I had two full hours of killer at +50% BP bonus yesterday, first time I saw it.
-
The problem with this is that you would completely screw over ranged killers who have to adapt to the usual survivor MS, even if they are faster as well. Same thing for stuff like Demo's Shred, Pig's Dash, etc. You'd have to basically rework almost every killer in the game. Imo shrinking maps is the way to go.
-
Thank you for this, the amount of people who think this mechanic has been some sort of buff to killer surprised me. Someone even told me every 3-5 games survivors were doing comebacks from full team slugs lmao. It's literally just a "win faster" mechanic, it has next to 0 impact on balance.
-
Sadako and Dredge better than Artist, Spirit, Oni... No, just no.
-
It's a very tiring playstyle and boring for both sides. I'd rather have Sadako buffs and to see this playstyle to hopefully die when the Finisher Mori update comes.
-
My playstyle with Nemesis is rushing to get Tier 2 and then I only use the tentacle to get hits where a M1 hit wouldn't be possible. Imo STBFL is very effective on him, especially if you're in middle/late game and happen to be chasing a non-contaminated survivor, because if this survivor drops a pallet you can use the tentacle to break the pallet and get a M1 instead of hitting the survivor and giving a free boost.

I really wish there was a ranked/competitive mode where Archive challenges didn't progress. It's seriously annoying as someone who only plays to win.
I used to be against making two separate modes but with people throwing every single match because of those stupid challenges I agree with you.

Not necessarily. I've been in plenty of games as killer and survivor where this has turned around against the killer.
Unless you have Unbreakable (which is going to be basekit) or other self-pick up perk it's always a win. If the killer can't reach a hook he'll just let you bleeding out, and if you're on your first hook any smart killer will wait to see if you kobe.
-
Slugging all 4 survivors is already a win for the killer. This just speeds up the process.
-
Man I was dreaming today of Sadako buffs. Sad.
-
Merciless Storm on the same tier as DMS doesn't even make sense. It procs way less and the effect it has isn't even that good, not to mention the skill checks are not that hard to deal with.
-
They announced they were going to rework Moris a year ago. While I agree there are more pressing issues with the game it's still a good QoL that they are going to remove slugging survivors for 4 minutes. I'd actually say QoL changes produce a more positive impact on the game than pure balance changes. I'd rather play a fun but unbalanced game than a balanced but unfun one.
-
Survivors in F13 have the equivalent of facecamping with Bubba aka stopping the killer completely from playing the game. I get you might find flashlight and head on squads annoying but in DBD you'll never be stopped from playing as killer.
-
Oh no people have friends what am I going to dooooooo
-
I had the same problem a long time ago and what helped me improve a ton was playing killer without perks. On the old days of the emblem system I made a promise to myself to reach rank 1 after the reset without using perks and so I did. When I started using perks again my gameplay improved a lot.
-
Damn, did you do all of this by yourself? Very impressive, wish we had official stats like these. You should put this in his Discord, he'd definitely love to see these stats.

sounds like a perfect description for huntress. press m2 to zone survivors.
It's not.
Huntress slows down to a snail pace to prepare a hatchet, takes 1,25 seconds to release one at minimum speed and also has a harsh speed punishment if you decide to raise a hatchet and not throw it.
Compare that to Nemesis for example. If a survivor goes through a pallet you raise the tentacle and if the survivor decides to drop the pallet he takes a M2, and if he decides to continue the loop he takes a M1 because Nemesis has a very short wind up and cooldown for his power. A Huntress in this situation can't get a M1 because she actually has good designed cooldowns.
The same applies for Artist, Trickster, Dredge, Slinger... basically killers whose counterplay boils down to WWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
-
I wish more killers were like Huntress. Strong but fair to face. Since 2020 it feels most killers boil down to "press M2 to instantly zone survivor".
-
I'd say Dredge.
-
Probably one of the most overrated perks in DBD. It's a good perk but I'd take it instead of another slowdown. Try playing with it and you see that even with 8 stacks the survivors still have plenty of time to reach a loop after a hit. I agree it shines with camping but that's more of a problem with camping than it is with a perk.
-
The self pickup should only be available if at least 2 survivors are slugged. If it goes live as it is a survivor can go down at a pallet with a teammate nearby and it's a lose-lose situation. If you slug to go for the saver the downed survivor just gets up, and if you pick up it's a free pallet save.
Also what is going to happen with killers who have powers on a limited timer? Am I supposed to use Corrupt Purge on Plague to down a single survivor every time?

DBD is still balanced around on which side brings the strongest stuff and applies the sweatiest tactics. The problem is that it's very unlikely that all 4 on a solo team play like that, hence why solo Q sucks.
-
I remember having to practice great skill checks because every killer under the sun was running Hex Ruin.

