    Still though:

    • Exposed
    • Blindness
    • Mangled
    • Haemorrhage
    • Oblivious
    • Broken

Do not reset on the hook. Why exhaustion?

It was a balance change that happened years ago. I remember reading the patch notes about it when it came out, though it was so long ago I'm not sure what version of the game it was..

  • Probably due to the fact that Generators are a core part of the game and it would be unfair to give killers no opportunity to defend them. Sabotaging hooks is extremely niche with very little reward, so those who go out to sabo event hooks are more than likely doing so just to be a prick.

Not all survivors did this, but a small amount was enough to make Bhvr do something about it seems.

  • @Boss said:

Might just be that they mean it might bug out on some Killers, can't confirm that though.

I can't believe this didn't occur to me. Perhaps I assumed that the wording would more clearly state that it means that game bugs might happen, rather than being so cryptic about it.

I dont know man, besides the awful frames I have been having a lot of fun with Pyramid Boy, survivors gain gain an extremely small amount of distance compared to before when you hit them with RoJ, equivalent to 5 stacks of STBFL if my math is correct. I have been ending chases extremely fast thanks to this. If you are missing your RoJ thats on you and your lack of skill with him.

The only difference between old and new PH is that you cant zone brainlessly, and that you get more rewarded for outplaying survivors in guessing games. I consider this an overall buff.

The point I'm trying to make is that the zone is still something you can do, the change didn't do anything really to mitigate this, other than not allowing it to be as mindless. Meanwhile he feels clunky to play, and while yes he did get a buff in his cooldown, I don't agree that it was the correct buff to give him. It lets Pyramid head spam his power so much that I guarantee that it will be what survivors complain about next.

  • I'm keen on the idea Otzdarva had for Mori's:

After hooking EVERY survivor at least once, you may kill a survivor by your hand.

This stops the offerings being absolutely game changing, as the killer needs to get 4 alternative downs to force somebody out of the game. If one or two survivors manages to evade the killer for a significant amount of time then it's possible nobody gets Mori'ed all match.

I don't realistically see the devs removing Mori offerings completely, but this would feel like a compromise to keep survivors happy while avoiding anger from killer's. I don't care how they nerf it though, since I rarely use these offerings myself.

  • It depends on how safe you can be and the state of the game. If you are on your last hook and the match will be over for you when you get caught, then use what ever resource you can to survive.

If you are the first guy being chased and haven't been injured then it's not recommended to drop god pallet. Only time I would do it early is to pallet save somebody since that makes the killers whole chase pressure reset to nothing.

  • If this was to affect solo players as well that would feel really unfair, as you don't control who your teammates decide to play with. Remember in the statistics most SWF are around 2 or 3 players on average, so it would be fairly common to have a solo or two paired with a SWF group.

  • I'm grateful for all the people who have posted here; a lot of good ideas being shared and passed around.

It seems unfortunate that the general consensus is still what I expected; you have very little agency in a chase against Spirit, so either don't get found in the first place or try to rush gens. However some advice here I've taken to heart and even if they help me last 10 seconds longer than usually that's already more than I can ask for.

I'm gonna start playing Spirit a bit more frequently now, it really is the best way to learn what works and what doesn't. I actually have a tip of my own to share that might help against her: The sounds of your injured cries gets reduced while you are crouching. Now I don't know if this counters Stridor if you are running Iron Will, but I noticed this earlier this month after the patch and it has helped me in general to stay hidden against all killers while injured.

Again thanks for all the advice, even if I hate facing Spirit, I won't improve if I don't try.

Excelsword deserves and is getting an apology. I was rude and condescending. Even last night, when I was tilted by the disconnect issue and lacking sleep, I quickly realized the post was over the top. Reading it this morning I am deeply embarrassed by the snottiness of my posts. When someone asks for help here, they should get it. Excelsword, for what it is worth, this heartfelt.

I already regretted what I threw back at you when I woke up this morning, I wasn't too kind as well. As a mostly solo I also hate when my teammates give up in my matches, so to not show the same respect myself is hypocritical and I deeply regret it.

