Now think of the Killer... any hit they get can/will be healed in 8 seconds (give or take)
Hence why Camping and Tunneling are a thing... and why Franklin's is a thing
Yes I know that Solo sucks right now
Also have you opened a chest at the start of a match and switching the items out? that also counters Franklin's
I know I agree it's needed or they have to completely gut most items(let's not).
I was just saying I understand why survivors find it so annoying.
It's not even really strong unless survivors are running 4 medkits or toolboxes anything less then that imo is a waste of a perk slot.
-
@RaSavage42 said:
So the Killer is supposed to allow Items to reign supreme...
Franklin's is a perk that has uses (like the one you brought up)
But it wouldn't be that big a deal if Survivors didn't bring in their best Items...
You said that your medkit had 90 charges... why would the Killer allow you to use it freely
This is why survivors hate Franklin's so much they bring there purple fully decked out medkit and then Franklin's destroys it. Imagine 4 people bring the best medkits fully decked with built without Franklin's the killer is probably going to lose that because they are going to heal themselves so fast over and over they cant build pressure.
BTW it is a huge pain when I'm trying to deplete x toolboxes fully but if you pick it backup before it's complete gone it still counts.

I get into chases, it's why I do actually run windows. Even if I wasn't doing saves and such, stealth is never perfect. I'll eventually get better at them with time, but for now, staying stealthy is the best option for me and the team.
Depends alls it takes is DR and now your useless or a few aura perks can cause your stealth to be completely useless but you are right you will get better eventually. Try playing killer and watch how good survivors loop will help alot as well.

Okay, but why would a person who wants to win use a cosmetic or survivor that actively hurts them. Conversly why does that justify telling a new killer player "you lost because they have Ada and you never heard them"
There going to wear bright colors to express their dominance. But seriously the more flashy the more confident they are. I had a match with 3 blendetts that would leave and hide everytime they heard my TR. 4k at 4 gens as clown. Hiding everytime you hea r the TR is so inefficient that if more then one is doing it its a gg 3-4k.

@Maelstrom808 said:
Yeah no. Am I selfish in that I don't try to make sure that I get my equal time in chase and number of hooks as everyone else? Sure, I'm terrible in chase as survivor and I'm not going to be buying anyone much time, so I'm best serving the team by staying out of sight and slamming gens. I run Kindred so I can see if I need to go for save, which I'm happy to do unless they are being camped. I'll heal and bodyblock as I can. I run distortion to help keep me alive so I can do these things. Once gates are open, I have no problem sacrificing myself to get someone else out of the gate, but I guess I'm still the selfish one that needs a perk nerfed to force me into more (very short) chases that just leads to my teammates wasting time trying to rescue me.
Not to be rude but your always going to suck unless you get into chases. Windows is a great perk if your not good at chase it helps you plan out where to go next. Even if you go down in 10 seconds you can learn from it.

There’s no particular reason Boons and Hexes need to work the same way. It’s perfectly fine for Boon totems to be reblessable so long as the individual Boon perks themselves are balanced around that. And in fact the only Boon people even complain about being overpowered on this forum is Circle of Healing, all the other Boons are generally considered a lot weaker and see less use. (Shadowstep is probably the second best Boon and it sees much less use than Circle of Healing. Exponential is pretty bad, it only sees use in gimmick builds by swfs, and Dark Theory sees basically no use at all.)
So no, Boons and Hexes can work differently, that’s totally fine.
People sleep on shadow step so much it I can't tell you how many times I've come around a corner chasing a survivor for them to just be gone.

@Pulsar said:
Yeah, I agree.
Tunneling is a crutch to a lot of Killers at this point.
It's necessary against really good Survivors but the fact of the matter is, nobody plays against those players consistently.
Play killer after like 10 pm on the west coast and tell me that. I normally expect to lose most my games because the most sweaty survivors seem to come out at that time.But during normal hours I might get 2 in a row worst case scenario. There are times though when gen spread has 3 gens pop in 2 minutes and then killing some definitely is a priority because there's literally 1 survivor for each gen left and that's a losing battle for the killer.

I'm forever getting hit through pallet stuns, round corners and even through items in the environment. So....can't relate.
I get those occasionally but 9/10 it's the killers ping in my games. I I got hit at shack windows last night after a fast vault and I landed and got hit and the little knife showed up and stayed for most the match so I just pre dropped.

You really wanna talk about hitboxes survivor/killer wise ?
Because Hatchets, victor, demo and list goes on; seem pretty realistic to me lol
Huntress has always been like that though. They even tried to fix them and then completely broke them. Pallet hitboxes have changed. You are right though hitboxes in general are pretty crazy

I think the goal is to make pallet hitboxes around the same size as Huntress hatchets.
Say around the dimensions of a Cooper Mini.
Honestly they are pretty close with some of the crazy stun I've taken and gotten is getting ridiculous.

