Sadly getting new account for a cheater takes less time than reporting them
It's sad how I don't even have a snide remark for that one because it's just tragically true.

Outfits obviously. And DBDM as an entire game.
Now DBDMobile I can get behind, but I believe that was only for the Mobile version? I didn't think NetEase had much sway over DBDMain?
Also, how are outfits P2W? Unless it's a game of "who looks the best" in which case understandable, or a game of "I'm being sarcastic" in which case I'm sorry.

Report the player in-game, head to their support page and file a ticket under "Additional Player Report Information", uploading your video to a video sharing site like YouTube and pasting the link in the "Description of Issue" box. Fill in all necessary details, and use the username of the player if they do not have a Steam64 ID (ie. they are not on Steam).

You also forgot to mention that they collaborate with NetEase since 2020. This is the year when the quality of the game went down and more P2W was added to the game. Guess what? This is actually exactly what NetEase is known for. They are ripping off their customers (far beyond from good and evil) and then shutdown games. There’s at least one person from them on the board as well who has some value. And now this pest is in this game too.
Where is the P2W in dbd?
-
Yes, you can disable crows with a flashlight. The score event is even "Crow Burn".

While I like the idea of unique interactions between Killer powers and Survivor items, the idea was obviously discontinued.
Lightburn doesn't really hurt Nurse at all (except for baby Nurse's and they don't need another thing to worry about) and it really does hurt Wraith.
So while I don't actively advocate for its removal, I do think it's an outdated mechanic from when the game was more hide-and-seek.
Was it obviously discontinued, when you can Lightburn Artist's power?

I just answered the question of "who has said this".
And I said that they aren't indicative of every survivor, so your post that exists solely for the sake of making us vs them drama is just... Here.
The forums have unironically said that no mither is op, does this suddenly mean every killer player thinks that? No, because people aren't that much of a hivemind.
Loud minority, quiet majority. Those with the most discontent have the most to say.
-
Because they are indicative of every survivor
-
Play on pc so I can harass you to swf with me one day 🧍
-
Where the ######### has anyone said this
-
I don't think so.
One is bad because it massively stomps solo queue and doesn't give you help vs the teams you should theoretically need it on. It's problems are a product of the game's fundamental design issues from day one.
One is bad because it's batshit OP and desperately needs to be nuked from low-earth orbit, irrespective of design issues from day one.
I don't think they're the same at all.
-
BHVR isn't just a game development company, but also a publishing company. There goes some of the staff.
In the game development segment, they work on their own original content outside of DBD (confirmed through job listings a while ago), and they outsource a lot of other work. There goes about half the staff if not more.
Of the remaining ~425, being generous here, there's also janitorial staff and catering staff, since they hire chefs to make hot meals for their employees whenever they're in-office (confirmed from their website and sources talking about their time being employed). There goes another 30-50.
So that leaves about 350 people to work on DBD, and that's with me being generous with my guessing.
Of those 350 people, a lot work on new content. The design team needs to create powers and perks, the art team need to make concept art and then model it in game, the programmers need to code them into the game, etc. Not to mention half of that number works exclusively on The Realm Beyond content- or has done for a while, anyway; with the release of RPD and Eyerie I'm not sure if they work exclusively on it anymore. So we have about 100 people left, and we still need to split the work into legal, marketing, and then the balance team and design team for older content (like reworks) - there really aren't that many because of how the company is structured.
I've said it before and I'll say it again- BHVR is an example of how a company should be run. Employees are salaried rather than on wages, crunch and overtime in general isn't mandatory, and they've been consistently rated as one of the best employers to work for in Canada full stop, not just one of the best game studios to work for.
Unfortunately, a decade of studios with mandatory crunch, terrible working conditions, and overall labour exploitation has lead us (the consumers) to expect a much higher product than is reasonably possible with this amount of x-inefficiency in a company.
BHVR makes their employees live comfortably, and in return the product suffers in quality.
(this isn't me trying to kiss the devs' ass, because good god does something need to change and they need to kick themselves into high gear at some point, but that's an overall explanation as to why "850 employees" isn't as big as you'd think)
-
In order to be iconic, one must look iconic.
And as a killer, I am as iconic as they come.
-
as far as i am aware, "not participating in normal gameplay" consists of but is not limited to:
-Stealthing for an unreasonable amount of time without attempting generator repairs (seems like what Meg was doing)
-Refusing to injure survivors in any way
-Intentionally teaming with the opposite side for a competitive advantage
-Botting
-Lagswitching
-Intentionally causing a verified hostage situation
-
the game is sided to whatever best fits your agenda

