Rank rewards are coming, actually.

Oh, and while we are on the topic of games being dead because of one of the sides tryharding a lot.
There was a game called Evolve, I hope you heard about it. It was very common in that game to focus one particular member of the hunters' team (healer) first so that he can't sustain his teammates. It was a very common tactic in that game used by every monster player in the game. You might think this was the reason this game died, but no, actually, nobody had a problem with that because everybody understood that healer was at the same time the weakest and the most important link of the team. Evolve died because of the other reason and it was poor balance tilted in hunters' (survivors analogue) favour which eventually resulted in nobody wanting to play monster and the majority of players abandoning the game.
I see you're taking my "death of DbD" thing a bit too seriously. That was an exaggeration on my end. I meant it more akin to "ruin it for me". Regardless, the same arguments apply.

I'm talking about getting an imposter and being voted out for whatever reason. I've been browsing AU forums for a while and trust me, there was NEVER so much complaining about such situations like there is in dbd.
As for apex legends, it's pretty comparable, it's not identical, yeah, but getting killed early is the same as being focused by the killer.
Being voted out for no reason at all is kinda bs, though wholly caused by the game's reliance on (bluffing) eye-witnesses followed by sheep mentality. Those are entirely different reasons than why DbD sees so many campers. In AU, the other power to put a stop to it, yet they simply don't, either because they don't care, they think it's funny, or they've joined a bandwagon. Imagine if one survivor can say "kill that one", and have their aura revealed for the entire match.
As for your argument in Apex, I don't really see what we're disagreeing on there. It's shite, but at least in Apex, you (largely) have the exact same tools at your disposal. That means that you just as easily could have done it to them, provided you are skilled enough and if you were in their literal position. There's no equivalent of that in DbD.

It’s not really my problem though is it? It’s a PvP game, they can play better.
The only logical reason I have to not tunnel survivors is because they are making the chase too costly. If they are going down really fast too bad, get better at hiding or get better at looping.
You don’t see people on the CS:GO forums complaining they are getting wrecked and have to wait to respawn all the time
And that right there is the root of the problem. You, and so many others, simply cannot be made to care about the other players' experience. And that's not something I can possibly hope to change. Nor can I actually blame you for it.
But I have to once again ask if you've been the victim of this. Even beyond the logical aspect of it, it just sucks to be on the receiving end, that much you have to agree on? Hell, there are players out there who do it for that sheer aspect. I don't think you are that kind of player, but even so.
"Get better at hiding or get better at looping". So you're just saying "git gud"? If the killer's competent, and persistent, the survivor will get found, and they will go down. Skill will only delay the inevitable. Once they're on the hook, only their perks can save them. Teammates? Not in solo que, I'm sure you're aware of that.

I don’t even see why it’s shunned or people feel the need to apologize for it.
If the survivors want to get all the gens done in 5 minutes, then the killer can get the kills done in 2 minutes.
It’s funny because my friend, who doesn’t even play this game, doesn’t understand it either. I was showing him some of the salt on my steam page and this is the conversation…

That’s definitely not true. I win the overwhelming majority of my killer games at red ranks using this basic strategy:
- Get an early hook before corrupt is over
- Secure the nearest 3 gen to the hook, or it’s already secure depending on where Corrupt still is
- Camp/Tunnel the first survivor to death
- Snowball in the 3v1, through slugging, if too many gens got done during #3
I literally camp and tunnel every game of DBD I play, and I will stop doing it when it stops working
Sorry, but I do take issue with this.
First of all, in your argument involving your friend, you fail to mention to your friend that the other player literally has no agency once they've been chosen. They will die, and there's nothing they can do. Yet they have to wait at least 2 minutes for them to actually kick the bucket if they want to give their teammates a remote chance, which they often don't. They either do the fair equivalent of a DC, or they literally cannot play the game.
Have you ever been the victim of this? Only when you're a very skilled survivor can you actually extend the 2 minutes by any meaningful amount. The vast majority of survivors is not that, leading to them having a miserable experience, after which they're sent straight back to the queue, with a meager amount of BP. And for what? Because they got unlucky. They were the 1/4 that had to be denied the entire match because of your desire to win said game.
I know empathy for your opposition cannot be asked for, and I am guaranteeing you don't give a flying ######### about any of this. But holy mother of Moses, is wanting a healthy environment for all players so much to ask?
-
All missions, would be my guess. I've never actually let it come to that, tbh.

