PUHLEASE!!!! Either that or let us change individual key bindings!! (Instead of having one key decide so many different things) I am so sick of checking behind me to see where the killer is, and because my camera is facing towards a locker, I am prompted to quick hide instead of vaulting. Usually I remember to flick my camera around to avoid this, but it isn't something I should have to do! It's incredibly frustrating.

    https://youtu.be/m24fm57HSMk

Also please fix how ping affects gameplay. I am very clearly outside of the locker, two feet planted firmly on the ground, and Chuck still gets the pull animation. I could've had a much longer chase, instead it was snuffed out because of things I cannot control. Feelsbadman.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/NE82SN2F2Z32/image.png

Is there not a change binding on console? Because I've always thought it would be avaliable for Console and PC.

    No. Just no.

  • Yeah, I hope so too. I've had instances of throwing down a flashbang, and even though it should've blinded the killer it strangely doesn't like it used to. I just hope the angles will be tweaked a bit more to still blind.

  • Sorry mate! I don't mean to be horrible to you, just advising that A.I isn't the best. Trust me, it's crap sometimes. I am intrigued by the ideas that you was trying to come up with, but they would need a major rework. They're a tad strong... 😬

Today, I played a total of 39 games as Killer (one game per Killer), and in all 39 games, at least one Survivor used the Offering: Sacrificial Ward. I’m not sure how the system calculates things, but based on my observations, when someone uses Sacrificial Ward and no other players bring an Offering related to maps or realms, the map that gets selected is almost always an indoor map about 70% of the time. Examples include Léry's Memorial Institute, Gideon Meat Plant, Hawkins National Laboratory, Midwich Elementary School, and RPD (through the RPD Badge).

What surprises me the most is how often RPD Badge gets selected. On many occasions when I played as Killer and brought a realm-related Offering and the Survivors did too the Survivors' realm usually gets picked, and the map ends up being what they wanted.

I honestly think Sacrificial Ward is ruining the game. I'm not imagining it—I encounter RPD Badge and Gideon Meat Plant far too often, simply because one of the Survivors brought a Sacrificial Ward. I don’t think it should work like this.

I think you might've just been getting unlucky tbh. It tends to be the RNG of what realm gets picked, I've had instances of going to the same map a few times with no offerings boosting the chances of it getting picked.

And with the survivors using the offerings, I think each offering is a 25% chance of the realm getting picked? And let's say hypothetically, four survivors brought four of the same map offerings and the killer brought a different one, I think it's more of a 50/50.

(I think the killer offering is a 100% chance as it's just one killer, and one survivor offering is like 25% chance? So if all four pitched in for the same offering, it'd also be a 100% chance.)

The main issue, is that Sacrificial Ward doesn't fully stop the realm from getting selected. So let's say, four survivors put down an R.P.D offering, and you place a Sacrificial Ward, it'll only decrease the R.P.D's chance of selection to 4% I believe? So it still has a chance.

  • Disabling Endurance on unhooked survivors and granting 8/9/10 seconds of aura reading counters perks like Borrowed Time, but it doesn’t guarantee kills.

Borrowed Time only adds a bonus to their endurance/haste. And it can in fact guarantee kills if the killer is tunneling that particular survivor.

Disabling self-recovery and slowing healing of dying survivors by 80/90/100% supports slugging but doesn’t ensure kills.

It can ensure kills if everyone gets downed or if the survivors won't run in to pick up the downed survivor.

This dynamic keeps games engaging, not one-sided.

That is the most stupidest sentence I've ever read. It is one-sided as it's giving killers significant buffs and will not keep the game engaging, as survivors will most likely DC.

they shift the challenge toward smarter, more coordinated play.

Not always. It'll lead to more frustrating moments.

(P.S. AI won't get you anywhere.)

    Heya Lads!

I hope everyone is doing well!

Just wanted to talk about Dead By Daylight Mobile.

Although I must admit, the game was largely run and handled by Netease. I thoroughly enjoyed the game. Despite its Gacha systems, which I'm not completely against it.

