everyone's shirtless with a little imagination 👀
Hag and Demo shirtless even without imagination.
-
With all respect
- I do, I truly do. I even do gens minding breaking 3 gens or making last gens harder to patrol for killer. And it looks like my teammates do this too majority of time.
- I don't very often see people frolicking around this stuff, but it sometimes happen, not very harmful (maybe people do challenge to get at lest some value out of miserable matches). I clear dull totems to charge up IS, which is helpful unless "item 4".
- Literally never seen that unless it's the last gen almost done.
- That's questionable because camping is exploit and it almost always a guaranteed loss, so everyone do whatever they like (finish challenges or give regards to killer for fine and skillful gameplay)
In reality I don't see many potato clueless survivors, although I play survivor on low mmr, yet still everyone usually die, because this role is hard as it is, but 8 of 10 killers goes with strategy: feel any discomfort, start camp/tunnel and win. Discomfort usually come at the very start.

Really? Where are you hanging out? :P Then again I'm way past the out on a Saturday night age. Older timer here.
Same here, bro, just remembering crazy student times :)
Still, saturday nights still happen, they're just not as crazy anymore, all got families and "city miles" behind.

In general, in both roles I love when I play (e.g. fill all four emblems).
As a killer: bring complete havoc, being everywhere, control the game. They think I'm chasing another survivor? Surprise! Safe spot to heal? Nah-ah. No one feels safe and in control of situation.
As a survivor: outsmart killer, strategically turn game in our advantage (draw attention, provide decoy and misdirection, break 3 gen), live to powered gates, don't care if die afterwards. Chases not so much, still don't understand how to do chases consistently.