What mentality? It's a fact. It is Survivor sided, it very much is. Well..that's the kinda the point don't ya think? You're a Survivor in a horror game against a Killer? What exactly are you expecting here?
Yes, I am a solo Survivor main. Meaning I have only played as a Solo Survivor since I started playing Survivor. I've unlocked every teachable perk for every Survivor starting from level 1 each time, DLC included and here recently I even unlocked every Adept Survivor achievement in two days as a Solo to further prove that Survivor is easy.
Have you ever played Killer? Are you trying to downplay the sheer amount of stress a Killer has to endure by comparing it to a minor issue such as potato teammates?
I play both, leaning more towards Killer. I have no aspirations to become the best killer there ever was, and am under no delusion that I'm highly skilled. Yet I absolutely refuse to facecamp and tunnel. And I do fine. I don't win every match, but I don't want or need to. The worst I do is slug.
If playing killer is that stressful, you're really going into it with the wrong mentality. I don't suffer from stress at all. I recognise when my opponents are simply better than me, and leave it at that. If they use broken perks/loops/add-ons, then that's why.
Regarding the whole "sided" thing... Some aspects are sided towards one side, because they have to be. The game as a whole is not. If it was, then why do we have other players the opposite of what you're claiming?

that is the nature of any pvp game, good morning. especially of any elimination pvp game.
Among Us for example or Apex Legends. Are these games dying because of this?
PvP game by definition means that people are having fun there at each other's expense.
Among Us: Ending a crewmate's game right then and there is literally the only way they can kill anyone at all. Additionally, dead players can still do things such as complete tasks, or as an impostor, sabotage. They're not relegated to just sitting there and watching, unlike DbD, where you're forced to just wait it out for 2 minutes to allow your teammates to stand a chance at doing their objective. Also, if I recall, Among Us also was complained about with how being the first to die is miserable.
Apex Legends: How is this even comparable? Apex is not asymmetrical. Every player in a match can be picked off at any time, and they themselves have the ability to do so as well, with any weapon. Imagine in Apex that you're downed, and you have to stay still and watch, without being able to ping the enemies' location to your teammates. And that for 2 minutes.

You don't need to apologize for playing the game bro. It's incredibly Survivor sided, they're spoiled rotten and what happens when you do that? They get super entitled. Playing Survivor is easy. Playing Killer is not and it's tremendously stressful. You do what YOU do as a Killer to Survive.
I'm so tired of this mentality. It's not X-sided. It's simply not. And even if it was, why in the fresh blue hell can I only rely on myself and the perks I bring to survive?
Have you ever played solo survivor? I literally cannot expect my teammates to save me from the hook WITH Kindred.
-
This constant drive for "optimal" play at the cost of another player's ability to even play the game is going to be the death of DbD.
-
I'd like to point that DbD isn't the only game that suffers under EAC's failing protection. Apex Legends also has rampant hackers.
-
Remember that it applies Incapacitated for 16 seconds. That's 20% that's completely denied and it starts regressing to boot. And that can be applied to all generators with progress on them, AND triggers on downs of any kind.
-
I’m guessing full-scale reworks are unlikely, but I don’t think he needs it anyway. He just needs to learn to tip-toe after leaving a portal, and he’d be perfect, imo.
-
He can be adjusted after the cutoff date.
-
I’d take 3 huntresses in a row over spirit once in a row every time.
-
It’s changing to be only once with the Chapter release.
-
Most likely not. And even if we ever will, it won't be anytime soon.
-
I'm ashamed of how long it took me to get it.
-
It's fan-made.
-
The size won't change when it eventually gets its overhaul, just sayin'.

