The new killer has a perk that gives 7% haste just for kicking a gen. An extra 3% is easily countered by that.
You cannot compare those two perks at all. Just because 7%>3% doesn’t mean that the perk with the 7% haste is better. Look at all the other factors to it.
For the killer to get the 7% haste from Machine Learning, they need to kick multiple gens and survivors need to complete that gen that was kicked second, and the killer only gets the movement speed for 30 seconds. With Made for This, the survivor gets 3% haste for simply just being injured, no other requirements.
You cannot compare the two at all.

I'm assuming from the wording that the point of this post is to dismiss any video people post because the survivors didn't play perfectly or randomly run X perk.
I was thinking the same thing.

amazing, hes weak after being out for less than 12 hours lol. maybe take the time to learn before you call him weak?
The keyword they put was “if”. They probably aren’t making a final judgement on the killer’s strength, just saying that they will main Singularity regardless if he’s strong or weak.
-
I was the same way after my first match on Artist’s PTB. I’m currently still playing her a ton. Sometimes we just know right away if a killer is the right one for us.
-
Thank you for not hating my new survivor main btw.

100% on separate gens. If it were on only 1 gen ok, it's strong, but it's on 4 random gens. You haven't considered this
Four random gens? It regresses the gen with the MOST progress. That is by no means random.
-
Well we’ll just have to see how it looks, but based off BHVR’s track record with killer design, I’m assuming that it will be another setup zoning killer.

It's not the same thing. DS if used in a good spot can make a chase last also 1 or 2 more minutes. Pain resonance work like this: oh the gen popped, well we can rush it same with prove and busted toolboxes. 22.5 seconds became like 3 seconds, are you sure about that?
Getting all four uses of Pain Resonance is literally 100% of a whole gen. That saves more time than what DS provided in most cases.

Deadlock is countered by genrush, a lots of my matches end up with 6 gens made. Pain resonance doesn't give any value, since the reward for the hook is only 25% (correct me if I'm wrong, I don't remember the %), only usable 4 times. For a perk only usable 4 times, that require you to hook on a specific hook, I need more % of regression.
Only 25%? That’s literally 22.5 seconds of a gen that is being regressed, that is far from nothing. And four max uses means nothing about the perks strength, DS was seen as one of the best perks for a while yet it was a one-time use perk. That’s why I hate it when people bring up the “it has X uses” argument.

no, because killers don't have slowdown anymore. Literally every slowdown is dead, maybe jolt is still alive but isn't that strong. Survs, on the other hands, still have prove thyself, busted toolboxes and bnp. Like in 30 seconds you see 2/3 gens popped. I preferred the game when DS stunned you for 5 seconds but at least I had my slowdown perks, so I could counter genrush. Now it's a "tunnel the objective" party.
Let’s not pretend Pain Resonance and Deadlock aren’t prevalent anymore. Both are still very good.
-
At that point you might as well just delete her because I’d be perplexed to see anyone want to ready up for a match even if they knew the killer was Skull Merchant lol.

The complaining will stop when BHVR gives us Rin as a cute survivor with 100 mix and match-able outfits.
BHVR can have all my money if they did that.
-
Both sides have been complaining, let’s be real. A lot of cool stuff has been announced yet you can’t please everyone. It just is what it is.

I don't know why, but I always thought you'd been around DBD for longer than me.
I wish I’ve been around longer I will say, but I didn’t even know this game existed until I got it in June 2020. When did you find DBD if I may ask?
-
I never really experienced OG Prayer Beads since I found DBD after its nerf. 😢
Anyway for me it’s the old versions of MacMillan, Autohaven, Coldwind, etc.
-
Why nerf the Artist?
Anyway my answer is: buff Trapper, rework Skull Merchant, nerf Blight, remove Knight.
-
They just confirmed it to be May 19th, 1:30 ET.

If it was meant for actual reasons then there shouldn’t be a punishment because you had to go take care of something
The punishment will most likely expire by the time that issue is resolved, assuming you don’t DC often.

Understandable coming from a P71 Spirit.

Can you elaborate please?

Why isn't it?
"Sweaty players' " main motivation is winning. True casual players' main motivation is having fun, they don't care about winning and don't call anyone sweaty. That means that players who are upset by losing are actually motivated by the same thing as "Sweaty" ones.
The only difference between so-called "Casual player" and "Sweaty player" is skill level. Which very often doesn't even mean that someone is tryharding. He/she just isn't trolling and may even eat sandwich while winning.
EDIT: and please remember that this is competitive game (players versus player). True casual players:
- Don't play competitive games
- Play against bots
- Resigned to the obvious fact that other players will try to win
You say that casual players try to have fun, but you forget that playing against a sweaty win streak Blight with C33 and Alc Ring is not fun by any means. It’s not about “winning and losing”.

