Remember me is useless and I believe I found fair solution to it.

Remember me should be buffed and here's my proposition how to make it balanced with endgame:

It can get up to 40 stacks. Every stack prolongs opening gate by one second.

Hitting obsession gives stacks. First 3/4/5 hits give 5 stacks, every further hit gives just 1 stacks.

Obsession is affected, but only one fourth of the penalty.

If there is only one survivor left in the game, he automatically becomes obsession.

What this acomplishes: with 6 hits, killer gets 18/22/26 seconds, which can be very slowly pumped up to 40 (Let's be honest here, it won't get even 30 in 99% of the games).

Obsession still opens gate very fast (max penalty is 10 seconds, but on average it will be like 4-5 seconds for the obsession), the perk is not super oppresive if it's hatch game, but still does something. Punishes taking protection hit's by obsession slightly (if you think that 40 stack treshold is op, go ahead and record normal game when you get 20 hits on the obsession... I will wait...).

So it's basically old remember me with interesting interaction and fair effect in hatch game (killer still has some use out of it, but it's not definite game over for survivor like Whispers are). Could create interesting combo with rancor, nemesis or survivor using OoO and Sole Survivor.

Edit: Of course every number can be tweaked, or be revered back to 30 seconds with just 6 stacks and that's it. Most important thing is this obsession interaction.

  • Remember Me's biggest drawback is not working on the obsession.

I think it would be perfectly balanced if it worked on the obsession as well - because you have to hit the obsession to gain additional time anyway, so it isn't like you could abuse it by hitting any survivor just for a free gate slow down.

It's only 16 seconds at Tier 3 anyway.

I don't think it needs to be changed in any other way, honestly. EGC needs reworked before it becomes a problem for Remember Me (such as my suggestions that EGC automatically trigger upon final generator completion without killer closing hatch or opening a gate and without Survivors being able to 99% a gate before triggering it; because that would automatically start the EGC timer to find hatch or open the gates and Remember Me could start being dangerous if paired with something like Blood Warden in a situation like that (but Blood Warden really is more of the problem there).

  • @arcnkd Well I don't agree with you on this one, but these are just opinions on both sides. Remember me, just as old Dying Light were the perks that made you scared of being the obsession, which made sense actually.

16 seconds is nothing for entire perk slot sadly, but it's slightly too much when there is only one person left, that's why I proposed the change, with this suggestion it's usefull as it used to be, but not opressive (yet still having small effect) when there is only one person left.

  • The only issue I can see with the final survivor being forced to become the obsession is that Nemesis would give the killer wallhacks on them for 6 seconds. Since there doesn't seem to be any warning for remember me until the endgame, that could end up catching people in the open with little they can do about it.

Even if they hide in a locker, they would also be unable to hear the killer coming nearby for a minute. I like your idea and this interaction sounds fun for killer, but I'm not sure survivors would like it.

  • Simpler solution for Remember Me: leave it at 4 seconds per token, increase max tokens to 4/5/6. Max 24 additional seconds for opening doors. Make it so the Obsession is not affected by Remember Me, and so the Obsession needs to continue being alive for Remember Me to be in effect. However, every time the Obsession touches the Exit Gate, it creates a notification for the Killer. This way, they either have to brute force the gate, giving even the slowest of Killers time to patrol both, or if they have the Obsession try to open it, the Killer immediately knows which gate they are on. This would make it one of the, if not the best Perk for guarding Gates, while not making it completely OP. Also, Wake Up and Leader are perks which heavily reduce the effectiveness of Remember Me, making it so both perks could see more use.
