  • And yet again, another nerf for the survivors and a huge buff for the killers. Like literally, what’s going on the developers mind by applying such questionable changes.

The point of BP was to move from a far distance close to a survivor and get into huge trouble but giving a second chance to the downed survivor requiring one of the survivors to stop their current task. The perk procs whenever a survivor is picked up. Now you’ve turned BP into a more restricted version of Sprint Burst, so basically you nerfed a helpful but not too overpowered perk into an useless perk. Now it’s impossible to reach the location in time.

Regardless of the decreased cooldown, it just makes no sense you literally expect survivors to be downed within 20sec. Idk what to comment. I’m simply shocked and disappointed.

    Just why…

    Yikes. -.-

As a solo queuing player it’s already more then hard enough playing this game and just because you may have a few bad games it doesn’t justify that perks overall has to be changed. I highly suggest you to improve your gaming experience and style instead of taking any perks which just gives survivors the chance to eventually survive a match. All what you are causing is just making survivors experience worse and make them lose their gaming fun. As a killer you are not supposed to win every match. Stop being an egoistic player.

Thanks for being part of the community who prefers to ruin the remaining gaming experience for survivors.

I hope you’ll enjoy a dead queue soon.

    Thanks!

  • Can you please just fix Wesker? Wesker is not intended to abuse the environment because his model becomes smaller when he charges up a viral bound which leads to the craziest charges what you can imagine. There’s simply hits which never should connect due to the intended range of his viral bound charge. Abusing this by aiming pretty close to two different tiles pretty close together increases the charge drastically and makes Wesker possible to land impossible hits, like drift hits or super long hits. This indeed ruins the fun to play against Wesker. Idk if you, the developer sleeps deeply or if you just don’t care about survivors anymore. But whatsoever, this leads to a horrible and unfair game play disadvantage for survivors.

It’s mainly just regression to the mean. Keep in mind DbD is 6 years old at this point, I think it might still be the most played game on the charts from that year? (Stardew Valley and Dark Souls III are like 20-30k players average, DbD is 40k). DbD’s numbers go up when new dlc releases then retract toward that mean of around 40k currently.

So it’s still doing extremely well for a 6 year old game.

That's true. Still tho there's some problem which has to be faced in order to provide a premium game.

Nope. DS should not be usable during the last leg of the game IMO, but I think buffing it as compensation if they remove that is fine.

I think different here. Quite so often I've noticed tunnelling and camping at the end game as well. Killers should not be rewarded by one of the less possibilities to help survivors to screw them even more over.

This game got out of control with ddos, cheaters, exploiters and just people that only play to ruin others day.

No wonder it's dying, it has easily the most pathetic community i ever seen in pvp games.

Also the gameplay is extremely repetitive and somehow people still defend it saying facing 5 Blights in a row is fun..so weird

Most of the PvP games have toxic communities unfortunately. Once there was a game for mobile which is called "Order & Chaos II: Redemption". Even after years, I've a crazy russian guy who is stalking me and tries to insult me lol. He is just not getting over the point that he lost majority of the games. It is basically an ego problem. In DBD I completely see things different but unfortunately I belong to the minor part of the community who tries to enjoy the game and tries to be friendly in games but still trying to be competitive. Quite so often I noticed toxic tea baggers as killer even tho when I played fair and also face camping and tunnelling killers, which we know is a tactic but I consider it as toxic cause it just proves me that you suck, if it is for no reason. If a killer failed on its job then so be it. Just admit it that the game wasn't that great instead of ruining the experience of a player but whatsoever. I understand the psychological pressure.

Whilst i 100% agree with your points i do think there are some ideas and thought that might clairify dbds current issues.

People often complain about efforts dedicated to cosmetics which isnt fair most of the time since its often different teams. However when your game has done so little to add new game modes, slow crawls to fix killlers who have been horribly neutered by bad game design decisions or adjust the trial experiance to encourage a meta shift.

