I used to use Pentimento + Plaything combo before. Then survivors started to get smart and only destroy the Playthings with boons and I started getting 0 value out of it. I decided to change the build since it wasn't worth it anymore.
-
It is satisfying when survivors bring boons and you destroy it.
It should be basekit btw, without the aura reading. Then Shattered Hope effect would be not destroying the boon and give aura reading. Seems like a fair trade for Retribution, NOED and Undying players.
-
The only hexes that are worth using are Devour Hope, Plaything and Pentimento and the last one can be completely negated by boons.
The rest of the hexes aren't really useful and need a buff. Maybe not NOED though.
-
I wouldn't refund any of them, because i like having variety even it is playing a killer I hate, but if I had to choose it would Trickster and Oni.
-
I will buy it because I always do, even though I don't like Wesker. He is lame tbh
-
Doctor is already an electric type Pokemon. Therefore, I guess that a pirate or drowned corpse killer would be nice for a another water type.
You know, since Sadako is already a Ghost/Water type.

Because of how they don't impact the game in any way
And it is precisely because they don't impact the game they are considered toxic. You are not trying to win by clicking your flashlight, you are just trying to be annoying against your opponent which expresses some unsportsmanlike behavior.

that's why you didn't need them back then, it was a plus
Just to show how broken survivors were back then.

Yep definitely none of the killers you listed show up unexpectedly...
I mean, I haven't played it so I can't say, but the marketing only shows 4 killers as datable candidates and this marketing isn't convincing me to buy it.
-
Prove Thyself and toolboxes received no changes on this patch. You can pretty much imagine how oppressive they were back then when there weren't the extra 10 seconds on a gen.
-
When they announced the game, I thought that it would be a free-to-play since most companies don't put a price on joke games that are made for shits and giggles. I am definitely not paying to date Trapper. Wraith is ok, but I am still not paying for one character. If there were more killers, namely Oni, Trickster, Legion, Deathslinger, Doctor, Hillbilly and Blight (which IMO are all better than Trapper), then I would consider buying it.
-
I don't think that either Plague or Legion would use it seriously. The only scenario I can see this being used is if you want to make an over the top gen slowdown build with the only 4 perks that do that in the game: Thanatophobia, Pentimento, Gift of Pain and Dying Light. Even then you can make a case to use Plaything instead of Thana since it gives you more value and boosts your Pentimento.
-
For every two seconds Call of Brine regresses a gen you have to basically work one to compensate. Also, the problem with regression on DbD is that it takes a long time to have an impact and the survivors can just tap it and stop the regression, which is easy since there are 4 survivors to do it, while only one killer to kick it.
If you are having problems with Call of Brine there are two options:
- The killer is maintaining good pressure and keeping all survivors busy so they can't stop the regression, in this case, the killer should get rewarded for it.
- You or your team are incompetent to not be organized to stop the regression. If it is your team, then it is a problem with the matchmaking and not the perk. In both cases, you should get punished.
-
BBQ is still good as it still does it's job and it is a good information perk overall. The thing is that normally you won't be running more than 1 information perk per game, so you probably won't choose BBQ.
The only two killers perks who got butchered were Pop Goes the Weasel, Ruin and Dead Man's Switch (although it wasn't nerfed directly, the nerf to Pain Resonance made it very weak). But Ruin was already garbage before the patch, so that didn't change much tbh.
-
Yeah. This map has always been the one I hated the most, even more than old Haddonfield. They really need to rework the map since not only forces you to 3 gen, but that middle section is basically an infinite with so many loops stacked on top of each other. Even if you get rid of all the pallets on that area, it is still going to be problematic.

