I have seen this happen as well. especially when a survivor approaches and points at a hook. I just slug them because they shouldn't be cueing up in the first place. at which point, twice in two days, I get the "servers not responding" message and dc'd.
-
I have had a really hard time linking accounts as well. I can use my bhvr account just fine but twitch never sends the link or offers the ability to input verification code, so it is on twitch's end.

You can DH on reaction
You can't dodge on reaction
Only on PC can you dodge on reaction. Console nurse vs PC survivor shows this quite well. I am sure it works as well against xeno.
-
Huntress works the same way as xeno's tail. Ever dodge a hatchet? I've dodged his tail half a dozen times in a row and I am terribad crapola.

You never played this game 😉
I have...a few times and can confirm this. Also, the game is very one dimensional when compared to dbd. I could go through a litany but I already know what it is. Being such, I have no need to convince anyone else. Long live dbd.
Also, since I am given limited posting (tee-hee), xeno is fine. I escape on him as much as any other killer.

10/10, just is. Best videogame ever. No jive. Nothing even comes close. There are many difficulties, that at times seem impossible but that is what keeps me playing. Nothing is handed to me and it is incumbent on me to strive to be better. It's a hard game on either side. I never tire of it. I'm at about 10,000 hours.
Tunneling is a major turn off but so is mic-facilitated gen rush. Can't have one without the other.
Unfortunately, once tunneling is established as the easy win it is, few play any other way.

Damn ive been playing the game wrong then. Split hooks on doc for the past 15 games. Pipped up everytime. Rank 3 about to be 2. Using dms, ultimate weapon, shadowborn, merciless storm. I really need to master the art of the ranking.
More will be revealed.

same thing happening to me a couple times each time I play.

I have played 16 games since i came home from work. And no kidding, every game the killer have gotten someone on hook, and everytime they get saved they come back and ignore everyone else to go for that same guy. All 16 games? Whats up, tunnel-friday or something?
pretty much every day. most killers are realizing they can win almost every game by tunneling. same as mic-facilitated genrush.

Devs know that Nerfing Nurse (and Blight) without reducing the power of good SWFs will result in major backlash that will probably tank their killer main population. They won’t touch SWF because, even for the sake of balance, players will view it as a punishment for playing with friends.
If they won’t balance the game around the strongest players on one side, then they really can’t do the same for the other and not be accused of being biased. One may argue that SWF isn’t a problem because the sweaty swat squads are few in number, which is a fair argument, then the same can be said for Nurse (and Blight), since the really good players who can maximize their potential are few in number and thus, aren’t really much of a problem in the grand scheme of things.
this. I seldom see beast mode nurse.
-
if I can do it, anyone can.
genrush...is still a problem.
-
countering the nurse. I am terrible at survivor, yet able to counter her with a degree of success on par with other killers.
-
ah, ok. good luck catching that one then. Thanx for the reply
-
another question-does chronic tunneling result in more killer nerfs?

I know I will not reach every dbd Player with these please but the more join the better.
I I beg you all to only play Nurse from now on when you want to be killer and abuse the **** out of her. Bring the strongest addons, bring the strongest Perks, Tunnel, slug and Camp how you want. Do everything to win the round and the next and the next.
Upload Videos of high win streaks, of disconnects and first hook kills.
Since the devs ignore our ideas and wishes regarding this Monster of a game destroyer still since weeks/months we have to show them more what Problem this killer really is for this game.
cute but very few can actually play her at her full potential. now get out there and learn to counter her.
-
the nurse is a masterpiece best left unfettered.
-
I am always delighted to see things that disrupt any order.
-
that is awesome. Thanx for the input. I have about 6000 hours in this game but have health issues at the moment making me a bit loopy. all this dismay I experienced can be traced back to my mind. these tips help greatly though, so once again, thank you, folks.
-
inertia?
edit-oh, I understand now.
-
I will try that. been a long time since I've seen it. thank you.

if art the clown ever manifests in these parts, dismemberment, disembowelment and general evisceration will be on the table.

so, that video...that is able to be overcome? I had no control over pinhead.
-
I just seldom see it so potent. the first hook, I caught her within 10 of a hook and no obstacles to my path there. I let them escape after that, as I was done after that considering how I was fast approaching the controller decimation realm. I could not move at all. it was insane.
I hear people say that about controllers a lot but that is how I see a keyboard. never tried one though for online gaming
-
just don't let them get into your head. those folks owned my mind at one time. easier said than done, yes but playing with a mic helped me not to take it personal. I found it is fun being sassy and "toxic" but I still get mad now and then. far less than I used to and that is the key. my 4 man squad was steamrolled by a Wesker before work tonight he wasn't even tunneling, which is usually the indication that they are mad. your best friend (for now) is slugging. it is fun trying to nail them all and have something to fight over. another way I choose to avoid being mad (and have fun or trounce them if I choose) is to let them escape but only after the game has run it's course. their sole ambition is to make me mad and once they have done that, it's pretty much over for me.