Was that the one with the guy who said looping for 5 gens but dying means you suck at the game?
Yeah it also means you lost a hockey game as well.
-
Ok good for you I guess? You realize there are many other killers in this game that can get downs much quicker that also can’t stall a game out for 40 minutes and also take skill to play unlike Snore Merchant right?
-
I’ve taken a couple of month plus long breaks and they have definitely helped as well.

Like 2 killers are more annoying but that’s it.

Oh I see. I guess it’s because you’re a newer member. Idk how it works, it’s been a while since I was new to the forums.

Love the positivity. I feel like we’ve needed a little bit of it on these forums.

I really wish Artist had a satisfying noise when hitting a cross-map snipe.

I would argue it's the closest it's ever been to dying personally. The meta has been getting worse for both sides this year and all the other asyms are coming out right now or re-coming out. This anniv HAS to bang or DBD might fall off in my opinion.
I literally got four different notifications from you on this same post 😭

To make it worse, I am actually thinking of buying SM to spite all the SWFs who keep sending me to Garden of Poop and Borgo on the weekends. I'm getting so tired of it. I'm literally at the point to where I'm just going to face camp the first person I hook if there was a map offering to those places 👹
That’s fair. If they want to make the other side miserable, then the receiving end can return the favor.

I'd rather suffer against a SM over hearing the constant screeching of bird lady. I dunno what it is though, I don't see SM much. Maybe it's just my region or MMR. Not complaining though, I don't want to experience what everyone is complaining about.

I wouldnt even say its in a bad state. Just the community babies upset that their crutches were taken away
Good point.
-
Is DBD in a bad state? Yes.
Is DBD dying? No.
-
This is why more people should play Artist. Just like Skull Merchant she has cross map multi-tasking but unlike Skull Merchant is actually fun.
-
This gave me a good laugh 🤣
-
Streamers like that are why both sides will never get along. It’s this endless cycle of toxicity that divides this community. It’s so sad honestly.
-
I’ve had quite a few survivors burn an Eyrie of Crows offering and abuse that collision. Totally not annoying at all 🙂
Glad it’s killswitched.

Because most players use add-ons. I said she's stronger than Blight without add-ons which is the context OP set for his tier list.
With add-ons, Blight and Spirit are stronger than Artist, and barely harder to play.
I get that Artist doesn’t have the best collection of add ons, but her best ones, mainly the Severed Hands, Festering Carrion, and Thick Tar are surprisingly useful. Not Alc Ring or MDR strength, but very strong in the rights hands.

@Pulsar said:

She can, unfortunately, still get massive value out of CoB, Overcharge and other gen kicking perks.
She probably won't beat dedicated good teams, but there's not many that would be willing to play a 45 minute game.
For the average player, if she chooses to hold a 3-gen, there still isn't much you can do.
Well from that perspective then I can see that.
-
@Saiph said:
Some of the placements make me very confused. Artist is a very strong killer without add-ons, and easier to play than Blight. She should be S-tier according to your criteria. I wonder what has happened to you that lead you to put her in B-tier, personally I hardly ever lose when playing her.
Blight without add-ons is not that great imo. I'd say B-tier.
Bubba without add-ons practically has no chase power and so should be rated as bad as Trapper. His chainsaw also takes time to learn as you need to practice almost every single map tile in the game to loop it tight without crashing. Definitely one of the most punishing killers. I'd say it's the same for Billy although I haven't played him that much. Both should be in the lowest tier.
The rest of the killers placements look surprisingly accurate.
If Artist is so much easier than Blight and is just as strong, why is she so rare when Blight isn’t?
-
What does Skull Merchant have over the top 3 killers exactly? Her 3-gens were at their peak before the CoB and OC nerfs. Now she has an okay chase power with the pallet breaking mechanic with some decent tracking and multitasking, but can not down survivors the rate at which Nurse, Blight, and Spirit can. People forget the best slowdown a killer can provide is downing survivors and those three are the best at it.

+1 for “us vs them”, let’s keep it going, eh.
Camping and Tunnelling are considered legitimate strategies by the developers and they’ve been in the game for several years.
It’s a case of deal with it or stop playing. That’s what it boils down to. There are things in place to reduce the effects, but eradicating it is near impossible. So have fun advocating for that.
Whether camping and tunneling are legitimate strategies is irrelevant. It doesn’t change the fact that those strategies are incredibly unfun to play against.
-
I’m so glad I’m not the only one that thinks this. The pipping system for survivor is so awful it hurts. They should just remove depipping altogether because it has no place in the game anymore.
-
A lot of SB and Lithe was annoying at first but I’ve adapted to it quickly. I think exhaustion is in a good spot overall.