Yet ever since it discontinued, I can't lie. Really missing the game alot. Not even worried about the stuff I bought. But I just really wish we could play it again.

At some point in the future, I'm sure I'll be able to play the PC version. I can't wait to dive in.

But I honestly really hope, Behaviour does consider giving mobile another shot.

Not sure why it completely stopped. I'm sure someone here will probably give an answer to that. But hey, I really wish it can come back. So man, as much as I get annoyed by SWF's. I do miss it.

So Behavior Devs, congratulations on the 9 years of DBD. I hope to see for more to come.

But, please bring the mobile version back. Don't really care who makes it. Just, would love to dive into the fog again. Until I make it to the PC one.

Thanks for reading. Hope you see you all in the fog.

Yeah, I miss DBD Mobile. But I think the reason why it was removed was to do with NetEase. And tbh, I did envy some of the outfits on DBD Mobile as some characters got an alternate mori.

For example, Trapper has an ice type of skin and his mori was quite brutal. He grabs the survivor and sticks their head into a bear trap.

Wraith has an exclusive where he breaks a survivor's neck with his weapon. So quite brutal, but I'm sad that they didn't make it to the base game.

The mobile version had much more things than the main game as well. So I'm sad to see it go. 😕

  • Yeah. Just no. As previous people mentioned, these perk ideas aren't the best and if combined correctly it'll just buff the killer side significantly. Killing the fun for survivors mainly.

perks will make meta more interesting and offer new opportunities to killer players

It won't be interesting. It'll just be insanely boring if the killers are just getting their kills spoonfed. There are already meta for killers right now, they don't need incredibly overpowered perks that'll end the game instantly.

  • @Langweilig said:

I think on no mother you could bring it back one a one.

If you make it just an exhaustion perks, I would remove the invincibility and make it exhaust you for 60-80 seconds or something else.

    That could work!

  • I've made a post about this a week or two ago. I'm hoping BHVR will remove the BP cap, it serves no purpose to the game tbh. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that the cap has gone up to 5 million, but I feel like they should've removed it altogether.

  • @Langweilig said:

@Gh0st2317 I think it was almost fine as well. It‘s not much diffrent than the other exhaustion perks and the killer could just wait it out at loops.

The only thing that they should have changed about the perk is removing the invincibility so you can actually mess it up and the killer can hit you.

I hope behavior makes a classic mode where they bring back some of the old perks. Old DH looks so much fun in old videos. I think there has never been a more fun perk/mechanic for survivors.

Yeah, I feel like I like that idea. But again, DH was seen as a second chance perk. If they were to add a classic mode, that would be really fun tbh.

I think the old DH could be brought back, but I'm guessing it'll need certain adjustments.

You made a mistake and won't make it to the pallet? Dead Hard.

The killer is about to hit you? Dead Hard.

Want to get to places you're not supposed to? Dead Hard.

    Fair enough.

  • If those perks were to be added, no one would play survivor. Those perks will just influence more camping, tunneling and slugging. Making it incredibly killer sided. So no. Just no. And besides, it will harm the survivor side majorly as no one may play as much or will migrate to playing as killer.

You see @Gh0st2317, THIS is good satire, this is funny because everyone knows it's nonsense.

In all seriousness, it got a laugh out of me XD

Exactly! This made me laugh a bit ngl XD

  • It would make No Mither pretty rewarding too. It was more better with the grunts of pain being completely silenced, as it added some fairness to not be caught as easily. Yet, you would've had to remain careful. The idea with the old DH dash is nice too, maybe instead of exhaustion it could be like a cooldown? Not a short cooldown, nor a long. So somewhere in the middle maybe?

  • @Brokenbones said:

If old DH were to return I think the community would have a complete and utter meltdown and I'm not saying that to be hyperbolic.

I know I'd be mad personally.

imo the only change no mither could get that'd be nice is letting the survivor using it start healthy, but the perks supposed to be a 'hard mode survivor' thing so, maybe not.

