I will lose it if Claire is the survivor added because she’s my favorite character from the series.
i think the best be RE2 chapter than RE8 since we could get two survivors which means more chances for legendaries. So Claire is a yes, and I would love a ADA WONG and Jill Outfit

I think you need to look up the word 'speculation' in the dictionary...
I use fan made concept, but it's just if the killer was Mr.X or a Tyrant idk wat else you make his abilities. So pretty confident in it. Unless they give him a Rocket Launcher and it's Nemesis.

I think some people overestimate how many RE players will actually come over. I think a lot will try it but how long will they stay? Its not like one of those game franchises that hasn't had anything new in a while so do they really feel the need to move away from their real games? With people still replaying Village countless times like myself and Revelations 3 coming out POSSIBLY this year and RE4 Remake, A remake based on one of the greatest games of all time being made is there a reason to move into DBD? I see a bunch of reactions to that one RE showcase and a lot of them didn't know what it was. Did they take the time to look into it? Probably not because they are focused on their big game. That's just what I think though. I could be wrong and hopefully I am.
As a RE player, I got into this game because Leatherface back when he came out. Most probably would play it if Resistance wasn't a thing. It's a troubled game, but it can scratch the RE itch. I personally just need RE4 LEON, with or without his jacket.

So I just leaned from the Reddit forum that BBQ isn’t all that good. “Meh” seems to be the consensus. I feel so stupid. Apparently everyone only runs it for the BP.
I always wondered why every survivor I play with runs both prove thyself and we’re gonna live forever. Oh wait, they don’t.
Running the most popular information perk in the game and saying it’s for BP is like saying you read playboy for the articles. ######### off liars. ######### is OP.
BP is far easier to get stacked when killer. You just have to play the game, while We're Gonna Live...you need to do a more direct thing, same with Prove Thyself.

Um? Like no. Moris and keys bring life to this game. Imagine being a killer that can't even kill. So boring.
I never said Cypress was bad or rancor was either. IVORY N EVONY are UNFAIR. Btw i love moris just want fairness

Rank is only really a measure of BP gain, meaning consistently lucky players will also have good ranks.
The only way I can see of having a meaningful ranking system here is for survivors to be based off escapes and killers off kills, but AFK is still gonna be a problem (we really need an auto-kick feature for killers that don't move within the first two minutes of a trial).
It would need (x) placement matches to determine rank and then league brackets of varying skill level (eg. noob/adv/pro/elite).
But that would likely turn the game on it's head in terms of gameplay (much like the events I have taken part in), so would need separate queues for casual and ranked trials. That all seems too much tbh.
I do agree. On some level, but People who escape by hatch because they hide. Or anyone who juat dosen't contribute would still rank up. Plus SWF should be shown to the killer, Establish who are the SWF, so the killer can prepare for a worse experience than they deserve. I depip so undeservingly

Almost every single time Survivors put themselves into a 3 gen situation, one of them miraculously finds a key and escapes along with their friends.
All the prep work and effort the Killer had to do is now completely discarded because free escape keys. Why is this allowed and how is it fair?
If one of the Survivors brought a key right from the start, I can completely understand and revise my strategy. But there's literally no counter to unexpected keys from chests in a 3 gen situation.
How are keys fair in general

Call to action is a unique one and maybe also reveals their auras when the killer gets closer but I really do like the Following Shadow perk since it does fit the killer I am working on pretty well.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1205825#Comment_1205825
Think first one is spirit fury but 2nd might be a option if done right like besides unhooks it can punish people who are gen rushing or doing co op which causes what they are doing to go faster so a perk that can punish them might be a good way to look at it.
Thank god I made this forum and there is helpful folks in this community. I also redid some of the lore to make it more interesting so going to take a bit of time but also doing some concept art since turns out people love to see what the killer will look like. So thanks again to the people who are giving out great ideas.
Glad I can be a service. I think of perls too much and I thought of the idea of Rancor, Haunted Ground, Deliverance, and Poised before they became actual perks. And I hold them close to my heart even if I don't use any😅.

I assure you, plenty of Rank 1 killers camp. It is not as viable against SWF. It can be very effective against random teams. Especially when combined with their other favorite play styles: tunnel and slug.
Tbh you can't do much against a SWF as a Killer...Just take a Depip you don't deserve.

It's technically in the same boat, but what I meant by "balance" is like changing some of the perks in the game to make them on par with others so they are not completely forgotten. This would allow us to not just have 1 optimal build for both sides, but several to make things more interesting.
Gotcha. I appreciate the clarification.

Or any killer that is like old Freddy or has the same mechanics.
He was so fun to play and come up against, he had so much pressure but he was fairly weak in chases so it felt balanced out, he felt fair.
I hate these new killers that have abilities to help them in a chase but they have no pressure, chases (the actual fun part of the game) now go by much quicker and is harder to balance, other killers (like pig) are better as they have longer matches and longer chases. Freddy was just like this.
What I was thinking is a killer that pulls you into a different style world or something like that, and keep the transition flickers so it has a skill requirement. Make them do something unique to escape this world like to run somewhere. Then they can get back to gens.
He was my favourite killer, I have now moved onto Legion who i'm also having fun with. If an old Freddy mock was introduced then i would play it over anyone.
He had to hit a survivor 3 times essentially. If I hit someone and they are injured. Boom all gens finish and now they are FULL HEALTH and AWAKE. So h

None of them also can't make it to rank 8 as a Killer😂

Right now AMN is a bit of a wild card perk that's sometimes decent and other times not so much. The biggest issue is that its dependent on the Killer's playstyle and there are some important pallets (like shack pallet) that almost always get broken so you don't have a chance to save them.
I think it would be cool if the perk worked sort-of like dream pallets and allowed Yui to rebuild a broken pallet in place of the old one every two minutes. It wouldn't necessarily be overpowered because of the long cool down, but it would be a playmaking perk and a very interesting option that got more consistent value.
NO

Completely agree this shouldnt spawn. You cant fast vault from one side making it useless. On the other side unless you’re approaching from one specific direction AND have Lithe for the speed boost then its still utterly pointless.
Then avoid the spot and go towards a safe T-wall loop.