Pyramid Head:
This entire forum post
@GoodBoyKaru said:
So a few attentive people may recognise this from a comment I made yesterday (technically it was 24 minutes into today but let's not talk semantics). A couple of people suggested I make it a real post because "That's an excellent guide, very well put together." So, here I am. I've added a few more things so it's still worth a read.
This will cover what is, in my opinion, his best build and why, as well as a few tips on playing him & a few videos.
So hey, it's me- GoodBoyKaru, your friendly neighbourhood Pyramid Head main- here to give some swift Tips and Tricks(tm) to help make you a better Pyramid Head player!
For the record, this was made during DBD Patch 4.7.2
Build
PERKS
My personal favourite and imho strongest build is this:
- Corrupt Intervention
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/5A01IV8RME2M/image.png
Crucial early-game slowdown on a killer without mobility, allows him to stall the game massively because survivors know that if they get found they're doomed.
- Pop Goes The Weasel
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/FHA7ZFNAKVZY/image.png
It's the second best gen regression perk in the game, Ruin is too volatile to be anywhere near reliable on him because, again, no movement speed, he needs gen perks because he cannot move around the map quick enough, 11/10. "But you don't hook pe-" WRONG. You should be getting plenty of value out of PGTW and if you're overcaging then you're taking your map pressure and throwing it out the window.
- Barbeque and Chili
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/SC8THLXSY3RP/image.png
Now, you could obviously put other perks here like Infectious Fright (amazing snowball), Tinkerer (Undetectable is nice and it helps tell you where to go but again no movement speed) or Discordance (amazing info, can sometimes do nothing about it). However I say BBQ because I like the perk and also because bloodpoints.
- I'm All Ears
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/V90CSL0I44NO/image.png
Hands down the best perk in the game for Pyramid Head, that's six seconds of wallhacks. I cannot stress how valuable this is with his power- that is a guaranteed free hit in 9/10 situations. To show what I mean, I've linked a timestamped video below of where IAE comes in so clutch- continues to 5:16 in the video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJs4rvkppqs&t=296s
(you can watch the whole thing if you really want I'm proud of the game).
An honourable mention here goes to Ruin/Undying over Pop/Corrupt. As I've mentioned before, Tinkerer isn't a great perk on him due to his lack of speed, but the same goes for Ruin/Undying. You don't have the map mobility to defend your totems, especially if they spawn further away, and you'll probably end up losing two perks before 2 gens go. Corrupt/Pop is just more consistent in my experience.
ADD-ONS
So, his add-ons aren't great. The best ones, by far, are range add-ons which, when combined, extend his POTD by up to 2.5m (10.5m total). These are Burning Man Painting (Rare), Wax Doll (Uncommon), and Black Strap (Common), which ass +1.5m, +1m, and +0.5m respectively.
tips
Okay so rule number one is to not break pallets. Sounds weird but, just trust me.
His power is incredibly strong in a chase- so much so that if a survivor commits to an animation they die. If you don't break pallets (with some exceptions like God pallets) you can do amazing things. Because who doesn't want more opportunities to win a chase, like, instantly? It turns incredibly safe pallets into death sentences
To show what I mean, here's another timestamped clip. Ends at 10:58
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gu3X5o9GpjY&t=646s
Learn the range of the power. 8m is specific and sometimes you think you can hit things and you can't. You need to be very careful, especially when playing with range add-ons for so long, because it can and will screw with your perception.
Adapt to the survivors you're facing. A lot of players will fake taking an animation, go to the side slightly to bait your POTD or your cancel, and then commit to the animation. If you turn to the side and release, you'll catch a lot of these survivors out and get a hit. It's really satisfying to do. Alternatively some survivors will commit to the animations regardless, in which case you'll know to aim in the centre. Other survivors will just hold W and pre-drop pallets, in which case you know to leave them because you'll really struggle catching up, or do not use your power.
