Well they do mean so very little in the fact that you can high and low mmr people in the same grade.
Going against easier people even if you're bad will likely result in more pips.
I remember trying to get adept artist, i didnt play bad at all, I got a 9hooks every time even got some 4ks with 9 hooks but because the gens was so fast and efficient I only got a single pip.
So that example, is a great case of even of you play well and are good the level of players you verse can impact your grade and how fast you get them.
There will always be bad players at any level or even grade. I guess people that hit rank 1 in the first day are good? Or play a huge amount? I struggle to see skill in alot of things DBD does. I dont see Escaping as skillful
-
I mean thatd be the case in a balanced game.
Sadly there are so many factors that can result in a loss simply down to the RNG in the map.
Can people play bad? Sure, but that's not the only issue.
Its human to make mistakes and alot of the game is guess work for the killer, even T&L is a 50/50 guess if they will vault or not. But survivors are able to make alot more mistakes than a killer and can still win.
But we balance for kills and escapes... that's a joke of a balancing point as it has nothing to do with skill.
Too many factors impact the game and alot of them arent in the control of a killer
-
DH is a problem though. Yeah tiles, safe pallets and map rng are problems but I can assure you DH makes all those games wayyyyy harder and more unfair simply due to the "press a button for distance"
It means any mindgame you do at a loop they can use DH to correct it most of the time, so you outplay someone and they have a perk to fix it.
Quite often you will be juggling the survivors, and quite often they make it to loops due to DH.
Nerf the distance (keep the immunity to make the perk counter ranged attacks) and most matches would go better. Sure there is still unbalanced things but I'm not having to fight a perk making them all way worse.
DH is the strongest perk, has the most uses and is very easy to use in reality. It needs bringing back in line with the other perks.
-
Does this kick in starting this month? So next reset we will get that?
-
Grade = nothing.
I haven't played in ages, my games as an Ash 4 are insane in terms of skill and what they will use/bring as well as their game knowledge.
No matter your grade you will verse the mmr the game rates you at. So for me the unfun high level of play which actually makes me hardly play now and seek fun and balance in other games.

If you’re a competitive person, you’re wrong thinking there are “dirty” ways of playing. You’re nerfing yourself with this mindset.
Good killers know strategies and when to use them.
Are chases ending fast? If yes, maybe there’s room to play more friendly. No? Time to play aggressively.
How are survivors doing gens? Are they splitted on gens? Yes, then maybe I need to tunnel someone as the chances of killing a survivor or even getting a 4k are low, afterall survivors are playing at their best.
You need to choose wisely a strategy and go for it. And the most important is that you’re not in control, this is how pvp games tend to work, you’re not playing against bots.
The balancing thing… well, there’s always room to devs improve the game, till this happens we need to play the game the way it is..
I use "" as a way of saying that's what other people would call it.
Just because I'm competitive doesn't mean I dont want to have fun, I can have fun in other games even in a high level setting.
DBD doesn't really give me the choice in how to play if I want to do well in the games standard, I have no issue getting that "2k" they're balancing for.
I know how to play, 5 years experience at a high level I know pretty much everything there is to know but that dont mean I can play in a way I want (which is actually fun for everyone) and not be punished. This isnt including being screwed by RNG or something else
-
Imagine lying for the sake of a video game.
Its the same as those players cheating and thinking they're good. Kinda embarrassing tbh
-
I remember old ruin, had to hit greats every time and for some reason they seemed more common lol.
I do feel they could make gens more interesting, even the new wiggle checks are more engaging but I dont want gens going faster due to more skill checks.
I already hit greats most skill checks imagine if they popped up constantly lol

Why are kills after the 5th gen "too many"? There's a ton of perks that exist just for endgame scenarios. Why should those suddenly not count? It's not over until the Survivors get out.
And a lot of kills in endgame also happen because people get greedy and won't leave someone to die at the end.
Because half of those perks atm only gain power or use due to the survivors. While things like no way out are great perks the issue is perks like NOED will influx the results and I dont believe NOED is a good design, I dont mind versing the perk but iv often seen a killer do awful and they only get anything due to noed near the hook.
Its difficult as like you say there are perks for it, but at the end its pretty much a camp/trade situation which often results in alot more hooks/kills which doesnt take ot show skill and just depends on the survivors if they want to play as a team.
I often see killers get most of their hooks at the end of the match or even their kills.

