The lullaby is huge, at around 45 meters radius. Players are used to hearing it a lot, even if the Huntress isn't that close. When the 20m TR is removed, it's surprsing how often you can "sneak" up on players who are expecting a TR warning when she's close. Wooden Fox seems to be working fine.

This is just theory crafting because I've not bothered with the addons but I have a question about a scenario or what I imagine happens.

So Huntress is a 110 killer and there is only 15 seconds to get close to a survivor right? In most cases wouldn't you be apparently obvious where you were before reloading if you're that close to use the addon in the first place? Also lockers / reloading isn't silent either in fact lockers are quite loud.

What I mean is though - For a survivor to not realize you were that close wouldn't you have to be 20 meters away so they weren't in the TR in the first place? Would you even be able to properly sneak up on a survivor using this addon where it wouldn't have just been a coincidence? Also within that distance and time restriction?

I suppose I'd need to see it in action but I've never seen the point of this addon. If the lullaby became global along with a silent TR similar to Spirit's addon that makes the whirrrr global during phase I could maybe see more use of it personally but that's just me.

Maybe you have a few vods you'd recommend to show off this addon being used? I've genuinely never seen it in play although would like to see it utilized properly.

Either way thank you for the POV / take on this addon.

  • tbh regarding Trickster I bought him a bit ago with shards and I feel even as a Nurse player I have zero use for his perks. Maybe you'll find a gimmick or a playstyle that suits you with some of his perks but for me they're pretty weak or redundant since I have zero issue already downing people.

As for playing the killer - Honestly feels awful playing him so props to anyone who is good with him somehow. I see zero reason to play Trickster over let's say Huntress, Deathslinger or even let's say Plague. You can give the fun argument but his ability is clunky as hell to use and has too much spread so you can't even wildly throw knives at decent survivors to have fun unless they run in a straight line like an idiot.

The only redeeming thing about Trickster is how insane he sounds with his voice responses.

If you really love Spirit I'd lean towards her cosmetics personally.

To be fair. They worded it piss poorly. Giving people the notion that it was windows, and not boarded up windows. Which would of been a rediculous nerf. Even more rediculous then being able to avoid it just by crouching

Yeah pretty much if BHVR wasn't overly vague about things to where they have to clarify in a Twitter post the community wouldn't be misled half the time. How many times do you see the community get confused over a change just for BHVR to just clarify on a twitter post not even a day later?

Purely a communication issue - patch notes may as well have been read out like an addon

    • Considerably reduced the chances for The Nemesis to use their power through some windows.

But stats say that Nemesis is the most played killer right now🤔

Probably people trying to get adept at this point or who genuinely love Resident Evil and the killer. I played him quite a bit - Love the killer thematically - But admittedly while the zombies are the coolest part about his power the tentacle is a little underwhelming and could use some touch ups. I don't even know what it could use because it's one of those weird things that if you overbuff it then there's no reason to M1. Nemesis is one of those killers that kind of treads that line at the moment imo.

Like I one tricked Nemesis for a while but that was just trying to get Adept with him. Once I got that I honestly would prefer just playing other killers. To me the main gimmick of Nemmy is the zombies not his actual power. No other reason I'd want to play him aside from the silly tracking he gets.

Boarded up windows. Things you shouldn't be able to hit through unless you're PH or Slinger. As his tentacle doesn't go through walls (PH) or is absolutely miniscule (Slinger), and slams down in an arc, it shouldn't go through walls.

This was confirmed by the dbd twitter account.

    https://twitter.com/DeadByBHVR/status/1409890377977503767?s=19

I mean I get it but is it a small gap that's super precise that he hits through or was it just the boards on the window were ignored entirely? To me if you hit through a small opening imo you should get the hit. Also I mean it's a tentacle that can move around it's not like it's a giant sword. In the DBD trailer the tentacle goes through a tiny hole in a brick wall and I in the main game (Remake) Nemmy sends it through the caged gate at the clocktower entrance. Not the best example but it does kind of make sense that it could go through an opening.

We've all had the situations as survivor wher we get unhooked. Only to find that our savior has vanished into thin air, leaving us injured as you hear the heartbeat grow louder.

We've also been on the other end of the spectrum, where we pull a move so smooth brained that it puts us back on th hook.