Look at any camping and tunneling discussion. Also there was the Scott Jund tunneling video on YouTube where he said how it was a "risk" and tons of people agreed and just followed his lead. So yeah, everywhere you look people say tunneling isn't as effective as it seems.
Well, camping is a risk. If the teammates just ignore the camping Bubba and rush gens with Prove Thyself and toolboxes the Bubba will end with probably only one or two kills.
Tunneling however is effective for simple mathematical reasons. 4 survivors are more efficient than 3, therefore it makes sense getting rid of one as soon as possible to remove 25% of their efficiency for the rest of the game. The only possible fix to this is to make gen repair speed and healing escalate with the number of survivors still alive in a way that 4 survivors have the same efficiency as 3 and so on.
-
Off the Record.
-
"No tears, they are a waste of good suffering."
Pinhead (probably) - 2021
-
Maybe they are cheating but I wouldn't doubt it is legit. They may have Prove Thyself and a very good toolbox.
Or they are simply very organized. I still use full gen slowdown builds for a reason.
-
I really want a Trickster Blighted skin. I have been waiting since release a design rework to make him scary.
-
Hooked on You will be a game which only purpose is to announce the shark killer. Just you watch.
-
I agree that tombstone is unhealthy, but Myers is so bad that he needs a full rework, not just a tombstone rework.
I would guess that if they rework him they would get rid of the purple add-on but keep the iri tombstone since it exists pretty much just to be combined with the perma tier 3 for the Evil Incarnate achievement.
-
Myers is a relic from the past. His model is outdated. His power is outdated. His animations are outdated. His add-ons are outdated.
Myers feel like a living fossil. No killer in the game is so useless in their basekit while becoming absolutely BS with some add-ons (tombstone).
-
Wth no. He actually needs some beefy buffs. Not being able to be revealed by people on hook and on the ground would be a good place to start.

Maybe I should add a big "This is a joke" image/title on everything, cuz gosh, some people can't take a joke.
Anyways. No, I don't have much regard for my other teammates. Because I bought this game for MY money so that I can have fun. So if I'm in a match that is extremely boring or frustrating, which rarely happens, I don't see any reason to stay in it cuz that's just gonna make it worse.
"So, I bought a ticket to Disneyland with my money so I can have my fun. So if I am in a line that is extremely boring and long I don't see any reason to not pass in front of other people and cause a scene. I don't have much regard for other people in the park after all."

No, it's a symptom of the penalties for this not being strong enough.
People DC/ragequit constantly in basically every game I've played, unless there is a penalty that stops this.
Prepatch, I saw maybe 1 DC in every 3 games, sometimes more. That's absurdly high.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3088292#Comment_3088292
Why aren't your teammates healing you?
If it's a Legion, it'll take longer but they are basically an M1 killer, so loop them better.
If it's a Plague, go for an overcleanse.
If it's literally anyone else that isn't a Fang Cenobite, Thana shouldn't be that big of a threat.
You're telling survivors to cleanse against a Plague to avoid Thana? Outrageous, survivors should always have control of the killer's power with no consequences.

Saying that "people don't want to play and that's their problem" is a bad moto for an online only multiplayer game.
In the past, killer or survivor, in every match there is a moment when the momentum shifts and the outcome is pretty much locked in. That feeling comes a lot sooner as survivor.
I'm sorry, but one thing is not wanting to click on "Play as a Survivor". Another completely different thing is starting a game and DCing and letting 3 other survivors to die, that's just bad personality.
And no, in the past the momentum was always in control of the survivors and even if you gained momentum as killer, survivors could easily turn the tables with second chance perks and with the insane gen speeds. Now killers on the A and B tiers are finally viable and can maintain control of the match without having to depend on survivor's competence.

I don't think people are angry becuase killers got buffed.
I think people have hard time as solo Survivors, which is true. Also tunneling and camping is so easy now.
The main problem with soloQ is bad teammates, but that's on MMR, not on game balance. Bad teammates is a problem with every multiplayer game that is based around team play. You shouldn't be able to carry 3 incompetent teammates against a good killer, that's not how it works.

You feel better getting that out? Good. Now let’s try to think practically about what the game needs instead of throwing around unhelpful superiority nonsense.
I mean, it is true. Killer has been miserable since the game's conception. If being weak was an excuse for DC, Trickster and Myers would have 100% DC rate because they were miserable.
Now that the game is mildly fair for both sides survivors are DCing. That's not a problem with the game, it is with the players.

