  • Omg… Wait…

    I haven't seen "OP Nurse threads" for so long… It's like finding a unicorn…

I actually tried Nurse (I was maining her before) and brother… The LOS breaking junk on the map is just everywhere causing a complete chaos for me.

She also feels a LOT heavier with her camera movement. She doesn't have any add-ons to range or cd… What is the problem with her again?

  • Just test her out on PTB and make sure to leave a feedback for the developers. This is what PTB for.

This "panic" is unnecessary. Test her out and make sure to communicate.

I’ve said this repeatedly. Now killers are already running 3 aura perks with Iron Maiden so you can’t even use a locker to counter it. With distortion going into the trash, it’s only gonna get worse now.

No shot they are 4-keing with 0 gen regression against decent survivor players. The gens will fly out of control.

  • "Money for something they will make unplayable in the future."

You mean Skully? Ain't this character and her skins can be obtained with shards? Or I missed something?

  • Love most of the perk changes. It's like… Some of these perks were so bad that any change feels good.

    But Predator… Man…

I'm telling you - this perk will never be useful in this game. :D

  • I like most of the perk changes. But Predator… Man I feel like this perk will never be useful. :D

To be fair, the same could be said for the other side. You can easily spot a bad killer the moment they run aura perks for every little thing they do.

"Ok, I kicked a gen. Where do I go now? I can't see anything, maybe I should open a locker. Where's everyone? Ah, there's a player here. Let's hook them. Where should I go now? I don't know what generators are being worked on, might as well let the game tell me."

I thought gen-regression perks were a "true indicate" of a unexperienced player. :D

    Oh and Noed…

this usually happens when you tunnel, so survivors say "oh u wanna play like an immersed killer not caring about anything? ok lets go immersed survivor gameplay time"

having good manners as a killer will get you a lot more enjoyable games

Me? Tunnel? I don't think I used tunneling in all of my 3444h playtime when I was a killer. :D I'm playing this game for chases only - "cat&mouse" for me is the most fun aspect of the game, don't really care about the outcome as long as I'm enjoying myself.

Survivor players did that to me numerous times tho (2 last survivors hiding). For 0 reason. Just to anger me.

Why? They are wasting their time and my time on a match where I have to waste my time on the most unfun part of the game - searching for survivors on edges of the map or lockers. While it's a part of the game's experience - doesn't mean it's fun. I'd rather waste my time on chases running from a killer, or as a killer chasing a survivor.

  • Veeeery long ago DBD was more of a hide&seek type of game. Now it's not (for years actually).

While hiding still works to waste some killer's time - the main part of wasting a killer's time - being good in a chase.

Also: Trying to find a survivor to chase is the most boring part of the game to me. I think I'm not the only one who finds it boring.

Ever was left with 2 last survivors hiding for the rest of the match and not working on gens? :D

  • I don't play it on either side personally coz I just don't like this game mode…

Honestly I'd love if they implemented a low-priority queue system like what Dota 2 has. I guarantee EVERYONE here that such a system will make soloqueue 50% more tolerable.

    Low-priority system? Like in Dota2?

Absolutely nope. Dead by daylight can't afford such system. You know why dota 2 can? - Massive player count, and coz it's highly competitive. Dota 2 has 300-600k players daily. They need this system because of ranked mode, and their player count (a.k.a q times) wouldn't be affected by LP system.

    Initially - LP system is a "different" game-mode with it's own q-times.

Dead by daylight on the other hand - doesn't have enough players to afford a different game-mode. 2v8 with it's q-times was a clear evidence. Not only that - DBD isn't THAT competitive. If it's even can be competitive. Once the player in a LP - they wouldn't be bothered to play much. It's a different mentality here.

This would practically kill the game imo. The game is fine with dc penalty, the only thing they need to think about - pips deliberately killing themselves on hooks. Which is… Something like a design flawed.

  • To me - any form of "hug techs" are just a blatant unintended bug. And pips deliberately using those - bug exploiting.

Always been like this. It's even been confirmed by the behavior: - It's not intended.

