Nobody ever did gens and most everyone just suicided on the hook to go to the next game. Que times were awful throughout part of it.

Why should survivors be forced to run Iron Will just in case they go against Spirit so they can stand a chance?
They aren’t, I can counter her without it.

"We"?
You're a trusted member of the community, not a official dev.
We as in console players. We, the console players don’t have dedicated servers. I hope this helps you understand what I meant. :)

It is clear no one on the team plays Nurse otherwise these changes would've never left the design table.
not_Queen is a nurse main.

I'm rank 1. Every month due to it being easily obtained. Even with meme builds at rank reset u will still rank up. And then you reach red and have to try super hard with stupid meta perks just to have a chance 80% of the time.
You don’t need the meta. I run spine chill, small game, balanced landing and bond. I still do fine.

I mean the scoring . BT should not give safe unhook in the scoring event.
That is like me saying that noed should take away your points for hitting people, leave the bp alone.

if you think that, then you obviously haven't played against a spirit much, she has no good counter play unlike every other killer.
I play against her all the time and she has counter play.
@topic removing something is just wasted potential.

I recommend that everyone ask for buffs to low tier things if they hate the high tier things on both sides.

I usually actually avoid having legendary Pokèmon because I’m weird. :P

Delphox would be on my list, but I don't like some psychic types
Which is why Houndoom exists to crush all opposition!
Houndoom is nice but not a favorite of mine.

Same here, I wanted it but I am not buying a switch for a pokemon game I will play for maybe a few months
Still Charizard might be one of the best fire types imo
Delphox is my favorite fire type.

I will always have a passion for Ghost, Fire, and Grass types
My starters have always either been Fire or Grass, and later on I would get a Ghost type
It really depended for me.
On a side note, I was really hyped for sword and shield until I learned it is only on switch D: I’m not buying one just for one game. :P

You pretty much pulled out a reverse card lol
One of the best dark types is Sableye imo
Cause he is a dark ghost and nobody uses Bug types cause HP being so low and having so many weaknesses
My brother loved him lol
I always liked psychic, fairy and certain dragons and he loved dark and ghost.

I do not wish to carry this conversation on any further, since you so obviously are stuck up. you shouldn't tell others that their opinions are untrue. My first battle against him was comical, I accidentally over did it and ended the battle too quick
He destroyed my Delphox and espeon with his dark types so I decided to destroy his dark types.

I never thought of status effects as they never really activate if its not ability based
I usually have a Arcanine, or however you spell the doggos name, as flame body exists and burned and I usually have toxic on my posion types cause, badly poisoned is amazing
I just like using Fairy and psychic types but Altaria will forever be my favorite.

You mean large maps? Care to elaborate? I'm interested in this argument
Auto haven, Azzoravs (dunno how to spell it lol) these maps have really open non-mind game able loops. Haddonfield has so many safe houses that it can be awful for killers.

@oxygen said:
There's a lot of horribly unfair stereotypes about the skill requirements on both sides. Billy has an incredibly low skill floor as he's very easy to pick up and play compared to some other strong killers, but stuff like curving during the initial high sensitivity at the start of a chainsaw charge is something that'll take a while to get good at, and even more to get close to mastering it. Obviously the killers relying on unique mechanics like Nurse, Huntress, Hax and indeed Spirit are generally more tricky as you often can't fall back on regular M1 chasing (which in itself isn't as "just put on enduring and spirit fury and then bloodlust 4Head" as some megaminds claim)
Same for survivor. So much "just run in circles 4Head", but that's more because it's a common thing in games to undervalue types of skill that aren't explicitly mechanical and "flashy". Hitting a crazy hatchet as Huntress is a lot more flashy and impressive to a random observer than knowing how to run all the variations of every tile, and how to combine them in an effective way. Doesn't matter if you hate good loopers or even the fact looping exists for whatever reason - it's still a skill that's part of what seperates bad, good and excellent survivors. And that's without even thinking of actions that involve more than one survivor, teamplay in other words.
It's not much different than the elitism you see in some games from people that play stuff like sniper/other aim-intensive characters/classes when they look down upon people playing support characters. I'd know, I used to be one of those snobby TF2 sniper mains that thought every other class was super easy ... until I actually started playing them. And there's a lot of these "softer" skills in all sorts of killer play too.
I pretty much 100% agree with you here.

