Hey there,
The best place to Report Bugs is on the official Forum's Bug Report Category: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/categories/bugs Check and see if it has been reported already and upvote it, otherwise you can open a new report following the guidelines pinned in that Forum section.

Closing this here as the discussion is simply going around in circles.
It has been stated multiple times: using communication tools is neither cheating nor it is against the rules. It is also stated in the Game Rules under the category of Other Hacks: We are not banning for the use of communication apps.
-
Closing this thread here. Please remember keep comments civil when posting, and remember that we absolutely do not condone bashing Content Creators whatsoever, per our rule on Naming and Shaming.
-
Seconding Rathoric (including the cosmetic combo in their post that I wear a lot); from look to power to those unique cosmetics, I adore her. I do sometimes get frustrated when I cannot chain the birbs to injure/downed a swarmed Survivor, but that is not a flaw with her as much as how I am playing, add-ons, and Survivors that clear the swarm via hopping in a locker.
Also, as an artist myself, I'm always supporting my fellow artists... including the Artist :3
-
I'm sorry you're experiencing this issue. Can you provide more information, most notably the platform you were playing on?
-
Stepping in with a reminder to please keep the conversation and disagreements civil. Thank you.
-
I'd be curious to see a clean-shaven or different facial hair styles for Jeff!
-
Closing this thread here as talk once again went off topic, as well as comments turning uncivil quickly. It's ok to disagree, and agree to disagree, but please be respectful of others, and their thoughts & opinions, just as one would wish their constructive thoughts & opinions to be respectfully responded to. Thank you.

That would be awesome! I wish we’d get like an old timey map town with like a drive In theatre and a diner like something retro. Who would you give the costumes to and what would they be?
Oh I like that, "old Smalltown USA-ish on Halloween" map like the vintage cards and stuff would be fun!
And that is a great question 🤔 (and also, just a general disclaimer per usual I am simply a humble Community Moderator and not a dev <3 I simply love Halloween all year long and love DbD as well)
Part of me would love to give Survivors retro or homemade costumes of their DLC counterparts, but that maybe too on-the-nose, I guess you'd call it lol I'll have to think on it! Or honestly, even just generic retro monster or Halloween classic (black cat, robot, ghost, etc) costumes would be fun for Survivors <3 I would image the faces of the Survivors cannot be too obscured, but could probably have the masks on the side, top, or back of the head like we would do when it was too warm to wear it normally lol to give one example from the 50's, what is the median "vintage" era (early 1900s- late 1980s... and that latter part being vintage makes me feel older than I need right now rofl):
-
I personally would just love to see Survivors (and some Killers too) in Vintage/retro Halloween style costumes. I have a book set called Vintage Hallowe'en & The Vintage Hallowe'en Party Book, and soooo many things in there I'd love to see in a Halloween event in DbD (or any game, really).
@DavidHypnos said:
That’d be cool but they’d have to look like generic Halloween costumes you’d get from a store or something. I think it’d be fun and go along with the multiverse lore… like in Dwight’s world the Deathslinger is from a horror movie and is a popular costume but in Zarina’s world that’s true of the Hillbilly. Something like that!
I like that idea too, maybe kinda like the old Rubie's style costumes with the plastic, stylized mask and "costume" that was usually just a long shirt with the character on it.

Coupe de Grace - I love the buffed version, people don't expect it on Dredge and helps quite a bit with his anti-loop on some of the loops.
Gearhead - My favourite aura reveal perk, if you can get hits on a consistent basis, you will get awesome value out of this perk throughout the match - I use it on my Artist.
oooh, I need to try Coup de Grace on Dredge later! And glad to see I'm not the only one that enjoys Gearhead <3 I haven't tried it on Artist yet, but that makes a whole heck of sense for her.
I definitely have a few go-to's when it comes to perks for Killer and Survivor... for Survivor:
- Diversion - Not too many Killers are ticked by it, especially after the first pebble, but sometimes it does work (I definitely fall for it A LOT as killer 😅) and also... when all else fails and the Killer is about to down you: turn around and face them, crouch, and throw! I personally respect the meme of the "Go fetch!" throw.
- Smash Hit - especially when you have Killer stun or pallet-related challenges, I find it better than Lithe or Balanced Landing.
- Detective's Hunch - whether needing to find an item, set up a boon or break a totem, its so helpful!
- Inner Healing - a quick and easy heal, pairs well with Overzealous!
- Urban Evasion - I've been attached at the hip with this perk since I started playing in 2016.
- Red Herring - synergizes with so many other perks, depending on how you want to play with it.
And for Killer:
- Dissolution - a sizable part of when I run pallet-related builds, and often helps with Survivors who loop like I hope to one day loop lol
- Zanshin Tactics - especially on Artist, it is incredible (honorable mention to using it on Skull Merchant as well)
- THWACK! - Great name, and not too shabby a perk, either <3
- Trail of Torment - on some killers it can get so much use in a match!
- I'm All Ears - Its almost hot-glued into my ranged killers' loadouts lol

Hi yocieg,
Could you please provide some more information regarding this issue? Which platform are you playing from? Also, how much BP do you have currently (just double-checking you aren't at the Blood Point cap).