There is serious killer bloat in terms of playable killers and rather then slow down and improve there existing rooster focus is primarily on aquiring more licenses and making more killers. They have the revenue stream from skins and a large number of killers with cool skins that are largely unappealing because the gameplay design is underpowered. Look at clown and slinger for the myriad of cool skins that wont or sell less because playing that particular killer isn't fun.

Rather then making there power accessible or adding nuances to there design we get nerfs to encourage playing there new killer which losses them players overall since losing your main to be replaced by a killer you have zero interest in is a loss of playerbase. No the majority of slinger and clown players arent going to switch over to a k pop diva or a inky crow lady.

This game desperatly needs comeback mechanics for both roles anytime you are on the path to losing for a prolonged period of time is bad game design. Adding baseline comeback mechanics (not entity damned perks). This could be with increased healing repair speed whilst down survivour players that increase with each dead survivor or a mori usable upon hooking all 4 unique survivors. (This also discourages tunneling and camping).

Dbd swings to hard and has a clear victor way earlier then it should. It needs to respond immediatly to killer and survivor perk changes so there not left to rot. Producing more perks and killers that create further imbalances is only making the games balance issues worse.

Yea I absolutely agree with your words. I'm working in night shift for an one week period "work" and "work off". I was absolutely certain to play the game once I've work off. And what did I do actually? Not rly playing the game cause I don't see a point rn. There's so much stuff which needs to be fixed. Cheaters are a minor problem imho, cause they just put pressure on the developers in order to fix their game. I personally recognised it as some kind of a "protest" for the bad development, after I've watched some certain videos on YouTube. I mean I personally don't tolerate it, but I'm just pointing it out, that ppl are super annoyed at all. BHVR has to change something on the game to make it much more attractive for us gamers giving us reasons to keep playing it and keep returning to the game, but apparently they are not listening to our ideas and criticism, instead some guys are getting punished for stating their fair oppinion (removing cosmetics, banning in discord or forum or whatsoever). I rly liked the game for the most part, but I start to not like it anymore after BHVR reacted so drastically and not helpful. As a concern I'm interested on keeping as many customers as possible and taking as much free advertisment as I can. I also would try to listen to my big community and try to understand where's the main problems which needs to be fixed. But apparently that's not the case........ 😐️

  • @TAG said:

Make it non-functional once the last gen is finished and I'd be fine with it. I'd even support buffing it from there.

I hope you are joking, cause if so, that rly is a bad joke.

  • DS is absolutely fine. It’s not giving as much value anymore as it was supposed to give and as an anti tunnel perk it absolutely serves it purpose. If you become greedy, then this is not considered as an argument for a nerf of a perk.

  • Still didn’t get any shards either. :)

  • @sulaiman said:

    whats dms?

  • There’s a few reasons why the game is going down the hill. I’m super glad, that Patrick and his fashion team has great ideas for nice cosmetics. But what about a new mode? There’s many possible ways: Practice Mode with bots (I don’t talk about the tutorial) - so you could learn maps and learn how to use perks more confident as in real matches, just to name one for right now.

Steam is one of the available platforms but for sure it’s the biggest and most important one. We don’t know numbers but I’m convinced tho.

Patricks match making system is simply too frustrating for new players, cause let’s say you get a 4K as killer. Bam, you match against players with a few k hours. That’s not as it is supposed to be.

Tunnelling and facecamping is a tactic, which is ok tho. But the system should detect pure face camping by the fact that the killer simply hasn’t moved much. And therefore you should be punished somehow, like get 0 BP and get a dc penalty or something similar. I agree on tunnelling, can be super helpful sometimes.

However, since Patrick is negating any critic and not taking ideas how to better up the current situation, the game is doomed.

Also one important point is, that NetEase is also in Behaviour Inc. for a while. I know this company from a different game and all what they care is your money for as less effort as possible. I know they are supposed to be relevant for DBDM, but we don’t know if it’s just like that.