Point is that it's not always the killer being a dick that causes the tunneling. Sometimes our teammates leave the killer no better option, or we put ourselves back on the hook with a bad decision.

Yes it sucks to be on the receiving end, but sometimes it just happens.

This is almost always the issue - What's going to be easier to immediately run into? Healthy survivor hiding so I can't find scratchmarks or injured survivor leaving pools of blood, wailing in pain and leaving scratchmarks because they're having a panic attack while running because their teammate unhooked them in proximity of the killer.

I think the answer is obvious.

  • You posted the answer yourself

Killer meta perks on the other hand are harder to counter.

    Killer meta PERKS

You cant counter Tinkerer, you cant counter Pop Goes The Weasel, you can counter Ruin + Undying but it takes so much time. You can counter NOED but it takes so much time, you cant counter bamboozle.

Hm - So the killers are running perks popular with the meta?

Why not run perks that would counter these perks instead of running the same perks every game?

You can counter Tinkerer - Be aware of your surroundings and don't get snuck up on - Yes the killer patrols gens easier with it but a lot of perks give detection to gens being worked on - The solution is to make sure you're working on a gen far away or just do luck of the draw and have two survivors working on a gen at once to split the killers attention - If you see a survivor working on a generator be aware of their position and work on a generator farther away and try to keep the same % so both gens proc Tinkerer at once forcing the killer to choose which gen to take. If not just wait for the killer to chase the survivor off the other gen and finish it yourself. - This is a teamwork oriented issue

Pop Goes The Weasel can be countered with several perks survivors have it just means you have to run different perks - That or ensure the survivor goes down far away from a gen that's being worked on - This is a teamwork oriented issue

Countering Ruin + Undying is easy and takes two perks off the killers roster permanently for the trial - This is a teamwork oriented issue

For Bamboozle just be aware of your surroundings and be prepared to not re-use the same window twice in a row - That's really all this is telling me - Either you put yourself in a bad spot or you don't know how to chain different windows together. - This is a you issue on being able to run the killer

By "you people" I meant people who act like that. It is not generalising to point something you do. You are the one remembering player names so you can target them for standing at the gate to give you a hit.

But like I said I will stop, I don't want to annoy people even if my intentions weren't bad. Have a nice day.

I remember names but I don't hard focus them - Their entire team suffers for their decisions not just them - If I'm survivor I'll play normally but chances are I'm just going to hard focus objectives and not hook save the annoying players.

I also remember the names of trolls just like I'm sure the majority of the playerbase does. Ever run into that one player who just runs up and farms people in front of the killer? That's the type of person you remember so next time you see them on the hook you just let them die. Ever have one of those players who literally just ruined your game completely and it wasn't by playing normal? I guarantee you everyone on this forum has a name in mind for someone who has ruined their experience at least once. Most won't admit it but they likely do.

Either way - Hope you have a nice day

I will give you hook at the end of every game (I even said I do it sometimes) if that will make you happy. Humans on the other side of the screen are your sworn enemies, that is how you people see each other. No wonder this community is so toxic tbh.

But fine I will stop doing it if it makes you rage so hard in a video game. Think about this tho are you projecting? Do you see win or loss more important than everything else so you think others see it that way and you try to portray every action someone does as camouflaged evil?

And there is no amount of excuse for generalising everyone. I played both roles and I still don't hate everyone on the other side like they killed my family when I play one more.

You people take this game very seriously and egoistically but whatevs I will stop so you don't get even more gray hairs.

We will treat others like objects, not humans. No gg's nothing. Just finish our games and leave so we can move on to another game where we play as soulless individuals.

Meme games warm my heart after experiences like these because I know that not everyone turned into a hateful person only obsessed with win or loss.

If survivor escape or they did their objectives it doesn't mean they hate you as a person. If killer kills you it doesn't mean they would hurt you in real life.

And why would anyone be upset about the mori? It is nerfed into the ground. But I wouldn't mind if you mori me after the first hook like before either. I would just be sad how mad you get at people for no reason to hold grudges and target them. Just shows what kind of person you are.

You people really are something else and no amount of "I was bullied" justifies that.

You're reading too far into it - Point being don't waste my time - If you think my post is meant to dehumanize people you need to take a step back from the game

But fine I will stop doing it if it makes you rage so hard in a video game. Think about this tho are you projecting? Do you see win or loss more important than everything else so you think others see it that way and you try to portray every action someone does as camouflaged evil?