I cannot stress that enough. If a survivor is pre-dropping W key gaming, do not use your power. M1 killer them.
Don't overcage and don't stress about torment. If a survivor loops you, they'll get tormented. That's just kinda how it works- you stick your knife in, follow them around a loop, and release your POTD after tracking their movements.
To see what I mean we return to the first video, again timestamped. Clip ends at 1:36.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJs4rvkppqs&t=83s
See how I hug the car, turn the camera and use the power to hit him out of animation lock? Had he kept running, easy torment too.
In my opinion, only cage someone in one of four scenarios:
- You're afraid of a DS (just please don't tunnel I'm begging you)
- You're afraid of an Unbreakable (much more likely)
- You can immidiately get into another chase
- It would place you into a Pressure Point Of No Return (name pending).
What I mean by that last point is that there comes a time in a DBD game where the killer will hit a Pressure Point Of No Return, where the survivors physically cannot come back from the amount of pressure and momentum you're building. The best example of this as Pyramid Head is where you split the map through cages. You have two downed survivors. Cage one, hook the other. Nobody is on a generator, you have a BBQ proc to interrupt the person saving the cage or the hook, and now the last person must save both people. On especially large maps, like Mother's Dwelling, or multi-storied ones, like Midwich, this can force people into second stage and you've won the game at 5 gens. It's more common than you'd think.
If you cage at other times you're probably wasting pressure you could've gotten from a hook.
Learn where you can and can't lay trails. In front of totems and lockers? Amazing. In front of a gen? Not at all, it becomes a Restricted Trail Element and disappears after a few seconds. The DBD Wiki has a section on this which I'll just paste below.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/2808XTGCLSHV/image.png
I'd highly, highly suggest reading the wiki page on his power as it's really useful in understanding the fundamentals and giving actual values to words. Here it is:
https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Pyramid_Head
Finally, learn where you can and can't use POTD. It sounds like a simple thing but learning where you can and can't use it, however there's a lot to it. For example, learning how vertical changes affect it. Did you know if you release his power on a slope going up it'll fail, same with releasing it on a slope going down. However, if you're barely off of the slope it'll travel down it, but only if it isn't too steep.
It's nuts but knowing where you can and can't actually have an ability is, funnily enough, pretty important.
A few more quick-fire tips:
- Don't just go for animation lock shots. People expect these and adapt. Be unpredictable to catch them off guard and get easy hits. Like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0U1k10I-zG4&feature=emb_logo
Bet they didn't expect that one :p
Needless to say that was where I hit a Pressure Point Of No Return and poor Jakey couldn't pick up the scraps.
- Don't spam his power. You waste too much time. Be precise, predict, and adapt to your opponents.
- Don't spam his trails. You move at 110% and you already lack a movement ability, you waste too much time.
- Tunneling isn't the best strategy. I know it seems like it because cages but again, you do not have a movement ability. Survivors can and will facefuck generators and ruin your day substantially.
- Dead Dawg Saloon and Hawkins are both maps you never press M2 on ever. Play like a default M1 killer because the map design prevents you from using your power. They're pretty much auto-loss maps, ngl, unless the survivors really badly mess up.
- Play survivor. Learn where survivors move and how they path, shoot POTD to hit them. That's what I did in that last clip.
And, yeah, that's about it. If people have any questions please let me know and I'll try to answer them as best I can, though I think this is comprehensive enough.
-
you can just... look at their slugged bar? you know that right? once a quater has gone their ds is dead since its a 4 minute timer with a 1 minute ds.
no need to invest in any tech- like if you have it, thats great and use it- but if you dont then theres a nifty work around