    So don’t get fooled. :)

Wow so much for BHVR not wanting to give hackers 'advanced notice" when they still end up bypassing it in less than a week.

I'm just grateful to not be a streamer amidst this surge of hacking. Tru3 has a literal hacker STALKER atm

Yea, I watched a video on YouTube from a DBD streamer, who had a conversation with a hacker. In that video they’ve put up a list of known streamers and players. This list is used for stream sniping and holding hostage in game. And this tbh is super unfair. But as much as frustrating this is, BHVR hasn’t shown up with a patch to fix major vulnerabilities. It just seems like it’s a minor problem which gets patched every now and then but never fixed entirely.

I rly would be annoyed if I was CoconutRTS, Otz, TrueTalent and any other streamers.

  • @Zaxtor99 said:

I am reporting more hackers in DbD than ever the past month or so, and it seems to just continue to get worse and worse as time goes on.

Devs, you need to focus all your efforts on getting the hackers under control or they will end up being the DOOM of this game. I've seen this before with too many other online games. Hackers just completely ruin the game.

Lately it seems like I'm getting about one hacker every hour or two and that seems totally unacceptable to me.

To be honest, you are wasting your precious time while you do a report, because you might get an account banned for once, but creating another just takes a few bucks and a little bit of time. It rly is super sad that ppl needs to cheat and hack, but it is not your job to take care about even tho that you wanna improve the gaming experience which is my wish, too.

I recognised DBD being a mess nowadays and I absolutely don’t care anymore at this point, because the development team (or at least those who are showing their face to us) just did a petty good job so far!

I guess my friend was right when he said, that the game is not playable and fun anymore. :)

    Cheers.

Then how there are grasp escape happened multiple times before the buff?

Grasp save is an effort of the saver, who use sabo/breakout may be with MoM to save a single hook. Mind that a single hook save is very important, thats why flashlight & lightborn are strong on their own aspect.

You just can not put a single perk and have free grasp escape 2-3 times per match. The wiggle strength 75 to 100, aura remove from 10 to 16 is already a good buff (not great). Which I think adding extra stun time would be more than enough.

Says who? You? I guess you are not the game designer. Before this update, it was literally pointless to even attempt to wiggle cause in 99% of all cases and if your team mates don’t take 1k hits, you will not escape.

Now after this update, you’ve a fairer chance to escape if conditions are met. Conditions are: reaching 100% of wiggling bar; 25% is added if the killer is dropping from a height which just is realistically, doesn’t means automatically that you get free after every grasp. Ofc you could make it look like so op, that some ppl needs to run into the forum again and cry for it to get nerfed, but that’s not the point of this game. It’s just an underwhelming experience I’ve made so far from this community, not accepting that, if specific conditions are met, that a player can escape eventually or has any advantages. It’s not like killers already got a lot of advantages. You need to keep stomping more and more!

Guess that’s how it shouldn’t be!

  • @C3Tooth said:

Please remove 25% wiggle progress and replaced with +1 or 2sec stun if escape the grasp. It still requires survivors to put effort but reward for success

    This makes escaping impossible again.

    @Pulsar said:

Just tested it out on RPD.

Holy #########. You can actually take the game hostage for as long as you want. I have no idea how it got through the PTB.

I know that the Mods said they are continuing to monitor the situation, but it actually needs to be killswitched until they fix it.

It's not even like the perk is objectively good. It's only going to be used by bully squads and people wanting to take others hostage. Reminds me of the Sabo meta or the Dribble meta. I understand we all have varying views on how the game should be balanced, but I hope we can all agree that this perk is a huge issue in design and a glaring issue with the PTB process.

Bully Squad = not every squad. There’s regular players, just like me. Who likes having a possible chance to escape a killers grasp when once they’ve messed up. This perk doesn’t work on every map well. And I think you are just going a bit too far. You can just let players bleed out if you are afraid of it or dodge such SWFs. Some names are obvious but not every. It’s probably a map issue design.

