โbut survivors had chests!!!1!2!โ - Green_sliche
lol.
lmaooo not the green keys and maps winning survivor games ๐คฃ. People forgets how the removal of perks was a free tunnel / camp without being able to counter it. ๐
-
I've been playing this mode a lot swapping roles each match (I've tried all killers) and while I had fun on both, I must say killer is the one who shines by a mile.
Survivor role is quite bland and they need to make it feel fresh, right now (as someone in another post said) doesn't matter if there are 8 survivors or 800, feels the same. I wish they removed generators and made a brand new objective or reworked them entirely to be more fun because the game itself is the same without perks variety (after all, unlike killers, survivors are just skins)
Also, why medic doesn't have "we'll make it" healing speed? Feels so useless.
Im not gonna lie, I went back to 1v4 for survivor. Bhvr should give survivor iridescent shards ๐ (jk)
-
I've played 3 matches as Billy (queues are horrendous) and I personally don't mind the speed limiter base kit, you can still help your teammate.
Trapper was EXTREMELY bugged for me, when I picked up some traps, they remained on the ground and sometimes when placing a trap while carrying many, they all disappeared from the inventory (was using Naughty Bear skin, in case it has something to do with the glitch)
-
SM, Clown, Nurse, Trapper and Hag.
I have yet to find a fun match against them whether I lose or win.

I mean, even as a survivor main I would not entirely be against this. Early game is pretty crucial for killer and slowing it down even a small bit can be a massive help.
I would rather this than any more literal regression perks like Jolt or Pain Res, as I find getting a gen I am working on constantly regressed absolutely infuriating at times and I would ultimately like to see far less of this rage inducing mechanic. Doing a tedious task like gen repairs over and over on the same gen is not my idea of fun
Unfortunately they would still bring those perks + free base kit corrupt.

Ive seen a lot of discourse on if Lara fits in dbd or not. I think she does. Some elements of the Tomb Raider 2013 game are definitely horror related.
Yes, Tomb Raider is not horror 100% yet is not a stranger to this genre either. There's plenty of horror elements in the franchise. The original ones specially are well known for enemies that jump out of nowhere and lots of unsetting places (the end of Tomb Raider 1, the antarctic in 3 is 100% horror or the swamp in Chronicles).
Treasure hunter stories go well with horror even if they are not focused on it. (I'd love "The Mummy")
-
Probably busy complaining about Vecna, and they'll swap to Dracula in a couple of months ๐
-
Let killers leave through the exit gates (or something alike) once all gens are done and let survivors stay till the end game colapse ends in case they want to do extra objectives for challenges or whatever
By that time the match is already over and is not like giving up mid match. I don't want to camp or get kills by hitting ppl unhooking, just let me move to the next match, thanks.
-
Dont know what's the point of these posts, is not like BHVR is going to care anyway. They'll stick to the licenses they can get / already have in the works.
-
Yes please, I'm having lots of fun as both roles. I agree ๐ฏ % about add-ons/items and I would even remove map offerings.
Please BHVR, keep this mode ๐ is the closest thing to a casual mode.
-
Can we let them test the mode first? I think as a first step this is great, monitoring those 5 killers (+ their roles) will be easier than the whole thirty whatever.
They already said they'll introduce more killers in future versions, but let's see how ppl enjoy the mode first. And the good thing is that you're not forced to play it.
-
Im really excited because we could get non human survivors with plenty of cool cosmetics + the killer could have some pretty interesting powers coming from a fantasy world.
Cant wait to see the map also :D
I like Stranger things but Im not a fan of having more than one chapter per franchise, RE was enough for me. I'm ok with more legendary cosmetics tho.
-
-
I'd keep it the way it is or maybe give the endurance to both survivors. But as others have stated, BU+FtP shouldn't even exist.
-
Such a pity waiting all this time for the Twins rework and almost everything is reverted. Couldn't they find a middle ground between live twins and their PTB version?
Like letting Victor latch onto downed survivors as an OPTION while giving Charlotte haste for a couple of seconds.