Swearing to stop using DH and IW months ago was the best decision I made
The changes barely impacted my gameplay
DH is still good, definitely better than Balanced Landing and Smash Hit. It is just not as BS as before.
-
Not regarding DCs, people killing themselves on hooks and sandbagging, I would say that when the patch released the kill rates were pretty high.
Now that survivors are adapting, I would say that at a high level the kill rates would be around 60%. Maybe I am wrong and it is lower, but I wouldn't bet higher than this.
-
Iron Will used to be a braindead counterplay to her. Most Spirit players wouldn't even bother to try to chase an Iron Will player before.
Now that Iron Will is nerfed, playing Spirit has been an enjoyable experience.

Yes, they are DCing, they are giving up instantly, they are afk dying on hook. No ######### shirlock. These are the consequences of being overpowered. Turns out the people you are playing against are real people. What they are not doing is conspiring by dying to inflate kill rates.
1: Killers are far from being overpowered.
2: Even if they were overpowered this wouldn't be an excuse to throw the game, specially since, you know, there are other people on your team that depend on your competence to win.

Spirit Fury and Enduring are strange being two different things. Enduring can be used by itself but Spirit Fury is never used by itself.
I don't think they should be merged together but it makes sense.

So not a solo q main, that's what I thought yeah.
Most SoloQ problems are not balance problems, they are matchmaking problems.
-
The update made maps that were bad go up to the acceptable category, Ormond is one of those. However, a lot of maps still need changes to be even acceptable.
Maps who are so bad they need rework, the list:
Suffocation Pit
Groaning Storehouse
Coal Tower
Gas Haven
Azarov's Resting Place
Blood Lodge
Farm maps (except for Thompson's House)
Badham's Preschool
Sanctum of Wrath
The rest are fine IMO. Maybe Mother's Dwelling, Eyrie of Crows and RPD need to shrink in size but that's it.

Oh so bully = escape now?
You can still escape if you are good. It is just that you won't be able to spend the entire game screwing around and be rewarded because gens go too quick.
-
SB isn't even strong to deserve a nerf. Overcome and Lithe are stronger IMO and they are fine.
-
Well, if you refuse to put killer chack pallet down it is not on the perk...

DS is joke after nerfs, i have no issue to catch them again.
And honestly, i am almost never seeing DS in trials anymore. People dropped it.
It is still a solid perk, it just depends on your positioning. If you have terrible positioning and get downed on the corner of a swamp map, of course, you will get downed again quickly. But using your DS on the middle of a map like Suffocation Pit is just as effective as before since you can get back on looping and continue to waste a killer's time.

So what? If they bodyblock you, hit them and tunnel them. They are not making good distance after hits anymore, thanks to general killer buffs. It should not be hard to tunnel them right?
DS still exists.
-
For killer, Corrupt, BBQ, Pain Resonance and Tinkerer are still decent. Only Ruin and Pop got absolutely gutted.
For survivor, Dead Hard, DS and BT are still solid choices. Spine Chill is still interesting depending on the killer you like to counter. Iron Will and Self Care got hit pretty hard though.
-
Almost every change is great. My only problems are that the Self-Care and Ruin nerfs were unnecessary and OTR is busted now.
Other than that the patch is solid.

How exactly they will abuse? They will need to be hooked for use it. So they will give you free hooks for use it or you are justnot good even after this buffs? Which one?
4 survivors using OTR while you going for 3 hooks on everyone means that if they all decide to abuse it and bodyblock you with OTR everytime then it is 8 health states you're eating throughout the match without any benefit for you.
One survivor using OTR aggressively is manageable, but 4 are not.

It's not even that bad, and 80 seconds is a long time for a survivor to not be doing a generator.
Is 80 seconds too little or too much time? Make up your mind.

the only mistake was the ds stun nerf.
No, the only mistake was OTR. That perk has no right to exist being a BT on steroids. There is no reason for BT to exist when this abomination is in the game and BT is already a pretty strong perk as it is.
When SWFs start abusing 4 OTR on the same game, I expect a nerf in 3 weeks because the game will be unplayable.

I voted A for the Dredge skin. I don't really care abou the rest.
