I told from a very first day of the event - "Killers have no time to participate in it".
Now if I play killer, I participate only when I'm confident enough, that I still can at least 3k in a match.
When I feel pressure as a killer, I'm not even looking at "event stuff" direction. xD
-
Oh yes.
I got kicked from a matches at least once or twice per day, with "Dedicated something" message.
And I also lost an offering + got penalty.
I wonder if everyone gets the same... If the game tells me that everyone were kicked out.

The new killer xenomorph is unblanaced because he can throw his tail over the pallets and obstacles when deathslinger and huntress have same potential but they have 4.4 speed and for some reason xeno have same speed on standed and crawl mode "4.6". Its huge advantage for killer it must be changed xeno must be 4.4 killer in crawl mode or another alternation make m1 hits unavaliable in crawl mode.
"sorry for bit ugly post. im not that guy who is posting things everyday ;d"
You need to try play Xeno for couple of matches before stating that it needs a nerf.
4.4 for a basically melee killer is a very HUGE "wants".

This would come in handy. At least for not mobile killers.
But ghosts are still useless. xD

its in beta, some people prestige is hidden, while for others it is not. I don't understand what this test is supposed to prove only testing on a portion instead of on everyone.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3566022#Comment_3566022
Its a massive issue. When I play my high prestige kate I watch killers join and leave over and over sometimes for longer than 15 minutes this is also after the initial queue to even get into a lobby. we're talking an upwards of 20-25 minutes just to get into a game. Then the poor replacement is usually a baby killer who I sadly trounce or a savage monster and I get tunneled right away.
however when I play a low prestige character I don't see the dodging and m unless I have a high prestige in the lobby.
dodging over prestige is stupid as hell because prestige is only proof of time investment, not skill.
Not only that. It's a big issue because @Mandy once said: Dodging lobbys result in a matchmaking issue.
It can put a hardcore competitive killer vs new survivors. Or otherwise, a new killer vs 10k hours survivor mains.
Each time one dodging and other is joining.

They are broken only when they're entering the void realm injured.

You make it sound like a walk in the park for survivors. I hasn't been for me.
If a killer participating in this event by enterring the portals to get ghosts - you as a survivor basically playing without a killer.
You're free to slam gens while the killer is wasting time on basically nothing. Those ghosts are practically useless.
You're not even getting a lot of bloodpoints for doing so. A good source of bloodpoints are just spending them to open a portal.
-
I agree on that.
There should be different ways to get the energy.
Main objective as the source of energy is just making the games more sweaty, salty and angry.
-
They turn them off in the lobby, because of a "dodging issue".

I feel like they were going for something big with the void realm, but it might not have landed as they intended. So far, I've played 2 killer games. One with Artist on Eyrie (ironic), and one with Xeno on Ormond. Both times, I got survivors trying too hard to stun me and going down as a result, and both times I got people down in the Void realm. I guess survivors were building into stunning last time, but it still feels like the best way to get points for your haunts/rifts is with gens and hooks. Then, people try to "escape" into the void realm... which is a bad idea. I've just jumped through the rift after them, and I usually catch them because they can't exit the void before an attack lands. Even if they have endurance, the action resets and they have to try again, with the same result.
On top of all this, the Haunts don't really feel like they add anything back in the trial. Both games I charged a number of Haunts, and they do pretty much nothing. None of my Eyrie Haunts were triggered, and on Ormond the survivors triggered a haunt, but I was far away from it. It feels like the survivors didn't get any Haunt-related bonuses either.
Overall, the Void Realm-and-Haunts thing feels too complicated to attach to a trial. The Killer has little to no incentive to go into the Void Realm except to catch someone, and you can't escape from the killer by jumping into the Void Realm. When you do get a Haunt, it doesn't really do anything. It's too much risk for too little reward.
TL:DR - I think the Void Realm could be cool as a setting for a quick, rush-type game mode, but it doesn't work as a side objective.
Exactly.
No reward for the ammount of time you have to waste.
The game's paste as a killer doesn't allow you to do any side objectives if it's not less than 10 sec.
Plus - Survivors are more hardly doing gens because they want energy, so you have even less time to waste as a killer.
I played 4 matches already, trying to achieve those ghosts is only harming your outcome.