So the killer giving hatch a nice thing to some. But when do you the person reading this thing by the way hi. Give hatch? Is it just when you feel like it or are there a few rule sets you have when giving hatch.
For me it's when someone got screwed over by their teammates sandbagging or blocking them in a corner so they can't move. Basically they experience terrible matchmaking so I give them hatch to be nice.
Of course this feeling has also been slightly broken as a few bad experiences mainly with the killer giving me hatch which ended with them closing it in my face and then hooking me reason why I don't trust people who drop you near hatch and don't back away.
But you nice viewer what makes you give that Dwight,Meg...that one guy named John over there hatch.
Always except for challenges or toxic behavior

Getting increasingly irritated with this game for 2 main reasons; first and foremost, it feels like the survivors are constantly having their hand help the whole time because they seem to complain about everything. Events have led to the BT basekit change, anti-camping, the recent 3 gen change to limit how much you can regress gens...what have killers gotten AS A WHOLE?!? Not talking 1 or 2 killers being buffed here and there. Second thing I hate is how survivors don't seem to know what the word KILLER means!!! I don't care how I have to kill you, whether that's tunneling, proxy camping, camping at end game, etc. my goal and the point of me playing killer, is to KILL YOU by any means...by the amount of people I get messaging after the game or popping into my stream to tell me how "trash I am at the game..." it seems the community and Behavior as a whole have forgotten that ๐
If you want to kill them by ANY MEANS then they have the right to ask for tools to at least try to fight those means.
-
Hitting someone on hook twice should stun the killer for 10 seconds.
Crouching twice near an exit gate, should block it for this person for 10 seconds.
Now coming back to reality, just ignore them, if there's ppl still alive, the killer is wasting their time; and if you are the last survivor, just do something else, the match won't last long at least. Killers letting you bleed out for no reason is more annoying imo and should be addressed.
-
I see these posts with evey recently released killer. Can't wait for the anniversary to see the reasons why the next killer is going to be a D ๐

Sometimes I wonder how this perk still exists. Getting 4 kills after 5 generators are completed when you only had one, a single hook beforehand, is not healthy. Most times, it encourages toxic behavior. If you get wrecked by survivors in a game, you can learn from it, and your mmr should reflect it and put you in a match that is more fair that you can use to improve, but (sometimes) with NOED, these killers use it to win and increase their mmr, and as they move up, the perk becomes the only thing they use to win. They become dependent on it, and it isn't fun. It isn't healthy.
NOED encourages toxic gameplay in endgame because "I downed all of the survivors who gen-rushed me and looped me well." It affects matchmaking more than just the killer's side, too. Those survivors that the killer wrecked with NOED, they're going to be going against killers with lower mmr, as well as teammates with lower mmr, creating a matchmaking hell for other survivors and killers. Of course, this is mainly talking about survivors who Solo Queue, who aren't as coordinated and will have a lot more trouble dealing with a surprise NOED than a swf.
I'm going to say it once again, as it's been said many, many, many times before. NOED is a crutch, and the little nerf it received, has not fixed its issues.
I don't see why dowing survivors during endgame is toxic. But I agree ๐ฏ about killers rising their MMR when they should not because of a perk.
And good luck if the totem spawns next to the downed/hooked person, this person can say GG next even if it was their first down/hook xD
That said, downing 4 ppl with it doesn't seem very common for what I've seen, no? The only endgame perk I use is No way Out and sometimes Terminus.
-
If you don't feel like spending money right now, don't do it. Alan will always be there ( and of not, they'll give you time before removing it xD) so you're not in a hurry.
I'd save that money for the next chapter that includes a new survivor and killer + their respective cosmetics.
Don't spend money if you're not sure, I also LOVE Alan Wake games and personally i dont use him much in dbd xD
-
Good, ppl who can't play much also have the right to get rewards without turning the game into a job.
For those more dedicated to the game, I think prestiges should give better rewards.
-
I only let killers hit me at exit gates if they are already there, if they aren't and my teammates no longer need help, I leave. As killer o also appreciate when survivors just leave, but if I'm already at the exit gates and they want to give me those extra hits, I won't say no lol.
Overall I think is better to just leave and not waste ppl's time.
-
I think if you want to be nice/fair, is for those survivors who are also nice, so you all can have fun. Never expect to be treated nicely by toxic ppl since they will alway have an excuse to act as such.
I don't tunnel/camp and I found many survivors who are nice during endgame chat or giving me their items instead of tbagging and stuff like that whether they escape or die.
I think you should play however you prefer. Also, there's no need to be nice to ppl who are clearly being annoying on purpose. Just don't punish the next group of survivors because of what the previous one did.