I'm sorry for being cold towards you; you did try to throw some tips my way, which is all I was asking for.

  • My new favorite perk for survivor is easily Detectives Hunch pretty much the ultimate anti-killer meta perk.

It is the pure counter to Undying/Ruin, as well as any other hex somebody might bring. The range on it is bonkers, and you can basically find every totem no matter how hidden they are. It helps immensely in stopping NOED as well, as you can pretty much guarantee you find all 5 totems easy.

It also reveals gens and chests, which is niche but helps a lot on indoor maps and finding 3 gens to prevent the killer protecting. Easy heals for Inner Strength. Did I mention that it also permanently reveals items if you have a map with the right addon?

This perk is absolutely insane right now, especially with how hexes have become meta again for killers. I love it so much.

Watch her idle animation carefully. If it resets, then she’s phasing. It surprised the hell out of me when I first saw it.

As for the tunneling, that’s more on the Killer player than the actual Killer. Did your teammates at least finish the rest of the gens and escape?

Is this confirmed? and even so if a Spirit knew about this what stops them from just tapping the power button and faking this if they think the survivor is looking for this? I already fake my power sometimes when I see people try to blind me to check if I'm faking by phasing on the spot.

And yeah that's the risk I take if I play solo survivor it seems, hoping my teammates do generators.

  • I decided to play a match as spirit after many months without playing her and even I slaughtered this team being so rusty, and I let the last one go. 2 of them even had iron will, and while it threw me off at first once I knew they had it I just listened to their footfalls as well as just standing still and seeing how they react before phasing for real. I wasn't even using Stridor myself, but if I was what on earth could they do other than rush gens?

True has made a video in which he explains how you can counter Spirit. It works quite well, even without Iron Will/Stridor.

The other advice I can give you is play her. Play her for a longer time. That will give you a better understanding about the mindset a Spirit is going to have and you will also encounter survivors who will show you some possible ways of countering or confusing you.

But in the end it's like versing a strong Nurse. You can be lucky with outsmarting the killer but it will probably not work for a long time. Which isn't really a problem considering you can easily win against a Spirit, or any other strong killer, by just gen rushing. This depends on your team though. If you have decent survivors on your team it doesn't matter if the Spirit downs you in under 10 second. You can still win.

This is how you offer advice without being condescending, thank you. I was thinking I'll just pick her up again and play with stridor, so that I can try and see what any survivors can do to throw me off. With a good headset though it doesn't matter, when I played her months ago frequently I could follow the sound of people's footfalls even with Iron Will, have no idea how you would "mindgame" that. Maybe sound bugs that are in the game recently will change this.

And I'm happy to eat crow and accept your word, although it still boggles my mind. I already posted you a link which will take you to some excellent videos which can explain her far better than I can in text. I've watched most of these myself. For what it is worth, my own experience against the Spirit is you Mind Game her. That's it. She is going to rush around the board invisible in her weird flying pseudo-teleportation going where she thinks people will be. Your problem is No Mither (which is crap). You make noise because you are injured. For the record, although all Spirits CAN take Stridor, not all of them do. You have to get an idea where the Generators are and be aware she is going to run patterns, patrolling them in hopes of popping out thin air for a quick hit.

Diversions are useful. Noisy teammates are even more helpful. Since you play Killer, put that knowledge to use. If you would respond to something, assume that is where she is going.

"boggles the mind" Well then if you are such a god at this game why don't you explain how you "Mind game" her,? I bought into Scottjund's claim that she is uncounterable; that's why I just accepted I would die against her every time I faced her without really trying. I made this post to see if anyone besides the big names has something to help. Apparently you have found a way to "mindgame" her that isn't just taking a random guess, feel free to share it with us?

Clearly you can last at least a minute against Spirit the way you talk. How silly I must be, having so many hours and still not lasting longer than 20 seconds against one.

