Why are the blighted hooks not breakable but survivor gets nothing to counter this?

I have been told by random dbd players that it is because of people sabotaging to stop the killer from getting the event bloodpoints but why is there no bonus for survivors who want to do the blighted gens? It ruins the entire sabotage play style from being doable anywhere near blighted hooks.

    Probably due to the fact that Generators are a core part of the game and it would be unfair to give killers no opportunity to defend them. Sabotaging hooks is extremely niche with very little reward, so those who go out to sabo event hooks are more than likely doing so just to be a prick.

    Not all survivors did this, but a small amount was enough to make Bhvr do something about it seems.

    It dates back to the first event. Survivors would just sabo event hooks to prevent killers from getting coins and survivors would also bring in the best things that they could to pressure the generators to make sure they all got their coins.