There is a hook in the void realm... It's not a safe shelter.
Ok, what it has to do with anything, that I just said?=)
The point of my thought - The buffs are WAY too niche (90% useless), for the time you spending to achieve these useless buffs.
From the personal expirience, going in and out of the portals to get those ghosts will 100% cost you a lose in a match.
The current paste of the game as a killer - simply does not allow you to waste any time on a side objects.
Imo - Developers should've made it so "While portals are active - gens are blocked" So everyone should participate in the event.
But the thing is - void realm map is way too small. And if all 4 survivors are going in - it's a free win for killer.

Please let us use our ghost allies to expose survivors on demand or break pallets, that was the best event ever :D :D :D
I'm telling you. xD I just played a match as a killer: to do all that stuff to get at least 1 ghost out to the real map, you have to spend a good 15-20 seconds before you getting out of the portal, just to get 1 survivor hindered for like what... 15 seconds? I haven't even noticed anything.
Now imagine how many times you have to do so in order to get SOME value... It's not worth it.
Besides, while I was doing all this, they were just completing gens. -_-
I'd rather just playing a game normaly and breaking heads around. xD
-
Don't even worry, it's just called Rough matches.
It's happening in every pvp online game. Lol, Dota 2, CS, (everything).
When I was playing dota 2 ranked, I've got the guy who had 12k hours alone on steam (I've no idea how much hours he got before Dota 2), and sorry to this guy, he was terrible at least in this match. He literally played, like he just only got the game a week ago.
-
When I started playing DBD, the killer that I wanted to play has to go with teleports, so I started from Nurse and my matches...
You know how it went...
-
Wraith one is amazing! O
-
It depends on a situation and the tile.
There is some pallets that you CANNOT mindgame. You just want it to be gone.
-
Guys you have a report button in EGC for a reason, and a section called: "Harrassment".
If they're "S-talking" about your gameplay... I mean, do I need to say anything? S-talking in the internet is a very common thing, even the most aducated pro-players s-talking all the time.
Just be more tough-skinned.
-
How does chase oriented perks become boring?
To me the only boring thing to go against as a killer, is when they bringing perks that increasing the gen speed repair.
-
I see people saying "Matchmaking in public", like in DBD we have a "Ranked matchmaking"... You don't need to say "In public" tbh.=)
To answer your question, I need to ask a few things:
- Are you afraid to be embarrassed in front of a 4 randoms?
- You think your favorite killers are "unplayable" in the current meta?
- You stressing out because... You want to win?
I remember I got this feeling when I was playing singularity, literally after 2 matches I told myself - "I don't really want to play again..."
The matches were really stressful, after each match I was smoking 1 sigarette.
Also - any player who have 1k+ hours in the game playing both roles, the game should stop being stressful.
Unless the player's personality is highly competitive.
So my advice: Stop being serious and play for fun, funny moments, fun chases, goof around with survivors from time to time. It will help.

BHVR is pumping out chapter after chapter after chapter.
Quantity over Quality.
You can feel it. It would be very wise to reduce the amount of chapters to 3 and increase Bugfixes and Gameplay-Adjuatments more frequently.
We are waiting for 2 years for the Twins-Changes, we are waiting till... whenever... for the Freddy-Changes.
With every patch new bugs are around the corners.
There is no "hype" for the new chapters because they arrive faster than anything. It should be more special.
For the money: install different things to gain money. Original-Chapters can be bought with shards anyway, so no reason to pump and pump and pump.
Xeno kinda still feels "new", but hey, in 3 weeks we have PTB for the next chapter. Too fast for me. More Midchapters! More QoL! More Perk-Adjustments! More these things.
Basically this.
Veeery long ago I've said something similar.
If you take a closer look, new and old killers are like from different games. Old killers missing a lot of animations like a proper rotating animations (and a lot more), there is a lot of old killers that are desperate for changes.
In short - Update the animations and gameplay for old roaster, fix the bugs related to old stuff.
I'd take that over new stuff anyday tbh.
-
When they bodyblocking with BT for injured teammate - it's completely ok. It happened a lot in my matches when injured survivor goes for unhook.
But when they bodyblocking with BT for a healthy survivor - this situation where you can go for them again, since there is no point going for healthy one and hitting them 2 times, when you can just go and hit 1 time a guy who bodyblocked right after being unhooked.
I think It's a common sense.
Don't bodyblock for a healthy person, after just being unhooked - it's a mistake.
-
Guys I did a lot of digging and... You guys are completely right.=)
To avoid pentimento you just need to ignore Plaything, I thought the oblivious were a strong debuff, but it's actually not THAT strong...
It's completely useless in a chase, since you still can see the red stain (I thought you couldn't) and hear a chase music, you basically need to predict and learn that if killer have plaything, it might have a penti as well, so the fellow survivors needs to learn the tactic and it will be at least 1 useless perk for killer, might be 2 useless perks if you play around plaything.
I doubted you guys at first, but now I finally understood what you meant... I was stupid, my apologies to anyone in this thread!
Thank you for eye oppening guys!