Hrm. I'm torn. Look, there are only two alternatives here and neither of them is good. I think:

    1. You are lying about your nearly 1800 hours.
    2. Or, you are beyond help.

If you have that many hours invested in this game, you would not be asking for our help in this way. What you describe and how you say it makes me think you must be fairly new. If I'm right about that, why lie? There is no shame in being new and asking for help. I think, however, if you are telling truth things are far worse. I had a dog once and I paid money to have him trained by a professional because I couldn't do anything with him. The trainer refunded everything but the deposit and said, "some dogs can't be trained; your dog is one of those."

I'll go ahead an play the devil's advocate here. Just keep playing matches. Statistically you will get a match that doesn't have the Spirit in short order. I played something like twenty matches today and I didn't pull a single Spirit. With almost 1800 hours of experience, you should know that just going forward you will get a match without your nemesis.

My Xbox Gamer tag is ExcelSword13, on which I have around 1100 hours clocked. My Steam name is ExcelSword, on which I have 695 hours. Feel free to search me on either platform, instead of just coming along and completely dismissing my whole post. I decided to ask for help because I thought perhaps some people would show a sense of community and offer tips to help other improve.

I am pretty much a killer main; that is where most of my hours are logged. I actually played a whole lot of spirit for the first half a year after she was released, and then put her down because I thought she was too strong. I admit I am not the best survivor and I mostly play solo as one. Believe it or not some people actually do have a limit on their abilities to learn completely on their own, so instead of being elitist maybe offer some actual advice?

I only started encountering Spirits frequently when I switched to PC this March, and while I think I am decent at looping other killers, I always tended to just accept my fate against spirit after hearing so many people say she has no counter. But this isn't a healthy way of improving so I thought perhaps I would see if anyone has ANYTHING to help last longer against her.

One small flaw in your analysis is that every failure immediately reduces the hook timer and many players intentionally don’t attempt an escape to maximize their time in phase 1 to allow allies more opportunity for a rescue. You can’t attempt to escape three times in a row unless you do it relatively quickly after being hooked, if you wait and try to escape you’ll only get one or two chances before being knocked to stage 2 if you fail.

So the only survivors that actually potentially use all three chances to escape are the ones that either know their allies aren’t coming for a rescue (because they already escaped or died for instance) or that simply don’t care if they fail or, occasionally, because they have a perk or something that boosts their escape chances. Otherwise the most common scenario is the survivor doesn’t try to escape until possibly the end of stage 1 and only does it once.

I understand perfectly well that most survivors don't try to immediately escape. I was simply highlighting the fact that the odds of a survivor escaping and affecting your match as a killer is significantly higher then people realise. I already stated that the likely scenario for people to attempt this is when a game is pretty much unwinnable due to a killer managing to kill at least one or two survivors early, increasing the likelihood that at least one of the two remaining survivors will attempt to kobe.

The point of my post was to try to show that the odds of any survivor escaping is significantly higher than it appears to our human brains, simply due to how math works.

  • A lot of confirmation bias in this thread, as well as lack of understanding on how probability works.

People look at the "4%" and decide that is basically an impossible chance to escape. But its not. If a survivor tries to escape off the hook they get 3 chances, so the actual odds are calculated as:

1 - (0.96^3) = 11.5% rounded up, where 96% is the chance that a survivor does NOT unhook themselves. 11.5% still sounds really low to our human brains, but its actually around the same as 1 out of 9 chances, which is low but not unreasonably so. If I play around 20 games as killer and the last survivor tries to escape the hook, I could expect around 2-3 times they will actually succeed.

There is also the fact that this chance is only for ONE survivor escaping. But as a killer you face 4 survivors who can all attempt to kobe in a match, Now its unrealistic to assume that all survivors will try to pull themselves off the hook every game, so lets examine one of the more likely scenarios that at least one survivor would attempt this:

2 survivors are dead, 1 is on their first hook and the final one is getting chased. the hooked survivor attempts to escape and the last survivor might do the same if they get caught:

1 - (0.885^2) = 21.7%. That's the chance at least one of those survivors will escape the hook, around the same as 1 out 5, a little bit higher. So if I play say 40 games as a killer and end up in this situation where I'm about to win and get a 4K, I could expect at least around 8 - 9 times one survivor unhooks themselves and might get escape alive.