I don't rage - I just genuinely don't like the majority of the people I play with in DBD because they're entitled. Me? I'm not entitled but I'm 100% willing to be petty just for fun - I will slug a survivor for 4 minutes as killer just for looking at me funny and I'll use broken map offerings with unfun perk combos as survivor I don't care about pips or bloodpoints

I don't see games as a win or a loss I see games as trying new builds and having new experiences. Worrying about winning or losing in this game is stupid because even BHVR has no idea what the win condition is half the time. Most of the time it's just accumulate X amount of points. I do however care about someone wasting my time whether it being some Claudette with Spine Chill who thinks it's cute to hide for 10 minutes not only annoying me but screwing over their own team but I also find great annoyance in survivors who think killers actually care about the pitiful BP they get smacking you out of the gates. Are those people real? Are they genuinely serious and believe that makes a killers day?

nd there is no amount of excuse for generalising everyone. I played both roles and I still don't hate everyone on the other side like they killed my family when I play one more.

I didn't generalize EVERYONE but if you're offended by it chances are you're one of the people I'm talking about - If you're not offended move on and have a nice day :)

You people take this game very seriously and egoistically but whatevs I will stop so you don't get even more gray hairs.

    Good - Thanks for understanding

We will treat others like objects, not humans. No gg's nothing. Just finish our games and leave so we can move on to another game where we play as soulless individuals.

Yeah - Sounds good - That's already how most of the community is - It's either 90% of people flaming the killer no matter what they did or they all silently leave if they got ######### on - As for the killer yeah some can be toxic too - Most of the time from experience the toxic people are the SWF's and no that doesn't mean they're good either - I bet you're thinking I'm toxic for stating the obvious - I generally am pretty chill in game and always give criticism and try to help inexperienced players - I just have absolutely zero tolerance for idiots and trolls in game - That doesn't mean everyone who stands at the exit gate is one of those two things but it doesn't make it any less annoying.

As for toxicity honestly I blame BHVR for how the majority of the community has become and even my viewpoints on how to handle them. Took them a while to address toxicity, several toxic streamers are allowed to exist - It took them forever just to address one of their toxic content creators but by then the damage was done and it's taken years just to weed out the fans of this player to the point where they either moved on or grew out of their little phase.

Aside from that some game mechanics and even the battle pass encourages toxicity in this game just by existing. It creates annoying matchmaking conditions and people focus on farming optional side objectives rather than playing the game normally. BHVR's battlepass is ruining this game more than anything else is right now and you won't ever change my mind on this. It's too grindy for a normal human who works a 9/5 job without being able to enjoy other things.

Meme games warm my heart after experiences like these because I know that not everyone turned into a hateful person only obsessed with win or loss.

Meme games aren't for everyone and this mindset honestly ruins the game more than anything - Some people literally just want to play the game regardless of a win or a loss.

Also - What does meme games have to do with my post? Seems like you're just shoehorning a bunch of stuff in that isn't relevant to what I said.

If survivor escape or they did their objectives it doesn't mean they hate you as a person. If killer kills you it doesn't mean they would hurt you in real life.

You're reading too far into this - I don't have anything against a player as a person - I just don't like how oblivious some players are - If they do their objectives cool - Take your victory and leave unless you plan to do something else in trial - Seems simple no?

And why would anyone be upset about the mori? It is nerfed into the ground. But I wouldn't mind if you mori me after the first hook like before either. I would just be sad how mad you get at people for no reason to hold grudges and target them. Just shows what kind of person you are.

Survivors are entitled and still DC to a mori - You'd be surprised how butthurt survivors get to dying to a mori in any fashion. It's a personal attack to a survivor most of the time to mori them. So much so most of them are willing to go on the forums and cry about it. Have you looked at the Steam Discussions? The majority of those post are how a lot of players act in game. (X is broken / op without any proper reasoning aside from they died to it)

As for the person I am - You honestly seem extremely offended at my statement so I genuinely feel like you're the type of player I'm referring to - If you can't handle criticism and the real truth on how most players feel then maybe you should stop doing what most players hate - Most of us spend enough time in matchmaking nowadays we don't want to give you a hi5 on your way out of the map - Spare us both and just leave the trial.