Tbh, I never understood why people were so pressed about the old Dead Hard. 🤷‍♂️

Like I'm curious, what was wrong with it? It just gave some distance at the penalty of exhaustion.

Ikr? That'll just kill the game if they ever get added... 🫠

  • @Skillfulstone said:

I'm honestly not quite sure if this is satire or not. This can't be real.

I'm silently hoping it's satire tbh...

  • No. Just no.

  • biggest example are tunneling, camping and slugging. Against any killer that actually has at least some skill, these strats are extremely situational and thrive on survivors making mistakes. BHVR has been consistently bringing more changes and perks to counter these playstyles just because bad players didn't want to sit and learn how to counter them.

New players would want to play for fun. Not to get tunneled, camped or slugged 24/7. It's a boring strategy and will cause frustrations mainly from the survivor side.

Why did BHVR remove the option to turn off crossplay??

It's so annoying having to play with people from epic games, cause we know the majortity of the hackers come from there.

Wait, they disabled Crossplay? Since when? I think if you go to the main menu where you can select to be Killer or Survivor, it should allow you to switch.

  • @ksignum said:

We urgently need the established color scheme for rarities back. Not only are the new tiers for Perks, Items, Addons and Offerings much harder to discern (namely the blue and purple rarity), which I can only asume is even harder for those with a visual impairment, they also throw almost 8 years of the community's learned association out of the window:

    • With the previously established color scheme it was practically impossible to mix up rarity tiers (You can make a point that the Event rarity could conflict with the yellow rarity but you have gone on record saying that the Event rarity is going to get phased out either way)
    • Everyone that has been playing dbd since perk tiers got a consistent color scheme has fixed associations between colours and rarities and they are easy to learn by new players as well
    • Switching an existing color to a different rarity causes massive confusion for the existing player base for no added benefit to new players (a descriptor like "uncommon" or "rare" makes it so either scheme is easy to pick up if there is no association FROM THIS GAME yet)
    • The worst offenders of this change are BP offerings: the formerly green letter was an offering that was shared among the whole team, the new green letter is a personal BP offering

Only because other game studios in the industry have developed their games with a different scheme in mind does not mean that you have to throw 8 years of history out of the window to force a change like this now. I get that you try to make the upcomming FNAF fans' onboarding as easy as possible but i can asure you that they will not have a problem learning the game with the scheme we all learned (and that has massive amounts of learning ressources already made with it!).

Here's to hoping for a swift rollback, until then I will unfortunately have no other choice than to mod my game accordingly.

    With best regards!

They need to revert the new scheme, or add a switch to it. There has been reports as well of people being colourblind and struggling to see their items/perks. Secondly, it doesn't feel the same either. I've always used to yellow being uncommon and green for rare. But now since it's changed, it adds some confusion. Not only to myself, but probably to other new players if they decide to watch old DBD tips and maybe the old veterans who decide to return.

  • @Lexilogo said:

I wouldn't be against it, but it needs to be considered in comparison to Any Means Necessary because it's very similar in concept. Any Means Necessary is a somewhat undertuned Perk, but understandably so, reviving a god pallet can be a game-winning move. Simply the ability to repair a broken Pallet in a roughly similar manner as 2v8, without a particular downside except a long cooldown, IMO would be a bit much.

Maybe it could be implemented as a Boon? The Boon causes pallets in the area to reset shortly after they've been destroyed/thrown down, but the Killer snuffing the Boon removes those respawned pallets? Or maybe as an Invocation?

I feel like Any Means Necessary can recieve the buff of repairing pallets, but they'd be party pallets as @Langweilig recommended. So they'll break upon stun, but maybe a timer could be implemented for how long the party pallet could last for?

Btw, I like the ideas of them being as an Invocation or a Boon, but instead of respawning them, maybe they could be replaced with party pallets?

  • @Langweilig said:

I had a similar idea as buff for any means necessary, but instead of rebuilding normal pallets I would make it only party pallets.