We do not discuss Bans here on the Forum, and if you have been given a final decision in regards to this, it is final, as noted in the Guidelines for Ban Appeal: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/140-ban-appeals

Stepping in with a reminder to keep the discussion civil, please, and remember the admission or endorsement of Unsportsmanlike Conduct (i.e. DCing) is against the rules. Thank you.

Addons that were on the broken keys. Unique wedding ring, eroded token, gold token, and prayer rope. They broken keys work if I bring it into the game but if I get it from dramaturgy it doesn't seem to work same addons
Thank you for the extra information, that helps a bunch!

I wasn't counting seconds between down and hook. I've never lost 2 tokens against Eruption, I only lost 1 token the second time I was hit with it that match when killer slugged survivor to chase another. This random loss of a token when killer hooks someone has also happened when the killer isn't running Eruption - the Blight example was because it's only one I remembered all the aura reading he was running because it was most recent.
Thank you for the added information, bm33! We are forwarding this to the Team for their review. Since yesterday I'm personally running Distortion as well to see if I can add more information or clues to this issue for the Team as well.

Stepping in with a reminder to please keep this discussion civil and respectful; you can agree to disagree or be constructively critical, without resorting to belittlement of others or their opinions.
-
hey xSnoochyBoochyx,
Did the Key have add-ons? Per Broken Key's description:
The Broken Key's power cannot be triggered by itself. Various objects can be attached to its jump ring, which channels the Broken Key's power into various effects.
-
hey bm33,
I do want to ask for some more information:
- Are you able to remember the perks, add-ons, and killers in these matches that might rule things in or out?
-
I would live to get my hands on a copy of it one day if solely to paint/mod the minis! Sadly I don't have local board game friends, so I couldn't justify the purchase at the time, but I'd love to mod the gen pieces especially to look like past event gens (especially the Summer BBQ event gens)! And if I do eventually get local friends to throw down on the board... even better!
-
Stepping in with a reminder to keep comments civil, please. It's ok if you don't agree with others, but please, let's not accuse people of "trolling" or be unnecessarily/overly negative toward others for their opinions or things they like about the game that do not break the rules.
To note as well, matches lasting very long stretches of time where a side is not progressing the game can be considered Griefing (holding the game hostage), and reportable, as noted in the Game Rules.
-
All the time as well!
As Killer: Peekaboo Myers/Ghostface, Ghostface vs Survivor fast-crouch contests, Moonwalk contests with the Survivors are my more "fleshed out" game modes (Killer pun only 65% intended there, lol)
As Survivor: Boop the Snoot (and not just Pig!), fast-crouch contests with Ghostface, Magpie (Killer permitting), and sometimes my friend and I whom I play DbD with the most, sometimes we will compete against each other to survive the match (being mindful not to hinder others from escaping). And actually had a semi-organic Mr. President game a month ago (two Aces loaded in with us in matching outfits, I had that outfit and my friend didn't, so my I protecc-eted my friend all match). Unfortunately both the Aces and the killer had no idea what that game mode was or what we were doing, but they all got a laugh in post game and we all had a good match anyway!
And one I had happen ages ago when I was playing Nurse on Suffocation Pit (MacMillian), all 4 Survivors were in the dead-center of the map in a crouch-walk train 🤣 I hit the caboose (a Bill) but no one broke the train so.... I joined in and became the new caboose until the train broke up 2-3 minutes later rofl

Ironically, I would have been using Iridescent Photocard and Diamond Cufflinks BUT the game literally never gave me a single Iridescent addon until I got Trickster to Prestige 1 Level 15.
Before you even posted this, I started a match with those addons. Of course Im responding late because the match took awhile but I got Trickster's Adept done from that match.
x4 MFT as well, I got a lot of Iridescent Photocard value!
Congrats! I'm glad you got it after all those attempts!!!
I got mine earlier this week too; funny enough, I also used Iridescent Photocard (though it didn't get any use). I didn't use cufflinks, iirc I had Feather Boa (?), and randomly got sent to Lery's, which... actually benefitted me exponentially with long hallways and rooms that allowed for knives to be thrown!
Iri Photo Adept Trickster party! 🤩

Closing this here. While I understand latency & high pings can be frustrating, please remember to keep comments civil. And while a person's internet connection is one's responsibility, please remember also, that one's access to internet may be limited due to location, provider, hardware, or finances, and to be respectful to others experiencing issues out of their control. Thank you.

