  • I wish this game had workshop support - That way BHVR could have more of a say in what people do and we could have fun. Of course cheaters gonna cheat why ruin the fun for the legitimate players?

    tl;dr - I want custom map support :<

  • Issue with Trickster is honestly the lack of ability to break chase to target someone else if you planned on using your power. Also a lack of map pressure because of the 110 movement speed and also slowing down to use power. If the first issue was solved where you could break chase with survivors and it have some lasting effect on them aside from an injury it would solve the second issue as well and allow Trickster to break chase more often. With how he is now he has to tunnel survivors constantly to get the most out of his power.

  • @shinymon said:

She is fine. Survivors hate hag because they like being chased and Hag is one special case who doesn't even need to commit to them, offering a very unique playstyle as one of the few defensive killers in the roster. Also if you do get one of those hags who just spam traps around hooks, then you are going against a bad hag and those are so easily bullied.

Even if they're easily bullied they're still camping someone on hook if they catch someone and it's a boring game where no one is going to pip or get bp because they are basically playing with a passive bot hovering around a hook. To be blunt.

I'm a killer main (Mind you - a very biased one) and I hate Hag but admittedly I hate Spirit more. If I could remove or rework killers on the roster it would be Spirit and then Hag and maybe Pig. Granted Pig I'd just rework into something less RNG and more consistent but the other two are like the most unfun thing to verse. They always make the game unfun or boring and honestly I wouldn't be surprised if deep down part of me is a killer main so I don't have to endure having those killers in my game. They're unfun and if I was a survivor main who had to play against them all the time I'd have uninstalled this game a long time ago. Granted I'm not too far from it now.

She is the better trapper at least and she can totally be annoying at times. Always my suggestion is to play as her for a lil while so you can figure out the proper strategies against her. Otherwise youll be crouch walking the entire match because you dont know what to do. She is limited in the amount of traps she can place and you dont want to allow her to trap a 3 gen area so the only real recourse is to flashlight her traps so you dont accidentally trigger them. This also doesnt alert her like it does with trapper and disarming his traps.

You won't always have a flashlight though and RNG doesn't always provide so we can't always assume that's a valid strat.

It's basically the "Bring this perk or item for this killer who may not even be present" and you essentially think why bother if it isn't going to give me consistent results. That's why we have meta perks is because they're consistent in all situations as opposed to running Calm Spirit for that one time you'll encounter a Doctor or Iron Will for that one time you'll run into a Spirit. Granted in regards to Iron Will that perk is just good in general so it is a meta perk. But it's an example - Why run Iron Will specifically for Spirit? You may as well run it for all killers not just with Spirit in mind.

  • lmao I love the fact that someone made this a video

    True though

  • To me since the start of their introduction to the game I'll never understand why killers like Bubba received so much hate when killers like Hag exist where they're designed to proxy and camp an area.

Hag has many counters yes but I feel Hag isn't healthy for the game because of their design. Unpopular opinion maybe but I would prefer more engaging killers that encourage chase and unique interactions in the game be added. Not killers that force the survivors to decide whose going to deal with the camping killer this time.

Been a discussion several times but I'd agree with the suggestions that upon unhook traps within the hook area should disappear along with any active phantasm traps.

Also I'm totally open to criticism because I main Nurse / Blight.

tl;dr - Cripple Hag's camping game and buff her somehow so she's more fun and engaging in chase. Maybe even going as far as making that Ultra Rare that lets her travel to any trap basekit but the basekit is only within like 12 meters or something.

Hag is boring - She can be fun but like 3 people know how to play her well and make her fun for survivors. Either she gets ran for 5 gens all the time or she facecamps all survivors to death I never see an in between.

  • tbh with the changes I felt reducing the knives was going to happen but I am curious why specifically 44 as well.

Yup, same here. I commit to pretending I’ve gone afk and they usually get bored and move away far enough that I can then run away.