That's why I said nerfed pop. What I meant was like 5%, just something to make kicking worth it, because it's just useless now.
I didn't mean change pop actually this way. I would make it based kit = 5% and nerf pop to 20%, so effectiveness of pop wouldn't change. This change would also not work with Ruin (you can't kick), so only perks that would make it better are opression, eruption and overcharge, which I don't think is an issue.
@Gamerherz said:
so you mean 5% by default and using pop its the usual 25%
Yeah that's what he means, although tbh 30% isnt that high. It encourages survivors to play better and not just trade hooks feeding the killer pop.
You also have to travel to a gen which is basically extra progress on a gen while you're walking to it.
Either would be okay but I dont see pop as 30% as an issue in my survivor games where mmr is actually working but I guess 20% pop and 5%base would be a good start then check after if its still worth using
-
Hooks. Always hooks
I would add individual hooks too (not second stage/1hooks) as every individual hook shows a chase and down. Each chase/down you must beat/outplay the other player.
If someone can outplay some multiple times it shows more skill than getting them once and camping.
I'd also add they should stop taking stats after the 5th gen is done, far to many hooks/kills are added after the 5th gen is done.
-
Pretty sure its because it takes away the survivors ability to use their perk and that would be unfun/fair.
Remember even though it's a 4v1, the 4 still has to counter the 1. Its backwards tbh but iron will counters stridor, botany counters sloppy etc. Etc.
-
Bad survivors... theres 0 reason for a game to be over that fast.
I get the killer didn't play in a "fun" way but its quite obviously the survivors fault.
Feel this is just trying to get things nerfed even though this is clearly bad players vs a really good one.
Iv got 4 downs this fast as a few killers, done it as plague last time I played. I just dont slug and hook all 4. 1min games are pointless imo, I like having fun especially if the survivors are more chill and allow it
-
They could legit just add black bars in.
Evil within had the black bars and had them removed so easily to increase the screen. Other games have too but then BHVR do struggle with things

My SoloQ survival rate went from 40-45% to 15-20% ever since SBMM had been enabled. Either there's a person going down ever 15 seconds to a cracked Blight or its a baby killer that gets looped and maybe gets a hook if he is lucky. And as a Killer, it's the two extremes again. Absolute navy seal team with microsecond perfect DH and knowing when I will/will not respect pallet on any given loop. Then it's back to poor baby survivors hiding behind trees in the following lobby. It's almost like there's the Max MMR and the Min MMR with zero space in between.
Strange, my escapes pretty much doubled and most killers got 2-6hooks max each game and they wasnt even bad tbh. There is a cap on MMR though and backfill is a thing but I never new mmr was that bad for people
@Murgleïs said:
We don’t know what is mmr is. It’s hidden. If his survivors are weak, the most logical explanation is that his mmr is not that high.
Mmr is based of 2 kills, he gets that often so I doubt that
-
@Carrow said:
I really don't think SBMM has changed at all. It has always been this bad. Back when they turned it on permanently, in the first or second week I had a lobby with a Nancy that had 30 hours in the game and when I dodged it, I loaded straight into an Otz-Nina-Lionnek lobby. I think Scott made this observation very early on, admitting that he came across potatoes all the time despite having a really good MMR with Demo. OhTofu also plays against some abysmal survivors in some of his vids.
Really? I never had that experience. Mine was as a survivor steam rolling every killer and then as killer getting insanely hard matches on a common basis.
-
Before I stopped playing I escaped most games since SBMM, maybe 1/10 I might die.
Most killers got 2-6hooks max in all the games, I also didnt see half of the roster.
This was all solo Q too. Just because a streamer does something dont make it a fact. Many factors go into a games outcome.
Edit: although nerf DH distance and I'd say the games pretty good balance wise.

