I got it with iridescent queen on first game. Best way to do it.

Anyone planning on watching "martyrs" is encouraged to not read anything about it or watch trailers. To me, the film is the absolute pinnacle of horror. It is a hard watch and I almost turned it off at one point as It became too much. I am glad I didn't because it all became so clear at the end. I still get goosebumps even now as I type this. Total mindf*** of a film.
-
Yes, thank you everyone. I have a ton more to share as I generally watch two or three a week at minimum.
Orphan was great as well. I enjoyed the prequel a good deal as well but had to not think too hard at a couple moments. That girl in the lead role is fantastic. Oddly, that is based on a true story but the source material was probably not as sensational.
Another that came to mind is the French film "calvaire". Calvaire is french for "the ordeal". Pretty strong material in that one. I really enjoyed it.

I don't think you'd want an extra perk slot to do that.
We need a robust, base system that prevents tunnelling from being so effective.
In that case, mics would have no real counter but to buff either without the other being done likewise is not good.
-
This video is 3 years old and basically a lot of bellyaching about how killers are forced to play just to compete against mic squads. The situation is far better these days and the video is only worth mentioning for the ending that still makes my tail wag fervidly.
Teabags met with abrupt justice and consequence. It's at the end.

They will never change. Play survivor and barely escape to see if you can resist the overwhelming inclination to do likewise. Impossible, even for me, who used to lose it when watching this brutal show of pixels. I play "fair" 99% of my games as killer and still see it quite often. I make it a point these days to go the gate and watch while nodding my head. Their disenchantment with my reaction is as good as it gets and to be quite honest, I'm indifferent to it most of the time these days due to practicing such a reaction for so long.
-
I love the mode but my only complaint is there needs to be one extra perk for both roles that inhibits gen rush and tunneling.
Both sides of this coin can be very bad. I had a spirit faze directly to the hook every unhook. I can put in the usual complaints about such but bleh...you get the idea.
-
The original "scream" is a classic. "Event horizon" was vastly underappreciated.
-
OP obviously hasn't seen what that crazy cat the clown been perpin'. All stepping on heads, lopping off fingers and sucking them! Who does that?! That jive ass turkey, that's who! No social grace!

Good titles, folks. Thanx.
13 cameras. That, too. Dude puts in a performance of a lifetime. Mondo Creepo de Maximo. He makes the an ordinary film extraordinary.
I have assembled a list of over a hundred on x (Twitter) on the name ParasiticSeth. A group linked on my profile called "crazy love for horror films". I offer horror/dark films synopsis's with no spoilers. An open group, anyone can post and discuss.

We need to bring back down voting. Just sayin'.

When I say "martyrs", I mean this one. The French film. Also, always choose unrated.
-
I love this band and this song.
Jess and the Ancient Ones-"prayer for death and fire".

I wholeheartedly agree. Sbmm pretty much takes care of that for the most part. Unfortunately,, the secret is out. Just do gens and you'll escape every time. This is about 90% of the survivor population in my opinion. I generally only win (sans chasing people off the hook, I have to say it that way as tunneling has a multitude of meanings now) when I am playing against folks who don't understand the simple principle. Usually, such a lack of knowledge entails other intellectual "shortcomings" and I suspect many of us killers who don't engage the aforementioned "strategy", would never get any kills.
Myself, I almost never play with a mic. Seems more pure that way but also comes with it's problems.
-
Hitting on the hook is also bad and last game, I believe the killer stared at me a little too long to be merely neutral.
-
I have come to the conclusion that the whole argument is ridiculous. That's not to say I don't find the staunch defense of the indefensible humorous. There will always be the Sam Shepherd impersonator for some tough talk while calling me "bud".
It's just that with "impossible to win" aspects at play., there will always be an overkill response required. Then the argument becomes when and how, which requires speculation as to one's precise ambitions. Lol, whole thing falls apart at that point.
It's really just a race to who employs the unwinnable strategy first and most effectively.