The fact that this happens often enough to know this works is depressing, but the devs have never seemed that interested in removing the ability to grief other players from the game, to be honest.

That's how I feel - I've yet to see a good reason why the majority of the things we need video evidence to report for isn't address because in reality if they actually cared about the issues they would be resolved.

If we didn't have to worry about people body blocking to grief that would be one less thing to view submitted reports for and one less thing for us players to waste our precious ######### time on reporting by recording a video, possibly editing it and uploading it just to send in a ticket. Like jesus I get they have priorities but this seems like something that's a no brainer and straight forward to me.

Simple solution - When you receive crows you lose collision within 8 meters of the area you received crows in - Once you leave that area you need to wait again before soft collisions (Ability to pass through players) activate.

    Crazy simple right?

  • I've had my words be censored when in the same exact chat my friends could say the same exact thing and not be censored. The chat filter honestly makes no sense at all when it filters certain words for specific people.

  • I understand you're frustrated but I don't recommend even humoring the idea of using cheats.

However I'll agree with you on one thing - New player experience is awful and the new tutorial while nice that's upcoming won't change the fact that new players and even players who don't play like 4-5 hours a day will be woefully unprepared for people who play this all the time. They lack perks to be competitive and as killer you NEED perks to be competitive with many killers.

  • @Hex_Llama said:

If you lose collision, that means the killer can't hit you, doesn't it? If so, I can see problems with that, since it would mean that people can randomly go AFK without any danger to themselves.

Pill collision doesn't mean hitboxes need to be disabled - Easy thing for devs to implement. It would just mean movement collisions would be disabled for other players until crows go away. Although I feel crows should be reworked anyway but different topic I suppose. I remember them saying multiple times throughout the years before they bought their game back from Starbreeze they planned to rework afk crows but never did.

  • @Clowning said:

Next up, in hot takes: Trapper should get blinded when you step into his trap.

Spirit should get mind gamed when Survivors stand still.

  • Survivors who have crows should have their collisions removed and it would remove this problem and make it less frustrating for a player to decide on whether to wait until EGC ends the game or for them to DC. I've suggested this for years and I've yet to see a single reason why it shouldn't be a thing. "Just report them after game" isn't a solution when the damage is already done.

Zero scenarios in a normal game where sitting in a spot for a full minute and suddenly removing collisions will help against anyone except griefers.

  • I feel DS should activate at the gates and I'm a biased killer player so here's my reasoning.

In most cases if someone with Decisive Strike is escaping the hook and running from the exit gates there are three scenarios to this.

    • #1 The survivor with Decisive Strike was unhooked by another Survivor.
    • #2 The Survivor escaped off the hook on their own and has teammates waiting for them.
    • #3 The Survivor escaped off the hook on their own and they're the last one alive.

In Scenario #1 likely there are other survivors going to bodyblock for this survivor to get the gate or they're going to get the gate on their own. Either way it's easier to go for the rescuer because likely the unhooked has Borrowed Time anyways. If you go for the rescued survivor they likely crawl out anyway or DS you immediately and run out if you leave the rescuer alone.

In Scenario #2 likely the gate is 99'd and the survivors are going to bodyblock for the escapee anyway - Unlikely you catch them regardless in this scenario

In Scenario #3 I'll be honest you should just slug the survivor if they just got off the hook and they're alone this is just common sense. You can argue that if they're the last alive DS should just deactivate and I feel this is where the debate should be. Should DS deactivate for the last survivor alive if they unhook their self?

  • I honestly don't see a reason to use Furtive Chase when Beast of Prey exist tbh.