Who of the remaining, MAJOR Licenses is the Licensed DLC you crave, the one you've been anticipating for a while, and would satisfy you're wants, to be a part of the Hall of Horrors...?
IT - Pennywise (The Fear), Bill Denbrough, Beverley Marsh and The Derry Sewers.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/DKYT5QWA4FX5/image.png
Candyman - The Candyman, voice by Tony Todd. And as an option, Helen Lyle as a Survivor, or a Legendary Set for Meg. Based on the first movie.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/IZFA0R0PTQF0/image.png
Friday The 13th - No questions asked; Jason Voorhees (The Slasher), Tommy Jarvis and Camp Crystal Lake, baby. Based anywhere between the 2nd and maybe 7th sequels; whichever's the most canon and won't end in a lAWsUiT... With the exception of FvJ Jason, cause I think he looks the most Jason out of all of them, in my opinion.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/TIUDGHMO23V0/image.png
Five Nights At Freddy's - The community has been wetting their bedsheets for long enough, waiting on this; William "Springtrap" Afton (The Attraction), Michael Afton (Mike Schmidt), and Fazbear's Fright. That's THE Chapter people really want. Otherwise, they'd probably be fine with just Springtrap and a couple other animatronics as skins, like Freddy or Foxy...
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/AMBP9G74G7PK/image.png
PREDATOR - Simple, and to the point; The Predator as the Killer. But, if they wanna go further, then maybe add Naru, and/or Alan "Dutch" Schaefer as a Survivor, with a proper Jungle map. All referencing the very first movie, and Hulu's 'PREY' prequel.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/3TBCDUDCH6I5/image.png
PHANTASM - The Tall Man, Mike Pearson and The Morningside Cemetary with the secret lab.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/V8GQMPBOVIS8/image.png
The 9th Circle - ART The Clown (The Terrifier); just him, unless you'd also like to include Sienna Shaw from 'Terrifier 2' as a Survivor, with maybe the Halloween Party or Carnival as the Map. Other than that, ART would probably work better as a Paragraph, though, I'd be okay with him having his own chapter.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/OTCD3EK3FI7T/image.png
The Walking Dead - As long as they obtain the rights from Robert Kirkman/Skybound Inc., it probably wouldn't matter if what it's based on. We could have Daryl AND Clementine, alongside Rick Grimes, Carl, Glenn, Lee, Kenny, Michonne and Negan... If they were to only base it on the show, I'd say Rick, Daryl and Negan, with either Alexandria or The Prison as the map. Seems simple enough. Otherwise, I'd probably throw in Clementine in place of Daryl. Any of your favorite characters could come in, really, as long as it sales.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/YHIBYKUQ4N9K/image.png
BioShock - Mr. Bubbles ("The Big Daddy" or "The Bouncer), Elizebeth Comstock, and Rapture as the map. With The Big Sister as a Legendary Set for Skull Merchant. Along with Booker DeWitt, and maybe Jack from the first game, both as Legendary Sets for Elizabeth.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/KL3GRPH1AKHR/image.png
OTHER - This can be any major franchise you've always wanted to see IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER. This includes;
A Nightmare On Elm Street (OG Robert Englund Edition), ALAN WAKE, Alone In The Dark, American Psycho, AMNESIA, Army of Darkness,
Batman, Bate's Motel, Bloodborne BloodRayne, Buffy The Vampire Slayer,
Carrie, Chainsaw Man, Clock Tower, Call of Cthulhu, Castelvania, Condemned: Criminal Origins, Creep Show, Cujo

Zombieland.
etc, etc... If there's any I missed... Whoops. But at the very least, I think I got most of them. I think...
Any who... thanks for reading!
Personally I prefer original chapters, and we got way too many licenses back to back.
BUT since this is about licenses, I'd say Jason since I think this horror hall of fame feels incomplete without him. (I'd love The Thing and IT tho)

Can we add a force bleed out option between the last two survivors if the killer is slugging for a 4k. I get people want to win and what not but Iโd rather not have my time wasted and move onto my next match because some sweaty killer absolutely needs the 4k and doesnโt want to risk a hatch escapeโฆ
At this point, if killers really NEED that 4k because hatch is unfair, requires 0 skill or their families have being kidnapped and their lives depend on that 4k...can we have a give up button that let us move to the next match while we are replaced by a bot?? So they can still have that absolutely necessary 4k?
That would let them play like now but at least ppl wouldn't have to wait 3 years while bleeding out.

Pretty much everyone I know who plays DBD has at least one P100 survivor but the funny thing I notice is most end up rarely playing their main once they P100.
The reason is they either get dodged constantly when playing with other P100 friends, or they get tunnelled hard by killers who see them as a trophy.
I would rather get all my characters to at least P10 (most already are) than do this, anyone else avoiding the P100 thing?
I'm not interested in prestiges on either side other than P3 for perks, and I already have all survivors/killers at 3 so I couldn't care less.
- They offer nothing, other than a number.
- Ppl tend to think high P = Skill and I've seen ppl mocking high P during endgame chat for not performing as their number would suggest.
- If you are survivor, you're gonna be lobby dodged as crazy and in some instances, there are killers that feel the urge to tunnel this person to prove something I guess lol.