And again on my next day, the crying starts over again. This community is really disappointing.

I just can't figure out why killers are so desperate for 4ks, are the devs giving away cash prices, when did this game become so toxic, can I get a normal game without killers playing like there lives depend on it

They don’t need to proxy camp, face camp or tunnel you. They just need to run into the forum and open a new topic about something what is too op which overwhelms their horizon. Done! That’s how to do it. xD

Not everyone has a very fast internet connection, keep that in mind, it might take 30 minutes for you, but for others it could take multiple hours, it's still a 36.5 GB patch.

This does not explain why the active number of players decreased after more time has been passed. Accordingly to that logic it should be more players online rn instead of less players being online, right?

You don't need monitoring to quickly understand the issue. Also, what are PTBs for if not for "monitoring"?

Concerningly less ppl as usually took part on the PTB. So there was probably not such a great monitoring as expected. But besides that, BHVR most likely ignored criticism and ideas anyways about PTBs.

  • Sure you can discuss as much as you want, I absolutely don’t care about this. But it’s getting super annoying to complain about everything and that’s exactly what’s going on here everyday, every time whenever I log on. Ppl “discuss” so much that they want everything nerfed to their favour. And that’s simply nothing else but complaining. ;)

There is so much discord and tribalistic behavior in this community and many discussions devolve into an us vs. them mud slinging contest. Whenever someone brings up their feelings for one perk, someone's counter argument invariably is "what about X perk?". The problem with NOED and COH are that they are simply poorly designed perks that give one side a huge advantage while completely changing the dynamic of the game. Once a boon goes up, you can forget about applying pressure and then patroling a gen and in order to get any return on investment you have to commit to downing the survivor. On the same token NOED is a laughably overpowerd tool that gives killers a huge unwarranted advantage in the final stage of the game.

The real issue at hand is not the inherent balancing of the perk but rather the fact that these perks are simply nauseatingly tedious to play against. BHVR can tell us that these perks are behaving as intended, but despite what a column on their excell spread sheet says the sheer volume of complaints is proof that they are annoying to play against. Unfortunately the infamous Q&A did more to stoke the flames of resentment than to mollify the concerns of the overwhelming majority of the fan base. The Devs either don't care about our feedback or at the very least do a poor job of explaining their rationale. I know its easy to give back seat advice to professional devs but the smug arrogance and the palpable condescension makes me want to play CIV.

Does this forum community really has nothing else to do but to cry, bash and complain on potentially imbalances in the game, just cause they are being such an issue to them that they cannot get rid off it? Like really, I’m reading here for a few days and all what happens in 80% of activity is exactly what I named above. This is even more sadistic and cruel as DBD itself. Yikes.

I wouldn't say P2W when we look at the killers that are the best. Nurse is free, Blight can be unlocked with Shards, Spirit is free on Switch and otherwise can be unlocked with shards, and Hag is free on consoles and otherwise can be unlocked with shards. David is free, as is Meg, and Jake, and Bill. The meta are all free or shard unlocks.

Perks you may have a case for, but again the best perks (ie. Ruin, Undying, Pop, Tinkerer, Pain Resonance) are also all on Shard characters- I think for killers BBQ is the only non-free-or-grindeable meta perk. For survivors, it's just really DS and COH that are locked, but again Mikaela is a shard unlock so it's just DS.

I really wouldn't say it's Pay 2 Win, when the best content can all be unlocked for free.

(though the grind really could do with being toned down)

Yea the grind is horrible. They’ve added the shards option - totally forgot that cause I always use auric cells. ^^

Still tho, considering that micro transactions exists makes it P2W. I personally don’t care to spend in the game, the prices are reasonable. On a pure NetEase game an outfit costs like 200€. I’m just a burned child of NetEase who got screwed after 3 yrs of playing and spending some k €s on that game. And so I just want to warn ppl cause of NetEase. :)

Works like pentimento, but you light a dull totem rather than a broken totem at any point in the match.