Oh. I was just pointing out how one guy invented a rumor by claiming 'there's a rumor that x' and now everyone's talking about that rumor. Just the nature of gossip.
I watch Otz stream on occasion. He plays against very good people. Keep in mind that he has somewhere between 7 and 8 thousand hours in the game, most of that on killer. There just aren't that many people of that level to pair him against.
I'll say that even as an intermediate, I get bizarre games. SWFs with 10k hours combined against my 400. Completely new players with sub 20 hours. Right after each other. I suspect that lobby dodges cause this to happen, as the system basically just grabs the next person in line to fill the missing spot.
Well I'm not doing that, I love otz and I'm not gonna put him down. The best creator imo especially for info and everything.
Just curious as when I played awhile back I didnt see that and was hoping a SBMM had a change so it included a weaker link so it was like 2 good and 2 not so good for an example.

Yea Otz didn´t joke around - which is fine with no addons or perks.
Tru3 had some options he did not took because it was boring to him. I think in some cases he could get 1 or 2 more kills.
But i found the challenge cool to watch.
Oh for sure, I dont care how anyone plays as long as they're respectful to the players (no BM)
And ah yeah I guessed right, dont blame him though slugging every etc. Is abit boring and I feel bad for doing it.
-
Check your actual console settings, yours may be put on the wrong colour settings for your TV etc.
For example RGB PC (or something like that) colours was turned on for. Game looked great but recordings was pitch black.
So go through all the console settings and have a look. (Best thing to do is load up tutorial, make a quick clip you can use as reference and then edit a settings and check the clip. Repeat till its better)

I watches both streams - some other streamers do attemps now as well - so there will be maybe more info.
Otz first matches did not seem to be very strong teams. And in some matches he got good snowballs. Which can always happen in the game.
But Tru3 had some really strong teams in my opinion.
Ah I only watched the first few of otz and none of true. I know they play different times but other than that I'd say theyrr equally as good skill wise.
But depends if true got tilted or tried playing nicer (hooks and not mass slugging) I know he dont enjoy that. While I know otz would of gone all out for the test like the OG he is

Ugh.
This is an example of how one person claiming that a rumor exists immediately causes a rumor to exist.
Otz gets really good people and some mediocre people. When he plays to win, he plays hard. He also loses plenty. EU servers have very odd matchmaking sometimes too.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2739232#Comment_2739232
I'll have to watch his series, but I've seen a fair amount of Tru3 games and - while he's an excellent player - he does tend to play a lot 'nicer', and also tilts quite fast.
I'm not doing either. Having a survivor unable to look behind or keep track of a killer clearly isnt otz skill.
I also stated otz is very good and verses strong teams. I'm just confused why he had such a weak link in the games I watched so i wondered luck or SBMM issues/changes
-
@dugman said:
The devs talk a bit about mismatches in Part 1 of their recent Developer Update. Basically even assuming the MMR itself is a really accurate rating for a player, matchmaking is still going to be limited for outlier players like Otz because of some factors
- There aren’t many players with Otz’s rating probably. He’s a professional player with a massive amount of hours, the great majority of players aren’t in his rough bracket. So a lot of the time he’s going to end up timing out into a next available slot situation where he’s in whatever match it can get him.
- Additionally whenever someone leaves a lobby the system prioritizes filling the empty slot so it doesn’t have four players waiting a really long time for a replacement. That means shoving in whoever happens to be available, which could be someone like Otz who is playing prolifically.
So mismatches aren’t necessarily an indication the hidden MMR is wrong, but rather a function of what happens when there isn’t a close match readily available. And since the game is such that skill makes a really big difference in the outcome of the match, if Otz gets matched against a team that includes one or two people not at his level he will quickly find the weak links and eliminate them, allowing him to mop up the stronger players after they lose their support.
Finally the update also mentions that brand new players probably have their initial MMR set too high, they’re coming in around average or below average when if they’re truly brand new their actual accurate rating would be really, really low. They said they’re working in adjusting that.
See thing is I'm also a very good player (haven't played in abit so I'd be rusty now) but I can say both my knowledge and skill is the same as otz for most killers (except trickster and huntress)
But iv never had a player like he had in some of those game (I know it's just the odd one but that makes a difference yano)
-
@Marc_123 said:
Watch Tru3s attempt - he only got a kill rate of about 1.3.
And some of his matches were incredibly quick with 4e.
Does he even play killer anymore? I do feel he does get very strong teams but he also gets tilted abit and messes up.
Edit: he gets stream snipes alot so that could be a factor too I gues
-
@jesterkind said:
What his videos actually show isn't that SBMM changed or even that Otz is lucky- what it shows is that Otz is, statistically, just better at identifying and capitalising on the weak link that is almost always there.
It's easy to see it when you're watching a video but it's harder when you're actually in the middle of the match. All you see there if you get tilted is the good plays, not the bad ones- and even if you see them, doesn't mean you know what to do about it.
I know what to do and how to identify weak links, but if not had a survivor since SBMM not run meta or not know how to look behind them or not realise a killer is right behind them.
Like I said I haven't played recently, grinding other games so maybe that's why and my SBMM hasn't adjusted for every killer that was placed high due to the start