First of all, tunneling and slugging are legit playstyles that the devs have already stated they aren't going to aggressively punish because inherently, they are not toxic playstyles. Both sides are playing to win, and a killer will do these to win if need be. Second of all, they've dealt with toxic playstyles as best as they can (flashing lights constantly at players for example). Third, all PVP games typically have their own way of t-bagging, etc. and there's really nothing the devs can do about it. If you see something that is offensive, record video of it and submit a report on their website. They already said they aren't doing anything on reports when there is no video evidence. This includes cheating, griefing, etc.
Get video evidence. Submit a report. Move on. It's just a game. You getting angry is only giving them what they want.. A reaction out of you.
I feel it is more disenchantment than anger. For that to be a desired result is odd to me. If someone is playing for the sole purpose of creating disenchantment, than I would argue they enjoy trolling more than the game itself. Since I love the game, myself, I want others to love it. Hence, I go out of my way ro make the game enjoyable for others. I still play to win but there is a difference between that and some of the behaviors mentioned here.
Like Scott Jund has said, "dbd is just a fantasy, either side is in a position to completely trounce the other at any given moment, it isn't even a real competition." Given that I regard that as fact, it's amazing that the game is still as much fun as it is. Especially given how many seek to make it not such.
Overkill is a distinct possibility for either side. Using it when there is already near zero chance of losing is not good for the continued health of the game.

This is what the devs want. In their exact words they say they want the killer to feel like "an unstoppable force".
Why shouldn't a killer be? The alternative is more group lampooning than there already is. No killer would play that.

Dying light and thanatophonia.
Game over.
-
I do sometimes. Entirely contingent on how full of myself I am at any given moment and of course, I take into consideration how much ill will shall be foisted back at me for behaving quite oddly.
Seriously though, I do. I just find it funny. My grammar is terrible but I am still amused. Thanx for what I shall interpret as a compliment. =D

There's a mentality that you're not responsible for other people's fun therefore it's valid to play/do whatever you want. I understand the point of this kind of thinking but I feel at its core it promotes a very selfish playstyle that if everyone adopted would make the game absolutely miserable, and downright unplayable on survivor side. If nobody cared about anybody then every game would be a sweat fest, broken perks, broken add-ons, constant BM, no saves, constant sandbagging etc. It's the same mentality cheaters have. They don't care that the game is unfun for the killer or survivor, they only care about their own fun.
I know many people will tell you that it's your fault for getting upset on how people choose to play, just try not to let it bother you. People will defend anything if it means they can win. Not everyone is like this though, some people in this game do genuinely care and recognize that there's an actual human being on the other side of the screen. I wish you luck in the fog! <3
Thank you, sir. You as well.

I never mentioned teabags or other vacuous silliness. What I am referring to is overkill for the sake of a perceived humiliation. I laugh at all the swf silliness and have now for some time but now that I see more killers not being bothered by the nonsense, I see genrush being the go to. 4 and 5 minutes games the norm. The only way to combat is to tunnel everyone and so they seem to hope, get mad.
5 people bringing in gen rush builds isn't about winning, it's about overkill and huniliation.

@Crowman said:
It's a PvP game. Your opponent playing to win is not inherently toxic nor is it your opponents duty to make sure you enjoy the match.
As I said, there is nothing ambiguous about a scenario such as 5 gens left and the killer is camping 30 feet away from their first hook, for the sole purpose of ensuring that no one can unhook the person. Is it really about winning at that point? Really? How about a Freddy that downs their first person and then puts pools around rhe person in hopes no one can get them up again? This, for the primary purpose of doing likewise to anyone who dares attempts.
Both scenarios literally just happened back to back. Seems indefensible to me.
-
Sometimes, depending on it being great or terrible. Average really doesn't matter to me. Mostly great games though.
-
There will never be a fix for "randomitis". Randoms are gonna random and that is generally what makes solo q excruciating. I still mostly play solo though and enjoy it more than with a mic.
Sbmm seems to have lightened up. Certainly not as strict as it once was.
-
That is what I meant. The BP rewards thing. I didnsee there was already a thread about this.
-
Object of obsession and a few other perks.