You people really are something else and no amount of "I was bullied" justifies that.

I like how you accused me of generalizing people and you literally say "You people" to start this one off.

  • Just leave - You're wasting my time and if you were annoying enough about not leaving I'll likely bring a mori if I see you again.

Unless you plan to make a play or you're trying to distract me sure - But I don't give a ######### about giving you a pat on the back to leave. I find those survivors who just stick around and try to justify it as "give the killer points" very irritating. It would be quicker for you to leave so I can queue again rather than walking across the map to hit you for what? Less than 1k bp? Oh how generous. If you want to give handouts then just let me hook you then.

    @shalo said:

I'll get more bloodpoints in the first 30 seconds of the next game than the last 30 seconds of this game.

Probably the best way to summarize how I feel. Let me get to queue faster if you really want to help the killer get their BP.

  • It's a frustrating perk but it ultimately only saves like 7-8 seconds for the survivor. What are they going to do while you're breaking the gen? At worst they ninja it underneath you and finish it. This perk seems like it would be annoying to deal with on a gen with at least 3 open spots. That way when the killer is occupying one then two survivors can run in and try to finish the gen.

Overall though it has a high requirement for a perk that again takes up a perk slot from meta perks and only blinds and stuns the killer WHILE they break gens. Ultimately you have to be willing to take crazy risk with Blast Mine to get any reward for it.

Frustrating? Yes - Strong? Could be but in most cases I see it just being annoying to deal with at most.

My opinion of the perk may change in the future but right now is just seems like an average perk. It's not weak because it does waste time but to me right now it just delays you breaking a gen.

If anything his purple tombstone piece is OP not the pink one

I could actually agree with this - Granted I wouldn't change it aside from giving it either a more obvious tell or shortening the duration slightly or only allowing one kill per game.

The Pink Tombstone is balanced because you'll never get EW3 because of how slow you are unless you use PWYF.

  • I've legit never seen a Shape player get EW3 with both ultra rare addons past rank 10 until the gates are at least powered or opened. You have to be pretty new or inexperienced to let this happen or make such a bad misplay that you throw the game.

Here's the reality of it - The Shape is a bad killer and a lot of people underestimate him because of it and just let him stalk because they don't worry about his power. This is the only reason he ever even gets a tombstone kill.

    Dio Brando.

Because Jojo's is the only anime I've ever seen.

If I picked Jojo's Bizarre Adventure I'd pick Yoshikage Kira instead of Dio. More interesting power possibilities while also potentially being more fair. Granted still could be a pretty bullshit power to balance.

    https://youtu.be/OcY6MYpQuPU

Regarding anime / manga I'm not entirely sure if relevant but I'd pick Spawn.

Realistically I'd say Kill La Kill but I sure as ######### know that isn't happening. Although I'd take Ryoku Matoi as a survivor.

  • Ignore streamer drama and a lot of the criticism and questioning the community has (Minus Killer Survivor OP arguments) are pretty reasonable.

I honestly question how each chapter ends up so buggy at times. A small amount of bugs sure but we'll have a PTB and then bugs that weren't even in the PTB will emerge.

Yeah stuff happens I get it but it's far too frequent I just want to know what's going on behind the scenes more and what the devs thought process is on a lot of things. Specifically their thought process on how they wanted to balance Trickster for example. I appreciate BHVR I really do but nobody gets a free pass in life.

  • I don't buy cosmetics because a lot of them are honestly quite disappointing. Sorry not paying 4 dollars for slightly different hair on a survivor. Not buying clothing that looks like it was made in Marvelous Designer either.

If you don't know what that is it's just a program that can quickly make clothes for your game characters / assets - Plenty of games have used it for their cosmetics - Not saying BHVR does but if I pay for cosmetics I have expectations and a lot of their cosmetics usually look boring at least to me.

  • Licensed outfits - Perfectly fine - Won't even argue.

Non licensed outfits - There are some pieces that could be separated. Imo they should work on a way to link two specific parts of a three piece set that way the non broken piece can be worn separately. Simple solution is.

    • You must buy the full set if anything is linked
    • If there's part of a cosmetic that requires another to look proper - Force it (Turso / Legs as an example)
    • Allow rest of outfit to split.

That would be the most reasonable compromise at least for non licensed stuff.