Start the match 2 minutes in there are 4 boon perks. You find the dull totem, light it, now half the map has a 50% heal and recovery speed, shows scratch marks for longer and reveals all auras.

Nerf boons without nerfing boons. Would be hilarious to watch the carnage ensue.

Stupid idea. A way to counter it would be a rework of Pentimento, being able to curse/revive a (destroyed) dull totem for one time. But then you gotta run around and find this dull totems if they are not broken, but you can still see auras of broken totems.

    Would be my idea tho.

Now DBDMobile I can get behind, but I believe that was only for the Mobile version? I didn't think NetEase had much sway over DBDMain?

Also, how are outfits P2W? Unless it's a game of "who looks the best" in which case understandable, or a game of "I'm being sarcastic" in which case I'm sorry.

Every DLC and Outfit is a P2W content. And yup, many person takes that serious about outfits or do you see a lot of standard skins playing this game? It’s just super sus that the game went down, after NetEase joined the party. :) Could be a fluke, or maybe even more.

  • Outfits obviously. And DBDM as an entire game.

This is actually exactly what NetEase is known for. They are ripping off their customers (far beyond from good and evil) and then shutdown games. There’s at least one person from them on the board as well who has some value. And now this pest is in this game too.

Ghostface = needs to stalk a victim to fully charge. Only works on the players stalked. Needs to repeat process every time.

but... Bubba? No pre-req. From the start of the match, in the very first chase against someone, with no need to stalk or slow down or watch you, he can just run right at you and start swinging his chainsaw to instadown everyone in his path. He can spam this all game long. He can even turn corners with it.

Combined with the face camping, he can deny an entire team attempting to save someone from a hook.

    But somehow Bubba is fair.

Oh, what a surprise. Another complain-n-cry-topic. yay

Bubba is ok as he is. A chainsaw means, you can down someone for an instant. Would you like to remove his chainsaw and instead give him a... mop or a toy-chainsaw? You also forgot to mention "The Hillbilly" which also owns a chainsaw and can insta down survivors. Yea, it might be unfair on some perspectives. But Bubba is easy to outplay. And if you get matched with a face camping Bubba and get caught as first person, then you are unlucky, no doubt, yup yup. But your team should rush gens then and get the f out of the match. There's not much to do against that. There's 2 kind of Bubbas. Face-camping Bubbas and Good Bubbas.

When will this tsunami of complains and tears finally stop? 😴

What is there to learn on this map? Almost every pallet is safe and uncounterable. There is no gameplay.

And how comes that killers can still compete against good survivor teams on this map when it is so "uncounterable"?

  • @Laluzi said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2768119#Comment_2768119

Your perspective? You immediately started calling everyone babies, crying, bad at the game, etc. That's not how you have an honest discussion. That's what I expect out of endgame chat.

Nemesis is easy mode on the Game. I enjoy seeing Jigsaw map offerings when I'm playing him because T2 just destroys the entire map. He's the best pallet buster in DBD. Plague has a rough early game but goes ham later on and can capitalize harder on the removed pallets more than pure M1 killers can - she catches up damn fast with Corrupt and can take out several people at once. While the Game is an indoor map, it's probably the least cumbersome for Corrupt Purge. Wide middle and all of the low walls work in her favor.

Wraith, though... Wraith depends on the survivors screwing up on this map. He was better before the lunge nerf, but now his antiloop element doesn't work and he doesn't threaten smart survivors into dropping pallets until they absolutely need to. If they'll drop pallets while he's cloaked, you're okay. Same if the survivors are lost, super altruistic, or just bad in general. Otherwise, I'm not buying your "I'm just really good at the game and you all need to get on my level" argument. A Wraith against competent survivors on the Game that greed pallets and prioritize gens is highkey screwed. Blocking the nearest pallet and going for the old hit and run at gens doesn't work with CoH.

