Depends on the match I'm given. Did I get at least 16k bp, and there was no toxicity on either side (vault spam, clicky clicky, tunneling, face camping, etc), then sure. Was I gen rushed to high heaven and butt danced out the exit gate? O, my salt levels will spike. No gg for you.

16k bp, do you not run BBQ? Bad game for me is 40k bp on killer, normal is 50k-64k without offerings, or 200k-400k an hour depending on what offerings I burn and how long the matches take, averaging about 4 matches an hour.

  • I say gg and maybe have a conversation if they start talking about the match win or lose. i will gg ez toxic #########, but that is rare that I get that level of toxicity, its usually the swf 3 man body blocking with flashlights on first down that get that response.

  • The games ive played against the new ruin as a survivor, I didnt even notice. It is so rarely used now and makes no difference against high level survivors, if the totems not cleansed in the first 30 seconds someone else hops on the gen if a survivor gets pulled off. Even the when the gen gets fully regressed, its still stupid fast to hop on the gen and finish it with another survivor or solo.

Its primary use is location of survivors when used with surveillance, and only really useful on high mobility killers. If you have the high mobility basekit, PGTW and surveillance has been working out better overall for me as a killer. No one cleanses it the first 30 seconds of the game and its faster than ruin if you keep downing and hooking survivors and kicking the important gens, as survivors cant just tap the gen to stop that 25% regression.

  • No need to correct his grammar, you are not his primary school teacher.

So was there an answer to my question there? Are there any other perks that consistently do not work like Dead Hard? I actually thought of one, and its WGLF where you just don't get your stacks for it. Imagine if BBQ didn't work. Yikes. But I guess thanks for waxing poetic about how nice Dead Hard is when it does actually work?

BBQ doesnt work when you get 3 gens pop before first hook. You end up with 1 or 2 stacks. It doesnt work when survivors dc on first down. WGLF works on PC, you just have to make sure the survivor gets safe hook status, i usually make sure im running BT with WGLF for this reason and try to heal them.

For me with Dead Hard, ive never had it not work, its usually my error not the perks. Now DS is currently bugged and I have only had it stun the killer once today after a successful skill check.

  • Dead Hard works well on PC and it rewards skillful players. it is by far the one perk that I respect the survivors ability to time and execute properly. Anytime I get bested mid chase by a quality Dead Hard, im like damn well played. If anything more perks like Dead Hard is what the game needs, perks that reward skillful time and execution rather than ones that simply go off just for existing.

Sounds good. Decisive Strike and Borrowed time also have to go, for the same reason you just gave.

NOED is mostly a meme perk, you are betting on edc to secure your kills and your pips, and hoping its not cleasned or already gone. DS, Borrowed Time and Adrenaline are all abusable way past what NOED ever dreams of being. When you can 99 then tap, to turn 3 survivors from slugs to the Flash instantly, survivors are over here bitching about a meme perk.

I feel bad for baby kiillers, I went up against a rank 12 Trapper today, 99 a gen and tapd and everyone in the lobby just ran right on by him. He had a total of 1 hook and 2 down, 3.5 gens down before he even got his first hit on a survivor on Mothers. No one even bothered to heal during the match, no one had toolboxes or prove thyself, and all solo queue. He had NOED, didnt help him a single bit, everyone was long gone. The only thing postivie about that match was the survivors were for once not ass hats to the killer in end game chat, no "#########", gg ez, baby kiiller, etc..

Adrenaline is probably the only one that needs a straight nerf, where DS and Borrowed Time's interaction with other perks should be looked at, mostly on their potential for "abuse" rather than the anti-tunnel mechanis they were designed for.

So in the case I'm speaking of the killers were losing. So losing is not fun...so when you're losing you quit. That's the attitude of champions right there.

You can lose and still have fun, and i dont consider 2k'ing or 1k'ing necessary losing with the right conditions. Playing Freddy against an swf running one or more copies of OoO is not fun. Ill dodge that lobby every time. 3 gens done by the time it takes a 4.4 m/s killer to cross the map and to get to the first survivor on a hook, bye Felicia,

  • @TWiXT said:

On a more serious note, I honestly don't see why any killers would DC. Just existing/playing as a killer in a match these days seems to encourage survivors DC'ing so frequently, that you can hardly call this a multiplayer game at this point. I mean come on, they all have items in your lobby, you at least still have the option to lobby dodge, so if you're not gonna take on the challenge, why waste time and BP in a match at all? It's a silly privileged only killers have, but that belies the problem I personally have with DC'ing in general:

There's something I've never understood about DC mentality... if you spend a good 5+ minutes getting BP and playing the game, why even DC at that point when all it does is get you closer to a ban, and lose your progress? Seriously how petty or entitled do you have to be to DC on your first pallet stun, First gen done without a down, First down, or Failed DS attempt?

