Haha, it helps to take note of the ones you do see and apply them in future games but you know I am a Dead By Daylight nerd. 🤓
You ever just purposefully leave them up to see what kind of chaos unfolds? 😏

I think any of the Hexes are a pain on indoor maps! Especially Midwich in particular. 😜
Me loading into an indoor map with hexes as solo.

I personally think Dwight is the cutest babygirl and immensely saddened he didn’t even make this list. He’s the prettiest girl, and for this reason the creator of this tier list deserves jail immediately.

That sounds brutal any indoor map probably where you gotta peak behind every single nook and cranny to try to find totems is as you said brrrruuuuutttaaaalllll.

I don't know as it is not my playstyle as Killer.
However, three really good streamers/ content creators that I watch don't pick one or the other - they always run both.
Maybe you could do that and over time decide which one to omit from your build, or continue to use both.
Just thought I'd share that information in case you were interested.
Thank you for the information, I have no interest in running that kind of play style. I don’t really play killer a lot, but when I do I prefer perk less and add on less just to see how their base kits work mostly.
I was just curious which one other people thought were stronger between the two against soloQ, because I’m of the opinion that it’s knockout because at the end of the day HTTS is still a hex perk. My friend was asking, so I just extended the question to more people since more opinions is better than one.

I mean I play out my matches even if I think they’re going to end badly so who’s the real chicken? Thanks for PSA, could have just made a post about how you think lethal is OP though.

I did want to play but not after the killer running lethal persuer runs straight towards me bc he can noticably see im not at my monitor. I have thousands of hours bwo i know if a game is worth playing out based on how the start of the match is. if the killer didnt have lethal and i came back unscathed i would've carried on playing, but bc they made the dick choice to target the only afk person in the first 10 seconds of the match for an easy game i went to find my next game and the killer felt the need to slug me and bleed me out, as if they arent the reason im trying to go next.
Thousands of hours or one hour you’re coming across kind of like an entitled child. Idk take a lap or something. You could have just left match but you seem like the type that wouldn’t even want to leave your teammates with a bot and prefer to be useless instead and bring everyone else down with you.

yes. hook farm me and let me go onto my next game rather than slugging me for accidentally not being here in the first 10 seconds of the match
why don’t you want to play after you get back? If you were only gone for like 10 seconds why wouldn’t you prefer to be slugged instead of farmed? Your teammates can get you up and at least try to salvage the time you weren’t an active participant that cost the team.

Autohaven is the bane of my existence... Not so long ago I played 1 night for hours and almost all matches were autohaven due to survivors bringing azarov offering and if I brought sac ward or my own offering they would DC in loading screen. Pretty much in a position where I had to play no offerings to even play a match. Change to map offerings and hiding them in loading screen can't come soon enough.
meanwhile my fiend that I sometimes duo with sends me to maps I’m not a fan of because he thinks it’s funny, and I’m cursing his name because we’re at a saloon.

@HeroLives There is just something so satisfying about watching someone getting Blast Mined.
I haven't seen anyone get a locker stun on 2v8 but I cannot say I've tried myself- I don't think Head On exists in this mode as there is no description of it or perk icon to show It's ready but who knows, with DBD code perhaps you somehow did stun them
oh I absolutely stunned them because she did her little whimper and everything, and I felt so bad because I knew that probably wasn’t an intentional mechanic, and idk why it happened, but it happened. I was just trying to dodge a hit and see if I could put the killer into freeze mode( fight, flight, freeze) from surprise.

I do see what ur saying and honestly makes complete sense. I just thought to have a way to not only let players learn in a safe investment but also attract new players
you can play in kyf(kill your friends) by yourself and add in bots so that you can practice with bots that don’t affect your mmr while you learn a killers power if you’re not comfortable with public matches.

yeah I agree, but sometimes you wanna try to give people the Benedict of the doubt or whatever that saying is. I wouldn’t be mad if the devs skipped that experiment and just added it into match menu once loaded in and it’s started.

evil twin things I see. Also a solid build, but an evil build for sure. Speaking of head on is that built into 2v8 because I swear i hopped in a locker and quick jumped out and it stunned the killer. It was a huntress, and I was very confused.