    Beast of Prey

    • +Can mind game in chase easier
    • +Can break chase easier
    • +Works on everyone consistently
    • -Need Bloodlust (15 seconds of chase)
    • -Losing chase means you need to start chase and spend another 15 seconds in chase to start Bloodlust again

    Furtive Chase

    • +Works instantly at the start of a chase when you have tokens
    • -Need to hook Obsession but cannot kill obsession in order to start getting use out of the perk
    • -Doesn't get max value initially - Needs to build up value
    • -Even if you use it to break chase survivors may know you're nearby due to smaller heartbeat being possible to hear + Red Stain
    • -Encourages Tunneling because you need to hook obsession constantly to get value out of perk. The rescuer will always become the obsession so encourages unfun playstyle if you really want to use the perk to its full potential.
    • -If you don't start chase with the right target you cannot get value out of perk
    • +Combo's well with Make Your Choice BUT...
    • -...The only synergy with Make Your Choice is you get your tokens faster and could just use Make Your Choice on its own.

The main takeaway here is Furtive Chase is unreliable and not consistent. Beast of Prey isn't great but at least it's consistent.

I would prefer Spine Chill didn't work against undetectable killers or while oblivious tbh.

  • Yes - The Shape is in desperate need for a rework. I'd change a lot about him but here's the three main things I'd change.

    • The Shape can multistalk now
    • The Shape can hold EW3 and activate at will (Similar to Oni when fully charged)
    • When The Shape fully drains a survivor their Evil Within will reset from Red (Fully drained) to White (Undrained) after 4 minutes.

Off topic, why isn't the fog like that any more? What we have now are like sad little farts emitted from the earth. Ghost Face and Myers would be more terrifying in that kind of a setting.

I've always wanted fog to return but more favoring killers it's just some maps aren't made for that anymore.

  • @LordGlint said:

I feel like even if it IS fitting with his lore and theme... Survivors might feel abit upset if the killer they go against can blast through the map with a gattling gun.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmSxy2JKTPw

Also wanna point out how he has enduring lvl 9000 since he doesnt even flinch when they unload into him. Those pallets though...

No one was asking for overpowered weapons we just wanted to see Nemmy use some sort of tech even if he was beating the ######### out of a survivor with a broken flamethrower he picked up. You know just something that shows Nemmy's true purpose aside from haha tentacle go brrrr.

  • Yeah Nemmy felt very underwhelming and the majority of people dismissed it like "hE cAn'T bE hIs OG fOrM" as if I wanted a Nemmy walking around the map insta gibbing with a Rocket Launcher. Like yeah Nemmy is a Bioweapon that could use weapons and that's his gimmick along with being a something that pursues people constantly but his live version is just frustrating to play against or boring in most situations I hate saying it but honestly.

He may be an average killer but he isn't fun - The ai while really cool is honestly hit or miss and most of the time excessively frustrating for one side. I don't want to see ai in the future unless it's following player commands. I don't want passive ai ever.

tl;dr - I'm a massive RE fan - Survivors were well done / Map visually looked good except the entity corruption garbage that is stupid and makes no sense that it's only on the RPD map and no other maps - Although they should have portioned off smaller bits of Resident Evil areas because RPD is too big for DBD / I am extremely disappointed with Nemmy because he's underwhelming and unfun to play as and againstt - All he does is whip over pallets and that's his thing. Not fun to play against.

  • There's barely anything unique to Spirit to learn as killer that you can't learn on other killers since her entire power is an incredibly strong phase / lunge that just needs you to be able to listen to sounds. Something that you can learn on every other killer especially when being flashlight blinded.

Low skill floor with high payoff essentially with an unfair and frustrating power to deal with.

    @MigrantTheGreat said:

I just don't understand why people are calling Spirit 'brain dead' or 'no skill' when survivor doesn't even require any skill or a brain to play, yet Spirit still has to use skill and have a brain to play.

She's not brain dead per se but again - Nothing really unique about her power to learn aside from the passive phasing aspect which is again braindead easy to learn. Everything else about her you can genuinely learn from playing other killers so she's a low skillfloor killer.

  • Trail of Torment, Tinkerer, Dying Light and Discordance + Vigo's Journal is my typical Blight build fight me.

  • @ThiccBudhha said:

I guess it depends on your definition of mastery. If you mean like peak perfection, he hasn't been out long enough for anyone to do that.