30 straight L's.
I quit playing Killer normally (because it's no longer fun whether I win or lose) so I decided to try to play Killers I have never played before in hopes that it would be a fresh experience.
Apparently, that was a mistake because I've lost 30 straight games while trying to learn Nurse.
Do the people making this game understand how ######### demoralizing it is to get clicked at, t-bagged and generally treated like a joke for thirty goddamn games? I had someone send me a TWITCH WHISPER to "learn how to play Killer gg baby Killer."
I had hoped that my MMR would lower enough to the point where I might get people on my skill level, but apparently not. I'm getting the exact same perk set-ups and the exact same people as my first games. It's not even that my MMR is high, I'm just BAD at Nurse because I've NEVER PLAYED HER BEFORE. I can't aim blinks and can't land hits and I'm never going to be able to because my games are ending before I get to learn ANYTHING.
Is this a rant/vent post? yes. Am I pissed? yes. Is this meant to be taken seriously? not really. Am I close to not being able to find any enjoyment in this game. also yes.
SHARED MMR.
This is the first issue I ever brought up about mmr. I was so excited when each killer was getting separate mmr, so disappointed when I found out they all share mmr one first playing/first day of mmr.
All killers should be set at X SBMM and you increase/decrease from there. Just because my blight is super high dont mean weaker killers I dont play should be near that level at all.

Yeah, I think I get you. The distance hurts more the weaker killers while the iframes hurts more the stronger ones.
Pretty much yeah, kinda evens out the killers abit more while still nerfing DH and hopefully mixing up the meta.
I dunno imo that's the best solution, for all killers and personally the distance is what annoys me the most. Makes anything safe verse basic attack killers even if you mindgame
-
@Labrac said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2737072#Comment_2737072
Funny because I think the distance part is fine. My problem is actually when people use it to instantly dodge a hatchet, blink, shot, rush, chainsaw, etc or when they use it to phase through the killer after you mindgame them at a pallet (like when you Dead Hard standing still at a pallet so the killer misses and you vault it).
Well the reason I pick distance is the killers you list are usually strong or antiloop. So in a way DH becomes a perk used more to try counter anti loop powers abit, still wouldn't be 100% effective but I feel that knocks it in like while the distance can not only hurt antiloop killers (helps them get round the corner faster before you can wind up etc.) But it screws over ever basic attack killer or any basic attack chance as they can simply use DH, which works on any loop.
You can hold people at loops as an antiloop when they use DH (throw over etc.) But as a basic attack you waste so much more time and get hurt more by it
@BrokenSouI said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2737072#Comment_2737072
I used to think dead harding for distance was the only problem(which is still is) But the invulnerability has been problematic a lot lately too. As I posted above. Within a 3:30 hour span. I had 35 hits robbed from me on mind games that worked and should of gotten me downs. Instead the chases continued.
Oops missed you out :( but I do agree the invincible bit can be annoying but the distance hurts basic killers far more and still antiloop ones.
Nerfing distance helps both types of killers (m1 killers more but they need the help) but still keeps the perk useful but more of a perk that has it's intended use (counter range/antiloop hit)
I feel if you keep the distance you're making a bigger gap between basic killers and antiloop which is already a big difference just knocks all the killers closer in power while hopefully making DH not so over used and maybe mix up the meta
-