No offence to Lilith Omen (if you know who it is) - but this guy was using unintended bug on Blight for years, and didn't get punished for.

I also don't know why this obvious and very popular bug wasn't fixed for such a long time.

  • I don't see it.

    I feel it…

  • I would say… 20% are really strong, 60% - are niche, and 20% are borderline useless.

Some of the perks feels like worse version of existed ones.

  • I thought you were going to talk about - flashlight saves are more easier now, and no hook grabs…

    Skill expression…

  • If anything… I think Lights out was pretty unpopular…

Switched perspective modifier… Is just going to be a killing fiesta. It might be fun as a survivor to get some spooks\jumpscares here and there, but overall - I don't know how you will survive at all.

We've had time periods where the DC penalty was turned off

    It was absolutely miserable

Just because now they'll be controlled by bots doesn't make it much better

It doesn't make it any better - it's worse. Is there any enjoyment playing vs bots in a pvp game?

It's just forcing a killer to keep playing an unwanted match at this point.

No DC penalty you might end-up in a killer vs 4 bots. If I was a killer on such match - I wouldn't be bothered to keep going.

Or a killers will dc each flashlight save or pallet stun - which will be a queue simulator for survivors.

I feel like atot of people don't recognize this. Perks like PR and pop are win or perks. If I'm running around getting downs left and right do I really need regression? If I'm having a bad game or the survivors are on point is when regression is need. Imo ruin was still the healthiest regression.

Hex: Ruin? Nah bro, I'm completely against it.

The game is already have the rng with maps, Hexes are another rng. While Map rng is healthy because it adds some versatility to your matches for you to not get stale\burnout - rng with your perks\gameplay is completely the opposite.

Player should not hope for rng, rather than their knowledge and skill. Hexes are working more like rng based on their placement.

  • I have completely 0 problems with that. :D

Franklin's demise: "Did someone say items?"

  • I don't want to ruin the fun. But…

I heard that upgraded items are not going to be saved in your inventory.

Oh yeah it's on the perk: - "The upgraded Rarity is not kept at the end of the Trial."

  • As much as I like vampires…

I don't really like how he looks, very "classicy"… And his animations were kind of jacked on ptb.

If he gets a good skin… Pretty much yes.

Gameplay wise… I'm not sure if I like him.

  • @RubixxCube said:

Hex: Ruin is the healthiest regression until it got nerfed.

Ooooof, I would argue with that actually.

I remember how it use to be, but I hate the random aspect of hexes in this game tbh. I can't remember how many times my hexes were cleansed at the beginning of the match, and at the same time in the next match they couldn't find it or didn't care so it was up till the end, and the perk itself was very boring to use, and so strong and "braindead" it actually felt like cheating.

"All or nothing" perk based on where it was placed - I don't like this at all.

I think if player can't control some aspects and only hoping for a good rng besides map rng - it's not healthy at all.

  • Well, right now - I think without any gen perks from both sides, the game will be a "tunnel simulator" based on how fast survivors can do gens, if they are actually doing them (against a decent team). We can try it in custom match tho, but I think the current gen speed is not optimized for killers not having any regression.

I think even if they remove all gen perks - they will need to drastically increase gen time and make it more punishing for killers to tunnel.

  • @ChuckingWong said:

Why is this a hot take?

On my solo q matches I see people in end-game chat blaming and making fun of killers using these 2 perks.

Perhaps… People now think it's lame to run these 2 perks at the same time.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

You have to keep in mind that Killers like Vecna and Dracula are also more complicated to play. They are overall more complex. And therefore, I think it is fine when they are stronger than older Killers.

I mean, compare Vecna to Wraith. Vecna has four different abilities he can use, and all of them on a quite lengthy Cooldown, so you have to manage them a bit. Wraith on the other hand does "Bing Bong" and gets a Hit.

That over the games lifespan Killers become more complex is normal I guess, since they have to come up with ideas which feel different from other Killers. E.g. Unknown uses their projectiles with a bounce, since direct Hits would basically just be Huntress.

And overall, I think it is a good thing that the more simple Killers are a bit weaker than the complex ones.