If you're not gonna be a good sport about it and play the game through until the end, no matter how it turns out, then why even bother playing a "MULTIPLAYER" game at all?

Sigh... Here's hoping the DC ban system gets updated soon. I've dealt with a year of this crap, and I probably should've just stopped playing after 3 months of it, but like an idiot I held on to hope that the devs would actually do something about it. Unfortunately that "Hope" I had for them died last August, was briefly rekindled before the Oni update, and we haven't had a solid statement about it since. I just want to play the game the way I used to play it: without expecting some asshat DC'ing on my team, or on their first hit/down as killer; and thus ruining the experience for everyone else.

These days, about half of my games has someone DC, but I never do it, regardless of what role I play... I'm not that petty, nor do I want to contribute to the only thing that is both ruining this game, and forcing me to "not recommend it to friends".

Because if im not having fun, im not going to play. I dont owe anyone in game my time.

  • I can't blame Killers or Survivors for DC'ing anymore. The game is in a bad spot atm.

  • @Divinitye9 said:

If you lose three gens in the opening minute of a match, I am questioning what it is exactly that you are doing during that time.

Yes I have lost a gen, on rare occasions two, but three? I would have to have been AFK for that to happen.

Large map with bad spawns of players and generators combined with low mobility killers. It happens alot. You see it playing killer and playing survivor.

  • You don't, Past 6 matches against ranks 1 & 2's, 3 gens pop in the first few minutes. No toolboxes, just prove thyselfs.

  • Still wont do #########, rank 1 and 2s are still popping 3 gens before the first hook without toolboxes, just running prove thyself.

  • Nah ######### that, they can fix other ######### first.

  • @YourBoyTroy said:

All I see is BBQ and Chili on every killer, putting it as a hex would make it fair for survivors and killers.

Nice bait. That right there would kill their game.

  • Wont solve anything. You have players that pick up games in a day to a week and can perform at a high level and you have players that could play 3k hours and still be utter trash.

it isnt, it provides a 60 second safety blanket for that survivor to do whatever they want.

Its just meant to not tunnel, a good rework would be that it lasts even longer but you are only allowed to move around, heal yourself or be healed.

Any other action, like healing someone else or doing a gen, results in DS turning off.

That still alows them to eat a hit, protection block, or bait just as effectively as it does now.

I’m not a huge fan of the aura reading on, assuming you mean the Bloody Glove, since it denies blood orbs and basically just becomes slightly longer range nurse’s calling but doesn’t allow you to get your ability off of it.

It really good when you have everyone bleeding and are mind gaming loops. But I only run it with the purple extra blood orbs.

  • @Peanits said:

That's a very creative way to interpret it, but that was not what was said at all. We mentioned the usage rate in response to a question asking about survivor perks that shared the same usage rate (there are none, barring Self Care). We also mentioned looking into the more abusive side of Decisive Strike right after.

Thats because they have a variety of perks that will serve similar function and potency.

  • Speed and charge rate, or the aura reading and blood orbs.

  • Lmao, 3 games in today, first one i dodge for OoO and the next 2 are survivors dodging the Game and Hawkins maps. Yeah, ill dodge the ######### out of matches i dont want to play.

  • @Waffleyumboy said:

I don't lobby dodge, survivors wait long enough.

They can wait longer. I get dc's way more frequently then I dc so, survivors can keep waiting. BHVR needs to fix their game if they want queues to go down.

  • 1st match of the day SWF with OoO, i dodged that right as the toxic ######### waves me over.

  • @Peanits said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1028568#Comment_1028568

Nope, we are well aware of grab issues. The context post you quoted is in response to someone telling me that grabs aren't working and somehow that means that they get DS'd.

No, it was just expanding on the topic of bugs and the meta with current state of the game i.e. #########.

  • @Peanits said:

The point being that the game doesn't end when those first two generators off. Defending a tight cluster of generators is going to make your job way easier as the game goes on. Wasting your time going way out of your way to defend that single generator in the corner all by itself will usually backfire.

I'd suggest at least giving it a try first. I use that strategy myself quite a few times and it's very effective.

Only against potatoes, SWF know how to counter 3 gen strats. Survivors 3 gen themselves, otherwise they make sure to complete 1 or 2 gens in your 3 gen area.

  • They are meme perks outside of very specific builds

  • @Peanits said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1028516#Comment_1028516

    Again, you've changed the topic.

I'm going to drop it here, but I will have you know that I regularly play both sides in red ranks. I wouldn't suggest anything that I wouldn't do myself.

That might just be the problem and im about to the same with this game.

  • @Peanits said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1028500#Comment_1028500

I feel as though you're looking for reasons to be mad without actually refuting what I'm saying, but surely if you're having issues grabbing them, this would be even less of an issue for you. You don't get DS'd if you down them and slug them.