Just because something is used a lot doesn't mean it's OP and needs a nerf.
I see BBQ and ruin on 99% of my matches and I dont think they need to be nerfed.
Pinky Finger was an issue, but I do agree that clown needs another rework, because the one they gave him a while ago didn't really improve anything at all. He still lacks map pressure and is still one of the weakest killers in the game.
They need his bottles to have separate ammo tbh, that would do wonders imo
-
@Lat0 said:
Why are you not nerfing the most used perk in the game, but instead nerf addons of killers that have very small play rate?
You guys said in a recent post that you don't want to rush changes. Ok..but then you nerfed The Artist before she was even released. I really don't understand the thought process behind the decisions you take.
Why change the only addon that makes Clown playable? Why do it now?
Do you guys got killed by a Clown with pinky finger recently, babyraged and decided to nerf it? Is that what it is?
You also nerfed some Twins addons..why?? I do play survivor a lot and i think i saw Twins 3 times last year, just saying
DH needs the distance nerfed, that's all.
Would put it in line with alot of other perks then and would limit it to certain situations like every other perk.
The biggest issue is it's used for distance at any loop. You can mindgame/outplay someone and they can press dead hard to correct it. I dont think that's 100% fair, if a killer had that itd get changed.
Use DH to avoid certain powers or hits that's great! Use it constantly to get to distance for vaults/pallets you wouldn't make or to correct mistakes isnt fun or interactive for the killer.

People are already saying that about the boil over change. People on either side complain about perk buffs, but then cry when the meta is never changed.
I mean with this change this perk has some great potential in being strong, combine it with flip flop and you just need to recover 30% recovery. If someone is near the pallets you got downed at the killer pretty much has to pick you up if you have those perks and hope the other survivor cant get to the other side.
No saying it will be OP, I'm actually all for buffing perks so they're strong and make it harder to decide on what to pick. I do feel theres alot older perks out there that could of used love first though

Oh. Cool, never mind. I haven't been paying attention to the Grade system.
It's not a huge difference tbh, it's about 2 levels in the emblems. So dont take this as a fact as it's been awhile since iv actually looked but
Ash 4 = 3golds 1 iri
Iri 1 = 3iri 1gold
Might not be 100% accurate but its something like that, can be a huge difference at high mmr though as it means you dont need iri emblem in the gen defense etc.

So basicaly this is short. I was playing as the trapper just after rank reset. And i got a 4k and didin't get the adept. Can someone tell me how does it work on killer side now? Thanks for future comments
Like before it will massively depend on luck and the players you verse. I had the exact same issue with the artist, I was getting a 4k with about 9hooks but wasnt getting it but I'll go through everything you need to try to do.
1. This goes of emblems and not points.
2. Getting minimum of 9 hooks will give you an iri emblem, the game has to last X long, if you kill them all too fast or they do the gens to fast that will hurt you.
3. The lower your grade the easier an double pip (merciless) is. So being ash 4 (just after the 13th reset) will be your best chance.
Alot of it is down to luck tbh, but I have done all of them so if you're trying to do a certain one or need advice just ask