@Atom7k said:
Alltough they add new content regularly and the new chapter looks amazing, it didn't even took 5 matches for it to feel stale and boring again.
Why is that you may ask? Well let's look at the current situation. A new player join's dbd he get's maybe 5 starter games before mmr screws him over and sells him out to a killer with more experience then the whole team has. They get stomped into the ground and made fun of in the endgame chat.
I've seen it, I've even tested it with a new account. It's just so disgusting.
If that was your first impression of the game when you started you probably would've put it aside too. Eventually after 2 weeks you even forget about the game alltogether and never play it again. That's what happened to a lot of my friends when I tried to bring them into dbd. It wasn't even my presence that made the match mmr bad for new players. They played on their own more then with me but the experience was the same.
So dbd can attract new players but can't really keep them. This means a constant decrease of players over time.
Now onto the current situation for veteran players. I don't really know how we ended up here but currently I blame streamers partially for it. Popular players like Otz and others made a whole marketing strategy to sell tunneling as a strategy to the average person. Tunneling is normal in competitive dbd but has never been as present in normal dbd as it is today. It was so normalized that people don't even feel bad about it anymore when they made bad decisions the whole match and then "won back the game" by tunneling and camping. That is not what the entity wants according to lore.
People are proud of themself when they won a match against solo-q survivors by tunneling and camping. When has it come this far. It's just sad
So currently active players are beyond annoyed as they have to face killers tunneling at 5 gen's almost every game now. It's tiring, boring and draining. All killer feels the same because they are played the same way with almost similar builds.
So players take a break for a weak, come back to find out it's still the same, go on another break for a month, nothing changes, they are gone for years or even for good.
This game will have a rapid end if the matchmaking is not improved and tunneling is put to an end.
I'm pretty sure the new player experience ain't fun either for new killers being paired against experienced survivors that will make the game as stressful as possible and still BM them after clearly seeing it's a new player. So its bad for both sides.
Other than that, I agree. I stopped playing survivor for now because it's always the same stuff and tunneling right from the start is getting old, even more at my MMR where i don't see gens poping like crazy.
Besides, we really need more new game modes (permanent pls) because as u say, even if there are new characters/maps, there is so much you can do till it gets repetitive again. I wouldnt mind sacrificing a chapter per year in favor of new modes/big qol improvements.
-
To me it would be definately Ash, i know he says stuff in lobby, but i think he deserves the same treatment as Nicholas Cage.
-
As solo survivor, what I'd like to see is:
- A basekit weaker version of kindred that shows only the aura of your teammates even if for a few seconds, just to know who is closer to the hooked person.
- Some kind of indicator for perks like power struggle or head on, so teammates/you can act according to those perks.
- Maybe a way to tell teammates when someone is going for Pinhead's box.
Most of the time, what makes soloQ horrendous is human behavior and you can't fix that tho...like teammates unhooking you in front of a tunneling killer, even with kindred.

I just want to echo the sentiment that the teasers for this killer are really good. Leaning into the internet creepypasta aspect is doing wonders for it, especially that recent JP DBD Twitter video. Uncanny valley vibes where it obviously looks fake, but has a similar vibe as internet horror stuff. Good stuff, BHVR.
I just hope the killer lives up to the hype.
I'm really enjoying all these teasers and I'm very excited. I hope it can mimic survivors in some way!
I love licenses, but I still prefer original chapters because we know nothing about them and are more mysterious. Also they are more likely to get skins + being able to buy them with shards. And deeper lore.
Most of my fav killers are original like Oni, Dredge and Singularity ๐ฌ
-
Personally I love Dramaturgy and Kindred. Those are almost always in my builds. Being useful to the team while hooked feels good and I love the randomness of Dramaturgy ๐ฌ
-
I rather see those being entirely removed, just accept the map you get like everyone else.
"But what if I need it for an achievement?" Well then you hope for that map to be selected by the game, because it seems everyone needs achievements in the maps more convenient for them ๐

She has 70% kill-rate. And dcs are not even included, probably she is even higher with them.
It's obvious, survivors are refusing to play against her. I doubt she is that strong, it's just survivors don't want to play against her.
And this brings us to this question: Do you think BHVR is fine with her and just gonna ignore that or she will get another big update? What do you think?
Skull merchant matches are pure sci-fi, all drones and bots ๐
I'm not sure if ppl refuse to play against her or if her toolkit is really problematic, specially for newer players since she has a lot of stuff that may be hard to understand at first.
Either way, she is too strong and/or hated so much that ppl refuse to play against her. So she needs to be looked at. What worries me is that all that time is gonna be invested in her again after already getting a rework while characters like Myers and Freddy also deserve to be updated and they have been waiting for a longer time.
I'm sure she's gonna be changed again but again, I don't know if developers will prioritize other killers first.