I like that idea! It would make Any Means Necessary more handy.

  • @TinaHateMyers said:

hello community, I appeal for a perk that allows us to repair pallets, such as in 2v8 mode, of course it would have some limitation to 2 or 3 pallets lifted per match, I think it would be a good perk, if this game is currently being made a bit for killers looking at the new changes😝

I was actually thinking about that yesterday lol

But I think it could be a bit token-based maybe? So you would have to do something risky in order to be awarded a token. Each token used, repairs a pallet of your choice. I think you should be able to get up to 2-4 tokens only. What do you all think? I don't want to make it too OP, but enough so it's kind of balanced.

    (Overall, love the perk idea!!)

  • Majority of matches I've played on 2v8, has been non-stop Oni & Legion. And most of the time, the Oni I'm against will slug every survivor they down whilst using Blood Fury, and the Legion would just be in frenzy continuously. And I know that there are 'counter-plays' for Legion or Oni but they tend to be more effective on 1v4, not 2v8. Survivors constantly need to keep healing to avoid spilling more blood orbs for Oni, but Legion will constantly be in frenzy hitting everyone again. It's a continuous loop cycle, yet it doesn't take long for Legion or Oni to regain their ability either. Hence, if BHVR removed either one of them, it would create some sort of fairness. Or at least drop a nerf for one of them.

  • @Emeal said:

    Why?

    1. Wesker is a very popular Killer.
    2. The problem does not happen that often.

If you wanna help solve it, make a bug report and put Logs every time it happens.

I'm pretty sure there was reports about Wesker's bugs during the previous 2v8 yet it wasn't fixed I believe. It still occurs now which is even more annoying.

  • @pigslittlepet said:

i'm probably the five thousandth person to complain about this but the color change was completely unnecessary and just stupid. the old color system was fine and whatever excuse was given for the color change is pointless and has no bearing on reality. please change it back. you won't, but i'm still gonna ask.

You're not wrong. The current colour scheme sucks. And I've heard that it makes people with colourblindness unable to see their perks/items. Which is appalling as apparently BHVR considered this change to appear as more 'modernized', when really it'll probably add more confusion for new players too if they watch old DBD videos, as well if they want tips on what to run etc. Sadly, BHVR may not take action even though majority of the player base is hating on it.

  • Not to mention, I've heard that the new colour scheme (having blue as rare and green as uncommon) is making people who have colourblindness struggle to see their perks/addons. Pretty absurd of BHVR ngl. Apparently they considered this change to appear as more 'modernized' when really it'll probably add more confusion for new players if they watch old DBD video tips.

In this instance, it means the players get stuck, unable to perform actions, and must wait until one or both of them DC or the game server times out. It’s just short of a game breaking bug (everyone else in the game can still play normally. )

    It's annoying tho tbh...

  • @Elan said:

Absolutely agree! Killers been always a bully target and only Nurse or Blight stood on point to be both balanced and strong. Other killers been buffed but still not enough to get to the level where you need to even try as a survivor, but win for free.

    Needed changes for killers:

    1. Perks basekit - corrupt intervention, deadlock, sloppy butcher, pain resonance, dead mans switch, noed, grim embrace, save the best for last (no stacks), no way out, bamboozle, surge
    2. basekit changes - cooldown after attack down to 1.9s
    3. basekit - movement speed for each killer increased by 0.2m/s
    4. basekit - time to kick pallet and gen down to 1.2s

    Needed nerfs for the survivors:

    1. Perks to be nerfed - dead hard, ds, unbreakable, all boons, all haste perks, all exhaustion perks
    2. basekit - self heal up to 40s, heal up to 30s
    3. basekit - gens up to 120s
    4. basekit - regression on gens up to 2ch/s regresses if not repaired
    5. basekit - stage on hook down to 40s
    6. basekit - hooks needed to sacrifice from 3 down to 2
    7. basekit - maps rng will generate 2-3 pallets per 1/4 of a map, reducing the chained loops that cause issues

With all those changes the game might become somewhat balanced for underpowered killer role. Think of new players that will come, will they play so insanely survivor sided game? No, no matter the license as it happed to tokyo ghoul, where the kaneki was unreasonably nerfed to the ground just because he couldnt be bullied as one and only killer since blight.