    That is totally fair.

Killers becoming more complex is pretty normal indeed, it's the new ideas. But I still have this feeling that killers like these 2 may just drain the old ones (more simple ones) in sheer powercreep.

I'm not going to overexaggerate by saying: "Oh, nobody is gonna play old killers then", but we probably will see less of them. Just guessing tho.

And even if so… How can they fix that? Reworking all older killers is just going to take years of work. Buffing them also not going to work, I think?

Fixing an issue of powercreep may only be in nerfs of Vecna and Dracula… Which I don't want to happen tbh, and many other players who likes to play them too.

  • It's hard to say… Probably impossible to guess.

Higher mmr - more tunneling probably.

Casual player on a killer - less tunneling. Maybe even no tunneling at all.

Each individual killer player playing the game how they feel like - if they're not in the mood, they might tunnel, next match they don't.

  • I do mind 20m q times.

I couldn't play the game at all, when your match is 10m and q time is 20m - it's something you can describe as a "dead game".

I can't even tell was this gamemode fun or not, since I couldn't even try it out.

Edit: btw the same q times were in regular game as well due to 2v8… So unless q-times will be somewhat normal - I don't really want 2v8 back.

  • Xeno just objectively can't be weak.

Quick map traversal with the ability to spot survivors without any perks or addons.

A pretty good anti-loop power, helps at pallets and windows if you use it correctly.

    Not really hard to play.

People just find xeno frustrating with missed tail attacks, and flame turrets. But in reality… Flame turrets are doing nothing but slowing you down per hit, in most of cases it's not enough to even slow you down.

Missing your tail attack is pretty punishable, probably the main reason. But it's on people… Right? People should aim better…

  • If I can be honest - if it wasn't for a q-times being 10+minutes, I wasn't been able to play the game at all.

  • The best feeling when your dream collab is already happened… Alien intensifies :O

Tho I want to see the "best friend" of Xeno - Predator.

  • @Ricardo170373 said:

U are dreaming? For me is absolute boring to play SoloQ right now, miserable to play. Every match as Soloq i play agaisnt a most boring killer man, playing like a crazy, tuneling with 5 gens up and my teammates cant loop more than 10 seconds. Its impossible to play solo survivor right now

Man I don't know. Yesterday I was having a blast playing dbd, I don't think I EVER had a better experience with the game by playing soloq gameplay wise.

Yeah, it might be something like a "Honey moon come back" coz I've had a really long break, maybe the game is still the same and I was just lucky, but players from yesterday just completely made me wanna play soloq again.

I'm not a hard-core competitor, I'm just your average "casual Andy" playing the game for fun and enjoy chases.

Maybe you are stuck on way higher mmr?

  • Thank you for answers guys!

Just a shame that exactly yesterday I just got excited to come back and play the game and I couldn't find a match because of the event. -_- At least my excitement haven't fade away, I will wait until this event will end.

    @NekoGamerX said:

yeah people want this mode to stay in the game might as well be a dead game at this point..

Really? No shot. I don't like that this 2v8 is highly restricted in terms of characters. I would've try it, but I don't want to wait for so long, not worth it (to me).

Thank you again guys! Cya, have a nice evening\day!

  • @OnryosTapeRentals said:

Not dead, the playerbase is just split between two separate modes currently, which is wreaking havoc on queue times. Frankly, the wait times for anything other than 2v8 survivor are totally unacceptable and they should end the event early IMO.

    Can they do that?

I've seen it said "5d on 2v8 event". Is it gonna go away after 5d?

Besides, they (Developers) should've thought of that before implementing it. Such q times just actually making the game unplayable, it's just way too long, I'm not even sure that my actual match is gonna be longer.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Not many Survivors want to play the 2v8-mode. However, it has 400% incentive and while this incentive is not enough to make queues for Killers faster in this mode, it is enough to pull some Survivors from the 1v4-mode so that the queues for Killers are also long there.

Welp, I guess my plans on playing dbd were canceled. Great.

Going back to my previous activities… I'm not willing to sit in q for more than 10m, we have TCM for it.