Title. Or at LEAST one or two perks to mess with the survivors heads using TR altering perks. Nothing scares me more than a Killer that can really utilize perks that throw off the TR. It's one of my favorite things to do as Killer, especially when I can use it in chase to cut off where I correctly predict a survivor to be going by waiting in the doorway and jump-scaring them. That stuff startles me like nothing else in this game can, and I wish I got to experience it more from the other end (survivor).
What do you all think?
Do you often play this style as Killer?
Do you wish more Killers used this?
Unfortunately Spine Chill completely negates any stealth killer or SWF. most of the time stealth builds just aren't viable because as your going around trying to be smart and stealthy gens are popping left and right.

Sometimes stealth Killers can be noticed by the noise they make, especially if you play with headsets. Wraith, Myers and Jigsaw breats are easy to hear and Ghostface pleather suit "squeaks" can be heard for a mile away.
And then there is Spine Chill, not as good as before but it can be used to get a headstart.
Spine chill is 100% better against stealth killers before you could at least look away now it goes off even if you don't have a TR.
-
@Nirgendwohin said:
It's also interesting how fellow survivors exactly can tell when a stealth killer is approaching even he is not visible yet.
But i'm pretty sure that the same amount of cheaters is playing killer.
Looking forward to the upcoming changes.
Its just more noticeable for survivors because there's 4 per match so the chances are about 4x more you'll see a cheating survivor than a killer.

If they are perfectly guessing every time then that's an auto DH for sure. Crazy how often I see it.
I actually caught someone using it the other day on accident I made a stupid swing while David was on the other side of a small wall and he DH. I was like oh really.

After all these updates I think 3 perks on the killer side need heavy nerfs. Those being overcharge, eruption, and save the best for last.
Overcharge in my opinion needs a cooldown. The fact you can continuously use it every time you kick a Gen is a bit much. Especially close to finishing the game a killer can just keep guarding it and kicking it and there’s nothing survivors can do.
Eruption on the other hand needs a longer cooldown, paired with overcharge it’s a devastating combo.
Finally is save the best for last. With the nerf to survivor distance after taking a hit and buffing killer hit cooldown, this perk has become way too oppressive. It feels like 10 stacks instead of 8 and with all the nerfs is honestly a bit too much. Either change the numbers to not be so drastic or give survivors back their distance after taking a hit. Or remove the killer cooldown after hit if survivors don’t gain much distance.
Ad of late these perks have been some of the strongest in the game, so I think tweaking them a bit would be good. What are your guys thoughts?
Eruption is just a bad designed perk with incapacitated.
Over charge starts at 75% base regression
To clear up regression 400% regression is equal to 100% survivor regression so it takes forever to actually be effective.
STBFL I'd only effective on killers with m2s that damage survivors so they don't lose all there stacks downing the obsession. I seen someone say they were using it on clown and pinhead meaning your still losing stacks by downing survivors. Sure they can partially migrate it but clown has to hit the bottles or lose a bunch of stacks and if pinhead uses his iri to do damage he loses almost all his anti loop with the chains because it takes some chains and increases the cooldown.

@GrimoireWeiss said:
The problem with this is that you would completely screw over ranged killers who have to adapt to the usual survivor MS, even if they are faster as well. Same thing for stuff like Demo's Shred, Pig's Dash, etc. You'd have to basically rework almost every killer in the game. Imo shrinking maps is the way to go.
See I didn't even think about those. I agree that shrinking the maps would be the best course of action but BHVR refuses to do it or takes a million years to do 1 or 2 maps.
-
@Crowman said:
The thing is increasing base ms by 5 has a much larger impact at loops and a minor impact of traversal.
Like 110 and 115 killers don't have significant difference when it comes getting from 1 side of the map to the other, but the impact of being a 110 and 115 at some tiles in the game is huge.
But the survivor would also be moving faster as well so you will go around the loop faster but with the same distance between the survivor and killer.

Do you find the man in the sunglasses and leather jacket who spits one liners with his cartoon deathray villain voice scary? Sure he's from a horror franchise but he is not a horror character in of himself. And horror as a theme is something that should be maintained.
All of that said, I don't care if something is "out of place" or not. It's all good fun. I legit want a Scooby-Doo tie in (not a chapter really, just cosmetics. Although a chapter would be cool, if maybe too extreme of a level of silly even for DBD)
He's a highly trained super human that has murdered many many people. Sounds like a horror character to me. Trickster is still a mass murderer. We have killers like Trapper,huntress , even nurse that are human looking and almost every way. Wesker isn't really that out of place.