To be honest while I agree I don't really feel there's much to learn on Nemesis compared to other killers - Basically he's the same to an extent as Pyramid Head and Deathslinger in terms of using their power to zone survivors by faking it. Except with Nemesis it's more frustrating because survivors take priority over pallet.

  • This sounds like a Monstrous Shrine buff more than anything. Upon unhooking a survivor the basement stairs is blocked for 6 / 8 / 10 seconds.

Even so not sure I'd give it that change specifically.

  • @Phasmamain said:

Because I need to save them for later when the grind goes back to painful

This event just reminds me how offerings like the BPS and these cakes should just be common. Think of it it solves two issues.

Why use a mori or fog or other things when you could use a common offering for BP? Everyone is too busy getting BP to use their map offerings for example.

BPS should at least be uncommon because any offering that you want that's Green may as well be higher rarity than an Ultra Rare with all the ######### map offerings.

We shouldn't need to save them for later tbh it should just be a year around thing but maybe after the event drop the percentage to 80% or something or just introduce better BP offerings to entice everyone to use them to stack them.

  • Yes - As an environment artist / level designer but only if they ditched the flat randomly generated maps and allowed hand crafted maps with actual terain. All of their maps feel so unnaturally flat.

  • You'd probably see more builds if Blight's power worked with stuff like Exposed effects although I will admit he'd probably be overpowered in that case because insane mobility with exposed would be busted and you'd have to tone something down on him.

Right now his mobility is so good that his basic swing in the power is just complimented so much by his generic build. He also can defend Hex perks quite effectively. It's not really worth it to run other builds on him like let's say Surge because most of the time you won't proc it.

  • To be honest I feel like Plague is fine with how she is for the most part - Thing is the most efficient way to play her likely isn't how the devs intended her to be played.

  • Add breakable floors so I can bodyslam through the basement ceiling as Bubba

  • I slug survivors for fun all the time for the full bleedout timer and I've done this since 2016 - You should be fine :)

Slugging just makes the game easier - Don't hate the player hate the game.

If you want to know why - Slugging is purely a psychological thing - Survivors get very altruistic when they believe they can save a survivor who hasn't been hooked yet and practically hand themselves over to the killer trying to make the save. This makes it excessively easy to slug everyone. Eventually I might hook everyone but they choose to crawl to the corners of the map trying to hide basically extending the game anyway because they don't want to dishonor their team by being found and sacrificed so they figure waste my time when I've already won.

Also if slugging wasn't desired they wouldn't have perks and addons dedicated to slugging.

  • Pair flashbang with Headon it becomes pretty nasty.

I use it immediately when stunning the killer unless they have enduring. Breaks chase almost every time.

The devs don't want to give killers the hook status of every survivor, and this is really just for Obsession builds.

Yep - I know - Still don't agree with BHVR but as I mentioned your suggestion is the next best option. It also makes sense but admittedly I would be surprised if BHVR went through with it because enabling that would be enabling people to pressure them to just enable it for all survivors.

  • While I do agree with you and you have sound reasoning I feel it would be better to just give killer the ability to see all hooks. I get the argument of "would encourage tunneling" but killers are going to tunnel someone regardless and if they plan to make sure someone dies they're going to do it without the need to remember the hook status.

Granted regardless your suggestion is the next best option so I support it.

  • No - Why would I? Same as a killer - I don't care if you're a rank 20 I'm going to dumpster you and give you a warm welcome to the game.

Post game I'll give new players tips and advice but that's it.

  • Chris looks like a mix of Code Veronica and Resident Evil 5 Chris to me - His arms and jawline are similar to RE5's Chris but the rest of him looks like Code Veronica's Chris.

    https://youtu.be/8gdFJVa51Zs

  • I use Hope - The perk is fine - It extends the time on a single chase by so much in end game.