No, grabbing a box and holding a button for a few seconds is easy, it's just not fun. Holding a button while running to remove chains is easy, but not fun. I didn't say impossible interactions, I said unfun. Granted, this is subjective, but playing as and against Pinhead is not fun in my opinion.
Also of course I hate NFTs, but Pinhead still wasn't great in the first place, all the NFTs did was put my second least favorite chapter to my least favorite chapter.
And regarding the maps, even not taking them into account Cursed Legacy and Demise of the Faithful are still gold standards and Pinhead was a very underwhelming license.
Yes but in terms of the power it gives you alot of interacts, I guess you're right its subjective but it has so many interactive features (explained in a previous comment)
Well a hellraiser map would of been pretty cool, but theres no real one area. But I'm not sure why you like plague/oni so much, plague especially as 90% of the time shes a basic M1 because no one cleanses
-
@CheeseAnton said:
Every chapter should have a single killer with unfun interactions, community backlash, basically false advertising (how BHVR didn't directly say it but implied they weren't working with NFTs and then did, and the voicelines being removed and us getting them back months after the release despite it being on the PTB), and okay perks?
Imo Pinhead is actually the opposite, it's the lowest standard, it's the chapter All-Kill would laugh at. Imo, the Gold Standards for what a chapter should be are still Cursed Legacy and Demise of the Faithful for bringing great characters, great killers with unique and strong powers, I don't remember there being many bugs, okay maps not the best but at least they had them, and great perks, they also had new ideas for killers that weren't attempted before (Other characters were pretty recent but Plague showed that killers can be taken from pretty much any time, and Oni was the first and only killer directly related to another killer).
Let me guess, you're unable to grab a box and hold a button for a few seconds and that's not interactive?
Oh and you hate NFTs?
But we cant really include maps as you dont get them for buying the chapter. They're default without purchase.

>Well I class hellraiser and mikaela together as they're simply paragraphs, I do get why it's only pinhead as it's a liscene but other than that..
Hellraiser isn't a Paragraph, it's Chapter 21. That was my point; it counts as a Chapter and is advertised as such, but it features the same amount of content as a Paragraph. The same thing was done with Ghostface actually, and I had the same grievances then.
>Well his power, you can see where it's being cast from, can dodge it, break it faster and still vault and drop pallets.
Sure, for his manually aimed range attack. I don't have an issue with that, but I do have an issue with chains randomly appearing to harass me when I'm trying to run away, repair generators, heal other Survivors, and for almost *three full months before it got patched*, even while trying to solve the damn box to stop the chains. Seriously, in what way was it interactive to not even be able to solve the box because chains kept dragging you out of it? It is an absolute chore to face him in solo queue, because you can never rely on your team to go do the box, and when they do, they go down with it and starting the chain hunt early.
Chain hunt is not a fun or well designed mechanic IMO. It's just an annoying passive benefit for no cost on the Killer's part.
>Eh dont care for NFT, I didnt buy it I just brought a game character.
You should, and you did. Part of the money you spent on the Chapter went to Park Avenue Entertainment (the at the time owners of Hellraiser) and Boss Protocol (the creators of the Hellraiser NFTs). That's how any licensed DLC goes.
>Not like the whole world dont waste money and energy on millions of other things
Money and energy on things that actually matter, not images of monkeys smoking blunts.
Thought they advertised it as a paragraph tbh.
You get the box, you stop chain hunt. That's interactive, it's not the games fault no one wanted to get it. If it didnt make an impact people would ignore it.
Actually that's not true, it's very common knowledge people waste heaps of food, water and even energy by leaving things running. We also throw mass amounts of money towards undeed things. We also pay sports people more than doctors, healthcare, military etc. All of which protect and save lives.
We arent a caring species I'm afraid lol

Thing is people just say nurse is really hard so she gets away with it.
In reality shes not that hard, like anything in this game it's just to learn timings.
The only bad thing for nurse is that slow movement speed and that's why people struggle. Not her actual power.
And I'm a console player, her blinks arent as hard as people make out. It's why pinhead wasnt a far learning curve, sadly for him when you use your power it's not 100% a hit like nurse.
Imo pinhead didnt need all his addons gutted. Iri fang sure whatever, the others? Nope.