  • They should at least increase the cap of each category to 10k and go from there. I mean come on - Oh no there's a chance to get an extra 8k BP each game. How could BHVR? The Blood economy is going to crash!

Really though grind is bad nothing new but yeah.

    Well, maube roast a little.

Let's be honest here if someone makes a pretty awful mistake it's pretty hard to resist not roasting them for it. Granted I feel those are rare. Even if it's all in good fun like dropping the pallet in chase on the wrong side and getting swatted down for it.

  • Most people are too arrogant and fragile to take criticism. I don't struggle to win versus most killers but I do recognize I make mistakes. Granted I feel there's a difference between mistakes you could avoid if you knew something you didn't and mistakes you made while having all the information on hand. Case by case basis I feel.

If I get time I'll dump one of my games here and you can roast my gameplay I'm just busy.

FYI I'm a killer (Nurse / Blight) Main.

  • @papichulo said:

Spine chill should be kept as is. I dont think it should need a nerf/buff/rework. Honestly, so many killers have won against it so it doesnt even matter.

Nah - Change it or rework stealth killers so most of their power isn't gimped by detection perks. Many killers win against it because most survivors are trash not because the perk is bad. The perk is undervalued a lot however there is other perks that obviously over shadow it because the meta perks give second chances in many scenarios like resetting chase, avoiding getting hooked or slugged, etc.

And so what if it gets changed? What does this really affect?

The Shape, The Ghost Face, The Pig and The Wraith primarily? Oh no we may buff mid tier killers at best.

The real change would be if Spine Chill didn't proc versus Undetectable or while Oblivious is it would actually make some perks better that killers use.

And again ALL the perk needs changed is it needs to not work versus Undetectable or while you're oblivious and that's it. Everything else about the perk can stay the same.

Premonition should get reworked because it's overshadowed by Spine Chill in every way and is garbage just in general. However I still say the same about this perk as well granted it has a cooldown and Spine Chill has 100% uptime.

    @van9684 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/258747/spine-chill-change

Yeah leave it alone. Killers have enough op perks that can totally take game hostage. Plus most high rank players do not use spine chill I’ve seen. It’s more a newbie perk for the blendettes.

I see plenty of people at rank 1 survivors with 1000+ hours use it and do well. Both while I'm survivor and killer. It's not exclusively used by newbie or bad players although I still feel it breeds bad players.

  • I don't believe what you're asking is unreasonable and I don't believe you're asking Wraith to be gutted. However I do disagree with you on the fact that this addon needs to be nerfed. However I will compromise and say that it could easily switch with one of Wraith's ultra rare's and be fine.

I'd honestly just swap it with All-Seeing Spirit personally and then tone that addon down as it would be a purple. To me though none of his addons are an issue.

    @Satelit said:

I DO think Spine Chill needs changes, but this isn’t a Spine Chill thread.

Honestly the one thing I'll admit is if Spine Chill didn't proc against Undetectable killers or while Oblivious I wouldn't mind what you're suggesting as I think it would be perfectly reasonable in that case. Stealth killers in this game just in general need another glance at.

  • People who report for camping / tunneling should be perma banned from the game without question I don't care who you are try to change my mind on this.

In the very least disable their ability to report.

Here's what needs to happen with an automated report system - Reports need to be limited per user so they only have a set amount of reports a week. That way they'll only use them where it matters. If there's not enough reports weekly BHVR can tone it up don't give me the excuse "BUT WHAT IF I RUN OUT OF REPORTS".

Chances are you waste them if you run out.

  • Yeah I feel like it should be standard that if BHVR actually had to resort to disabling content due to crashing they should just disable the DC penalty temporarily until they know if that was the only thing crashing everything.

  • Looks like she ate a lemon.

Maybe it's similar to the issue the other legendary skin had on Jonathon Byers?

Which makes no sense nerfing an entire perk for just 1 specific killer mechanic. A mechanic that is limited to begin with and can be further limited by the killer's add-ons. That to me is the funniest part to me, is that the items were a limited qty anyway lol.

Comes off as a lazy fix honestly because they don't care what happens to a perk.

Everyone has said it - Make the Vaccine immune to Franklin's - Suddenly easy fix.

If they want consistency which they boast about so much then make a new Item Quality and apply it to the Vaccine and make it so Franklin's doesn't work on that item quality type and add it to the perk description of Franklin's.