Your on here bragging you have a 99% wr and your not prepared to back this the tiniest bit by saying which killer you have been playing?
people keep saying this but he said it fairly early in this thread.

it reminds me of one of my favorite scenes in "natural born killers" when Michael Madsen's character is choking some hooch while she is freaking out. He just smiles and says, "I'm just kidding" while continuing with his uncouth behavior.
I don't believe either side should go too long without crossing over to the other side now and then. it has helped my mental health tremendously. perhaps...just emotional well being. anyways...I used to react like a flagrant nutjob to teabags and the like. face-camping, tunneling...the works. I started playing with a mic more and wow...that sure is fun. lol, not sure why but sassing the killer is hilarious. dead dawg saloon with head on? omg, don't get me started.
I am much quicker to realize that this is just how the game works. I give in to the madness now and then but not nearly like I used to. to understand and comprehend (and most importantly...not be owned by such antics), one must experience and try not to react on the same level. works for me.
ah, ok. here I am being all artsy-fartsy, trendy and referential. they both look the same and play essentially the same characters though...so, there is that.
anyways...at about 11:40 in this video, a "toxic" nea was all clicky-clicky and antagonistic the whole game, my initial plan was to foist her mental bedlam back into her tenfold but then I realized I didn't want to punish the next 6 lobbies while still staying mad. she seemed to struggle more with my decision than I did.

am I correct in saying that all the "so great" killer players employ the advanced tunnelmanship so well?
"dooood...that was so awesome!"
"tunnel one out of the game and then it's all down hill from there"". been said but not going to shame the source.

I meant advice on how to tackle these things. What players should we watch that would teach something like this? Otzdarva teaches a lot of things but even he does not have all the answers. And of course his win rate is not 99% so his advice clearly wouldn't suffice. The same goes for any other DBD content creator I know of.
yeah, this shouldn't have gone 3 pages but...if someone is better than nototz and not looked into his income, then credibility diminishes for me.

No I don't stream
you should... obviously...but...yeah.

No, it’s not. It’s a pain in the butt, but you can strive to at least get a 2k.
Just throw out all the rules and expectations survivors have grown comfortable with and delete them one by one by immediately identifying the weakest link and removing them from the match.
Problem is you can’t do much with a casual set up.
Abridged version...just tunnel.
-
True, when I do see them it is hard to get enthusiastic about playing against them. Most of the "so greats" I see just return to hooks though. I am quite happy that bhvr has made such gameplay more difficult.
-
None, I feel the same needs them all and I try to play all of them.

I mean… nurse.
but that’s the obvious answer, so I’ll just say another killer I hate going against, clown.
Nurse is not that big of a deal. Very few god nurses exist. People that play on mics exclusively though, deserve god nurses.
-
I love playing nurse on rpd.
She is finally performing on console at nearly the level of PC.
The game will not be the same if she is changed.
-
Same, just good manners but not sure why. Definitely not a guiding principle of my fellow travelers. I feel better though. So there is that.

Honestly I am not sure where the demonstration was that survivors are to blame for being the "root" of tunneling.
Really? The awareness that the pig was standing right there, did nothing to deter them from unhooking right in front of her without borrowed time. Not just once, the entire game until everyone was dead. I think everyone is so used to seeing it, that it barely raises an eyebrow.

They don't.
No one intentionally WANTS to be tunneled.
People just make mistakes. It is natural.
The video says otherwise. This behavior is epidemic.

@Dogma_loki said:
Meh. A lot of killers just go far away from the hook so survivors go for the save and then run/teleport back to the hook to try for easy downs. I had a Dredge match last night and this dude would hook people by lockers and instantly teleport back before survivors could even get an unhook.
So, one example of such behavior should be sufficient for survivors to take note and not feed them. 90% of the time, they don't seem to.

So is your rescuer.
A killer does not have to tunnel in that situation. They can choose to go against the person who rescued you. MYC, perhaps.
This is within the killer's control.
I could agree. Myself, that is how I play. Yet, many never will in that situation, so why do survivors insist on feeding them?
