Apples to Oranges. You are comparing a perk that what? Delays Sprint burst? To a power that needs to be used constantly? Time adds up and Nurse doesn't have movement speed to fall back on.
Exactly, Time adds up. Multiple survivors will suffer the three second exhaustion several times so mindbreaker is a good perk. You can still use it constantly, you’ll just need more strategy with it.

you're right but people also complained that spirit was terrible....and she was, so they buffed her.
sometimes the forums are right. Sometimes they're wrong. In this situation, it's very one sided which has me worried.
Every time a new killer has info released you’ll see comments calling them op or up, it is better to wait.

I highly doubt your nurse players are usually at red ranks Or that alot of you are even really that decent with her on PS4. The real strength of the character lies on PC that's what you don't seem understand. You're opinion on the general strength of her is jaded since you don't experience her the same way we do.
I am in red ranks, I still see good nurses. Your viewpoint of console players is jaded, I never once said she was as strong on console as she is on pc.

3.5 seconds is a long time and 6 seconds total is 24 meters the survivor can make on you. Take that one blink is 20 meters after a 2 second charge time which is an additional 8 meters for the survivor. Only thing the Survivors needs to do is run in a straight line.
Then mindbreaker is a good perk, three seconds is a lot of time after all.

Well see. When it comes to pvp games a good sign of balance is when both factions are pissed. IS killers saying the nerf is too big and survivors saying the nerf isn't enough.
I haven't seen a single survivor sides complaint yet. That's a red flag that this is a Major nerf...
People said original MoM was too weak while others said it was too strong, does that make original MoM balanced? No, it didn’t.
Nurse needs tested before we decide if she is too weak.

Oh that is probably how they felt About legion, shortly after releasing him. MoM do you remember that "scam"? Nobody could guess what the perk would lead to no no.
They caved into bad Players and that is it. They will do it over and over again. That is the reason why Trapper is broken, Clown is broken and doctor is broken and legion got broken. Just really really sad and they do not fix any of that crap.
Nobody called legion op, I played old legion a lot and sure, they weren’t strong but they had no counter play in chase, MoM was changed because it has next to no counter play. That stuff was unhealthy for the game, that is why it was changed.
Also, Trapper is another main of mine and he ain’t broken. Doctor is next on the list for changes.

Waiting for your second blink to recharge in dense LoS blocking maps will make any competent survivor nearly impossible to catch. You would have better luck with a Wraith against 4 old insta blind flashlights. Then when you do happen to land a hit they would more than likely have Dead Hard.
What I'm getting at, the devs are adding a cooldown on top another cooldown. If the goal is to give survivors more time they could change fatigue to limit her perspective of survivor location. Current fatigue is 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, .., plus 1s if you swing. They could of easily made it +2s if you swing. Made you less able to track while fatigue. Adding two cooldowns to a single action is punishing to do the action. When it comes to Nurse, you have to use her power. There's no turning into a M1 killer to chase.
You’ll still be able to catch survivors, if 3.5 seconds is such a burden then mindbreaker is a godsend.

Yes! Exactly! Which gets back to my original point. If people understood WHY we can't have an OP killer they would probably complain less.
these changes definitely blow but understanding the importance of the survivor role allows people to say "ooooh, yeah that makes sense now!" Instead of just being angry about a "killer nerf".
This is true, but the devs are trying to make this nurse change work, I think people will calm down after testing.

I don't think you're getting the point man. We're arguing about the overall strength of nurse where she's the strongest, where people player her the most, Which is PC. You're talking like you experience nurse the same way we do and that is wrong. Why? Because you don't play against PC nurse's. Case closed.
I don’t think that you get the point, I’ve put a lot of time into nurse, I stopped playing her for awhile but I do still pick her up. I’ve faced several really good nurse players, just because I’m not on pc doesn’t mean I can’t state my opinion.

Don't think like that! If you like the changes, good! If you dont, complain! If everyone just accepted everything the "developers" told them, we'd all still be living in England as someone's slave!
This is 2019. If something sucks, we have more ways of expressing it than ever!
Never said I wouldn’t state my viewpoints on it, I just said that the reason was probably because they felt that she was op.