I've had good games with Wraith on the Game, but it was never because I was a galaxy brain Wraith, it was because the survivors threw me enough bones to work with.

Huh? Did I call everyone a baby? Cannot remember that I clearly did tho. I just pointed the fact out, that as soon as something doesn't runs well, you (in definition as majority of the community) are immediately running into the forum. Have you ever tried anti looping builds on a killer? Cause it works like a charm on such maps. Check YouTube for Demis recent YouTube videos which actually showcases how to counter "The Game" as a killer to the survivors. But ofc, if ppl still keep running the usually standard stuff, its more then locigal that it is not working on every map by the same. Killers expect a win by default and that's the point. Nerf the s* out off everything so that survivors basically just need to stand still and make it even quicker for you cause you are refusing to do a decent gameplay and win your match as a killer which is your job. You are supposed to kill the survivors by just killing them on any means and so the survivors have the same opportunity to stop your target on any means necessary. It's not the point of a game to gift you a win. You have to fight on it on both sides.

  • @Laluzi said:

I would very much like to know how you put enough pressure and did correct micro decisions while playing against decent survivors on this map. Gameplay would be appreciated.

I can have good matches on the Game as killer, but they require me to either be playing a pallet buster or for survivors to drop pallets immediately instead of taking a few loops around them, and also for survivors to be inefficient on gens. Otherwise, there's an immediately safe place to run everywhere on the map, it's impossible to catch people out of position, and I can't properly chase anyone until I've gotten 10-15 pallets dropped and broken. If I'm playing good survivors on this map and I'm someone like Wraith or Pinhead, my only hope is that the survivors try to crowd around me for saves. Because if one person runs in circles around pallets while the other three do gens, and they rotate roles if I switch targets - by the time I turn the map into something I can have chases on, there's one gen left, if that. There is no mindgaming any of the pallets on the Game; they're either god pallets or they have full visibility. Skill is not a factor in handling such loops (unless you keep trying to switch directions and mindgame yourself.)

Also, your argument is bad because you immediately jumped to insults and strawmen instead of actually having a discussion about the situation.

If you feel insulted by my perspective and opinion then you are eventually a bit sensitive, but that's ok. I've had good matches as Nemesis, Plague and Wraith but I'm not recording matches cause no one watches it anyways, so why wasting my storage? :)

I'm tired of the point that ppl are got used to run into the forum and start a massive cry storm about something which they cannot get rid off by themselves due to the lack of their own experience. Whatsoever. Hankies are everywhere and for everyone. 😊

you know how to read? I'm talking about the map "The Game" and your argument is pathetic.

My argument is not pathetic. I'm lining up a point which is pathetic. Crying about something cause you lack the skill and knowledge about it. I have had good matches on this map as killer and as survivor. It's all about putting enough pressure and do correct micro decisions which puts you in advantageous position. If you fail on it, then it's not a reason for a nerf. It's more likely, improve your own gameplay and do better the next time.

If they wanted to play something easier, they'd just play survivor. Thats what I did :)

Yea this is what I do too most likely but I still have a lot of anniversary cakes left on some of my killers and since I'm in need of BPs, I don't have a choice but to play as killer. I basically don't complain, cause the unlocked perks are kinda useless or incompleted perk setups, so that makes everything harder as Myers tho lol. I don't have Pop, I don't have Undying but I've Ruin. My Corrupt is just Tier 1. Still tho, I manage to get between 2-4 kills every match; sometimes even just 1, but that's ok. I just want 4 unique hooks basically for full value of BBQ. I don't get why so many killers complain. Every match pops 2 CoHs; it's easy to get rid of them and I still manage to get kills. Most totem spawns are next to loops or hooks. So if you are in a chase and the survivor has dropped the pallet, just kill the boon and get back to the chase immediately.