I will give them this though - At least they were honest about the reason which I'll respect in that matter but oh my god I can't believe that was their decision.

  • +1: Happened after I completed tutorial to see how it has changed - Lost loadouts on all my characters - Was quite frustrating having to fix every single loadout I had.

  • @EQWashu said:

Franklin's was changed mostly due to the vaccine with Nemesis being a single use item. The perk would destroy the vaccine and render them unusable.

Also another thing about Franklin's and this change.

I get it - BHVR wants consistency but here's the thing. Just give a special rule on the perk that items of a set rarity cannot be dropped and make the Vaccine the only rarity of this item.

That way it can be clearly listed in the rules of the perk and it isn't confusing and you don't dumpster the perk. It also sets up the perk for the future so if more items are added you can make them immune easily too with no confusion.

  • @nickofford said:

It was way too strong of a perk that would punish survivors even if they won by taking away their item , so I'm glad it got changed.

At least now they can balance it with how charges per second it takes away from items and change it accordingly.

Also not to mention that in solo queue you had no idea the perk was in play until YOU yourself got hit and then loop the killer and/or stay on the hook for 90 seconds and BAM your item is gone with no shot of getting it back.

    lol

That isn't changed - you can still be punched in the back of the head before leaving gates - What are you going to do? Die for an item?

This solves nothing about losing the item when leaving a trial.

  • @EQWashu said:

Franklin's was changed mostly due to the vaccine with Nemesis being a single use item. The perk would destroy the vaccine and render them unusable.

Why not just make a special exception for the item?

Now Killers will just tunnel the survivors to death like before.

  • They're good IF you play them in what is considered the most toxic and unfun playstyle. Absolutely bad if you play them like a normal killer.

  • All the Nightmare On Elm Street maps. If I get them my fun drops to zero and usually that's my last game.

Okay, so now Gen-tapping is a problem?

It's annoying and it's been complained about since BHVR allowed killers to regress gens. Always been a topic on the board since its inception. Why should a survivor be able to effortlessly stop a regression? All BHVR has to do to resolve this argument is give their opinion on what their view on this is.

Granted it could potentially spark more discussion however it would be based around BHVR's view on how things should be and why rather than just the simple debate.

  • Just going to say unless they either change Blight or the Resident Evil map Blight is going to be near unplayable on the newest map.

  • Longer startup animation for generators to actually start the repair process.

  • I haven't faced a Hillbilly since he was nerfed.

These are the people that are heavily against mmr and are calling the end f days if it ever gets implemented.

Calling it half of them smurf in this game.

  • On PC I know of how some people exploit the rank system - They just use Steam Sharing to rank up a bunch of free accounts and when they climb out of a certain rank threshold they just swap accounts. I personally know 5 people who do this just to stomp new players because they find it funny / get bored.

It's not even derankers it's alt accounts being the issue - Ever wonder why you'll play against players who have 1 game on their account sometimes? Anyone who denies this has no idea honestly. It's a bigger issue than you think.

    Sounds like smurf accounts.

    This one gets it

  • Look at every thread mentioning this almost everyone has elaborated - You cannot read Spirit, it's a guessing game each time, every other killer has some form of counter player and can be read and outplayed. Spirit doesn't have any of that it is purely guessing.

  • I hate Spine Chill and too many people (Way too many people) undervalue this perk. This perk being present in a game will single handedly ruin any stealth killers presence and the entire gimmick of their power. I'm of the strong opinion that if you are undetectable you should not in any way prompt Spine Chill. Premonition is a bad perk and on a similar boat but I feel that perk needs a rework. It's overshadowed by Spine Chill in every way.

Spine Chill = 100% Uptime and offers benefits when a killer is clearly looking at you.

Premonition = Cooldown / Not 100% reliable on detecting a killers position / Wasn't there a penalty for this perk proc'ing?

Either way - Spine Chill shouldn't proc versus Undetectable killers. This has been my stance since they changed The Shape's power at Evil Within 1 to have undetectable and actually proc Spine Chill.