@BenZ0 said:
Spirit has a high skill ceilling too, pretty much at the level of huntress. I only saw 1 good spirit in all my 2k hours in dbd (pc). All the rest use stridor or are just decent and only knows the basic. None of them dont even know why wakizachi saya is good for and much more things like that. No good husk blocks, always using 100% of the phasewalk in chase, predict really bad and cant even hear healthy survivors or the different ground noices from foodstebs (yeah you can hear wooden grounds louder then normal ground). There are ton more things you should know on spirit.
But I agree, overall survivor has a higher skill ceilling in chase, but you still dont need to be good in chases because rushing gens is the most effective and easiest strategy.
I’ve actually found a lot of good spirits but no stridor Spirits.

Actually know. The higher tier in Calm Spirit only affects birds.
You never scream period even with Calm Spirit level one.
Or did they change this? I haven't used Calm Spirit in ages.
Leveling it up affects screams, I think.

They will costs you, often more than a survivor mistake because survivor perks and items are mostly to correct mistakes (distance, stealth, and healing) you get hit as a survivor from a bad loop you use the speed boost to get away and try to heal. You get blinded or pallet stunned while carrying a survivor you just lost all your map pressure and have to waste time doing the same thing again and now the survivor has a chance to get away
You can easily avoid that happening to you as killer, you can hear survivors approaching, bait them and just play it safe when flashlights are being used. Mistakes can cost you as survivor too, also, healing perks aren’t for correcting mistakes.

I noticed when playing Jake today that he still screamed even tho i was running his 3 teachables, but when i got his achievement a few days ago he didn't
I thought it was a glitch but the guy above you said apparently its been nerfed
You need tier three calm spirit for it to guarantee you don’t scream.

If they didn't the killer would never get more than 1 kill if that
Killers also make mistakes, those mistakes can often cost you.

It took me no time at all, but i played a lot of killer before ever touching survivor. I think it mostly comes down to game sense but your reasoning for "killer does better in low rank" is because is killer largely is based off mistakes survivors make. Low rank survivors tend to make a lot of mistakes and just run from killers in a straight line. Higher and mid ranks where both sides are experienced, survivors tend to have the advantage over most killers.
In my experience, people still mess up at high ranks more than people think, they’ve just learned how to correct those mistakes better.

Honestly it's just obnoxious. I can go game after game, never be seen, fixing a gen. Like fifteen minutes of holding down a button.
But killer is easy ??? Dude gtfo
I never said killer was easy, I can avoid killers too but it took me awhile to master it. You cannot deny that.

Try getting pip consistently with Legion, Doctor, Wraith, Clown etc at Rank 1,
without sweaty add-ons and mori.
Then we talk about who has higher skill ceiling.
I use to with Wraith when I mained him.
@DonnieTheZombie said:
Holding m1 opposed to just clicking it is a great difference
More to both sides than that.
@PhantomMask20763 said:
I think both sides have a specific skill floor that you need to master in order to be effective. You can be a great survivor but you can also main one of the "lower tier" killers and try to do well with them at high ranks, so are they truly easy? Look at someone like Wraith for example, very basic, go bing bong and be invisible, but there's a lot more to him than that. Lots of tricks you can do with him and builds to be effective. Same goes with survivor, it's not just running around in circles, you have to be attentive, stealthy, slick and unpredictable if you want to survive. I'm basing this off of high ranked gameplay since lower ranks are a whole other story.
But yeah, I think both sides require certain skills to be able to be good
I definitely agree that both sides can be difficult.

@Mister_Holdout said:
I don't want to engage in this conversation too much, but I do want to point out one thing: Billy has a very high skill ceiling as well because his power has quite a bit of depth.
When you steer the chainsaw with Q and E like I do, there's a lot of practice and improvement involved.
I didn’t include him since he usually can do well in high and low ranks, he does have a high skill cap though.

First video is only Spirit, second video is Nurse, Spirit and possibly other killers. (Mostly nurse and spirit though)
-
@sorrowen said:
Listen as far as I'm concerned the devs are catering too casuals so they will buy their overpriced cosmetics. Nerfing spirit and nurse is blatant catering to the lowest common denominator casuals don't even play DBD for 4k hours but in short spurts so they cater to them on nerfs? I imagine the devs think Bloodborne isn't fun because its too hard for casuals :( A hard to beat killer is a good thing when most of them in DBD are jokes.
You don’t need 4K hours to not be considered a casual and as for your Bloodborne comparison, I love facing spirit and can counter her but I don’t find Bloodborne fun.
-
My reasoning for this is map design.
-
You’d probably die anyway