Because some kids are rotten with anger, entitlement and unwillingness to learn. I'm sure that this Nemesis will go camp someone on hook, slap on hook, slug to bleedout, etc, for childish revenge. And it will be like an excrement snowball, he'll get more hatred, he'll shittalk and scumplay more and more, begging to verily believe in "camp/tunnel is the only option", "us vs them" and other bullcrap.
I saw some survivors like that too, but killers - very often (but I'm playing on very low MMR as survivor, so all this "dredge" usually piling up in the bottom)
TL;DR it's the filth in person, not anything else
Another example: I'm terrible with Oni. Lik TERRIBLE. And I was playing on Coldwind farm too, tried to get Demon Dash downs, got maybe 1 or 2 hooks. In EGC survivors write "gg" and "I feel kinda sorry for killer..." and I replied "Why? I'm learning." They immediately switch into "BFF" mode, gave ton of advices, wished goodluck, godspeed and happy day.
-
Same on PC. It worked for some time (challenge to kick gens/pallets with 4 random perks) then stopped. So it's back to dark times when you had no challenge info.
-
Can you explain farming? Because I was accused of farming once.
I usually play to the point when I win, not when everyone is dead, i.e. all alive on hook and last one is down (or everyone alive are downed), they I let last one to wiggle out, uhook still breathing friends, finish gen and get out. Or find hatch if only one left.
Those who lived to this moment, usually very happy and gladly help finish some stupid grindy challenges/achivements (like break 9000 pallets or kick 100000 generators). Also I very often give "rescue mission" and "left for dead" achievements. And 90% of the time everyone is superhappy and saying nice things in EGC.
But once one survivor said that I'm farmer and held the game hostage and get reported (he didn't live to the end, though, maybe was just envious of his friends)
-
The thing I hate most about any challenges is that you HAVE TO play survivor.
As killer you are having fun, doing callenges and playing as you like. As survivor you start to hate humanity. And these events just make it more contrast.
I hope BHVR won't do mandatory psycological profile, because if they know that I didn't kick any kitty, glue any bubblegum to seats in a bus and piss on toilet floor, they will ban me from playing killer forever....
-
Ok, for those who struggling. It's mandatory to level up character you are going with and get "Terrormisu" offering. After that there is a chance blue column appear and you have to grab it. Without offering it doesn't work if you scout whole area by millimeter
-
@MarbleThrone said:
Invitations are on pillars that appear randomly in the trial. With a cake (Terrormisu) the auras of pillars are revealed from a 32 meter range, otherwise you need to be very close. Interacting with the pillar gives you the invitation.
I swear, I scout the whole map!
-
Why remove Ring Drawing? Add it to her basekit! Wait, wait, let me explain 😊
- Ring drawing is her basekit, but condemn applies gradually, like Wesker's/Plague's infections. If you fully healed survivor, you got 1/6 condemn. If you only touched him, you got 0.00001 condemn.
- Add Iri-tape as basekit. TV cooldown is atrocious. Imagine Dredge is blocked from area of lockers after teleport for a minute?
- Wesker can jump through windows, no one complains. Hux has built in Fire Up + Brutal Strength + overbuffed Spirit Fury, no one tells he is OP. Let Sadako go through windows and pallets when demanifested!
- Buff and make Newspaper her basekit, so she could have at least some mindgame chase mechanic.
- REMOVE BLOODY LULLABY from poor girl! Let this sound be played to survivor louder and louder when he getting close to be condemned.
-
Frankly, I had my fun. 👽️ Although he is super hard to control for me and I doubt I will play him very often (he is beyond my skills, like Blight and Oni, which I couldnt control either)
I'll copy from another post what I'd adjust:
- show which camera deactivated (for example in yellow; now it is yellow only after you accessed it)
- do something with disorientation (like very vast traversal toward it, dredge style, but very fast, 0.5 -1 second long , ideally with swerve into position)
- observation should be Myers-style, if you see part of survivor, you gain infection just slower; now it's completely random, you could see 2/3 of survivor and nothing happens
P.S.
Visuals of Hux and Map is outstanding. What BHVR can do, that's the visual design and models, hands down. I wish I live to the day when DbD moves to UE5.1
-
It's just a killer with complex mechanic that require dedication. But few things I'd adjust:
- show which camera deactivated (for example in yellow; now it is yellow only after you accessed it)
- do something with disorientation (like very vast traversal toward it, dredge style, but very fast, 0.5 -1 second long , ideally with swerve into position)
- observation should be Myers-style, if you see part of survivor, you gain infection just slower; now it's completely random, you could see 2/3 of survivor and nothing happens
-
I don't think he's D, looks like huge potential in him, but for me PERSONALLY he is F tier (but don't take this into account, Blight and Oni is F tier to me)
-