That being said - Spine Chill isn't overpowered or strong against normal killers. However it will counter most effects stealth killers have with their power to an unfair degree. With The Shape (Michael Myers) I feel that's another issue entirely and The Shape's kit needs a rework for modern DBD. However I still stand by Spine Chill severely hindering stealth killers like Wraith, Pig, Myers, Ghostface and other builds for Stealth granted for stealth builds on let's say Doctor as an example you have other tools at your disposal. With the killers whose main property is stealth is where the issue is.

Honestly should've done this from the beginning, they really wanted us to see the new face model on the default head (being covered by glasses and a hat). Looks great, I'm happy Ace has been done justice.

tbh I'd like another video of Ace in motion with just the face close up - The lighting in the first one isn't great as with most of the videos and you can't fully see Ace's face most of it because he's turned away from the camera. It does a poor job representing what he should look like I feel.

Granted I still believe Ace looks somewhat angry when in animation but again that perception may change if we get a clearer video.

  • I just want the grin he has to be more prominent. To me that's one of the defining features Ace has. The new model does have it to an extent but it looks more like an angry grin rather than a smug one.

Also yes - I do understand the images is just a default pose. I'm referring to the video BHVR showed off.

The rest of Ace's rework looks good though - Especially the clothing.

Oh and of course - Thank you for sharing - Makes it convenient for everyone on the forums.

No, because her base power is only 5 seconds. As I said, this won't be directional. They won't know WHERE she's coming from, just that she's near you.

Every second is too little, and it also punishes her for using duration add-ons.

To be honest even with the breathing you still can't do much against her. It only prepares you for that moment.

Any good Spirit doesn't even need injured sounds. They can hear footsteps, vaults and every other sound a survivor makes. I'm not even an amazing Spirit and I refuse to play her because she's bullshit and doesn't feel good to get "outplayed" by and I don't consider myself good mopping the floor against all reds with her either. Only reason I'd pick Spirit in the past is if I felt like making survivors I recognized that I didn't like to feel like ######### and you can't even switch killers in the lobby anymore so I just don't play her.

I feel her footsteps need to be audible again like they were for a short time when they were bugged. Past that I can't see it being fair for both sides. Spirit's power needs her to rely on audio and I feel that should also be her main counter if we hard focus on not completely reworking Spirit.

  • He doesn't look as smug and optimistic as he did prior - I don't like it. The video helps get an idea but just something about the way his lips are it looks like duck face if anything. What sells it on the older Ace model is the smirk kind of favors one side a bit more like a crooked grin. New model doesn't look like that.

I'm fine with the other adjustments but Ace just looks angry now tbh.

This is Dead By Daylight, not Resident Evil. While it would be nice if they could simply drop characters from other video games into it and have it work, it wouldn’t. Modifications need to be made, particularly with a killer that is ridiculously over the top powerful in its original interpretation.

Ok, single punch of his now instantly kills survivors. Better ?

Seriously, they obviouslyn needed to downscale him to make him work in DBD. Not that suprising.

Surprising? Not at all - Admittedly I expected him to be even more toned down than what he is now. Disappointed? Not exactly just his power feels too one dimensional to where he's another killer whose power is basically fake to zone people out or they have to drop the pallet early. I genuinely hate how his power breaks pallets because it just feels like a boring killer who will just hold W in chases now. I just don't like the entire interaction his power has with survivors in chase it's boring after a while. If you get good enough with his power I see zero reason to use his normal m1 for example and I feel that's an issue. Same thing with Demogorgon's new shred addon it just feels like a "Why do this when I can do this?" kind of situation.

So yeah - I wish Nemesis did more than just use a tentacle because the tentacle alone is just going to be boring in chase after a while. It's barely a new interaction at all compared to some killers we have in our roster currently. The main difference is it gradually gets stronger as the game goes on if you're doing well.