Reporting the player in-game is Required for any violation of game rules, correct. However, it doesn't do "nothing", as it flags the match and player for the ACMs. For things like Communications Abuse, it is the only required step (sending a Support Ticket is optional for Communications Abuse). And of course, even if a player has hidden their name, the report in-game can show the ACMs that player and issue a consequence if found to have broken rules.
For the full list of Game Rules and how to report them, you can find them here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/139-game-rules

I agree as well, and on Oni & Dredge too. Singularity didn't take me quite as long as Dredge did when it came to learning the killers when they respectively came out, but.... dangit they are so enjoyable <3
Singluarity, I've been learning per map the best spots to throw a biopod up on aside from generators, and its been a fun challenge for me. Before last Wednesday I hadn't played Dredge in a minute, and fell back in love with 'em too. I even decided to challenge myself a bit last week with these two, and was pleasantly surprised:
-
The Terror Radius is the "heartbeat", so Distressing will expand the heartbeat that Survivors hear. Lullabys (like Freddy, Huntress, etc) are not counted as a Terror Radius, so (for an example) perks like Insidious will not supress a lullaby like it does the heartbeat.

I can say pineapple on pizza is so good, and the peanutbutter thing Mr Mushwin may like, once he uses a dairylea triangle cos we didn't have any cheese with it! blergh lol
As a vegetarian the ham is a pass for me, but on a "bianca" style pizza, pineapple can add a nice, sweet acidity to balance out the fattyness of the cheese and salt <3 though I prefer pineapple on it after it bakes, not baked with the pizza, but that's me lol
And I had to look up dairylea and oh my goodness... I'm with you on that one, Mushwin lol
-
I will expire on the elevated terrain that (room temp) bananas on pizza are actually pretty good. Also, spicy fruit jelly/jam with peanut butter in a sandwich just elevates it so much, oh my glob.

Closing the thread here, as the arguing is beginning to get out of hand and going in circles. i mean ive had a hand full of matches where people actually admit they dc because of "playing bore merchant" or "downing them with crutch perks" or other reasons. But yeah i do see the purposeful running at them, makes sense. Thank you!
And to note, a one-off incident of running to killer/dying on first hook may not be ragequit, it could be an IRL emergency, just like an AFK could if its only done once in a very rare occasion. But if a player is reported repeatedly because they do it very frequently, that is when they'll receive consequences.
-
Keep an eye and ear out; unless done with near-perfect distance and timing to catch you in animation, you'll see the arm throw it downward and/or the metal "clink" of it hitting the ground, giving you a second to turn your gaze and avoid it. I've fortunately gotten somewhat decent at recognizing the sound and whipping 90-180 degrees to avoid it (I say somewhat decent because I have turned around 180 degrees to avoid one, but walked OVER the flashbang and got blinded that way 😅)

@Seraphor said:
Pretty sure these buttons don't do a damn thing. There's an actual report feature that requires you submit evidence.
Actually, they do; they flag the match for the ACMs. In all instances of a rule violation in game, this is required. From there, a Support Ticket is optional or required as well depending on the rule broken, as noted here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/139-game-rules
In regards to ragequitting and the like, the first sentence explains it. Its no different than the other examples like AFK, or admission of giving up in post game chat (like if they admit running to the killer to give up on first hook because they didn't want to play the match anymore). And yes, DCs are not reportable, and they may not be ragequits either (Years ago I myself had an internet outage right as I was jumping into the hatch; my friend thought I DC'd but then realized I disappeared from Steam and Discord as well).

Hey @M3lancholy ,
Thank you for taking the time to report this issue, we are forwarding this to the team for their review. If you wish to add the video, you can upload it to Youtube and link it so you don't have to upload it here directly.

Hey @CodeError! Thank you for your report! Are you able to give information on which map it was, even general map group (Coldwind, Autohaven, etc)?
-
Stepping in to keep this discussion civil, please, toward others here, others in general, and people's thoughts & opinions. Thank you.