Experienced players (or SWF players) don't do totems - they call the killer position.
TBH, i've tested this combo sometimes and had very underwhelming results. Its a good combo, but i prefer other perks.
I don't think there is any combo of 2 perks which giving you 30% slowdown on gens (or other penti debuffs) along with "permanent" oblivious and time consuming 8 totem cleansing build.=)
@MrPenguin said:
As others have said its not that amazing.
But to add on: the killer also has to go walk over to each individual totem and relight them. So on large maps and for low mobility killers it can be a large time sink to go relight the totem to begin with.
You don't exactly have a lot of free time to just walk across the map to a genless area, relight a totem, then walk all the way back. On most killers at least. You'll lose all your pressure.
I think that is a bad use of Penti at this point.=) If you have a killer without mobility you should rekindle only when you're close to them, but not going across the map to do so. xD Btw, you can do that even mid-chase!
@MrDardon said:
Yeah, so broken that I can even work through the 30% penalty because of the lack of pressure the Killer has most of the time.
And even then, by paying the slightest bit of attention.. you can cleanse a Pentimento Totem relatively easy.
Work through 30% slowdown?=) You do realise that is 25+ seconds on each gen, right?=)
Well, lack of pressure is utterly on a player, you have to think from a perspective of a good killer player, not someone who don't know the basics as pressuring survivors. A good killer player with +25 seconds on each gen is a VERY powerfull thing.
Cleansing totems is exactly what I'm trying to say - 8 totems from just 2 perk slots is NUTS. Most people here saying "just don't cleanse plaything, just be aware", in all my respect to them, I don't think they understand how powerfull this debuff is, not hearing a killer TR in soloq is devastating. It's a free hits or even grabs from gens. You also unaware if you healing eachother and the killer is approaching from the corners that you can't see.

Had a bad match or something?=)

The nurse is definitly to powerful. There are experienced nurse players with 500 or even 1000 wins in a row that highlight that fact.
Breaking the rules of the game - well, the same way Mft is breaking the rule in a chase. You get for nothing (in that case even failing) a massiv boost over the other side. The question is rather, when you think Mft is not okay, why should Coup be?
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3550808#Comment_3550808
As you say, you know the person has it, once its to late. To get this straight, i dont think it is overpowered, i just think it should not be in the game because stuff like that is unhealthy for the gaming experience. Like is said, Mft has the exact same issue as Coup.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3550919#Comment_3550919
I did not say that. I think camping in general is often not the best strategy. Yet, a Killer who is designed for camping, no matter if we talk about hook or generators is by default bad for DbD.
With the maps being reworked (Developers adding more junk around, more LOS breaking) Nurse is already in a rough spot, have you tried to play her on a reworked maps?
I'm not a "God nurse" but I'm pretty decent with her, and I'm actually having a rough time playing on reworked maps, against decent survivors who knows the counters to her.
Besides the nerfes she already got, to her power and addons. Like come on, all "op" stuff were removed from her.
Nurse is ok now for an S-tier killer.
Forgot about Coup*:
I still haven't got the answer on why coup is breaking the rules of the game.=)
You know what breaking the rules of the game for me?=) It's MFT+Hope after survivor got unhooked.
If a survivor moving faster than 4.6 killers - this is what breaking the game's rules. Survivors (4 players) by ANY means should not move faster than a killer (1 player) in a game of "Cat and mouse".
-
@Pulsar said:
It's not really that good.
It's okay, but most people will catch on and just not cleanse totems.
Well then you have to play a game permanently oblivious. Even on open maps with the ammount of junk around, you will not see a killer appoaching you, and as I mentioned - you're gonna get grabbed from a gen or at least give a killer a free hit all the time, correct?=) Now imagine if you're playing on a indoor maps...?
The only correct counters imo:
- Playing in a swf and communicate where the killer at - but not everyone can play in a swf by anytime.
- All 4 survivors have to cleanse all 8 totems which is a massive ammount of time.
Oblivious is a pretty nasty debuff that you would not want to deal with, but also you don't want to spend a precious time on a totems...
-