  • @Gigante said:

Why is the game still the way it is? 200 million pallets at every turn, how is that fair to any killer? Why the hell did Behaviour come to the conclusion that it would be fair to both sides?

This map is ridiculous and depressing to try to loop, because the survivor just drops the pallet and runs half a meter and he already finds 10 more pallets to loop.

I wanted a logical reason why Behavior left it that way because it doesn't make any sense to have this absurd amount of pallets on a map.

Learn the game dude. Why don't you open a new topic and request a movement speed nerf during chases for the survivors so that your hits are not avoidable at all. This killer crying is getting ridicilous. Play something more easy if you have a problem with the mechanics and not willing to learn.

  • Remove it. The way how they maintain result from matches is ridiculously stupid. Patrick compares asymmetrical PvP with Ice Hockey. He can either just see the colours black or white, but not in between. And that’s not gonna help anyone. He completely failed.

  • WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY MISERABLE EXPERIENCE THIS GAME IS SOMETIMES

    sometimes?

I see a lot of threads about nerfing camping and giving solo queue more information so they are closer to swfs, but I rarely see what people are willing to give killers in return. I'd love to hear your ideas (with the exception of just buffing ghostface/legion - not trying to hear that at all lol).

A hanky for less tears eventually?

  • Crying at another level. Goob job killers who determined their life to eradicate every Survivor Perk what brings any function to their users. In your best case scenario, you just want survivors movement speed reduced by -100% once they are in a chase with you cause you are too sad of losing a single hit. I know that being Killer is definitely a hard role, but the effort you guys put into the forum for crying could've been used more efficent, f.i. try to improve your killer skills. :)

  • I don't know, really don't have any appropriate answer cause there's really no reason for me to keep playing the game.

My friends quit already, I don't know anyone else. Survivors are toxic if I play as killer against them and killers are toxic if I play as survivor against them. The game is stupid all over and over again. There's super stupid decision done and a super ignorant developer team who pretends to be customer friendly by pretending to listen to the community but absolutely not carrying about anything. There's tons of more reasons to name for me to not keep playing but literally no appropriate reason for me to keep playing.

Dead by Daylight Developer team disappoints me every time they put up a stream once more.

Just pretending to be interested, being ignorant and doing consistently stupid decisions. That would the answer for me, why I should quit for good.

There's a specific reason, why around 60k players has quit the game within in a half year on Steam only. The Matchmaking isn't working properly either cause there's not enough players left cause the Management scared them all away. I'm looking forward for VHS. 😊

Are people really this clueless? Tunnelling and camping have soared after the release of this stupid perk for a reason. Killers have nothing left because injuring and leaving a survivor is pure wasted time thanks to this abomination of a perk.

Pre COH- hit a survivor and peel off to hit someone on a gen next to you. That survivor now needs to use up their medkit or force someone off a gen to heal them giving the killer more time. During this time you as a killer have the opportunity to find that survivor out of position while injured giving you an easy down creating more pressure.

Post COH- You hit a survivor and peel off to hit someone on a gen next to you. That survivor runs to the edge of COH and heals... while the rest of the team churns away at the gens uninterrupted.

As fot your WAAA solo players argument. This perk has single handedly won me games in solo that we should not have. As long as SWF is in the game and the problems it causes are ignored, then you can't release perks that super buff them. Hell i even ask if anyone is using COH so i know if i need to bother running it or i can take some other second chance as survivor because you only need it to be run by a single person. (just don't play Mikaela because she will be hard tunnelled out to remove the boon)

Meeep. You are absolutely wrong. The amount of tunnelling and camping in this game was always that crazy but increased drastically with the release of the SBMM, because Killers & Survivors both wants to climb to Iridescent I asap. That's an experience report of asking 4 of my friends playing Dead by Daylight, including myself, none of them used CoH either. So, I guess this is just a speculation and nothing more but that. But indeed, it would be a smart tactic to tunnel out a player who brings CoH, which is ok, since BHVR confirmed it to be a legitimate tactic. Killers didn't do anything else but that when survivors brought a key either. The totem will be gone once the player is killed. That also was a hidden nerf, cause there was a phase which allowed the totem to stay alive even tho the responsible survivor died.

