Well, noed is also a mega crutch perk if you ask me. My point is that killers complain just as much as survivors.
For once, you are correct (about the complaining)
Which is a good sign the game is actually pretty close to balanced as both sides are complaining.
Only reason I consider nerfing Spirit as you aren't hearing a lot of of people call her underpowered - and that's a big red flag for me.

Its as simple as this, if 4 survivors are alive, and you are so afraid of them getting that last gen that you can't chase after them, then you are the on preventing them from playing the game. You are the one holding the game hostage, and you are the one that should be banned. We are on the other side of the map in open view, come get us and stop guarding the gens.
3 gen nest is in the hands of the survivors to prevent. All it takes is one or two survivors who know how to keep track of what's popped to prevent it.
If your team fails to prevent it, you got no right to complain when a killer decides to pitch a tent at the last three and wait you out.
-
So we can hear people whine "when are dedicated servers getting here?" when they've been off for less than a day?
-
It makes no difference if you heal yourself with SC or somebody else heals you. SC heal penalty is 50%. So you can either have two survivors off a generator for 16 seconds for a total of 32 seconds of lost manpower or one survivor doing it for 32 seconds by themselves. Either way, it's the same amount of time lost.

@FrenziedRoach Why are you being so aggressive. I asked for insight for a reason, not to be attacked.. do you know what insight means? Not every person on forums is being one-sided so please stop addressing me like that. I like to discuss with respect and understanding. If you can't agree to the terms of that then please don't quote me. I also solo so I'm just speaking off of what happens with my games in Purple Ranks.
You didn't ask for insight or reason, you stated straight up that you thought it was unfair to solo survivors and I posted my counterpoint then made a general remark about people being blind
if you felt I was attacking you personally, that's on you.
-
because this game is built around mechanics designed to suddenly screw your opponent over. I'm not sure why this is a surprise to anybody.

I'm just making up the 10 seconds. What I'm saying is that they are just waiting for them to unhook you so that they can come back and hit you instantly. Of course people shouldn't save you after 10 seconds.
Think of it like this: I'm playing billy on rotten fields. After hooking someone I just loop around the map with my chainsaw and waiting for them to save the person on the hook so that I can come back with my chainsaw and instantly down them again.
And if the billy is sniping hooks, you should be pressuring him to check generators.
FFS, do you want me to spoon-feed you everything?

@Unicorn said:
NOED is unfair when it comes to solo survivors. SWF is a different story, theres voice com 9 times out of 10 and they can keep track of how many totems have been cleansed.
We just need a totem tracker, let Killers and Survivors know how many dulls are left on the map. That'd possibly help a bit. (Idk if this would be balanced for SWF's, actually would like some insight when it comes to it.)
As one who solos 99% of his survivor games, I think you have a very distorted view of what's unfair.
FFS man, I see 2 or 3 totems WITHOUT LOOKING every damn match. Are people playing blindfolded or something? How hard is it to look around?

If you can't get kills without noed you are a bad killer :)
That's just a matter of opinion, no matter how much you try to declare it as fact.
I can very easily with just as much evidence state that if you can't get all the totems down, you're a terrible survivor who doesn't deserve an escape.
Who's right? Neither - game only understands rank up or rank down. It doesn't care how you achieve it.
-
NOED indeed rewards failure.... it rewards the killer for the failures of the survivors who didn't do all the bones.
Yes, I too can word play.
let's be honest why people hate NOED - it's a "turn the tables" perk that shifts the momentum of the game. So many perks and addins in this game shift the momentum of the game, I wonder why people even bother complaining about them. As far as I'm concerned, if you don't like things that shift momentum or turn the tables on you, you're playing the wrong game because this game seems to be built on a foundation of mechanics that are designed specifically to cock-block your opponant.
NOED is just one in a long list of things that do this - and it's completely counterable.
People just need to do that counter and get the hell over it.

The hide and seek aspect is basically dead in this game. It isn't really viable in red ranks imo. The maps are way too bright, killers have tons of aura and tracking perks. You also basically need to get in chases to rank up.
Not viable to you, but I'm making it work for me.
It's only dead because your choose to make it dead.

They mean like "Is she using her power? Or just faking it? Is she vaulting or not" Stuff like that are just a coin-flip.
For the first couple loops, yes.
But after that, you establish a pattern of behavior and start working around it.

I am rank 1 and people still camp. There is no outranking them. They leave the hook for like 10 seconds and then they immediately come back to hit you the second you get off the hook. They camp in a different way at rank 1, thats the only difference. They usually win this way because they wait for people to save then hit you and hook you again. They also usually slug you so ds is useless.
The game should punish killers for camping more, without survivors needing to run perks. It is actually sad that I have to run ds every match.
If the killer is coming back to the hook the moment you rescue, perhaps you're not waiting long enough.
I mean, 10 seconds isn't that far away to begin with, and you got 60 of them per hook stage. You expect a killer to walk 10 steps away and NOT turn around if there's a quick unhook?
We're not bots, we're thinking human beings.
Hmm... I can go after the guy I see 20 meters ahead of t-bagging and clicking a flashlight behind a pallet, or I can turn around to the 2 targets (one wounded) 10 meters behind me. Which is the more intelligent choice, do you think?
I think I'm more annoyed you guys think we should act in an unintelligent manner for your "fun". It's kinda insulting when you think about it.