And we will get more hook divers, already hooks are swarmed in a lot of games, people complain of camping but they dont give us a chance to leave the hook before they unhook..... Do you really think we will leave if we see you there??
Hook bombing is not as common as hook camping in my experience, and even if it happens you can still M1.
-
Janky animations, power creeped by Blight and Oni, trash addons, a complete unnecessary mechanic that only hinders skillful plays and the only bugfix he's had recently only removed one of the fun things you could do with him (skybilly).
He's dead and buried. I'm 100% someone on the dev team hates Billy and we should be glad they still didn't delete him by accident.
-
Thr STBFL part is false. Even at max stacks trading is still possible. Otherwise I agree all killers should receive the Artist treatment and be unable to use their powers near a hook.
-
Pig has 3 abilities and she's still D tier. Doesn't really mean anything.
-
Agree 100%. Would rather take 10 Blights and 10 Nurses matches than all those braindead antiloop killers (Artist, Trickster, Nemesis...) or unfun stuff like Legion and Pinhead.
-
Lethal Pursuer is fun. The only fun part of playing survivor are the chases and I don't mind being chased straight away. If you're being hooked in less than 20 seconds into the match then I'm sorry but it sounds like a skill issue.
-
I don't think so, I still run DS + OTR since 6.1.0 and it's insane the amount of time it buys against a tunneling killer. Kind of sad that we have to dedicate half of my build just to play the game, but at least OTR does something even without being tunneled.

Honestly dont know why he didnt sooner. Different stroke for different folks i guess. Inevitably we all need a change of scenary. Farmet john did the same and he was much better for it.
When Elden Ring came out I thought he would take a long break from DBD, but even during his first playthrough he was doing streams in between. I know most of his income comes from this game but damn dude.
-
Yeah I'd take a break eventually if I constantly streamed this game for 8+ hours.
-
A single survivor progresses a gen 4 times faster than the killer can regress it. Just split your team so you aim for all 3 generators and it's a war of attrition the survivors eventually win.
-
I'd agree with you if cheaters weren't so rampant.
-
The only objective of these stats is to show how much survivors are escaping and how much killers are killing. There's not much more to it. They're not "useless garbage" because you can't pull out a 5 page essay about game balance from it, Mr. Data Analyst lmao.
-
It's very obvious at this point after the bloodlust buff they have given up on making balanced maps.
-
Oni isn't a weak killer at all. His power is way harder to evade than Billy's and Blight's which is why its put into a limited usage. The rest is pretty accurate though.

It has pretty consistently been nurse for years and years. There has never been a time where nurse hasn't been complained about, deservedly so, of course.
It really isn't. I've been playing this game since 2018 and the only time Nurse was consistently complained about was before her rework a few years ago.
https://youtu.be/XZTHHELEHrA put on 21:30, just an example of a content creator saying she was fine not too long ago.
-
It's way too weak compared to DMS. An idea that I had for this perk is that it should work twice, activating after you hook 3 different survivors instead of 4 and for 45 seconds, BUT it only activates if you get further than 24m from the hook and it gets instantly cancelled if you come back to it, so you can't just use it to facecamp a hook for free.
-
That's just how the DBD community works, a few months ago it was Blight and his addons, then Artist and DMS, then Bubba and his facecamping, then AFK Pig, then Legion after his rework, then Nurse. Now we're in a transition phase where we're all searching for a killer to hate, wouldn't be surprised to see something like Condemned Sadako here.
-
Your post has some very good points and I agree with all of your suggestions, but you really should change the title and the very few first paragraphs. They made you sound salty.

If 61% is reasonable, then why not allow survivors to escape 61% of the time and let killers get a 39% kill rate.
It's literally in their blogpost: "In Dead by Daylight, the Killer should strike fear into the Survivors. Part of this comes from being a big, scary looking person or monster, while another part of this comes from their ability to kill you. Before the 6.1.0 Update, we found Killers to be a little lacking."
Whether you agree with this is irrelevant, for the devs 61% is reasonable 🤷
-
Would be interesting to see the escape rate of groups vs solo. Wouldn't be surprised to see something like 80% kill rate on solo queue.
-
Okay Basement_Bubba420
-
They buffed it around Artist release.
-
The problem with current solo queue is matchmaking. Can't discuss this here due to the source of this information but it has been pretty much confirmed that right now SBMM is working like the old red ranks to alleviate queue times, which was terrible. There's no amount of buffs that can compensate lack of skill, you could make gens take 60 seconds and give survivors 5 perk slots and it wouldn't matter if you get matched with a Meg that walks around the entire match saving her Sprint Burst.
-
This thread took a weird turn near the end.
-
Because killers are naturally stronger in chase. Just imagine a Bubba with Sprint Burst.
-
It's the most popular perk for me but I'd say it has like a 35-40% pick rate. Before the nerf it was rare to play a match without 3-4 Dead Hards, now at least I see a lot of Lithe and Sprint Burst.