I disagree.
They mentioned the possibility of a new game mode without outright rejecting it, which is the most they've ever done for new game modes. That's huge. It does nothing for anybody right now, but the fact that they're even willing to entertain the notion is the first babystep towards making this game deeper than "sit on gen, leave through gate."
honestly yes- this. theres a big difference between "not right now" and "we're considering it"- and there were a lot more of the latter there. i appreciate they cant talk about much, and the questions the community wants answered are the ones which they cant talk about, but hearing "we're considering it" (or with the DS/BT basekit thing, only saying DS will not be basekit) actually means a lot more than people think
even if nothing comes from it, the fact theyre considering a lot of things which they previously werent is a big step forward.

Using Nurse as a justification for more stats is pretty weak, since she is the only Killer who is very different from all other Killers.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2764459#Comment_2764459
Even if you include all of this, people would still find reasons to see why the stats are not true.
With the current stats we have, you can at least see that playing Killer is not as bad as people claim it to be.
theoretically, twins are as well. from the stream, we know theyre garbage at low/mid and "absolute monsters" at high
i dont particularly care either way- i wish theyd stop giving us stats so people stop making flawed conclusions from them, honestly- but itd be kinda nifty just to see if there was a difference.

I have played Dbd for years, through ups and downs. Took many breaks, at times the game was in a horrible state (bug wise). What made me return after each time was hope. The core gameplay of Dbd is really simple but good, surely the people responsible for making this great game would eventually move it in a good direction for the playerbase ( writing as a long time player).
There is the huge hacking problem, we are working on it but we wont tell you, because hackers could use that for their advantage, doesn't cut it. (its not like the dbd hackers are some geniuses that need to be outsmarted, there are guys that read simple tutorials where they change some numbers in the gamefiles, like the stretched res guys do, to gain for example a wallhack with certain perks, or more movespeed etc, dbd s anticheat is a joke)
A lot of their redesigned maps are beyond good and evil, cornfield you can chain strong tiles into each other until all gens are done, rpd - who thought it was a good idea and fun to play in a maze, haddonfield, springfield etc etc.
Everyone and their dog knows that going for split pressure, getting many hooks is a more interesting playstyle, more fun for survivors , rather than tunneling, and (proxy) camping hooks.
Yet the devs make a skill based matchmaking system that rewards players for getting kills rather than hooks for example. In the eyes of the devs, a killer that facecamps the first down and then finishes off the second guy with noed after all gens are done and facecamps him, which takes 0 skill, is more skillful than a killer , that trys to enjoy the game and wants the survivor to have a good experience too, that goes for splitpressure, gets many downs and hooks, but maybe gets 1k or even 0.
They make a extremely strong perk, boon coh, that lets survivors heal in 8 seconds, forcing killers to commit to chases instead of going for single hits and split pressure.
After this Q&A there is no hope left, its a pity because the core gameplay of Dbd is great.
Still it was a good time, not regretting anything.
There is the huge hacking problem, we are working on it but we wont tell you, because hackers could use that for their advantage, doesn't cut it. This actually isn't strictly true; actual script kiddies do this, yes, but they only purchase the hacks off of those who actually create them. In order to create a bypass for EAC it takes at least some technical knowledge that has to be outsmarted- which is why everyone charges for them instead of making them free like that one guy did back in 2.1.0.
-
We're getting a new system that would hopefully fix it permanently, and while I don't trust them on it I have a small amount of hope.
What I would, personally, do is to reduce the cost of everything related to how much you have unlocked. The more teachable perks you have, the cheaper everything is to purchase, rewarding people to perk variety and helping the grind massively. This could also scale with the game exponentially, until of course there's so many perks things become free, but that probably wouldn't happen for a while.

Then why not just end the game when all gens are completed?
because its entirely possible to snowball when the game hits 0 gens but the gates aren't open, and even if you can't kill everyone you can useless secure one or two out of desperation and them getting cocky.
the game hasnt ended until every survivor is no longer in the trial, either through escaping or dying. the egc, under normal gameplay, forces the game to end one way or another, and therefore it does it's job flawlessly.

Please, Karu, you're making hard to play Devil's Advocate when you deconstruct my arguments with well-measured responses like that!
Empathy is disgustingly good for seeing fellow survivors in chase (and other places), and Windows and Any Means occasionally serve this function as well their intended purposes. Better Together is another perk that shows when you can work on a gen with someone (though it shares an indicator with some other perks, to be fair).
In your favor, there aren't exactly perks to see when survivors are in a gate or on bones, unless you count Bond, Aftercare, or Blood Pact. Which I will, because
I canI should be fair, if unreasonable,in my assessment. And the flaw with each and every one of these? They're perks. Which must be ran by solo survivors, who lack any form of build coordination if they are not all on the same platform (ie. PC, Xbox, PS4), lack it completely if on Switch as there's no way to message there full stop, and prevent them from using other perks.
SWF get the benefits of all of those perks, and more (like Small Game's totem counter) for free. The only expense they must give is some oxygen to say "Oh yeah killer's on me, shack is gone." So, if anything you're further supporting my argument by listing more perks that give benefits SWF get for free, which is just all the more reason to buff solos and superbuff killers.