  • Xeno's M2 works fine.

You and Otz refering to survivor's hitbox.

It was like that pretty much all the time, look at Huntress hatchets, Nemesis whip and etc.

The problem within the survivor's hitbox.

  • @Rizzo said:

I am not sure if you can do exceptions for specific sections for jailed users, however keep in mind you can always use the Support website if you are not able to report a bug through the forums, using the chat bot at the bottom of the page.

Thank you, I completely forgot about that.

Tho I must say. This might take a while working with chat bot. I only used to report cheaters through it. It takes 2x more time from player, it may stop the player from reporting at all.

  • @Steakdabait said:

    You missunderstood me.

I'm talking about Bug reporting. Not reporting players.

You can't post on this section while you are "jailed". I think it's not ok. At least this section should be free to use to do it's purpose.

  • Personally I don't use them anymore, because I've had multiple matches when 3 of my totems were cleansed within 20sec into the match.

A complete random mechanic is not something that I adore too much.

  • With how much stealthier survivors are playing, without aura reading, killers will end up in a 80% of the match searching for survivors.

As for survivors... I don't think they are should have any perks that reveals the killer's aura. They already have a TR (Terror Radius) both music and visual.

  • For David I like his total black outfit.

As for Xeno I'm hardly struggling to chose between Xeno Queen, Grid, and OG Xeno.

As for Hag... I think this one might be my new favorite outfit for her when it will be released: 14 of December.

  • @Pulsar said:

    Not really, honestly.

The VAST majority of SWF's are just as bad as Solo Q, you just have a better time because your with friends.

The ones that exploit it to its fullest potential? They could likely win even as four solo's. I see that as more of a matchmaking issue

I don't agree with the last sentence.

If you take away the Discord from SWF, they will probably struggle against certain killers as I mentioned above (Hag, Trapper, Singu, etc...)

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

It is not an illusion. It is bad Killer players thinking they lose due to SWF and not because of their own mistakes.

Does not help that there are certain very vocal streamers at giga MMR and in the sweatiest region who advocate this opinion.

It's a known fact that communication such as "Discord or skype or whatever" is a key component for survivor's success.

You can clearly see how SWFs can deal much easier with certain killers like Hag, Singularity or Trapper, Pinhead or even Xeno.

Calling out the trapped areas, emp-ing friends mid-chase, the box, calling out the places with double turrets.

Saying that SWF and soloq are on the same "level" is so wrong in many different ways.

  • Way too strong for M1 killers. (low tier killers) Communication are totally obliterates some killers's powers.

    Thats all.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

It can be really tricky depending on how savvy the cheater is. Most cheaters are just script kiddies and it's really easy to issue a HWID ban. Others can make it difficult to actually report the correct account. The profile that comes up on Steam is not necessarily the account they're playing on. Sometimes it actually takes an investigation to ban.

I'm not gonna lie, that is the LONGEST time I've waited for a support team to answer me at least anything, in any other games.

Usually in other games I was waiting 10 hours --- 3 days.

A simple: "We are investigating your request." - Will be enough for me. For real.

Right now I feel like they are ignoring the request, or simply just threw it into the trash can.

As I was saying: Either way - not good. Takes way too long without any answer. Awful customer service!

Looping being replaced by pre-dropping and holding W is extremely sad to see, not to mention unbearably boring to experience.

The worst part is that they are doing so against whatever the killer they are facing. It doesn't matter if the killer have anti-loop or not.

They just refuse to loop. I'm not going to be surprised if Devs are actually gonna reduce the ammount of pallets on the maps to deal with that, if it will become a big problem. (It can tho, I personally don't enjoy such games at all, they are very boring)

I don't believe Chests can be killswitched with the current system. The only things the devs can do is prevent certain perks/items/addons/offerings from being brought into trial (and doesn't work without a game refresh which DBD doens't enforce) and the chance to roll a map.

I also don't see Nostromo getting disabled, because IIRC it's a guaranteed purple item not a guaranteed flashlight.

Well, if not chests... They can simply decrease a chance % for flashlights to 0 for a "killswitch period".