Yeah, and he can speak for himself.
Then why doesn't he?! He still owes me 20 euros.

The why is quite literally the biggest and most frequently asked question. Of course it'll appear first in "Frequently Asked Questions". And they can't answer it better than this, most likely due to an NDA. If they didn't include it, they would have to answer threads like this every single time with the exact same response you have here.
It's not them dodging the question, they legally answer the question in further detail than this.

The RT though. Normally if you wanna retweet something, you'd just do it and instead of putting RT. This is what caused a good amount of confusion. I just wanna know if the RT was just a meme or they were actually trying to retweet
Considering the tweet they retweeted, it does make sense to "lazily" just type "rt".

Oh heavens, this one's from when I started playing.

Given that "sus" stayed far longer than it really should have because of comments like this... Making this thread is counterproductive.

For what it's worth Pinhead is actually referred to in the movies (and book, I think?) as the Hell Priest.
I’m aware, yeah. It’s just a bit too cheesy for my taste. Same with Deathslinger, who I just call “Slinger”.
-
No immediate downside? They can taken out of the game entirely.
-
I’ve started to call Pyramid Head “Prymid”. Shortens it down to 2 syllables, and makes room for Pinhead to be the “head”.
Pinny feels forced to me, and Hell Priest, though accurate, feels a bit too cheesy.

So steve and nancy will het lagacy skins?
No. They’ll be unobtainable, therefore becoming “legacy” items themselves. Same with Demo.
Same goes for all their existing skins.
-
Thing is, he has the whole K-pop thing going on, but they couldn’t have gone into the actual really, really grim side of that industry without greatly alienating the demographic it was aimed at. He only has the “pretty” side of K-pop, which feels out of place in DbD to some. His story as it is now could have been any musician’s, and it wouldn’t really have changed much. His power is also wholly unrelated to the theme, and he himself feels a bit superficial as a result of that. Why does he throw knives? Oh, he learned that as a kid. How is that K-pop? There’s the whole neon aesthetic, sure, but again that feels superficial when there’s not much else K-pop going on.
He feels like he’s licensed, without any reference to what he’s supposed to be from.
Ironically, Yun-Jin does this far better, and she’s the survivor for crying out loud.

Known issues only includes issues introduced in this patch/ptb.

Makes me wonder if there’s killer bots on the PTB as well. The first (and only one) I faced most definitely was not.

According to leaks, these are actually bots.
Oh. I stand corrected.
What was I thinking? People, nice? Preposterous.
-
Now, I can understand you feel confused about this, since it isn’t very common. But have you considered that you may have encountered people that are…y’know…
Nice?
-
Thought you meant the in-game hammer item, and imagined various killers wildly flailing about with a hammer twice the size of their head, complete with chiptune theme.
I wouldn’t be against it, but my completionist side wouldn’t let me use them, ever.
-
I think this comes down to how the Entity goes about bringing the survivors back from mori's in the first place. Does it just reconstruct their corpses and resurrects them? Does it plop in another copy from when they first got pulled in?
If it's the first, we got a problem with Pinhead's mori, as you said. If it's the second, it's a non-issue for the Entity.
-
So you're fine with mass-murderers, deeply perverted minds, and the entire concept of the game?

Nemesis is weapon free as well. Just shows his whip every so often.
His fist is still bloodied in his P1. Pinhead's weapon is just...not there until you attack.
-
Although I'm wholly unfamiliar with ST, if Steve and Nancy supposedly escaped the Entity and go back to their roles in Hawkins, there's no way they don't suffer from severe PTSD.
I'm guessing it's either non-canon entirely, or alternate timeline shenanigans.

Hangman's Trick? Though that seems more mechanical in nature, not so much supernatural.

Most likely to have the new function of the rank system be a bit more intuitive, rather than just a number.

Just the Christmas sweaters. I already have outfits I like for Nancy and Steve, and the P3 for Demo will be enough. I don't play them three enough to buy outfits without shards, even during a sale.

And to take us...to hell?
A close-up