Personally when I play killer, and see a lot of "+bloodpoints" offerings, I'm trying to play as much "fair" as possible, so that everyone will get enough juce from the match.
Unless they're being disrespectful and rude to me.=)
-
The killers who confident enough to second hook everyone before killing, being patience and even roleplaying while doing so - are the most terrifing killer players hands down.=)
I went against those multiple times and such matches were the most engaging and fun, even when losing.
Props to those killers, I wish for more matches like that.=)
-
Stop nerfing the Nurse, she's actually fine now.
Hope and Mft should not just work together.
"How the f Coup de Grace breaking the rules of the game...?" I didn't get that sentence.
Knight's minions instantly despawn when survivors are even touching a hooked person.
Skull Merchant's rework is on it's way. You can check PTB.
-
Amm... Basic Xenomorph skin can't do that in crawler mode as well, no?
You should check it again. In crawler mode from a survivor point of view, whether it's Queen or basic Xeno, head don't move up and down.
-
Hey, are you a "Grim gatsby" from YT?=) I'm still waiting on a Life of a Xenomorph main.
Personally I think this perk needs some utter nerfs.
1 perk slot without even being a hex should not give multiple strong effects. (Yes, I do think blindness is a strong debuff)
Same goes for MFT.
With Calm spirit you can at least counter a scream...
-
You basically answering a question yourself.
You running meme build and complaining about gen speed.
If it wasn't an issue before - that just means you got higher in ranks, when average survivors doing gens istead of running around looking for chests or totems.

Well if it's only one person of course but if it's multiple survivors then the build is necessary, either way the perk combo would stop it all without the annoying slugging that same person and having to leave, either way if this person is seeing it enough they feel it's gamebreaking then they absolutely can change their perk load out to counter it whether anyone feels like it's a waste or not
The thing I'm trying to say is that... You don't need to waste perk slots if you can play around any particular playstyle.
It's similar to the guy who complaining about flashlights and people saying - "Just run lightborn". You have to learn how to counter it without perks since the game allowing you to do so.
-
Personally I think it's hard to "cure".
The competitive nature is within some people personalities. It's hard to "pretend" that you enjoy losing.
-
As the guy above said - "Counting hooks is a basic killer skill".
But also, I can't see any reason to have that option. Like why?
I think the Entity purposely not allowing it.
-
He's pretty fun to play as, but very UNfun to play against.
My problem with his power - 100% rng based chase by AI.
AI is very unpredictable, sometimes it will cost you a lose. (They are running pass the survivors, they getting stuck, they are running weird pathing)
You can probably use any build on the knight, 1 thing - don't use hit-based perks like Jolt, 50% of the time your guards hit for you.
Also for pallets or gen kicking, just use your power to do it for you.
-
@The_Krapper said:
You can run iron grasp and agitation just as easily as they can run that combo and it will counter it, or you can play a killer like PH that counters it, also if they're all playing that way you're guaranteed to win even without countering it because if they're doing nothing but staying in places to get boil over value then gens aren't getting done, like others have said its not a reportable offense and doing so could get yourself banned for false reports.
It would be a waste to run 2 perk slots just to counter that 1 guy 2 perks. There is 3 other survivors.
Just not hook them, keep downing until they bleed out.
-
It's not reportable.
Bleed them out.
-
You haven't played old dbd I suppose?=)
Back then it was a literal Hide and Seek game.
Overall I agree, boring indeed, but you can fight it with aura reading perks or some killers powers, if you have difficulties in finding their hiding spot.
The thing is - stealthy playstyle is more efficient. I think "In your face" survivors are players who just bored of doing gens. So you have to adapt. Just try to memorise the most common hiding spots around gens, hear closely for footsies and breathing.
-
No.
The game still continues.
-
The nerf is ok.
The thing is - They bugged the tail attack, so it behaves weird now.
It goes through objects and only hitting by the full end of animation, which is incorrect.
Also, I was thinking why the hell they nerfing xeno, when it only needed a bugfix with the speed after missing M2...
Now it's nerfed and bugged as well.