Please check the win/loss ratio of both sides and balance it accordingly . I find it hard to believe killers are underpowered when every single game I go into as a red/purple rank survivor accompanied by other red and purple rank survivors, the killers just stomp survivors every single game. Constantly I find that people die or get left on the hook still. Not to mention all of the bugs survivors have to deal with that mess up the loop.
Wait your still playing with the rank system? You should update your game we've been using mmr for awhile now. Good survivors have everything they need in game without even equipping perks. Most maps have plenty if not to many safe loops that the killer has to break the down pallet or lose the game getting a hit. Most the killers in game are still very underpowered. Go ahead and play a decent team as an m1 killer on Mos farm maps or the game. Bad map design and gen spread still hurts killers more then anything else in game.
I just had a match yesterday day were I started leveling Felix and got in game and realized I had no perks equipped. We 4 man outed with 3 hooks total.

wanna know why, BECAUSE EVERY GAME IN HIGH MMR IS SWF
every game. EVERY SINGLE ONE THEM, and all with borderline 2k 3k hours on dbd
like seriously what type of game am i suppose to play when i don't even get the chance, no wonder nurse is being spammed, seriously can u play a single game without 4 gen regression perks?
im sorry but im gonna start tunneling too, yes im casual but to wait 4 mins just to face swf every time is really not worth playing nicely, and yes just because i play casually doesn't mean i don't wanna win (something this community will NEVER understand)
MMR was probably the worst idea to ever grace dbd, mmr works for pvp games with balance things, this game is far from balanced AND ITS 4 V 1 yes i wanna play against a bit of competent survivors but to get punished for playing GOOD is something beyond my understanding
wanna know the worst part, TTVS are actually streaming with their cheater friends...yes i've seen it im not gonna name any because i already reported them (no answer so far) but seriously we reached the point of people streaming cheaters and not getting banned, that's something i've never seen
and honestly soloQ players are just the victims of this, swf is seriously seriously a giant problem in this game and when people say just limit it only duo
yOu gOnNa pUnIsH PlAyErS FoR HaViNg fRiEnDs?
so u enjoy going against a nurse and getting camped and tunneled every game? (clearly not since everyone is complaining about it)
i've always played nicely since i started playing this game, always saying that survivors need to play the game too, but honestly, what's the point, yes they are playing the game but what's the point of letting them play if they are just gonna end the game in 5 mins and go wait for 10 seconds in queue while i wait another 4 mins
you know i always enjoy high mmr in games, but honestly in dbd i think im just gonna sit in the corner of a map and lower it just so i can try new builds without getting stressed to hell
PS : keep the "skill issue" or "git gud" or some dumb opinion to yourself, ty
Just curious what time your play. I'm on NA west and during normal hours I get normal matches but if I play after 10 pm it's a bunch of swf and everyothet match seems to have a ttv in it.

They're similar in the situations where the player says to themselves, "That's BS". When I got downed while healthy against Wesker on Midwich, that's what came to mind. Situations like that accumulate in multiplayer games. I haven't been playing DBD much lately. I played today. Wesker's power doesn't draw me back in.
Not even. If I'm playing a fighting game and the character has a shotgun for a special move that aims at the head does that mean that shotgun should one shot? No because that would be stupid and make no sense in the context of the game. There is also multiple action shooters where you can unload multiple shotgun rounds to a players face and not kill them. What works in one style of game doesn't work in all of them.

That's what got us here, yes. The equivalent of a body shot with a shotgun in an FPS should not down a survivor. That's Wesker's power.
Thus shows how little you know about DBD because its not a FPS it's a hockey simulator.
But seriously trying to compare dbd to a fps they are completely different games and one has nothing to do with the balance of the other or the way it should work. One is either everyone vs everyone or even teams dbd is a 4v1.

You have to use the spray. And he still gets aura-reading which leads to a one-shot ability.
Killer instinct is different then aura reading it gives you a general direction that's it. Plus if you use the spray your not infected which means your not one shot. If he's getting to you before you can spray stop spraying inside his huge TR.
Out of all the wesker games I've played and vs I've never been 1 shot and I've gotten about 2.