I have no issue grabbing them, the issue is grabbing them then the animation canceling half way through the grab. Yesterday i had a grab animation cancel as im walking away with the body and the survivor running away, while i have a ping of 50.

You keep offering game advice that is completely oblivious of the meta at higher ranks and/or is blatantly survivor sided. But I digress, you know because killers are getting a Cruel Limits buff.

Oh and lets buff Cruel Limits to allow killer to complete one gen for the survivors so i can run a Bubba build while wearing Claudettes face and help complete gens for immersed game play.

  • @Peanits said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1028490#Comment_1028490

Sounds like he should have lunged at you instead of grabbing you.

Although I'd also point to this: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1028432/#Comment_1028432

That would solve a situation like that.

Who goes for a grab when the dedicated server make grabs so inconsistent its used as a bait mechanic.

  • @avilmask said:

When everybody will get adjusted enough to her changes devs will look at statistics and tune her in a way it's required, if they conclude that it's necessary. In previous stream (prior last one) they said they're satisfied with how she performs and have no plans in changing anything any time soon.

You see thats the problem. With ######### the devs are pulling new players specifically killer mains wont stick this game for the time required to learn the nurse. If they do stick with the game they are more likely to play survivor, hence all the survivor bias the devs have been showing.

  • @InsideOut said:

The Killer situation is NOT THAT BAD.....

But it surely isn't good. People play games to have fun, when the fun is reduced or removed entirely, people stop playing.

Just look at how many Nurse matches you see. Very few even though the Nurse is still a very viable Killer, the fun factor was removed from her, and the end result was seeing WAY WAY less Nurse games. Which I guess keeps survivors happy, so we are on par with BHVR M.O.

I was playing survivor or the first time in a month for the archive as a baby ace with only his luck skill and plunders and got a few nurse matches. Without any skills, those matches were ridiculously easy to bully the nurse. Her fatigue and cool down punish the killer so severely for any mistake they make, that a baby survivor with meme perks can bully a nurse for 3+ gens.

  • Its honestly starting to feel like the devs really dont play this game or they play it at rank 15 tryhard survivor. Mechanics and alternative uses of perks on both survivor and killer are evident with very little in game time at higher ranks.

  • @Peanits said:

I've got nothing against NOED, personally. I view it a lot like DS. It takes a bad game and makes it better, and if you're already having a good game, you don't need it.

NOED takes a game where people don't bother with totems and only focus on generators and punishes them for it. If they do the totems, that's extra time for you and you probably won't need it anyway.

DS takes a game where the killer tunnels you and makes it better (gives you another shot). If they don't tunnel you, you don't really have anything to worry about.

In both cases, you can work around it and never see it.

    Spoiler Spoiler Warning ▲ ▼

Before anyone says it, no, I'm not saying 'these perks are equal', I'm just saying that they both have the same effect of making a bad match better while not getting used in a good match.

The #########, DS not getting used in a "good" match. DS can and is used in higher ranks as a means to save another player. It is rarely used in a means as an actual anti tunnel mechanic at red ranks. Every killer at higher ranks expects DS if there is an obsession in the game and slugs for 60s if they downed a recently hooked survivor that just tried to protection block or bait.

Noed is only active when all gens are finished and i all the totems have not been cleansed. At higher ranks, totems get cleansed. So is a gamble if it will ever be there when the gens are done. DS can be intentionally activated. They are no were near the same at making a bad game better.

I would honestly use it with NOED and Blood Warden for the memes lol. I mean it would be a terrible build but at least the pain wouldn't last long

Run it on Bubba so you could put on a survivor mask for immersed gameplay.

  • You all keep complaining about BT in dreamworld, when OoO works from 0m on Freddy, which the devs have stated as intended. Now thats some bullshit.

  • Cruel limits now allows you to complete one generator for the survivors as the killer.

Ive been playing this game awhile and ive only seen a bug that made someone stuck once. And it was only a few minutes because you know, EGC

Ive been stuck inside a pallet from teleporting as a Hag. Only got out because someone tripped another trap in range a minute or so later.

  • if they ban the dc'ers, they wont have anyone left to play their game.

  • @asergioam said:

I got one AFK wraith yesterday, but tought he was just afk and not just letting the computer farm for him. Didn't know they would earn xp while in cloak mode all game. That might become a problem to the game!

Nah fam, BHVR's new AI killer testing.

  • Roblox is looking pretty good right about now.

  • @wladimiiir said:

Why dodge? Just go to eat, drink, use toilet, watch some video or something and let them have their 3 minute "fun".

Probably because at least one of them is running OoO, and as Freddy if you are not running a Blindness block and snares you will not be able to mindgame the player(s) running OoO at all. They also get to find a new lobby without their 3 min of fun.

  • No, it can be fun and has addicting moments to it, but how the devs are handling balancing, patches, and bugs its not something id recommend new players without warning them.

If I had purchased this game post 3.5.0 as a new player, I would have discarded it already.