It would be a good idea. Survivors would want to get a decent amount of time on generators and in chase, not just do 1 or the other. Them having incentive to want those things, at the cost of being inefficient let's call it, would take a lot of pressure off the killer to get people out as fast as possible. And surely his emblems would be incentivized as well, like the ones for hooking and for keeping gens up as long as possible, which would prompt the devs to make non-tunnel chases and gen defence viable again. I like it.
And thanks for the question about draws and ideal outcomes of a match. I haven't legitimately had to question myself on what I really want in this game... in like forever. It made me have to put those thoughts into words, and that was quite intellectually stimulating.
yeah we’re on the same wavelength there, exactly. I feel like I don’t even have to say it out loud, and you get it.Also absolutely the killers emblems should reflect that as well I agree with that because it goes both ways and should feel rewarding. Hooks/gens up over kills should be prioritized and with evader/lightbringer over escapes for sbmm. Both take more game sense in full overall in the grand scheme of things.
Also no problem, happy to help with that 🫡
-
for the team probably OTR, to waste everyone including your own teams time probably DS if they are actively trying to bait the killer.

except if you're not nearby for the person who just got off hook, theycouldat least feel the need to reset, which keeps them off generators a little bit longer.why would they? 🤔
I mean I would reset because 2 health states is better than 1. The only time I don’t actively try to reset is due to some other variable I need to account for. Ideally though resetting is preferable, of course.

If we're trying to force 100% fairness on everyone, it would be 50/50, 2 escape/2 die. But we're talking about 1 side supposedly being the power role, which the other side has to escape* against. Almost always, when the killer gets a draw, the survivors were on the cusp of winning, and not just at the very end, but pretty much the whole match. The killer, if he's playing as well as he can, shouldn't be struggling and under pressure the entire match. And I know that's hard to balance out when you take the other side into account, how well they're playing and what kind of pressure they deserve to be under, etc. So that's probably why the game should be pushed towards skill-based matchmaking, which we don't have.
We have a system that weighs only kills and escapes as to who did well and who didn't. It's easy to see that you can play really well as killer, and get beat out by advantage alone, or play way better as survivor than your teammates, yet you're the one who dies. That's not a lack of skill, that's just what happens. But people have been conditioned to only look at the result to determine skill. I think how well they looped or did gens, or how many hooks the killer got, should be a determiner of skill. But until we have that system, I'm gonna scrutinize the one we've got. And it seems like the way survivors get draws and wins is arbitrary, like no matter how well the killer does, they're just supposed to escape anyway. Look at hatch, a literal free escape, which opens in the case of their team's loss, or a win, just to give survivors more advantage.
HUA(heard understood acknowledged). Yeah I absolutely agree that it should move more towards sbmm and your performance vs the one we have now. Bc I personally think very similarly on this topic specifically. I just hope that for survivors evader and lightbringer and weighted heavier than the other emblems when considering skill/performance. What do you think?

And he was wrong, because he doesn't understand the game. Your survivor opponents do not become more difficult, skill-wise. The advantage they have, and their ability to capitalize on it, does. You doing better as killer would be getting 12 chases and 4 kills, instead of 4 chases and 4 kills. But for some reason, the game makes it impossible for you to do 12 chases, so you resort to the latter, and that's you capitalizing on an advantageous strategy, not you employing more skill. It's the same thing with what survivors bring. If they're bringing instaheals, they can heal or take an extra hit mid-chase, which they couldn't do with regular medkits. They didn't physically play better, but they'll perform better. But those survivors are hardly called into question of playing above their skill level, since they're bringing the best stuff. No, it's only the killer's inability to beat them that is scrutinized. That's why every single update Peanits was in charge of writing had this air of doublespeak about it, where for example "We're nerfing Pain Res, even though it's at comfortable power level/usage rate to us, because the killer simply* puts the survivor on the scourge hook and knocks a sizeable chunk off the gen, which isn't fun for the survivors."
He disagrees with us on MMR, because he said that's how the game's designed, to supposedly give you challenging opponents. We're in agreement that the MMR system is screwed up. It puts opponents and teammates together who have no place being in the same match. 2 survivors: armed to the teeth with meta perks, other 2 survivors: being in no items then search chests instead of do gens, the killer: armed with meta perks. Hmm, I wonder why the survivors lost? Maybe it's because half of them weren't even trying. But the moment 4 survivors know what they're doing, and go against a killer of equal hours and skill, the killer gets 3 hooks and 0 kills. Shouldn't those conditions instead result in an "ideal" 60% kill rate, a draw?
I mean at the highest 2 on average make it out, and 2 die according to statistics. Isn’t that a draw? What’s a draw to you? Should at the highest level if equally skilled sway one way or the other? I’m just asking to see where you head is at, this isn’t a trap on my end. I feel like if the best teams are going against the best killers 2 out is a tie and what would happen on average if it is balanced.