To be honest NOED is pretty annoying to go against and all of theses killer mains saying to cleanse the totems don’t understand that if you only search for totems your not getting any gens done. You could accidentally forget about how many totems are left. you can’t find a totem. And then sometimes you actually cleanse all of them just to find out that the killer doesn’t have Noed and you just wasted a game.
There's 5 totems, there's 4 survivors
If every survivors made it their mission to do one totem (and it's not like you have to look hard for them, I usually see 2 or 3 every game WITHOUT looking), you'd at most ever have to do 2.
It's free bloodpoints, and it's free Lightbringer points.
There is literally no excuse not to do them other than you have no confidence in yourself or your team to get the gens done anyway if you waste less than 30 seconds of time to do 2 totems.
Because not cleansing totems says that to me - it tells me you have no confidence that your team will finish the gens.
-
I think the only people that have an issue are those who don't understand what we mean by a "mind game".
I get the impression that most people play the mind games only superficially. In anotherwords, they look at the situation as it is now and don't look at what happened at the past several loops to establish a pattern of behavior. So they can't see past the current loop they are struggling with.
You see this when you go up against bad nurses who keep falling for the double-back trick. These are the people who can't remember that the last dozen blinks you double back so you keep wasting their time. They're slaves to their flowchart-gaming and just go on automatic without engaging their brain until something finally switches on in their head and they finally try a short blink expecting the double back.
I feel like a majority of the survivor playerbase fell into this flowchart gaming as it's been mindless to survive for so long. They never had to "Switch on" and adapt themselves accordingly.
Those who really get into the mind game are remembering the last several loops they ran against their opponants and looking for a pattern they can adapt to and and exploit for an opening. The experts are thinking even further, they're anticipating where the next loop is and planning their routes.
I'm not saying there isn't certain things about her that aren't problematic (Collision during Spirit Beads for sure is stupid... and it's debatable she even needs player collision when phasing to be any good if she can hear you while phased). But to absolutely refuse to adapt and at least try new things to go up against her is absolutely unacceptable to me.
-
Because I haven't got around to him yet and I like to play the characters in the order they released.
I stopped playing the game regularly around the time Legion dropped, so I got a lot of catching up to do. Especially now that I play both sides.
-
What is with today's generation of gamers that they want everything done for them and they can't adapt?
So much of this game is literally "turn the tables" mechanics that shift the momentum of the game. If you don't like NOED, you're literally in the wrong game.
FFS, there's for survivors and it takes less than 20 seconds to cleanse ONE totem each.
If every survivor would just cleanse a totem each, you'd see NOED come into play a lot less.
But again, adaption is hard, right?
Flippin' kids these days... GET OFF MY LAWN!
-
These threads are tiresome, no matter if it's the killer or survivor posting them.
Yes, we get it. Lots of people are not very self-aware.
-
Bond should not be universal, same with Empathy
Kindred should be given to all new characters or freshly prestiged characters as a freebie.

Geez calm down
your poorly worded post was not specific.
But my point still stands. If they took suggestions on other things in the past, why won't they take more?
But whatever, I'm not the "calm" one here apparently

OMG, WEVE BEEN LIED TOO!
FFS, some of you guys are as bad as russian bots in your misinformation.
-
You are wrong in your statement of "absolutely nothing" has been done.
UI changes have been made and are contiunally being made to help bridge the information gap.
For example
- You know who the obsession is now (you didn't know this previously till they were dead.)
- You know when the obsession is being chased now by the moving talons.
- You get icons now when a Hex is discovered to be in play explaining which Hex it is (again, previously was not given this information)
All these UI changes they continue to make are mostly for the solo player - so they have this information on hand.
Can more be done? ABSOLUTELY!
But so say nothing has been done is misleading.
-
all offering should be secret, PERIOD.
anotherwords, you have no idea what's in play until you either reason it out or see the post game.

I cannot blame anyone for DCing vs Iri Head Huntress. I dont do that, but I cannot blame others for that. This Add On is pure Bullshit.
And yes, he plays both sides - you can now argue like him and say that you have objective facts or whatever, but in his Stream he is constantly complaining, while still getting 4Ks with weaker Killers. He is not watchable for me since the Emblem Chance, since it looks like putting more effort into the game to get to Rank 1 kills his mood.
Pretty much 90 percent of the Iri addons in this game are bullshit, your point?
And if you don't like him, don't watch him. But when you play both sides, you have to be willfully closing your eyes to not see how much more effort the killer puts out vs a survivor at the same level of play.

Because people can clearly know that he only has this one Hatchet and not any Perks.
Really tired of tru3s Videos and his Killer biased mentality.
I know right, it's so hard to just stick around and get a feel for what your facing before throwing in the towel the moment things hint they might be hard.
Tru3 play's both sides - he just recognizes how much less effort it takes to play survivor well than it does to play killer - like most of us who play both sides.
But I guess that doesn't fit into your own biased viewpoint, amiright?