I think I've made my point pretty clear. Yes its annoying to lose a survivor due to what seems like pure luck, but keep in mind that you are more likely to encounter survivors attempting a kobe as a Killer in general, simply because there are more of them that can attempt it. The game isn't rigged, that's just how the laws of math work in our world.

  • This was a fun read. It would have been nicer if there was a larger sample size of women to draw from, but the results are still interesting.

What conclusions can we draw from this? If I had to take a guess I would say that perhaps a solo experience as killer is more appealing to women, whom are used to teammates treating them poorly due to their gender in other games? a shot in the dark I know since this game doesn't have voice chat natively but its something to think about.

  • Are you using M&K or a controller?

If you are using a keyboard, keep in mind that you don't need to mash the struggle key as fast as you can, as long as you are constant with your speed. No need to tire yourself out unnecessarily. Perhaps try using your mouse's scroll wheel. I find doing so more comfortable than tapping on my keyboard. Also some people have mice that lets them unlock their mouse scroll, if you happen to have one that's an idea.

If you are using a controller, I like remapping struggle to the D-Pad, but that's just a personal preference.

  • If you are purely mean their ability to stealth than Pig is the weakest. Wraith is much faster than her and less restricted compared to her crouch, and Ghostface has a much higher potential to down survivors with his stealth than Pig will.

But since stealth isn't the only part of her power she isn't hampered so much by it. She has good passive slowdown pressure with her traps and ambush can help her get downs at some loops. She really is a jack of all trades killer.

Honestly I would say Myers could contend for having the worst stealth, simply because out of T1 he isn't likely to get free hits as easily with a lower than average TR compared to having no TR at all. Popping T3 with M&B is effective, but if we are including M&B perhaps we should include killers like Hag or Deathslinger then for having low TRs.

  • The new Hercules skin is the first skin in years that added a new full beard for David. I had been rocking his default beard for so long simply because all his other heads look like crud to me.

  • The only issue I can see with the final survivor being forced to become the obsession is that Nemesis would give the killer wallhacks on them for 6 seconds. Since there doesn't seem to be any warning for remember me until the endgame, that could end up catching people in the open with little they can do about it.

Even if they hide in a locker, they would also be unable to hear the killer coming nearby for a minute. I like your idea and this interaction sounds fun for killer, but I'm not sure survivors would like it.

  • Unfortunately its the trade off to advertising yourself in-game, some people will take advantage. Personally I'll usually check out the vlog to see how the match was from the other perspective, but otherwise i dont go snooping till the match is over.

If you are worried about getting sniped while playing with a friend and you can't control it, perhaps ask him not to include TTV in his name. Afer the match is over he can ask people to check him out in the stream. I don't stream but I think you can also delay the stream by a minute or so so any snipers wont get any useful info other than perks.

  • I like Oni quite a bit, but his design as a killer disappoints me, because in many ways he is just a better version of Michael. A power that is much harder to counter as survivor and being much easier to reach than Michael's T3.

I guess what I'm saying is I really wish they would update Michael's power, his age is really starting to show.

It is problematic yes, but who runs OoO anyways.

And if they did, play them like every other survivor, or tunnel to death.

My first killer game as Demo today had a Object in it. While its lucky that you haven't met somebody with the perk for months, personal anecdotes are hardly reliable sources. There are many different regions of people around the world who play this game, and the metas for each are gonna vary at times. Oceania has a smaller player base, so more survivors here are likely to be SWF, even if its just a pair. Object is very strong with SWF, so Object seems a bit more popular down here as well.

maybe they not good but have a lot more advantage. Especially killers

Killers being stronger with M/KB is irrelevant to your skill as survivor, since this is an asymmetrical game. You have near the same potential as your fellow PC survivors to loop and do generators, but you have to actually learn how to be efficient now instead of getting free 360s.