Cause the game is biased and no one wants to admit it on the dev team.

Obviously no creator would admit it, cause if you watch the Steam statistics, you can watch an estimate lose of 60k players within a half year and a gain of around 280 players. This makes in total around 40-50k active players on peak times rn. Also gotta admit, a huge problem is the cheater invasion and BHVR not giving players the option to report a player fast and quickly with evidence.

Sadly the asymmetric part of the game was the Killer was supposed to be the power role and the survivors were the weaker role. BHVR has somehow made the 4 survivors the power role and the Killer the weaker role.

That's actually wrong. At 1.0.0 and for a few game versions, Killers were really disadvantaged cause the game was fresh and everything was new, so things had to get settled up and balancing was changed over 6 yrs. But then over time until now, Killers were in majority in huge advantage until recent update, which now kinda makes it even.

You probably understood the meaning of "Asymmetric 4v1 PvP Game" wrong, because "Survivors" who are only strong together by cooperation, team play, tricking the killer and looping. While the Killer relies on strong perks, add ons, map design and most importantly their brain.

  • @Rizzo90 I don't care.

I'm tired of plebs who are selfish and wants to run the game in easy mode, while there's a way to have a balanced game. Guess I expressed that a bit too much.

Skill < Complaining is what's going on for years now.

Unfortunately most players don't understand the matter of game health. Developing is a hard process. Winning and losing isn't all what matters, unlike for some ppl who are sweating every single drop of water just to make sure that either the Killer/Survivors have an insane hard time. There's enough proof and evidence from YouTubers and Twitchers, that games are winnable for Killers even with Circle of Healing. Killers have enough possibilities to counter the Survivors. As a Killer you've to rely on yourself. As Survivors you've to rely on your entire team. If you are unable to beat a team, then probably you would've not been able to beat this team anyways and that's just a bad excuse to flag Circle of Healing for it.

Some people just want CoH to be gutted because they don't like it.

Yea but they've to deal with it. Survivors also have to deal with NOED and some other super annoying Perks and "special strategies" aka Tunnelling & Facecamping. And then on top, some ppl rly still cry about Circle of Healing. Some parts of this community are absolutely ridicilous.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2762712#Comment_2762712

Thats the point. Self healing should be limited. It's way to strong and was already a problem before COH but now it has reached stupid levels with a competent boon user and team.

Sure, you can just go and snuff it.. The problem is that any decent survivor will put it in a really out of the way place that will waste way to much of your time vs one survivor out of 4 taking seconds to set it up again. A killer snuffing a boon in the back corner of the map is not progressing their objective, while one survivor setting it back up does not stop the other 3 from doing gens.

Ok, but what exactly is the problem here? You are talking about a SWF as it seems like and this is unfortunately a different thing. We all know, that SWFs are overpowered, regardless if they bring CoH or not. If you aren't experienced enough to deal with it, you just cannot do much anyways. You guys should also think about casual players and the mid tier and not only the high end ranking. I either meet teams in my range or teams - thanks to the SSBM - absolutely out of my range who destroy me while I play on a killer with bad perks, cause I don't wanna spend since Myers is LVL50. But they would also destroy me without CoH. So that rly doesn't matter too much to me.

Not when we are talking about 4 survivors vs 1 Killer.....the only thing that seconds matter is to Killer.

It's supposed to be an asymmetric PvP game. Of course you are fighting 4 survivors and you need to outplay them smartly. Thats not happening always. But I put the blame on BHVR for changing the game into a sweating contest by changing the Ranking System to SSBM which is absolutely poop, but whatsoever.