I'd rather ghost a Killer then run away from one. I would feel prouder I was able to hide.
I'm just tired of people assuming that the chase is the only fun part of the game. They don't understand the allure that the whole "hide and seek" aspect has for us.
But then again, I've been a fan of stealth games since the day Thief:The Dark Project hit the shelves, so I'm as OG as they come when it comes to that style of play.
Which is pretty damn ironic given the killer I prefer deletes stealth from the game.
-
Wouldn't matter - people will still disconnect
There's a certain well-known streamer who did a perkless Huntress build and he armed the Iri head and ONLY the Iri Head.
He literally had 1 hatchet and no addins
Disconnects.... the disconnects just kept coming.
-
I've never pictured Nea, erm, I mean The Entity, as a collective. Just a single being.
-
Yah know, maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago I fell for a Camping Bubba at the killer shed for the first time in a very long time. To his credit, he didn't camp IN the basement, just around the corner near the god pallet.
When that tone played and I heard the chainsaw rev with the red light on me, I legit jumped out of my skin and panicked.
Near as I could tell thinking about it, he posted up between the god pallet and window on the outside. And the moment he heard my footsteps on the shed floor, he sprung his trap.
I wasn't mad at the killer though - I blamed myself as I knew something felt off about how the terror radius disappeared. I also didn't keep my head and run to the window instead of trying for the pallet he blocked.
Gave me a memorable moment in the game - and one of the few times a killer legit tricked me. Kudos to him.
Oh wait, I'm a survivor now - I guess I should call him trash and hope he and his family get cancer? I mean, that's what people typically do to me when I beat them, right?
XD

I'd love to have chase music unique to each Killer though.
A-freakin' men to that man.
-
I'll repeat what I said before in the suggestion forum - and I will repeat this till I'm blue in the face.
- UNLOCK ALL PERK SLOTS AT RANK 1!
- Start every Killer with their 3 signature perks AND Unleashed. Unleashed is supposedly meant for newbie killers anyway, but what guarantee will they get it in their bloodweb unless you give it to them outright?
- Start every Survivor character with their 3 signature perks AND Kindred. Camping is a issue in the newbie ranks, Kindred helps deal with that.
- Consider doing away with perk levels entirely. We have now many perks in the game now? Not having to worry about perk levels will help the newbies catch up that much faster.
The above also helps newbies further as the default characters of Trapper and Dwight both start with good perks that hold their own.
I should just paste this to a notepad file and keep pasting it every time it comes up so it eventually sinks in...

Chases are the only enjoyable part of playing survivor. If chases get very short, no one will play survivor.
Speak for yourself - some of us get enjoyment out of ghosting a killer.
-
DS only hits tunnelers - that would only be true if DS deactivates itself after you hook somebody other than the last guy you hooked.
But no, 1 minutes feels like a long time in DBD, as evidenced by the number of people who act like a 2 minute camp is somehow the end of the world.
I ain't denying that toxic people exist on both sides of this game. But what I want to know is why you jokers continue to feed these trolls with threads like this? Devs aren't going to do anything - and most of us who play killer and have more than a couple brain cells to rub together won't camp unless there is a compelling to tactical reason to do so.
This has been a daily occurring subject for THREE FLIPPIN' YEARS now. What makes you think this post is gonna change anything?
-
This is nothing new - survivors have done this crap to troll the killer since day one.
Frankly, I'm of the opinion the killer should have the option to go ahead and trigger the end Game Collapse after 20 minutes ticks off in the game. That'll at least force the game into a close.
People who don't want to deal with it can end the game honorably, and those of us like myself who enjoy the longer hunts can enjoy the challenge of tracking them down and feeding them to the entity. Win win either way.
-
blame the dipshits who used to exploit the old system to bully newbie killers. sucks to be you
-
Making the beads iri is a viable idea.

I think most people agree the gen grab guild is a bit bs.
Kinda like huntress with Iri hatchets and an ebony mori. I run some pretty bs builds, but even I won't go that far.

Technically Ace is the strongest survivor since he is the quietest.
Ace shares the same tier with Claudette. Smaller size and hides in shadows best for most maps.

Interesting - given half the killer perks reward keeping the obsession alive.

You're missing the point of the post. No one cares about counters or legitimacy. The entire point is that people who camp in the early game are boring as hell. End statement.
We don't care about punishing it by gen rushing and having other people escape. That doesn't make the match any more fun. The killer is still a boring person and made the match boring for everyone involved
And nobody cares you had a bad time. We've been going around and around about this for THREE ######### YEARS NOW
When are you people going to get through your thick skull that bitching about it just feeding the trolls, and feeding the camper is just encouraging the behavior further.
You know what? I don't find Hag fun, but i still man up and deal with it. I don't find being camped fun either - but I say nothing to the killer and direct my rage at the hook divers.
Direct your ire at those who enable the behavior, because jack ######### is going to be done about beyond what has already been done.