Let's imagine that you're a developer for a day. With Dead by Daylight constantly growing, many things are being planned for the near future; new characters, new perks, map changes, bug fixes, and more. However, if you could be a developer for a day, which of the following options below would you prioritize to implement in the game? You can only pick one in this poll, but feel free to comment below if you want to do more than just one option.
Isn't Map Design and Balance same boat? Or am I a Boomer?

Hawkins is the most survivor sided map in the game imo.
0 hooks on the second floor
3 pallets in every single hallway and 2 pallets in every room
And with the huge debris everywhere it is impossible to play efficiently as oni and Billy.
If you dont think this map is survivor sided your not past rank 15.
It is a Lerys type map. Some Killers are hurt severely by the indoor maps, while most killers get it easy.
In fact, I think any huge map is Survivor sided without a doubt and Billy/Oni have better chances then a Freddy would.

Been playing dbd a while, and finally decided that with a play station sale going on that I would like to purchase a DLC killer. I've currently nailed it down to two, and both fit my old school killer stalk your prey play style, of course I'm talking about Myers and Ghost face. I personally don't enjoy the wraith, so he's outta the question from my own opinion. I just thought I'd come here to see what people think, possibly draw up a little friendly debate between survivor and killer players alike. I know of all the various builds for both, eg tombstone Myers, infinite T3 Myers, XXXL spooky boi ghost face etc.
So I'm curious, who do you guys think is more fun, and who do you think is more viable? I love both killers I've been a fan of slashers for along long time but can't decide. Don't want any arguing just some nice general opinions, don't care what your rank is (^:p
MIKEY is MORE FUN and has better perks. Michael Myers has so many playstyles you can always find a way to make him fun.
-
Actually, if you visit my page I have two chapter ideas. Perks and all, but I got some you can use.
•Foresight
Scratch and Blood marks last 3/5/8 Seconds longer.
•Call to Action
Anytime a survivor fails a co-op action there aura will be shown for 3/4/5 Seconds.
•Following Shadow
Survivors who complete a generator by themselves shall be put in the exposed state for 20/30/40 Seconds.
•HEX:Finishing the Job
Upon hitting a survivor, their speed bonus is reduced by 15%/20%/30%

I love the idea of a Killer that can great a false sense of safety for the survivors. Maybe we make him Teleport to a scarecrow and can move anytime, but once he does he has a build up animation to give the survivor time. Maybe add a fun Spund queue.
Jeepers Creepers dude dress up as a scarecrow in the movies and maybe you can apply to him.
He might need something else as well to keep him on the level of Freddy and Demogorgon, since they can do more than teleport.
-
@Sandt21 said:
Wouldn't it make more sense to call him "The Deadlights"?
I thought of that. But the Deadlights don't make Pennywise and they are only a small part of what IT is. Ancient One or The Monster work since it's vague to what he is. But of course it's perfectly fair to do Deadlights. That's just how I feel.
NOTE: The IT and The Creature sounded off and not well enough to me so I thought monster works till something else comes up.

I'm stuck between bugs and balance but chose balance cause bugs don't affect everyone but balance does.
True but Bugs can ruin the match for players, balancing as well does this. Bugs just feel more unfair since it's random.
-
I understand the matchmaking is partially balance. I meant more of queue times and rank placements. My fault for mistranslating.
I chose bugs that can cause me to be stuck or just negatively effect gameplay. Some bugs are not as important, but I do see why balance should come first.

I hate survivors now days are cocky telling you are weak and saying using those perks is not ok and camping and tunnel is not ok but if you deal with swf and they all have bt and D's and adrenaline then they say that is fine for us to use but if we use noed to stop them we are weak like I really hate toxic survivor and reason Im saying this because I just had a match with them and it annoying me that I had to quit for the first time when I been getting 4k and now it say that I need to use noed to stop gen rush.
I think NOED is as toxic as ADRENALINE. Both over values and could use a nerf. BUT HEY YOU PLAY KILLER AND I APPRECIATE YOU FOR DOING SO. Ignore them when they are by the gates. They probably want bloodpoints or rub it so just ignore them and find the hatch to close for your bloodpoints, or break pallets. DO ANYTHING besides whack them.

Except keys need generators to be completed for keys to actually function.
Moris you need to hook once, and tunnel. That's all.
A key doesn't guarantee a win, a Mori certainly can.
NO BECAUSE YOU MORI MORE PEOPLE, MEANS HATCH IS TO SPAWN SOONER...KEYS COUNTER MORIS and EBONY Moris are silly. But hey don't get hook? Plenty of pallets you can waste if you were gen rushed they get to hook you once and your BT buddy unhooks ya so yall escape GG EZ