"Killers, they want us to be more skillful and obstruct our camping! What do we do?"
"We need to camp HARDER! Then they'll love it."
-
@saintjimmy456 said:
I think they like to make the challenges as varied as possible to keep them interesting, having each challenge available to complete as a killer and survivor limits that.
Also, I imagine the devs are happier when people play both survivor and killer, encouraging people to play more/spend more. If completing all challenges was important to a survivor main, they wouldn't have to play killer at all to achieve that, if they did what you suggest.
I understand their motive, but the thing is I'm not happier. Killer challenges are done super fast, but survivors are obnoxiously grindy, plus playing survivor bring be so much negative emotion, I start to question myself why I still play this game.
Who could have thought that "Perform cooperative action for 360 seconds" could take more than 20 games? And there is Ash challenge on horizon: take 3 protection hits in single match(!) and escape(!!!). You are joking, right? I forgon when I escaped last time.
And here killer ones: hook 4 survivors in basement. Lol. To match with Ash's challenge should be "4 survivors must be on a basement hook at the same time".
I'm oldschool, but I still belive that game should be fun in priority.
And yes, no one force me to do survivor challenges, but it's the only way to get rifts, otherwise I wouldn't touch them.
-
@DaddyMyers_Mori said:
Issue is that split challenges usually have way higher amounts needed than normal.
This whole 4th tome is really grindy...
Agree about grindy. I don't mind do twice as much, but just not with trash role.
-
Totally agree. Just detect why one survivor has 90% chase time and three hooks before everyone else and, ideally, punish it.
-
75% unfun? I could count with one hand how many survivor matches was fun out of hundred.
All games are goes by only three scenarios:
1) killer down, camp and tunnel single survivor from the beginning (at 5 hens)
2) killer play normally, but if there is a chance to lose, goes for camping/tunneling (at 2 gens)
3) killer try to tunnel survivor, but survivor is top-tier, so after couple minutes he just DC
-
@Nazzzak said:
I'm currently at 10% escape rate 🤣 two years ago my escape rate was around 40%, several months ago it was at around 30%, and now here I am. I'm glad others are having a better experience though.
I'm currently at 5% escape rate and looks like it's going to 1% (forgot when I escaped last time, probably got hatch in these few days)
The thing we are talking about that there are less survivors that are clueless, hiding in corners or lockers. But it doesn't help, though😀
Probably they overbuffed killers "a little" without removing exploits.
-
Yes, everyones know what they are doing. And much less campers/tunnelers in last few days (no more than 50%, sometimes even less). I don't know why such "remission stage" happend to DbD and how long it will last.
-
Lack of skill and reluctance to learn, so just gamble: to use cheesy lame playstyle and easy win, or be completely wrecked. 0 skill, 0 progression, 0 fun.
If less than 3 survivors and there are more than 1 gen left, it's almost impossible to lose as killer.
If wrecked, the foam comes from weak personality, because what other player will choose unskilled, unfun way to play, that doesn't work on strong players too. Can be compared with cheats, you can type IDDQD, but are you are playing the game after that?
-
Hope not. It's impossible to balance it now, how do you want it in 2v8? 2 killers just block 3 gens, or camping/tunneling to extreemes, or literal genrush.
-
They don't do gens (or do very slowly) because they are busy harassing you. Bully squads are the easiest opponents, they could bully all they want, but whats the point if game does not progress, time is on your side.
-
Lullaby is unnecessary.
Speed debuff while manifesting is unnecessary.
Short flickering time is unnecessary.
So huge TV cooldowns is unnecessary.
The ONLY killer whose items (tapes) are allowed to be carried with other items is unnecessary.
I still don't understand why devs hate (or fear) her so much. One said that it's because her win rate is off the charts. But in reality it's probably because no one casually play her, leaving One Pump Willie and bunch of other top tier players, which can do perfectly with other killers as well...
-
I think that is great. I hope they enhance them even more for cooperative work. Ideally if there are some slider option from "noob" (to test stuff) to "nightmare" where all gens are done in 5 minutes, everyone is god looper (for training).
-
And? You need her to be purple?
-
When they say it's "asymmetrical", I hadn't thought to this extent.
Super fun for one side and super frustrating for other. Different builds, different playstyles, so much and everything for killer, and complete frustrations, sweat and pain each match for survivor.
The things that keep me going are achievements/challenges and "Stockholm syndrome".
Killer challenges all done and being done very fust, survivors are tedious, painful and grindy. Everyday when I have to play survivor, I force myself ten times more then going to run on rainy day or do tripple sets in the gym.
As for "syndrome", I just play other games in between rifts and new chapters, they help.