Tbh it's the hatch standoff all over again. When there's two survivors left it's practically impossible to do a whole gen or more since for some reason the devs decided that it's okay to not have any kind of catch up mechanics for survivors. So the only thing they can do is not get caught first since any other option is a guaranteed loss.
Many times. I have seen or been party to, keeping the killer in chase long enough for a gen or two to be done.
-
I am grateful for counterable perks for tunneling. It's far more tolerable than it used to be.
-
BNP on every gen is not a weak perk.

Solo Q has remained a circus for years now.
True, the cold, hard fact is that without these shenanigans from solo Q, some killers would never get kills. So, it is necessary or there would be even more tunnel/camp theatrics .
-
I win some and lose some as survivor. Nothing extraordinary. I seldom play with a mic.
-
I love the random perks rift challenges. I intentionally fail just so I can do them in another game.

Well. Survivors tend to focus X specific generators (X= amount of survivors not in a chase) instead of spreading the progrrss among all 7 generators.
Survivors btw *choose* to bring a toolbox to do gens faster.
Survivors also seem to prefer to stay on the same gens which already have progress instead of going for a new one. You know, the "vulnerable" ones which can be finished faster than new ones.
Not to forget not going for saves/unhooks instantly but staying on gens right before stage 2.
Tunneling and genrush both are just doing the objective. Except people shame killers for doing it and forget theyre doing it as survivors.
Meh, I am just not interested in playing against it. Myself and 3 other randoms just threw ourselves at a tunneling Ghostface and 3 of us died on our first hook. if that is the direction you want to see the game go in. Keep doing what you do.
This was in "lights out", love the mode but the baddies are wrecking the enjoyment.
-
All succumb to the power of the radiant beam fortunately. One should not be distracted by real world physics viability here.
-
PC players can manipulate their graphics/brightness and see them well.
-
Just survivors being silly. Usually to make the killer go easy on them. Sometimes it works.

Pray tell, how can survivors genrush with nothing but their base kit?
They’re just doing their objective. They can’t choose to make that objective go faster, as much as killers can choose to go after the vulnerable surv over and over.
I was responding to a post referring to the game in general.
Yes, killers tunnel in lights out mode for easy wins.

Incase you haven't noticed, people tend to greatly exaggerate how often tunneling, camping, and 4man SWF death squads happen.
Mics are not necessary for genrush. As long as genrush exists, tunneling will be necessary for killers that like to win.
-
Ditto for me, op. This does feel like hardcore mode and I'm loving it.
-
Yeah, I should have thought this out better than what I did. That one is an obvious manifestation of trolling. The rest? Meh. I was just blowing off steam. Seems to help. Still love this crazy game after all these years.
-
You folks did a great job on chucky. Alien as well.
-
Tried to post a YouTube link of gameplay. Never mind.
-
I have played this game over 6 years now on both sides. The best thing to do is get with a 4 man squad and do the same thing. That helped me tremendously. I used to get very stressed about all that but now I just laugh. I have seen the other side (4man) and it is hilarious. It just is. It isn't personal and the more you play against it, the better you'll be. Avoid lightborn, as there are better perks. Use perks that play to the killer's strengths, the killer that you are using.
Slug and face the wall if you are picking up. Sometimes, if I sense they are out for blood and that is often, I just down them and let them get back up. Survivors that are out for blood HATE this type of behavior and will just stand there and stare at you.
-
I think they are all tunneltastic for the most part. I suspect much of it stems from survivors being "toxic". I am immune from it for the most part but even when they do catch me "having a moment", I generally won't tunnel as they need that to justify their antics. Playing killer, not survivor's stooge.
-
They did a great job on Chucky. He's a blast to play as and has funny lines. I smile the whole time I play as him.
-
ah, ok. thank you.

so, tunneling isn't a thing but it is a guaranteed "L"?