Wake Up is debatable - On one hand I feel it's main niche is actually the aura for your teammates but in an SWF that part of the perk is useless. If you buff the opening speed too much then it becomes pretty broken and personally I wouldn't buff it in that way. Opening gates is already fast enough as is. I would prefer the team aspect of this perk be buffed somehow but admittedly I'm not sure how you would go about that. Probably making other survivors see the aura of every other survivor as well.

  • To be honest I'd prefer that Furtive Chase have another effect when the Obsession dies to where your tokens being consumed is actually impactful. Then again the perk is so niche I'm impressed if you actually get use out of it. To me it would be more beneficial to just run Monitor & Abuse for getting closer to start a chase or even Beast of Prey to throw people off at long tiles or to make breaking chase easier.

As for the obsession dying hurting me - Can't really relate to that problem - A dead survivor is a dead survivor.

  • Between Haddonfield, Swamp and Red Forest it's a hard tossup but I'd say Swamp although literally just by a hair over Haddonfield.

Haddonfield needs a complete art pass and more unique structures. It also needs more movie references to the movies so I feel Haddonfield needs the most care.

Swamp looks like garbage and plays like garbage on both sides so I'd say Swamp needs it the most - BHVR also has the luxury of this being an original realm so they don't need to worry about meeting license holder expectations and can do what ever with it.

Aside from the size of it Red Forest is for the most part fine - The only thing BHVR really needs to do is scale both maps in this realm down but an artpass would help too.

    tl;dr - Swamp

    @Wavy said:

Haddonfield is fine btw. I dont understand why people want a haddonfield rework. Its the only survivor sided map leave haddonfield alone.

It is not the only survivor sided map lol

Haddonfield is not fine either good lord. So many things wrong with this pos map I don't blame people for afk'ing or DC'ing on it.

  • Honestly - If they can't handle releasing stable updates consistently for all platforms then yes.

Here's the thing - If they want to keep upgrading their systems on the game and adding new features it's really a matter of answering these two questions.

    • Can old consoles handle the technology / features BHVR wants to add?
    • Can BHVR consistently handle implementing these systems on older gen consoles?

Deep down most of you probably feel BHVR can't handle it - How long do even current gen consoles go while struggling with performance? Now consider last gen consoles and imagine how bad it probably is. BHVR can barely handle a stable release on PC. Yeah they eventually take care of it but the thing is they don't have enough time to release consistent stable releases and it shows.

So to shorten the whole post it really all boils down to one thing - Can BHVR consistently release a stable update for all platforms with minor issues? In my view for what ever reason it's an obvious no. Every major update has several massive issues that emerge even after PTB testing.

  • Don't add more zombies - Instead increase their movement speed so they cover more ground + can be kited easier and improve pathing so they stop getting stuck.

  • @MeltingPenguins said:

    Naw.

Is it great for RE fans? Sure,

But even if you know the layout, it's just a pain. It's a map that'd be great for a mode with more players, but fir the regular 4:1 matches? nope. even if they'd add a minimap

I mean I used to speedrun re2 (og & remake) and while I know the layout sometimes I struggle to navigate the map. It's too big and could be split into 2 maps. Granted I'd prefer them reworking RPD so if they split it they add more areas to each side. They should have had 5 more compacts maps from re2 / re3 rather than 1 big one.

In the situation described, (I would think) video might be confirmation of working with the killer.

True killer is free to grant mercy or kill everyone. I'd leave it to the devs though as to how far mercy can go before it's a partnership.

I also agree with exposing another to escape, but that usually doesn't involve flaunting your presence in front of the killer or is it necessary. There is a big difference between triggering the hatch and being given it

I'll give the hatch to who ever I want however I want. If a survivor outs someone who was annoying I'll spare them as a consolation prize assuming they immediately leave when they can. As I said as a killer I come first. I don't care what the survivor does on their end as it isn't my problem nor my obligation to please everyone.