I would if the 'PC Master Race' and their superiority complex was able to be turned off and I could just choose console crossplay. You can't beat the precision of a mouse with a controller, not to mention the disparity in FPS gives PC way too much of an advantage.

Keyboard and Mouse have little to nil effect for a survivor. If you wanna opt out as killer, fine. But you are not disadvantaged as a survivor with a controller.

    So this isn´t hacking?

And perma sprintboost for survivors are normal, so fast that they can overtake you across the map?

I have some hours on switch..... NEVER had this on switch.....

I have 5x more hours on PC than on Switch (and more than you) and when I quit PC dbd the hacking was nearly normal.... And I saw around the last 50h on PC between 10-20 hackers. I know it was getting better since then. Btw the killers I has in those 5 matches were all Rank 20-18. I think, that the hackers maybe made a new account only because of crossplay now. When I will play the next matches and see something like this happening, I will search their names on steam to proof that this are new accounts.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijd1xeATsMU

This is me playing on PS4 a year ago. Hackers are NOT exclusive to PC.

Since making the swap I have only encountered ONE other hacker, overall they are extremely rare nowadays.

  • @katsumodo47 said:

Why would I want to play against PC.

You have better frames per second

    You have cheaters on PC

You have nurses who can use M and K

No thanks I'll stick to playing on console on an even playing field

Hackers exist on other platforms as well, I have faced one on PS4. But they are overall rare these days, I have only faced 2 since switching to PC a year ago, including the one on PS4.

Your skill as a survivor is not affected by the Nurse with a mouse. PC survivors do not have an innate advantage that you as a console survivor lack. You ARE on the same footing as those survivors.

I admit that performance is terrible right now for consoles, and I won't blame you for opting out until this is fixed. But if it IS fixed and you have a stable framerate, please try opting back in. You as a survivor have the same potential as PC survivors to outplay killers.

I have video proof of the Bubba.

The Spirit had NOED, Franklin's, Ruin, and Stridor, yet she knew exactly where everyone was at all times. I'm not guaranteeing cheating, but it was suspicious. She also had the crossplay symbol.

How do you know those were PC players specifically? The crossplay icon doesn't specify it at all. You could have been paired against a switch Leatherface down in his actual basement with his modem in his kitchen. You also can still leave the lobby if the ping looks bad to you, the servers were a little wack for a while before today as well.

  • I'm a big fan of Tru3, and he is a good player overall, but yeah, no way he was getting more than draw at best. Playing a 'meh' killer like Wraith with a non meta build against a 4 man on a map with strong tiles, what would anyone expect?

Tru3 absolutely could have played better, but I think its fair to say he was starting to tilt a little bit after failing to commit to somebody after those gens pop. Wraith's hit and run playstyle is decent, but it relies on catching people off guard, very diificult against a SWF like this. If survivors play super safe with pallets and callouts like these guys, its rough for Bing Bong.

Main thing to take away from this is just the same thing that has been repeated verbatim, that SWF and the information is just too much for some killers in this game, especially stealth killers.

They will stand a chance but they will be at a disadvantage right now due to terrible FPS and occasional stuttering. That is why so many console players are asking for PS4 or Xbox one only matchmaking.

Yes, but that is a performance issue not a balance issue. If devs were to actually fix framerates like they rightfully should have done already, then I would hope console players would not feel disadvantaged grouping against PC players, and then the devs might decide to open up other PC exlusive features like graphical options and Keyboard support, like other games have done.

However if the devs were to cave in and separate PC from matchmaking before optimization, then nobody would even try to play with them,it would alienate the PC playerbase and remove most of the benefits for matchmaking and game health. That's why I'm fine if people don't want to opt in now, but letting people separate from PC players is not the way to do things. This game CAN run at 60fps on consoles, so the devs should be making it a priority.

  • I try not to change my playstyle too much, but I won't let people do stupid things expecting me to follow some honor code, and if they taunt me without DS than they have brass balls.

If I had to change DS I would make it so that the time goes down twice as fast working on objectives, healing, etc, and no obsession at the start. Using Decisive Strike will make you become the obsession however. This would help make sure killers respect DS in matches without it, while also not rewarding survivors for making risky plays with no fear.

I'm playing on the standard Xbox one and my survivor games especially used to be almost 60 FPS, hell sometimes 60 FPS. Now it is terrible, so clearly there is potential for this game to run good on the standard consoles also. Until that potential is achieved crossplay will be off for me personally.

Godspeed to you, I see no qualms with that. From what I heard the latest patch has hurt performance across the board, People should be able to play the game they paid for, regardless of platform. I'm trying to speak out to the crowd who think they wont stand a chance against PC players.

Actually if we want them to fix the game then turning OFF crossplay would be the way to go. Refuse to use the feature until they fix the game.

What platform are you on? I've played on both PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, framerate for survivors were more than adequate for me at the time. I mention this because if your reason is that its unfair for you as survivor, well you can already come across people using better hardware on your main platform anyway, so opting out isn't really avoiding the issue. Feel free to opt out anyway if it isn't manageable for you anyway.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

If you think the frame rate is "fine" for survivors on consoles you are delusional.

######### crossplay. Until DBD runs at a stable 60 FPS on Xbox I'm turning that ######### off.

Fair enough, I remember SB being notorious for Frame rate for many years. But if more people support crossplay, it will help the Devs see the disparity between platform performance more clearly, and hopefully make it more of a priority than it already should be. I'm mostly discussing balancing differences between platforms, of which I believe is either none to negligible for survivors. All platforms should the ability to PLAY their game, so I understand wholeheartedly if you don't want to opt in while this is not the case with optimisation.

It's not an attack, it's factual. There is literally nothing to complain about with survivor crossplay, so people make up reasons.

While I mostly agree with you, you attract more flies with honey than with vinegar. Insulting people doesn't help to convince them to play with us.

  • @Rin_is_my_waifu said:

Nope. There still are strech resolution abusers, hackers, that program who tells you the killer before a match, game file modifications and the list goes on.

Stretched res mostly disadvantages KILLERS, I'v already said that I think killers opting out is okay. But hackers already exist on both platforms, so you aren't completely safe. The devs have also more securely encrypted their files since the last patch to prevent that program exploit.

And it should be said that PS4 players could already tell who they were up against using PS4 party features, which I believe was patched but worth mentioning.

  • @Stinde said:

I tried it multiple matches as survivor and decided to opt out. Maybe will try again tomorrow. PC survivors are just kissing gens and letting you reach stage 2 or they sandbag you. Killers played like total ######### compared to console killers. Now I'm not saying you have to follow the survivor's rule book for killers, but camping, tunneling and slugging with 1 AFK survivor or at 5 gens is not exactly a good first impression.

I understand if you came across frustrating players, but keep in mind that toxic players exist on all platforms. In fact because of the massive playerbase, those toxic players may not have been PC, they could be any platform now.

Keep in mind rank reset just happened too, so your teammates skill will vary a lot anyway.

But if you are a survivor, please give it a shot. Nurses can still be outplayed with a controller, and Spirits exist on all platforms anyway. I know most people can adapt if they aren't afraid.

Why, what are you afraid of?

Explain your reasoning. are you not confident in your skills? Because no mouse and keyboard is going to change how you play survivor, unless you are just too used to killers being hampered on console. Last I checked looping a Wraith around a pallet doesn't require precise accuracy on your part, I actually prefer a controller for survivor BECAUSE I can wrap around loops smoother.

Just saying that when I encounter console players I know that game will be at least easier than against PC survivors.

And the games always are easier.

Whether you like it or not, there's a difference between console and PC.

Of course matches are going to be easier at the start. Rank reset just happened today, and the player base has QUADRUPLED in size. Console survivors will find it a shock that killers don't just whiff hits anymore, but over time they will adapt. I didn't magically become superior when I made the switch a while ago, and game sense is not a mechanical skill in the slightest..

    NO!!!!!

PC cheaters can play against their own. Also mouse & keyboard, better framerate is way too much of an advantage

I refuse to support cross play if PC is involved

I've come across hackers on PS4, just so you know. So that issue isn't exclusive to PC. For killer yes those two things are very discouraging, but seriously as a survivor you are NOT hampered as much aas you may think.

    PS4 player here

I'm ready to give it a go later after I'm released

You are awesome, this quote actually fits so well. Console survivors will have to relearn what they get away with, just like I did making the swap.

It’s the frames that make the difference. When you get hit with sloppy butcher and you lose frames and end up running into a wall just to go immediately down. Or when a skill check pops up and it skips 90% of it because it lost frames. That’s what makes the difference. Meanwhile the Pc players watch their skill check glide over like butter knife drenched with butter on toast. Controller has nothing to do with it.

You have a point, that's why this is an important milestone for the game. Going ahead with crossplay opens up more avenues for console players to get extra features, like graphical settings, M&KB support etc. That's why its important people support this going forward.

It will also help to highlight the glaring optimisation issues current consoles face right now, hopefully it will be moved up in Priority now that PC players are exposed to it indirectly.

Shhhhh... don't belive him. This is bait.

Thanks for contributing zero value to this discussion.

  • This is a great milestone for the games health. You are absolutely correct that it will help keep the game active, especially in regions less populated like Oceania. I'm so happy to have lightning fast matchmaking in NZ.

What people need to consider that is not just a mechanical (KB&M) advantage PC players have over consoles. Their version is far more optimized than console - a recent thread on FPS on consoles took 8 pages to get a Dev response so that they would just look at it.

They also have more tools to that give them an advantage in the game. Dowsey made a video a few months back - where you can enable spatial sounds (Windows Sonic) on windows 10 and gain a distinct advantage. Link below.

Then you have players who play on stretched resolution on PC to gain an advantage. Adetha's video below.

I am sure there are other tools that PC player may use. I am not against crossplay between consoles and PC - but they need to be on a near level playing field before you can do so.

It would be fair to have an option between consoles only available so that players can decide. Opting out of crossplay seems that your queue time may increase - as other console players may be matched instead with PC players (i.e. small matchmaking pool for platform only MM).

If you are on Xbox you can also have Dolby Atmos and Windows Sonic. Virtual Surround is not exclusive to PC. But the stretched res is technically an exploit, so it is frowned upon and viewed as a cheat, not a right for PC players.

  • I don't play on PS4 anymore but a tip I can give is try not to aim with the right stick, aim with the left. With plague you can wiggle your left stick while vomiting forward and it is more likely to blanket the area in front of you with your purge. Doing this also makes it easier to correct your aim slightly instead of with your right stick where you might jerk to far away with your sensitivity.

  • I'm a bit confused, can the Demogorgon ONLY travel to the upside down while carrying somebody on their shoulder? Or can they use the same portals that survivors use?

If he can't go back and forth between dimensions that would be kinda boring from the killer's side, it just seems like hooking somebody that you can't defend at all, in exchange for slightly inconveniencing survivors a bit longer than normal. If he COULD however that makes things more interesting, being more dangerous to survivors trying to rescue the bushed survivor, perhaps in return it can't hear or defend generators in the real world. The timer for survivors would have to be toned down while getting chased otherwise it would be Legion 2.0 where you will get bushed if Demo doesn't give up on you.

One other thing I would change is survivors still need to be able to wiggle. Otherwise Demogorgon could just grab somebody, travel to the Upside Down and then go AFK to grief people, which is boring for the killer too but we shouldn't give trolls tools to ruin people's day. Maybe just double the timer.

I really want the Upside Down to be implemented in some way for Demogorgon, it's not a weak killer but its power is kinda bland, Demo deserves having another dimension more than Freddy honestly. Though due to licensing sadly we are unlikely to ever get something like this in the near future.