In my opinion, 'everything a chapter should be' should hopefully contain a map and a Survivor, no? The Survivor half of the community got absolutely nothing out of that Chapter.
Thankfully we got Mikaela's Paragraph only a month and a half later to make up for it,, but they really shouldn't advertise Hellraiser as a Chapter when it only contains half the content.
Also, 'interactive power for both roles' is debatable.
Also also, NFTs.
Well I class hellraiser and mikaela together as they're simply paragraphs, I do get why it's only pinhead as it's a liscene but other than that..
Well his power, you can see where it's being cast from, can dodge it, break it faster and still vault and drop pallets. You also have a mini side objective (the box which is good and mixed it up). Theres physically nothing more you could ask for from a power to be interactive?
Eh dont care for NFT, I didnt buy it I just brought a game character. Not like the whole world dont waste money and energy on millions of other things

Which again brings us back to the situation of things that we're working on not making the light of day, the community get hyped about something that just doesn't work in practice or expects to have it instantly - we've been there before with so many things and the results keep happening the same way - every time we try to give transparency it's thrown back at us. In the past something has been mentioned where it's in the idea phase, something we're looking at - early game collapse for example, and then for whatever reason that doesn't come to fruition do you really think the community is accepting of it? Because that's not what we see from our point of view at all.
Every time we try to be transparent it goes the same way, it's not even an historical thing - as the whole Legion/Ghostface issue that happened shows that. We did try with this Dev Update and explain things that we're looking into with bridging the gap between solo's and swf, and looking into the MMR to improve that system....I'm honestly expecting the discussions to start in a few weeks "devs said this will be in the game, it's still not there, devs lied" etc etc etc. When we've not said when something will be implemented or even that it for certain will be implemented, but that we're looking into it - but many people will run with it and say "yes this is coming" so we tend to not give too much advance notice of things anymore and not say what's being worked on.
I do fully get that, and like I said some people just dont listen or even pay attention to what's being said. A common thing still is people go on about how they're being matched with other grades for matchmaking even though it was made very clear grades have nothing to do with mmr/sbmm.
There will always be those people, but any true supporter values the honesty on openness of the developers I know I am. I will say some things aren't made clear enough if they're definitely being added or just being looked at.
For example I know certain maps are being updated, having heard anything from you guys or a tease etc. Which is a shame, info keeps us hyped!
Sadly the unpleasant ones get heard most often, doesn mean alot of us dont enjoy or appreciate you all for sharing stuff with us

Partly because every time we're transparent about what is being worked on people expect that to be implemented instantly into the game.
We had it with Object of Obsession rework and we had it this time with Ghostface & Legion - we never said they were coming this mid chapter just that they were the next killers to be looked at. And past history has shown this happening time and time again, which is why we're more hesitant in discussing things until we're more certain about what we're able to implement.
@MandyTalk it would probably help if the people discussing the things was more accurate or detailed in what they was saying along with following updates.
A quick example split things up into these categories:
1.being worked on now and is like to come sooner or later
2. Acknowledged, being looked into and worked on abit. However number one section is first but are definitely going to happen in the future.
3. Things that were looking at but not concrete we will implement.
And then just keep those updated even if things havent gone unchanged. You could easily say "still being looked into, not currently in the works but will be at some point"
Biggest issue is we either hear nothing, hear something and then never kept updated and it's just a guess what's going on or we hear something and then was never told otherwise.
For example: early game "collapse" was spoke about, and the dropped and we wasnt told for a year odd later.
Keys and moris, one was done far ahead of the other. One wasnt given a warning while the other was.
And finally SBMM, escapes and kills.. that was disappointing when neither can show skill and was told that's not what was going to be used.
IMO clear honesty is always best, there will always be those that dont listen, but as long as you're giving info (where possible) and give updates on those it keeps people involved and inpart excited

Eh, love the chapter and the idea of the killers power.
Even before the nerf he wasnt too strong and required alot of skill to beat good survivors.
So with the nerfs hes garbage imo. But my opinion is an outlier due to being at high mmr and having sweaty as games either side I play.
Even the strongest combos you could think of for him as a solo Q hes never gotten more then 2 kills, with the nerf well I haven't seen him since so that says alot.