Exactly. It doesn't make sense. I wish it stayed like this permanently, but that we still can play with randoms. Cause idk if we can do that in custom games? I don't have friends playing DBD
Same, my friends don't play DBD and is not on custom games. I don't mind having it available for customs, but I want to play it with randoms๐
Hopefully they'll reconsider, because even if they add new modifiers, I like the dark setting.
-
I don't understand why it has to be removed other than updating it. It's in a different queue so those who don't want to play it will still be able to play the game normally?
It would be nice keeping it for those of us who want a change from core game here and there
-
- That I miss darker maps more than I thought
- I enjoyed stealth killers as never before
- Many times when I drop a chase because I go for jumpscares, survivors end up running into me again ๐คฃ
- How fun this game can be when we don't sweat
- I suck at tracking players, can't play without my "discordance" and "Nowhere to hide" ๐ญ (jk, it's been super fun)
- Not being able to see hook states somehow made me less stressful?
- Not worrying about perks and items is a blessing, I can't stand flashlights as either role because they tend to throw the game and I don't like it.
- How thankful survivors are when they get a killer that doesn't tunnel/proxy camp. I know there are salty ppl on both sides no matter what, but I am very happy because I mostly got nice endgame chats whether I lost or won due to my chill nature as killer.
- Survivors love being scared more than I thought LMAO
I haven't played as survivor because I already know what's gonna happen and I'm burned out of that role, so I can't give feedback.

No more waking up against Freddy, that is all this perk needs.
Poor Freddy being specifically affected by this perk + being left out of "Lights out" lol. When i saw the killer roster for the first time during the modifier, i thought of you xD
But yes, if adrenaline doesn't rid survivors of Plague's, wesker's and Nemesis' infections + any other killer with some kind of status effect...i don't see why Freddy has to be punished further.
-
I'm loving it as stealth killers, i think is the dream of those of us who love jumpscaring ppl. The setting is great and maps like Lery's truly make dbd feel like a horror game.
It doesn't mean is perfect and im sure it could be improved, but knowing that it will be completely removed saddens me. I wish we could keep both queues, one for the core game and another one for modifiers that acts as a pool of future (+ lights out) modifiers where you get a random one each time.
Really want to see which modifiers we get in the future <3
-
Not sure if it's killing the game, but certanly has killed my willingness to play survivor for the time being. In the last week i haven't touched the game once as that role.
Things must be really out of control when i've seen some survivors thanking me during endgame chat for not tunneling xD
-
I'm sure is extremely unlikely since it's the remake one and it only has one movie.
Unless they added the original one and...yeah ๐ฉ

What other game modifiers would you all like to see in the future? Seems like the devs are looking into other limited time modifiers to implement (I'm assuming it'll all depend on how Lights Out does). I would personally like to see one where both survivors and killers load in without perks OR a random set of perks. Seems like a lot of players' frustrations now-a-days is due to both sides having meta playstyles that they each find unsavory.
The perk randomizer is my top pick and is already in-game via challenges. But I want it to be a feature that is always available and not a time limited modifier. I'd even add a killer randomizer ๐คฃ
For modifiers, I'd like to see that 2vs8 maybe perkless, I think it was implied that instead of hooks there would be something else which made me curious. It would be great testing it for a week to see how things go and would make killer role less stressful since you would have a teammate (a friend even).
-
DS should start a knight-like animation where the 4 survivors mori the killer. I'm sure killers would stop tunneling...i would like to see that animation as killer tho ๐ค๐คฃ
Jokes aside, i'm pretty sure is easier to buff DS than making 50 changes for alternatives that would affect other perks/mechanics.
-
Soloq is always miserable, i dont think is worse now lol. I feel like there are only 2 roles: SWF and Killer. SoloQ is...there, like bot matches, is a feature that doesn't represent a real match ๐คฃ
Personally i mainly play killer and my rule for survivor is: If in 3 matches i didn't have any fun, i just call it a day and play another day.
I have yet to play a 4th match ๐คฃ
+ Alan's perks dont help a bit, the 3 of them are so UNINTERESTING.