I don’t see a problem with it

Lol that is also what people say about "god".
Blind faith is blind faith, be it in a ghost man in the sky or video game developers.
I believe I understand why the developers made these changes. Some won't believe it (whether it's true or not), others will refuse to believe it and other s will at least accept is as a possibility of believe a different reason.
When it comes to spending money, I will always refuse to accept something on blind faith though (that's called gambling) Even credit card companies won't do that.
The devs felt that nurse needed a change, not much more to it.

Who are you trying to kid. Every Dbd player knows that nurse on PS4 isn't anywhere near as strong as on PC. And we all know you in particular usually like to stick to the leatherface for some reason. Yes it affects you but if we're talking about HOW MUCH it affects you? Ummmmm not very much at all
Never said she was as strong as pc nurse, I don’t only play LF.

I am sorry but Nurse on ps4 is the opposite of what it is on pc.
Why are there so few nurses on console mh? There is a thread explaining how it is already, i think due to Frame Drops and sensitivity limitations his words were it is already twice the work. On pc it is half the work so please it isn't the same and it is not comparable. So yeah you can say stuff like you dont Need Nurse to kill survivors.
So do you think Nurse on console was considered by bhvr? I doubt it.
She really isn’t that uncommon on PS4 in my experience, considering you can learn nurse and make her the #1 killer on console, I think they did.

Single blinking around the map? Are you trying to make Nurse a dead character? Why don't you make me weapon wipe then go into fatigue every time I hit a survivor too?
How would you play maps like Lery's and Hawken's. Where every turn is a guessing game? You will lose any decent survivor one blinking around that map.
You misinterpreted what I was saying, using your one blink to get around the map would work fine, I never said don’t use your second one in chase.

How do you know that I don’t play her ever? How do you not see how this affects PS4 nurse mains?

You are correct but no match can take place of there is not a 4:1 ratio. Every match that is played (whether there are 10 people online or 100,000) there MUST be 80% survivors.
That means 80% of people playing right now, or ever, have chosen to play survivor.
The fact that this game persists, ensures that there are 4 survivors playing for every killer.
Yes there are wait times but that reinforces the point. Some folks would rather play survivor than wait as killer (they fall into the middle category), thus by marketing to survivors you are not excluding them (but rather including roughly another third of your player base, at least)
This discussion is good, because I almost ALWAYS play killer and would like to believe I am in the majority, but the fact is that there will always be 4 survivors for every 1 killer.
Think of it like this: if 25% of survivors quit, we would not have a single match (only 3 survivors for every killer would play) and killers would wait to fill their q.
If 25% of killers quit, there would be increased queues for survivors, not killers.
Long killer qs means there isn't an abundance of survivors. How can we get more people to play survivor?....
If survivor que times became long (which they are on PS4 in my experience) giving survivors more bp would fix that but then more people would play survivor on other platforms, fixing que times would be too tricky to work. The 80% thing is still not necessarily true, if the 80% thing was true then killer que times would never be long.

See, I don't get that. What's the point of fatigue if she has a cool down now? And that cool down plays out during fatigue. Why can't it be one or the other? It just sounds like this cool down crap was a last second decision that they slapped on for no other reason than to do it.
I don’t know the devs thought process, but I’m sure they have a reason.

This is not true because the addons were really stupid designed. Any change to the addons would have be better for Nurse mains but also survivors. The major addon issue was range addons and additional blinks addons. The other addons rarely got used and no survivor complained about them
I saw people complaining about plaid flannel being made common, if the add ons didn’t come out good then people wouldn’t be happy, if they were too good then people would complain.
I also saw people call multiple blinks and range add ons balanced before.