Damn, I wish when I was playing killer for challenges it was "relaxing".
Most of the time I feel myself tensing to finish those challenges lol.
But, on earth, how? Last two years, every tome, every rift, every page unlocked, I do 2-3 killer challenges a day, 90% each challenge in one match. I even started to restrain myself to do no more than 2-3 challenges in a day. And all killer ones gone in 3 days, always. As survivor, it's a pain train. Majority of challenges are either "be a moron and throw match for you team" or "play 10 matches and if you lucky, you progress couple points on one challenge".
The only EASY ones for survivor are like "repair N gens". All others are like "make stars align in rare constellation or deliberately fail every match in hunt for one progress point"
The only hard ones (no, i'm wrong, the ones that require you to play more than one match) are "sacrifice more than 4 survivors".
Tell me which challenges you are struggling with, maybe I'd be useful and help you with them and give some hints.

If you mean camping, BHVR calls it a strategy too. You’re very good at playing stupid.
Learning from the best, dear teacher.
BHVR calls it strategy and trying to fix that "strategy" with bandaids, and now decided to make more serious move against this "strategy".
-
Well, I can play stupid too.
"You know, the one where killer get easy wins without lifting a finger on weak and common teams, but completely destroyed by strong ones. The one where instead of playing, he stand and sniff crotch of one hooked survivor, or mindlessly chase one survivor when everyone else just sitting and holding M1 uninterruped (bloody genrushers). The ones that devs were trying to bandaid for so long and now finally risked to do something more substantial. The one that destroy the game. Ever heard of it?"
-
Ok, I'll break it to you. It's the one of "trash" challenges where you need to botch your team and do something stupid instead of playing, like 80% of survivor's challenges and achievements: if someone doing a cheevo, it's a GG from the start.
- Take flashlight, required perk, "distortion" and NO exhaustion perks. All four are very important.
- If you see more than one flashlight in a lobby, or even one, drop it. Killer will be more careful or take Lighborn.
- Hover the chased survivor from afar. There are two scenarios:
- killer is careless: then you run towards killer and do a flashlight save
- killer is ok: you need to make him believe no one is around. That's where Distortion come to play. If after dowining survivor he kicks a gen with "Nowhere to hide", down and hook another survivor with "BBQ & Chili" or something similar, stay and wait till he return to your first downed survivor. Never help downed, don't spoil your position.
Pretty easy if you play like scumbag and throw the match for your team. Survivor's challenges are super "fun", insanely grindy and boring. Killer ones are done in couple relaxed evenings. I understand why, but I think "throwing team" part should be removed, frankly....
-
6. It will be a great start. Maybe needed tuning later, but devs focusing on a huge mechanic problem, although all bad killer players will be whining for days, but F them, frankly. Good players won't notice, game could be more enjoyable and healthy. Next stop: tunneling.
-
@Hero_awesome said:
Definitely sounds like a skill issue. Who goes down when you can loop for 5 gens get adrenaline and leave?
Can't argue with that solid point, you got me there.
-
"MAY possibly" weights far less than "DEFINETELY common", which is camping.
I really hope tunneling will be next target.
-
I'd rather make her crouch/stand faster and roar when she dashes, not when she charge dash. That way she could be decent in chase.
-
@Mushmallow said:
The concept is good but the execution leaves room to be improved on to fix potential problematic ways to abuse it.
@Viciusaurus said:
I've been too busy with work and haven't seen the stream yet. How does it work through floors on maps like Midwich?
We will see in two days on PTB. But my point is: at least it's the start, devs finally started to take it seriously, FINALLY(because it's the most unnoying and broken thing in game mechanic). I'm sure it will be clunky and require tuning, but at least it's the start. Important thing that they began working in that direction.
The longest road is with the first step.
-
I'm sorry, you can only have my word for it. I literally saw this (sadly only once). Bubba was camping, but team was super smart and gen-rushed as hard as they can, then in the end they managed to hookswap with insane 360 and other tricks, after that Bubba was pretty tilted, started making mistakes and behave compulsive, teammates managed to dodge his saw, unhook and run to the exit.
I was on support, did gens and opened gates and watched all this with open jaw.
It was only once.
P.S. BTW, I'm ultra anti-camping and ultra anti-tunneling wing, think that exploiters must be punished as severe as possible in any game. So you won't think I'm defending camping bubba.
-
Great visualization! It means that radius should be increased twice, right? I sure hope so.

Survivors, my dear. Give them an opportunity to and they will rush the hook the moment their fellow mate is hooked without a care in the world and accuse you of camping.
Sorry, my dear, didn't experience that in my 1.5K hours. Maybe instead of camping I was being busy with other two survivors? Yeah, I'm a disgrace to killers... :(
-
I'm sorry, maybe missed something?
Who punish killers for playing?
I see devs finally start to punish killers for NOT playing and not letting others play.

I don't think bhvr hates any of the killers or survivors, it's just that certain characters aren't on the their top priority list atm while other characters are.
Also i don't think her basekit needs a full blown freddy level rework, but more so a QOL pass.
That's my subjective feeling, because after her release for a year+ there were numerous posts "buff Sadako", i've never seen anything about any killer close by. Literally amount posts how bad Merchant is ten times less than "please buff onryo".
There were insane amount of suggestions, even without overhaul (with removing slug play and buffing chase), but she is unchanged since release. Therefore - feeling about purpuseful neglecting poor Sadako
Btw, I was maining her till Knight release, like 99% games, stopped playing just because fed up, not cause I don't like her or she feels weird. It's just if you eat only candy whole year, you really want some salty meat or sour apple for the change.