As much as I think he's fun he still simply is not Nemesis and I probably won't stop until something is done about it which I doubt something ever will because I'm just 1 person. Resident Evil means a lot to me. Its the game franchise that I talk most about. I play it the most. Nemesis means a lot to me. I have been playing with these characters for years. This is the biggest horror game franchise ever made. Why can't we get Nemesis to feel like Nemesis? Is it because he would be OP? Nope. Is it because it wouldn't fit? Nope. I keep getting told DBD isn't RE but the problem is the things that make Nemesis feel like Nemesis are things that DBD has done over and over. We've had running ability killers. We've had very lethal power burst killers. Why isn't Nemesis one of those? He just feels like a generic DBD killer when he could be that AND feel like Nemesis. I feel like I'm playing a slightly better Mr. X who is basically a severely weaker version of Nemesis in a way. What is this? Its sad at how poorly one of my favorite videos game villains has been demolished this and last year and this is by far the worst version of him. He feels more like Nemesis in even RE Verse. I will probably end up playing that game more than DBD because of how poorly he was executed. You guys said you don't wanna transform killers into something they are not. Where did that go? Nemesis is supposed to be lethal, fast, and very destructive. In DBD he's not any of that. The zombies sure as hell are lethal though. The best part of him in the game has NOTHING to do with Nemesis. And why does he just feel like diet Pyramid Head with his tentacle? It was a horrible job and I hope the devs can give a better feel of what it is to face or become THE Nemesis. Not A Nemesis. I'm probably just gonna end up playing REsistance over this game like I have already been doing. How was everything except the map and Nemesis on this chapter good? Lets talk about the map for a second. Everything is great EXCEPT for those weird mutation bubble things. WHAT ARE THOSE!? Why are they there? They ruin the beautiful look for me sometimes. Its random. People tell me its the entities stuff but it just looks like some sort of RE mutation but my biggest question is WHY THIS MAP ONLY!? Why is the RE map corrupted like this? Every other map doesn't have anything like this at all. It just falls flat and is really random and takes a lot away from a huge RE fan such as myself. Idk what can be done anymore but at least give Nemesis his running ability please. You have a standard speed walking animation already in the game. I would talk about Nemesis' skin color and shape of his face because that was messed up as well but just give me his running at the bare minimum.

Yeah I'm a little disappointed too but I'm okay with Nemesis as is. Granted I feel the most fun way to play Nemesis is in Resistance admittedly. I like the idea of Nemesis actually doing what Nemesis was made to do and use weapons. Also the occasional sprint in game is scary. In DBD he's reduced to just using a tentacle appendage.

Really wish there was one time use weapon crates around the map for Nemmy and maybe they could be sabotaged by survivors. Just having that opportunity to use a Rocket Launcher for example or a Flamethrower would be awesome. Even potentially even being able to break out into a sprint like in the games.

Nemesis is definitely underwhelming compared to every counterpart in every other game tbh. However I'm at least glad they chose him and Leon / Jill. Granted I do feel the survivors are the winner of this chapter.

  • I mean just in general more maps would be nice that aren't realm specific. I genuinely hate how new maps tend to be 5 subtle variations of each other. I would rather BHVR go all out on 1-2 maps each update. Lery's is a good example of this.

Like we're really starting up the Spirit hate train AGAIN? This has been discussed over and over. Spirit is FINE where shes at. We should be allowed to have a strong killer and not have the community up in arms crying because they can't effectively 5 gen chase a pro spirit,

The hate never stopped and no Spirit isn't fine but thanks.

We also do have strong killers now - Nurse, Blight, Huntress and some other M1 killers have even been brought up to snuff. As killer is my primarily role I love the game having strong killers. However I like it when strong killers have a high skill floor and a learning curve and not everyone can brainlessly pick up a killer and do well just because of how the power operates.

  • As Killer is my primarily role I'll outright tell you.

tf you think I'm gonna do let you just waltz in like you own the place and unhook someone in front of me like you think I'm going to give you a hi5 as I do a victory lap around the map for my hook? No I'm going to punish every decision you make and I don't give a ######### how much fun you're having. Chances are you could care less about my fun so get over it.

You unhooked someone in front of me? I'm punishing both of you by tunneling the unhooked survivor.

You continue to work on a generator in my presence after I down someone? I'm slugging all of you.

You hover around the area thinking you can just freely unhook people without any repercussions? I'm camping.

I could care less how much fun the survivor is having. Respect my presence and you won't have a bad time. Disrespect my presence and I'm going to remind you how fun it is to eat dirt for four minutes until you bleed out. Also before you think that's unfair and unbalanced here's a fun fact. Every single instance I've mentioned has a counter. You should adapt to your surroundings instead of thinking you can do the same thing every single game and win. I'm going to do everything I can to win and if that conveniently means you're not having fun then I guess you better adapt.

Also if you haven't figured out how these things are necessary I'll give you a shortened summary - Time is a resource and it's all about whose time you can waste the most with these things.