Twins are a top tier killer. I see plenty of bad nurses. Doesn’t mean she’s not the best killer in the game. Twins have base kit, no activation requirement, snowball potential.
I may be the only player that’s happy they buffed baby teeth. It should be blindness while Victor is attached as well.
I'd still have to disagree, the snowball potential sure I can see that and that's the only strength in her. Victor is very good as well but there are far too many drawbacks to call them top tier/s tier.
I save top tier/s tier for killers that always have a chance and can always do well without huge drawbacks. Twins have that sadly

Magic of the forum I guess :D
It's amazing to see how many broken things were here before. Thing is that it wasn't an issue because this game started as hide and seek. When it changed into The game of tag, then it was an issue.
Yeah I remember a time when iron grasp and agitation was meta against 99 sabo meta.
Funny part is I use to 4k far more back then too XD

Twins were considered S tier by Tofu and Otz put Twins in A tier so apparently there very good
Haven't seen them play twins since mmr was released though, and if twins was S tier they would be played alot more lol.
Havent seen 1 twins since even before mmr, but nerfing brown addons for no reason is silly tbh. Even clowns flask got nerfed

I didn't mention invisible number that means nothing.
I just assumed something about you based on something you said. It's quite simple.
So everyone knows, based on what it is. You said:
"Survivors have been on the short side of the win rate for years and years now and we just want some balance."
I mean, FOR YEARS? Those poor survivors with infinites? Oh no, I feel so bad for them. Insta heals, stacked pallets, MoM, Brand new parts... it had to be terrible for them....
You even used incorrect numbers about kill rates multiple times trying to "prove" your false points.
Tbf its surprising killers ever got anyone in the past considering everything they had. But back then the game was new and looping as it is today was never a thing.
But it was good to see a post about the bad parts of the forums get the bad parts in itself lol

I do agree. As much as I never want to see the perk again, I kinda would make it at least, remove the i-frames. Removing it leaves David to be the only one with 2 perks.
The distance I feel is the bigger impact, i get the i frames can be annoying but its only as bad due to the distance it gives as well.
I dont really want the perk removed though, just nerf the distance. Would give other perks a chance to be meta as well and a range of perks used is always good

Or how about we insensitive people not to camp without punishing them?
Second this*
Encourage and make it possible to go for lots chases and hooks first and then punish camping/tunneling after. Or do it all in one go.
But atm camping/tunneling can save a match and sometimes be necessary. I can assure you chases is the fun part for everyone. People just feel discouraged

I miss the days of ranks when people would always say I was grey ranks and I could show them rank 2/1 consistently 😔
Now I have to hope they believe me, which nobody ever does.
Proof or it didnt happen ;)
Yeah it is a shame, would be interesting to link accounts to forums but thatd also make people use it as a way to attack others sadly. That happens on the halo forums

You forgot best argument: You think it's not true? Hmm, you must be low MMR and I am the highest MMR ever recorded!
Umm actually actually I didnt forget I just thought thatd be obvious, you must be low mmr jeez.
I'm joking though I did miss that, CBA to edit the post though my phones running flat 😂

I don't play killer much anymore.
However I use to because killer is what brought me to the game. Also the licences of myers, bubba etc. Was just so exciting and amazing I just wanted to play as them
Sadly I don't enjoy killer as much anymore, and I'm just put off the game alot by the lack of content I see. I see a small few killers and all survivors tun the same perks etc. But that's another issue