Most people arent saying hes OP, (al though of course there are some) theyre saying hes unfun to go against. Think of it like SM or Trickster, 2 killers that are also complained about (Trickster not so much nowadays) not because theyre OP by any means, but because theyre a chore to go against.
Reason why (at least for me) that I dont think hes fun to play against is because he encourages unfun gameplay of just holding W and predropping pallets. There is barely any skill expression on either side with this kind of gameplay
People literally saying that he's not fun to play against because he's overpowered, I've yet to see a post that guy complains about his ability design alone. xD

This is always a bad take. Yes, the game is a 4v1. This does not mean that the 1v1 does not matter at all.
In fact, if the 1v1 is bad, the 4v1 does not matter. It does not matter if there are 4 Survivors when they die like flies because the 1v1 is so bad.
But they don't die like flies, no? =)
Let's say you play Myers or GF, or Piggy or etc M1, and you play 1v1 against a survivor equal to your "skill level", this survivor will run you for a good 3-5 min.
4-5 min is enough to complete all 5 gens, you know? Drop the chase? What if all 4 survivors at the same skill level?
This is what I don't want the killers to be, it's not fair, I watched a lot of vids about 1v1 and good survivor gameplays, most of the time it's not a killer's "skill issue" it's more of a map design and perks that both sides uses.
Now we have a killer who can down survivors within 15 - 40+ seconds, and people want it to be nerfed. -_-
Besides the facts that this killer have obvious counterplays.

Yes, I take a flamethrower and move very slowly to place it near a generator and then repeat this process, only for it to be destroyed in 2 seconds and then enter a tunnel and regain its power.
Do you just answer with bias?
Dude, there is 3 survivors besides you, who just sit on gens, while Xeno is trying to deal with your "Turret" shenanigans.
If he tries to leave you and go for other gen from a tunnels, guess what, there is another turrets.
-
@Neprašheart said:
Xeno's power shouldn't charge as fast as it does while being underground, and turrets shall kick Xeno out of the power much faster than they do at the current moment, especially with add-ons involved. Get rid of those add-ons or further increase the damage dealt by each turret.
Another problem is the way Xeno's power works; You can easily stack Play With Your Food and focus entirely on tail attacks the entire match, and you're basically playing against a ~130% killer with anti-loop ability with little to no punishment for missed attacks. Like, sorry.. But that's too strong.
Besides turrets doing pretty much nothing unless stacked at one place, problematic add-ons (turret ressistance add-ons), and almost zero punishment for missing tail attacks, Xeno is in a perfect place.
If we were to go even further, then adding a cooldown before heading underground would be the most I'd do. For example, unless your power is at ~25%, you can't enter the tunnels. It's not like charging it takes that long even when you're above..

It's not working with Xeno's M2 anymore. You lose stacks of PWYF when you hitting M2.

Well, yes. There is a player base that wants to be able to loop the killer for 5 gens, run to the exit gate tbag until the last second and write "GG" in chat. Anything beyond that and interferes with this plan they will piss and moan about how it's boring, not fun and not fair.
People forgetting that this is a 4v1.
As in a team of 4, you can't expect to be able to run a good killer player for 5 gens, it's just not ok.