It needs to be very blatant like them seeking each other out from the start or something and the survivor body blocking teammates to grief. Ultimately you can't prove the killers guilt in this just the survivor. That's pretty much the survivor griefing. You likely need a confession to prove killer guilt.

  • @DemonDaddy said:

Can for sure report the teammate for working with the killer.

Normally the killer isn't doing anything wrong when slugging for a 4k though.

As a killer you don't have to kill certain survivors - There's no rule saying I have to kill a certain survivor and there's no rule saying you can't out other survivors to save your own life. Been talked about a lot in the past and even devs / mods have clarified on this. It has to be pretty blatant for them to do anything.

Like if I have a survivor clicking a torch at me wanting me to chase them am I working with them if I choose not to and they follow me? Same concept with the last survivor - I don't care if they're just conveniently ratting out their teammate I'm just playing my own game. If it works out for them somehow then cool - Don't care.

  • I do wear only the pride charm, but I doubt it was for this reason.

I doubt this as well - Probably not worth mentioning honestly. This is also why I hated the fact that BHVR added representation in game because now people are just going to worry about this or use it as an excuse etc.

    Spoiler Spoiler Warning ▲▼

    P.S. - I'm gay and I don't say that out of "hate"

As for your game - Being honest here as a biased killer player - You said you do 4 gens while they slugged the other survivors? Do you hide most of the game? Were you never hooked while the other 3 survivors were? Honestly if I have those games where I'm dumpstering 3 survivors and there's this 4th survivor who is hard to find I will spare one survivor if they sell out their teammate because I genuinely hate immersed / hiding players. They're boring and put too much pressure on the other 3 survivors and I hate dealing with that as survivor so I will pretty well do what your killer did.

It's not about winning it's about sending a message.

  • @fr0sty1223 said:

5 games in a row I had a killer who went around slugging everyone and then just left everyone to bleee out. The next 3 games after that the killers I faced all face camped 1 survior all game. Killers are intentionally trying to ruin games to make people quit right now and the devs do nothing about it. Something needs to be done

I 100% blame this on BHVR for the event not the killers.

Here's the thing - As killer it's easier to quickly remove 2 people from the game to locate the Crown unless you get lucky and run into it. Not everyone has a lot of time to play so they need to resort to more efficient ways of making things easier. As for camping honestly more so likely the same boat but maybe some people don't like the event.

The pedestal thing is an interesting concept but honestly does anyone really like having to go into game as each character to get a specific crown? Pretty sure everyone could live without having to do that. The event should just be "Retrieve the Crown X amount of times during the event to unlock all Crowns for this side" like 5 times on each side. So you can play your perked out characters without ruining games and not worry about being weakened because of the event. Also would make it less tedious in general.

And yes I'll say it even from my bias as a killer player - Once you find the crown as survivor you should keep it even after death. There is indeed games where a killer will hard focus survivors with the golden aura. They're also much easier to find so sometimes I don't even blame the killer.

I don't know how people defend this event it will only get worse next year when there is 4 more characters on each side if they redo the same thing.

  • I'm a Resident Evil fanboy and honestly they didn't accommodate the map at all for Dead by Daylight. As much as I love the attention to detail they should have done what RE:Verse is doing with their version and accommodated it for the game. If you look at the trailer for RE:Verse - The hallways are shorter and wider, rooms are more compact, doorways are usually removed for a larger entry way. Admittedly when I saw this map from REVerse I immediately thought they'd be assisting BHVR because their version almost looked perfect for DBD.

Blight is unplayable on RPD, Nurse is unplayable on RPD, Hillbilly is excessively difficult on RPD, Huntress is excessively difficult on RPD. Pretty well the only killers who are decent on RPD are stealth killers and basic M1 killers. Leatherface isn't bad on the map and Trapper is okay on the map not because of hiding spots for traps but because you literally cannot run around the traps in most situations.

My view of the current version is they need to split the West Wing and East Wing into different maps only allowing small bits of the opposite wing when available. Also don't understand why they didn't open up the coin statue in the center lobby for something. Wonderful map in regards to attention to detail but they did not accommodate most killers at all.