That is just making the game incredibly killer sided and perk reliant rather than skill reliant. If those changes were to happen, majority of survivors would not play or migrate to being killer. And tbh, DBD isn't even survivor sided. If it's SWF, maybe. Solo queue? Definitely not. As I've stated, skill is required for being the killer. It won't be fair if killers are just spoon fed in a way.

    in How? Comment by Gh0st2317
  • The issue is that BHVR doesn't often care, which sucks. Went against an Albert Wesker once in 2v8, and the survivor he grabbed from his ability were both stuck in the same animation of Wesker about to hook the Steve. He was stuck like that for the whole match, to the point the killers and survivor had to DC as it went past EGC.

I main killer and survivor XD

Maybe stop complaining and don't play Killer if it gets on your nerves?

  • I beg to differ. I've played killer multiple times and never found boon totems an issue. Therefore, it's your skill as killer that needs improving.

  • @Elan said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3932010#Comment_3932010

They don't need any changes. Their currecnt form is very balanced and it would make killers more consistent overall and open path to other builds without being at 1 gen at 4mins into game. If not, at least make time to repair a gen about 120s, so the game overall feel more consistent for killer players that actually want to play in a normal and healthy way.

I'm sorry, but that seems like a skill problem with the killer you're playing as if the gens are going to one left insanely quickly. Increasing the time it takes for gens to be completed will just make it killer sided. The gen completion timer is fine as it is. Unless, if it's a SWF team then fair enough. But in general, just no.

  • @tyler_oxide said:

Well, Shattered Hope can be made basekit and then the boons can be balanced from there. However, reboonable boons is a very silly mechanic given the time investment for killers vs survivors and in order to tackle problematic map offering situations. Period. That's all. Thanks for your inputs but you're wrong.

Re-booning a totem is time-wasting for survivors... it just looks like the map is more the issue instead of the totems themselves. If you're struggling, then that's a skill problem tbh.

  • @TieBreaker said:

Boons are too niche in their use for the killer to have a basekit ability that destroys them. It would make them even weaker than they are now.

Make boons better, then make Shattered Hope basekit. Boons would finally be worth including in a survivor's loadout, and the killer would have a consistent tool for limiting their use.

That would be fair. If boons got buffed, then Shattered Hope could possibly be basekit. But currently, boons are just powerless.

  • @Elan said:

There are more perks I'd like to see basekit on killer - corrupt, noed, nowhere to hide, pain resonance, dead mans switch, grim embrace, pop goes the weasel, no way out, sloppy butcher. Don't make game perk reliant when killers are on rough spot of being extremely underpowered.

Having those perks as basekit for Killer is literally a gigantic buff tbh. Unless they're reworked so they are balanced, but other than that it will just buff the killer side significantly.

  • @tyler_oxide said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3932003#Comment_3932003

Well they can be near the action until they get broken with basekit shattered hope. Then they are not near the action since the killer spent precious time going and snuffing it. Since the boon can reach literally half the map of RPD and takes 1 minute to locate and snuff, let's look at implementing this.

It just seems RPD is the issue. 🤷‍♂️

Boons are perfectly fine the way they are. They're powerless in a way.

  • Tbh, boons are pretty useless anyways. I find it extremely rare to come across survivors running a boon perk/build. I see what you're trying to say, but making the totems unable to cast an effect to nearby survivors after snuffing the totem is just nerfing the boons at that rate. Making them one-time use. Besides, boons are fine with where they are at and I find totems are hard to locate when you're running a boon perk. You can just simply listen out to figure out where they are. Simple. 🤷‍♂️

Nice suggestion though, but I disagree.