And it's just as easy to counter.
-
@Alcuin said:
There's not a shooter game that this can be compared to. Either they don't allow for one-shot downs, including snipers, or they require enough skill to justify a one-shot down. With DBD, if a ranged attack requires skill, it receives complaints. Huntress can't have realistic hitboxes because too many would complain. She's gotta keep he beachballs. Same thing with Wesker. His hitbox is too difficult, it has to be fixed. Why doesn't this include a nerf to balance his now easy-to-use power, i.e. Why does he still have a one-shot ability?
"Use the spray". And get rid of his aura-reading, yes. If a killer has a one-shot ability, get rid of that killer's ability to read auras. This includes Bubba, Billy, Myers, Ghostface, etc.
Because getting one shot is totally on the survivors. 12 uses of spray is enough to never get one shot and finish the game. There are extreme cases where the game will go past that point but in all my wesker games it's never happened. He's not even fully ranged he can't hit over obstacles.

You just ignored what he said. If both sides slowdown/speedup get nerfed then there will be less reliance and more variation without too much change in the equivalent power. It causes bad killers to beat survivors way above their pay grade and vice versa.
Gen regression doesn't really work that way anymore. Any of the decent slow takes game sense and some skil to use. Sure you can run aroundkick every gens but your going to lose the game. Scourge hooks you need to get a down which is a skill play.

I hate how she plays without addons, but with addons she completely reverses and becomes a completely different character, all those cooldown/speedup addons should be combined into an iri because they completely change her playstyle, maybe with a drawback to them I'd enjoy facing her more, her kit would be completely gutted though so she'll have to remain as a killer I begrudgingly tolerate.
Her cooldown and speed up change them by fractions of a second. Her base full wind-up time is 3 second with both addons it becomes 2.4 and cooldown I the same it goes from 2 to 1.6. The only real switch up I'd the bandages and why would you want to play m1 huntress with no hatches.
-
@WeakestNurseMain said:
I hate playing as her.
I hate playing against.
I don't think there's enough rotten things I can say about her than expresses how much I hate her, the only aspect I enjoy of her even remotely is facing a cross-map Huntress, it's fun and tense when you see all your teammates losing health states constantly, but facing Huntress's that good is extremely rare, and more often than not you see them stacking slowdown and doing the hatchet + M1 combo for every down. I don't think there's a single other killer that makes me want to give up more than her, I'd take 10 Alch Ring, Blighted Crow, four slowdown Blights over her any day, just dreadfully boring to verse, and stupid hard to play as against teams who know how to do gens.
I should slap you for the disrespect to my girl. But seriously that's to bad I love going against her dodging huntress hatches is one of my fav thing to do in game. Most huntress stack slowdown because she's good in chase but has problems with map pressure especially with her speed. Even when I run full aura perks survivors will just blow threw gens and I'm not a great console huntress but I'm pretty decent. So if your not really good with a killer you have to stack slowdown or the game ends before you even have a chance to try and figure out the powe.

Yeah. I honestly don't give a fig about losing slugging for pressure, because I never relied on it (it's one of the reasons I hate playing Twins - I'm a simple woman, I want to put you on the hook ASAP), but slugging is necessary as a counter to aggressive survivor play. This change is genuinely a straight buff to SWF by making SWF-only strats nearly impossible to counter.
Not just swf if a teamate goes down close to me at a pallet I just have to run out in the open and now the killer has to chase me leaving the downed survivor to pick themselves up or go for the pick up and get stunned. Its the same if I bring a flashlight.
-
@Tobe said:
Almost all balance problems in this game arise from the gap between SWF and Solo Queue.
This mori patch will serve as a huge buff for SWF. The killer has literally no countermeasures against Sabotage, who communicates via Discord when a survivor was downed under the palette.
I think the maximum number of SWF should be reduced to two, or additional benefits or compensation should be given to Killers who deal with SWF.
Sure and we can just shut down the dbd servers because it would kill the game. Not only would almost everyone that plays in a swf would leave plus you would just be slapping the general survivor playerbase in the face and you would kill new people coming in because they can't play with there friends.
-
@Laluzi said:
Play with friends. Intentionally go down under a pallet, or bring flashlights and go down in an open area where the killer cannot face a wall. Profit.
These and sabo is what really worries me it's survivors forcing a situation where the killer is now in a lose lose with no counterplay other then the second survivor really messed up and goes down.

Survivors should not be ever ending up in that situation in the first place outside of horrendously misplaying or the Nurse literally cheating.
Nurse has the ability to move around the map at insane speeds with a little aura reading and exposed status effect there is very little if nothing a survivor can do to not go down.
Im a killer main and I enjoy a little nurse sometimes but exposed status effects are completely broken on her and should only proc on m1s.

All survivors need to be downed within 45s of the first downed. 3-4 people should not be even getting close to a 45s down in the first place. And even if they somehow misplayed to the point they did, all they need to do to undo it is get up and hide somewhere else until others get back up too.
At that point she doesn't even need starstruck and how far can you really get against a nurse injured?