Yeah so?
I didn't say that it is. Just that you are not affected by the Nurse changes at all or generally Players on another platform than pc. Don't act like ps4 Nurse is even remotely close to what she can do on pc.
So yeah i kinda do not get why you participate in the discussion since you did not have to deal with it in any Kind or way. So what Is the Point of those comments? I dont get it.
I was hopefull that bhvr would make Nurse a balanced Killer and not dumpster her and make red ranks even more boring. We suffer from Long loading waiting times already as SWF. Most Players that take on survivors who bring stuff are nurses.
Nurse is a playable character in dbd, people on every platform play Nurse, so everybody is affected by the nurse change.
-
@Attackfrog said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/743265#Comment_743265
There are a lot of folks that play "both sides" but that is irrelevant. At any given moment when this game is active, 80% of the players are playing survivor.
there are more survivor characters, and the monetization scheme MUST be geared toward them, because, at any given moment, 80% of the player base HAS to be playing survivor.
all players will fall into 1 of 3 camps:
-killer "main"
-survivor "main"
-plays both killer and survivor
by marketing to survivor players, you are marketing to you majority player base at any given time (80%, which includes survivor mains and those that play both...so at MINIMUM 66%...this assumes a full third are killer players only)
people that play this game only as killer MUST be in the minority (or there would be no matches).
This is why logically, bhvr must cater to survivors for marketing. I am not blaming them in the least (they have to pay the bills) but would rather people understand that this is the case. Understanding this can allow folks to better understand the choices this company makes
If 80% of players played survivor then people wouldn’t complain about killer que times

Nerf haddonfield , nerf balanced landing so only the first fall only affect the stagger reduction , nerf hawkings with unbalanced landing then we are good.
That’ll trash BL, the speed boost would activate while you’re staggered.

How many people do you see rejoicing that Nurse got nerfed? Not many.
Regardless on if you think this is a big nerf or not, you must agree that this is huge for the game. The most dominant Killer with the second highest skill ceiling, Huntress still #1, got nerfed at the request of half the community.
THAT, that is very big.
Tbh any change done to nurse would’ve sparked a reaction, even just an add on change.

3.5 as the SLOWEST KILLER in the game! Are you not aware of how Nurse works? A nurse who is not blinking 99% of the time will get outplayed by red rank survivors because they will abuse your slow movement and take full advantage of that.
I use to main nurse, I know how she works. You’ll save a lot of time by using one blink to get around with this new cooldown, your cooldown will be more manageable if you play her a bit more strategically, still too early to say if she is good or bad though.

Yeah man, I don't know. I don't think she'll be Legion, but, she won't be great. I feel lied to because this is a major change to base kit and this was supposed to be a minor adjustment to base and a add-on rework.
If she needs it then I’m sure they’ll buff her but I don’t think the change is that major.

It's 6 on 2 blinks + fatigue for survivors to use Los. With that time you can get so much distance that the nurse won't catch up as the slowest killer in the game. But u can't blink either, cuz they already will be running behinds multiple walls and tiles in that time and trying to guess will hurt just even more because it gives you another 6 seconds recharge time. Idk how you can't see the issue.
Your cooldown starts while fatigued so you only need to wait 3.5 seconds for both blinks to be ready.
-
@Pulsar said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/743213#Comment_743213
Ah, that makes it better. However, count the charge time and her slow movement speed. Survivors are still making a ton of distance on a VERY slow Killer.
I still think she’ll be good, if she isn’t then she can always be adjusted before hitting live.

FYI: survivor cosmetics are a huge money maker for this game (as you can see from the store options), so these nurse changes actually make sense when you consider where money is being spent.

Killers buy cosmetics too

Three seconds is a lot of time when you use both blinks and land a hit. That bumps it up to a six second cooldown and a stun. Survivors will get close to Nurse's maximum blink range of distance by getting hit. She is very close to having her power hurt more than help.
I'll wait for the PTB, but, I'm not hopeful.
Your cooldown actually starts dropping while you’re fatigued so you only need to wait 3.5 seconds to use your blinks again.
-
@MrsPiggyIsSoSneaky said:
You really don't hear yourself do you? They basically made two add ons nurse has to rely on, and if there's one problem any killers that share, is the problem of having to rely on specific add ons and not allowing for a variety of add on usages and diverse plays. And also, everybody only asked for one thing, which was changing her add ons, but decided to do other things that we didn't ask for and was not needed at all
She has to wait 3.5 seconds after her fatigue, that doesn’t sound add on reliant to me.

Also, contrary to the popular narrative, a nurse nerf is actually bad for survivors, for reasons the OP stated. This means we'll be seeing even more Spirits.
Spirit is actually the #1 killer survivors hate playing against, not Nurse.