Also again 4 killers being practically unplayable is unacceptable for a map. It's bad enough when it's just 1 for new maps.

Also it is not an exaggeration - THEY ARE UNPLAYABLE. Especially for Blight unless they fixed the collision issue.

  • Nemesis is very weak but I still view him as unfun territory and not a fan of his his tentacle prioritizes survivor over pallet. The moment you see a few Nemmy mains popping up more you're going to see more people complaining about that. I am but I'm not saying nerf him but I feel he needs a rework of some sort.

There are situations where it won't matter if you run or use a pallet he'll still hit you. It's a similar situation to killers who can fake their power for hits but Nemesis is a lot easier to handle. I also feel his power in its current state while weak isn't good for the game but again in due time we'll see how it goes.

  • It should be a healthy balance of casual players and above average players who determine the balance of the game.

Casual players help dictate what can be fun and above average skill players can help dictate sensible features and avoid frustrating gameplay features. Again a healthy balance is needed you shouldn't prioritize one or the other.

The real question is - Do you trust BHVR to take feedback from the right people?

  • I feel the most blatant change was changing the knife laceration meter from 8 to 6. Rest of them are pretty nice for the most part but I still feel he's not going to be really fun to verse.

Granted I feel this is a good set of changes for him. I feel one of the bigger issues he has and always will have is switching targets and pressuring the map. For example mid chase someone can just block the knives being thrown and you pretty much end up being forced to switch to m1. This is especially obvious end game where you can't do anything without main event. This is why I feel main event shouldn't have a timer and maybe he should be able to do splash damage or something along those lines.

One of his issues was the time it took to down someone but the knives going from 8 to 6 is actually a big deal. It addresses the problem although I won't say it solves it. The other issue is he needs to hard focus a single target and can't really switch with his power. This is pretty much what will lose Trickster the game from experience.

At least BHVR is trying I am admittedly surprised Trickster got any changes at all.

  • Tutorials are getting improved even more and now you'll be able to have normal bot matches.

I was waiting for the mid chapter to see if they did something about this because after the last update I have a massive post to make about the tutorial because I actually care about the new player experience.

Will be waiting for the new tutorial and I have expectations but here's the three takeaways.

    • The tutorial did a poor job at explaining things and usually did things AFTER the fact instead of before or during.
    • The tutorial often took away control from the player and didn't feel great to go through - A good example of this was during your first chase sequence with Meg when you strike her a prompt TAKES away control from the player and even HIDES the screen so you don't see the scratchmarks the awful pop up is trying to describe. Not only is it frustrating because you lose control but it basically prevents you from seeing what it's actually trying to explain instead of seeing the Meg run and actively create scratchmarks.
    • The tutorial doesn't let you just press a button to skip prompts but instead you need to manually click on it which is honestly odd - This was at least with KB / M. This is more frustrating than it seems.

I have a huge post just ready for the tutorial but again was anticipating this so I'll definitely be giving feedback on this tutorial and again - I have high expectations - They've had this awful tutorial for years and they even received feedback on the initial release on it and it took them this long just to get to touching it up - So yeah - No excuses for anything.

  • I want the crown thing to stop - The battlepass is enough. What do we do next year? A year 6 crown with 4 additional characters on each side?

I hate it - I would prefer that you pick up a crown for one side and you have it for all characters on that side or give us some challenge event thing to fill up like older events OR better yet ideally do what BHVR used to do in their original old celebrations / events and just give us the item for the crown.

if there wasn't many characters sure - But it's honestly a chore having to go through every single character just to collect the crown. People will say you don't HAVE to get it but the thing is if you enjoy this game and play it why wouldn't you? It's just why does BHVR have to make it so grindy / tasking.

Also for those who disagree with me say the same thing to me next year when we have 4 more characters on each side that also have to get the year 6 crown along with the previous ones. Absolute insanity.