I’ve used the line up before, it’s really good and useful, great for support. I used to pick alert instead of open handed, but I imagine whether it’s alert , open handed, or ace in the whole it’s going to go really well with the other 3. Very useful for solo.

I used Bond for information, to locate and heal injured teammates, and to use Prove Thyself (Before the nerf).
I'm sorry you've only seen it for selfish purposes but I don't doubt you.

Year, some players made this suggestion and I feel this is the most healthiest solution for map offerings. Everyone has a most hated map and it is okay to avoid this map. It just doesn't feel fair and good to get send to a map one side wants and is prepared for it.
I really hope the offering change comes with the next Patch so we can give our suggestion and can convince the devs to change map offerings in that way.
I think if enough people wanted it to be a ban instead you can convince them now. So they don’t waste their efforts and have to change it twice.

…Why Bond and Sprint Burst?
The others I get even if I fully disagree, but Bond and Sprint Burst are some of the strongest perks in the game. Surely you'd be happy to see your teammates running strong tools?
Sprint burst users sometimes will just walk everywhere to save it, and bond users sometimes use it just to sandbag teammates. Not condoning skipping lobby for that, but yeah that’s why those two even if they are strong when used correctly, they can be used super selfishly.

Everything I have stated is relevant and applies lol please tell me what I implanted
it’s not though a lot of what you said is just opinion. Aside from all the this and that, but what if this, and personal feelings on the situation. It’s this simple was op making progress ? If yes , then no ban. Checks ops post, says was doing gen. That’s it. All of everything else is just unnecessary information, personal feelings, and belittling. People aren’t entitled to a win just because the conditions suit them better. You say they shouldn’t hide the entire time, and to that i agree, but checks notes op says they were making slow progress while playing tactfully. Making most of what you say irrelevant. If survivors want to win in that situation the best move is to not get in chase at all and try to do gens when the coast is clear, otherwise it’s just hatch, but checks notes, seems like they were trying to stay alive and be a team player for a chance at the door since one other person was still alive. That’s not ego. He’s on the team side, trying to help both of them not just him, or just throwing so the last person might can get hatch. It’s an asymmetrical horror pvp game. Some people rise to the challenge in adverse situations, some don’t. So while you get the killers job is to kill, survivors job isn’t be in chase or offer yourself up, it’s to escape. Anyways long live stealth 🤘

I really wish the lobby timer was 15 seconds longer for Killers.
Survivors and their loadouts would lock in at 1:00 and then give the Killer at least 15 seconds in case they want to equip Lightborn for example.
Even in SoloQ matches where I win, I don't feel like it was necessarily fair if my teammates switched to flashlights or other things at the last second.
The Killer shouldn't be manipulated in the lobby like that.
I deeply agree with that as well, I’ve always felt that was unfair as well, and I don’t even really play killer. Feels bad. Survivors started last second switching though because killers used to lobby dodge like mad. I think locking in and giving killer time to adjust will just lead to lobby dodging, but I’m also open to trying it, and I don’t really know how to solve that other than hiding items in pre-lobby or just doing away with pre-lobby all together(which at this current time wouldn’t work because the unlinking from party bug when readying up sometimes loads you in without the other person(s).

If it's an unwinnable situation there's %100 an issue when the survivors are doing nothing. I don't think their aura should be revealed. Do you really think thay just lounging around the map doing nothing is "surviving" you survive by escaping. By hiding and doing nothing you will never escape and if the killer can't find you the game will never end.
Don't be a hypocrite. You're saying if killers don't want to be stuck, unable to find the survivors they should preemptively use perks to help them in case that happens. Yet complain about slugging when there's plenty of perks to counter slugging.
If you don't personally go for the 4k that's fine there's nothing wrong with that but don't go after anyone else for it. You can't defend hiding while going after slugging. Two survivors hiding can be indefinitely theoretically. A survivor bleeds out in 4 minutes. There's definitely a difference between the two.
it’s not that people don’t comprehend what you’re saying, it’s that you’re taking a situation that didn’t happen and implanting it into the topic, while simultaneously belittling people for not understanding. What you’re talking about is an entirely different topic not related to op’s question.
-
It should be be in the menu once the match has started or don’t bother adding it at all IMO because you’re just going to exacerbate lobby dodging and queue times. Survivors already talk tons of trash about other survivors load outs as is. Killers will actually get nothing but “pure sweat builds” if other survivors can see in lobby. I think it will be a bad call to add it to anything but in game menu once the match has already started.
-

how the turn tables turn if that’s the case. Fingers crossed they add it into the match menu once loaded in , instead of the pre-game lobby and save everyone the headache.