I actually enjoy all of them for one reason or another... and I know it sounds like a non-answer, but I'm serious! I keep a fairly robust rotation! The only one I don't play often (and need to, tbh) is Hillbilly, 7 years and I am still potato chainsaw champ of the Fog lol
Recents: Singularity (don't know why but Hux is fun on the bun for me), Demogorgon (dailies), Twins, Knight, Onryo (a lot of dailies for Onryo lately), Wraith, Trapper, and the newest addition to the rotation: Pyramid Head (a little special thanks to GoodBoyKaru's guides)!
Played quite a bit recently: Nurse (dailies), Skull Merchant (she's also one I enjoy for reasons unknown to me lol), Legion, Artist, Hag, Dredge, Plague, Deathslinger, Oni, Ghost Face, Myers, Huntress (learning to throw hatchets to longer distances, dailies/achievements), Pig, Doctor, Pinhead.
Haven't played much of late (100% just fell out of rotation; not a conscious dislike or avoidance): Spirit (not sure why I haven't played her of late... might be on the docket tonight), Blight (my old fave, now I'm soooo rusty with him), Wesker, Clown, Leatherface (VERY rusty with), Freddy, and Trickster (also rusty).
I think I might dedicate this weekend to de-rusting a few on this latter list, I'm feeling the Killer itch! 🔪

Hey Dionysus_666,
What platform did you experienced this on, and is there any other information regarding this issue that you feel may be pertinent?
-
Please remember that tagging the Dev Role in a thread they are not already involved is against the rules here on the Forum.
But to answer your question, a AFK can mean an IRL distraction or emergency (I personally had an IRL emergency to handle during a Nurse game 2 years ago). Or, yes, it could be Unsportsmanlike Conduct; one AFK without other rule-breaking behavior cannot discern this.
What will be acted upon by the ACMs is the repeated AFKs; establishing the pattern of Unsportsmanlike Conduct, and refusal to play the match normally. If a player AFKs, are reported (In-Game Report REQUIRED, Support Tickets is Optional), and is reported for AFKing in other matches just like you reported for, then they will very likely be dealt with per the rules and escalation process. Or, if a player admits in postgame chat they refused to participate further, that can possibly be seen as admission of Unsportsmanlike Conduct, and reported as well.
Tunneling, Slugging, Camping, etc are not reportable. To view the Game Rules and Report Process for violations, you can view them here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/139-game-rules

Oh man its hard to choose....
Wraith: The killer I fell in love with aesthetically when I saw Dead by Daylight for the first time waaaaaay back in spring 2016.
Trapper: The Killer I learned to love and is my #1
Hag: The Mori... the first time I saw it I just (out loud) said "THAT THE HECK?!?!.... omg I wanna use that mori again!"
Twins: I was out on an errand the morning they were announced, and I just saw a plain text DM from a friend that said "The next Killer are the Twins", and mentally I thought the Grady Twins or something... I was NOT expecting Charlotte and Victor, and because of that I love them <3
Dredge: Jumpscared me more than any killer, and even when I thought I was prepared to be jumpscared. Also so many great cosmetics, its hard to choose (though I mostly use the horse, of course ;) )
Singularity: Reminds me of something that (fortunately) I finally have gotten surgery for, and why my Hux will always wear yellow 💛

Closing this thread here. Constructive feedback is always appreciated, but please remember to keep discussions on the topic at hand, and to refrain from the discussion of controversial topics (I.e. politics, etc) as noted in our Forum Rules. Thank you.

I have 755 hours in this game, but obviously there would have been no way of knowing that as I haven't linked my steam or anything like that. How should I post the logs and the video then? The post wouldn't except certain file types and uploading a zip file was the only way that I could post it...
Thank you for elaborating the match a bit more. You can upload the video to Youtube (mark as unlisted) and link it, and the log can be posted on its own.
-
Just need to ask for clarity, is this dot visible at any other times? This includes other Killers, playing as survivor, playing other games, or using the television for TV/streaming?
-
As Crowman mentioned, if you're the last survivor in the match (your teammates escaped, killed with a mori, or sacrificed), you will be immediately sacrificed on hook regardless of previous hook states. If this was not the case, how close were you to going into the second stage on you initial hook, and is it possible you were just entered 2nd phase when unhooked?
-
It seems to be back now, thank you for your patience while it was being looked into! And appreciate you were writing the feedback @Chocolate_Cosmos I hope it won't be a hassle to rewrite it, we'd love as much thoughtful PTB feedback as can be given! ❤️
-
At this time, I am going to ask everyone to keep this discussion civil and respectful, please. If you wish to post a comment in this thread, please do so respectfully, and with the Forum Rules in mind.
And remember that a person's Identity is their IDENTITY, and as the Team has mentioned before; updates to a characters lore in regards to this topic will be done in a natural, non-stereotypical, and respectful manner to the character, and respectful to the LGBTQIA2S+ community as well:
