  • Its quite funny how asian servers are always playing different games then the rest.

Now, it is a bit hotly contested as to whether or WoO should be basekit. Survivors usually argue that it's an accessibility issue, Killers usually argue that it would provide way too much value to Survivors.

To this, I say that they're both right, which means we need a different solution. I suggest this…

    YELLOW PAINT!!! YEAHHHHHHH!!!!

YELLOW PAINT ON WINDOWS AND PALLETS! LET'S GO!

Turn that option on and every single Window and Pallet in the game gets a bucket of yellow paint SUPLEXED onto them! Now you can see Windows and Pallets from afar without it providing too much value!

Don't like the yellow! Change the color!!!

Make it red to look like there has been at least FIVE TRIALS that occurred before this one! Everything is drenched in BLOOD!

Make it lime green to look like some fresh Nickelodeon SLIME!!!

Make it black to make things HARDER for yourself!!! YEAAAAH!!!!!

Make it purple because GAWD I LOVE BEING PURPLE!!!!

    Ahem… sorry about that

Anyway, that is my idea. Paint on the objects in question! That way, the accessibility issue has been resolved, and Survivors also do not get too much information from Auras.

This just shows that many people do not understand why people are using WoO. This just doesnt do anything useful unless youre visually handicaped.

  • If you have a bad MMR it doesnt matter. Events are always unrelated to MMR.

  • All four stations at the same location and three normal gens right next to them. How is it possible to break the spawn so much?

    Spawnlogic.jpg
  • The biggest issue is objective points on survivors. Why are survivors punished for doing the event objective? Just another event where survviors are at disadvantage in regards of BP gain. You basically loose 1/4 of the bloodpoints the killers get, not to mention that killer just get more overall in the same time, cause they dont have to go out of their way to earn them.

Survs need to get compensated for that design flaw.

Maining Vecna going for p100 because i find him very fun to play but wouldn't say he is the "best in the game". Yet if i don't get a 4k im hit with this.

Obviously because this one claudette player sais this it must be true right?

I was under the understanding that he is mid at best but curious. Does everyone else think he is the best in the game.

PS playing vecna on swamp is torture with the elevation differences….this is your warning if you play swamp as this killer lol

I dont understand how anyone can even think Vecna is mid-tier. Among High-MMR he has actually the second-best killrate right now.

the regular mode was all sweats while all the casuals enjoy the party game mode. between the queue times and match quality many people take breaks during it.

In my region this was definitely not an issue.

    1. In 2024, you were facing the top 10%. Now, you're facing the top 18%. It's objectively easier. Dota and LoL have significantly changed their matchmaking and MMR system over the years, and it's the same thing. Higher ranked players are always better.
    2. I've been a max MMR killer since 2020. Like I said, I stopped playing DBD completely since 2024 and returned a few months ago. The games are drastically easier and it's impossible for me to have gotten better since I didn't play or watch DBD at all during my break.

MMR didnt even existed in 2020. But I get, you do not understand it.

  • Just because there is a higher percentage doesnt mean its gotten easier at all. There is pretty much no way in telling why this has changed as bhvr has meddled several times with the MMR in that timespan. Youre just jumping to conclusions without having any evidence.

  • Several characters you mentioned arent survivors, theyre just skins. Also I guess most players dont own the overwhelming amount of licenced survivors, cause theyre just skins and their perks are mostly useless. So is no incentive to buy them besides being a fan of the character/series/game.

See, and this is where you had to go and make this a thing. Saying "its commonly known" is just not true. I shared with your what my experience is like, that doesn't mean that your experience isn't also valid and true for you, but then you immediately went to tell me "how wrong i am" why do that?

Just because you never accept common knowledge doesnt meant its wrong.

I am talking more so about the other two.

More healing, more haste, more aura read. Boring. Lazy.

The boon winning was a given.

Cause it helps in actual gameplay and not just in niche cases. Stealth has been nerfed the past to years into oblivion, so whats the point in asking for a stealth perk as stealth itself isnt a wanted mechanic by the devs? Do you think they will put in a perk that contradicts their own actions? That would be unbelievable naive. Most people understood that and didnt even bother voting for something not gonna be useful. Most players lost hope anything will change in the future after following this game for far too long.

When events happen, the regular queue is usually even more try-hardy in my experience.

Ive never seen this being a thing. Its commnly known that those who want to make the games unfun are meddling with the event queue. So the games in normal queue are more likely to be fair, which in fact means, that skill expression is more obvious, bit thats nothing to do with try-hards.

  • There are absolutely no favorites.

Why are you even asking a question in your post, but make it look like as if youre making out a fact in the title?

  • @_solaa said:

GAS PUMP SPAWNS. I saw the developer response stating something along lines of it being hard for them to spawn in specific areas. That being said, I think you guys need to pay close attention to HOW they are spawning and feeding killers very fast matches. I can see the need to put a couple blood gens close together in a match where survivors might be favored to lose that round. but every single match I've had gas pumps spawning right next to each other, I've been screenshotting it. even on big 2v8 sized maps like Yamaoka. both pumps spawned within 5 feet of each other, NEXT to a 3 gen. are you serious?

Im down to run across map, but now im losing most of my fuel? or im walking and wasting time. Ok, ill run fixated to walk faster, unfortunately hasn't helped enough. add Henry to this match and we're absolutely cooked.

Just a info: There are no 2vs8 sized maps. Theyre all 1vs4 sized.

  • @SoGo said:

Another reason why this community is the worst.

You guys saw a perk that could share stealth, a perk that gives you an uber stun and a crow based perk (granted, the haste sucked), and went, NAH, another batch of generic meta perks it is.

I don't want anyone complaining about the perks when this chapter comes out, YOU DID THIS.

Just be honest to yourself. Do you want a bunch of perks that would just be niche at best or perks that you could actually use, cause its measured on the actual gameplay. If youre on the first, you too have no way to complain about anything the devs add to the game and isnt playable at all.

  • No surprise. During event all the scummy players come back to ruin event queue for everyone else. Imagine people just hopping in even queue to play the most annoying build thats possible right now.

  • @OrangeBear said:

I know people are gonna say killers do these stuff anyway but im a killer who has always respected the prescense of DS and generally just find it more engaging to spread pressure anyways. But fast track right now is making me change my playstyle. By tunnelling and using a mori, you prevent that survivor from gaining/using fast track tokens… cuz they are dead but also killing them instead of hooking them means 3 less tokens for everyone else.

I don't like that this is the way it is but i feel like i have no choice right now because if you spread pressure survivors will build up tokens and obliterate the last remaining gens.

As long as killers can stack slowdowns the perk is totally fine.

  • For what reason?

  • Everything that can ruin the fun of survivors is intended design by bhvr.

  • It doesnt make sense that survivors have to battle over unhooks to use their perk.

  • @Gigante said:

In this game, a pallet or a window is basically the only thing a survivor has to hold off the killer in a chase. The whole point of mindgames and looping relies on uncertainty and playing around map RNG. Having a perk that permanently shows the exact location of all these resources 24/7 (with zero cooldowns or conditions) is completely busted.

People always use the excuse: "It's just a beginner perk to learn maps." But if you look at high-MMR lobbies and community stats, that’s just false. Max MMR players run this constantly (it has an insane 30-40% pick rate on sites like Nightlight.gg). They aren't "learning." They're using it to completely turn off their brain regarding spatial awareness, ignore map RNG, and make sure they never get caught in a deadzone left by their teammates.

When everyone in the lobby knows exactly where the safe zones are at all times, the game loses its thrill. The chase stops being interactive and just turns into a boring "Hold W and pre-drop pallet" simulator.

BHVR nerfed Pain Res and Dead Hard specifically because they hit that 30-40% pick rate, saying they wanted "build diversity." So why does Windows of Opportunity get a free pass when it has the exact same usage rate and kills the tension of chases.

It’s time to bring back the old cooldown after a vault/drop, or at least give it a token system.

Here we go again, another one who doesnt understand the value of the perk. It has nothing to do with "turn off their brain". Unless youre first in chase youre completely clueless on which pallets are gone and which are still up. Not having this information is a massive disadvantage for the majority of the game, while the killer has that information at all times.

Changing perks just because of pick rate has never been a thing. Otherwise meta wouldnt exist, escpecially the stale killer meta would have been nerfed a long time ago, but instead they even buffed one of the already most used slowdowns again. So your logic doesnt exist.

  • You chose to slug for your 4k. You chose to do the mori. None of this did the survivors.

  • Slugging doesnt counter Fast Track at all. Stop spouting this nonsense.

You're the one talking about nothing but hot air here. You have zero arguments, just random nonsense in a reply that doesn't even deserve a response. How can you be so bad at this game that you complain about tunneling when you have perks like Off the Record, Tenacity, and others that hide your scratch marks and your aura? If you're too incompetent to make an anti-tunnel build, that’s your problem."

"This goes back to my main point: 99% of Survivors—including those criticizing this post—are completely incapable of playing. And no, coordinated teams aren't just '0.01%' of players. It simply depends on your personal skill level. My MMR is high enough that I'm constantly matched with pro teams on comms. It’s that simple. Learn how to use your perks, learn how to loop, and learn how to run the Shack."

"If you're getting tunneled, it’s because you’re simply unable to hide, loop, time your pallets, or pressure gens. As usual, you have no arguments, yet you claim others don't when you've clearly never played Killer and know nothing about Killer mechanics. You’re just another player who wants an easy win. You’re the Minecraft generation—nothing can be done about it. Go back to playing Minecraft."

Pretty good example of what i said. Thanks for showing off your true colors.

  • I dont know if you even play the same game as the rest. I havent seen a single experienced player quitting killer cause its unrewarding. On contrary, many veteran surivor players have quit the game cause the constant tunnelin, slugging and the overtuning of killers has reached its peak. Youre just talking about the 0,001% of the games with a top-coordinated 4man SWF. Also, what do killers master nowadays? How to use four slowdowns and hardtunnel the first out of the game? You have no points to come to your own conclusion.

I was the one lagging in the video, if a Wraith cannot catch me lagging - it doesn't change anything.

You're the one focused on killer has to be "bad" at the game.

No nuance whatsoever - reminds me of why I dropped the killer role. Killer gameplay is too linear.

You play killer, something like Trapper - you put your traps around the tile or bushes - survivor steps in it, downed.

Wraith - hit, cloak, uncloak, hit - rinse/repeat. You guys act like survivor so easy, yet you're the one watching a video of mine - telling me the killer must be bad. I played against Momo yesterday, looped him for a bit - I guess MomoSeventh must be bad, right? Community is a joke, lmfao.

Edit: maybe the more I post about how killer is, my survivor peers will realize how linear your own gameplay is. You're not special nor are your content creators - check your ego at the door and learn to be humble. But this is a Dead By Daylight, survivor emotional/killer analytical yet you guys can't think without quoting Otz and Hens - literal walking parrots.

I must have struck a nerve with the emotional players, too bad.

You know what I'll edit even more just to show how logically bankrupt what you said was - if the Wraith was bad, what could the Wraith have done? If the Myers was bad, what could the Myers have done? I can look at my MomoSeventh game and come to the logical conclusion that Sable unhooking me allowed Momo to tunnel me out, but did I go to Momo's stream to complain? Nope.

So, tell me - you can watch all of my videos on YouTube, please tell me in every chase what the killer could have done if the baseline is - survivor loops killer, killer must be bad. Explain, but you can't.

New map comes out, the killers here who have thousands of hours cannot think of what killers are good on the map and explain why some killers struggle. Why is that? If killers are so analytical, why does it take someone who played your role to give you guys tips? Otz has more than likely double or triple my hours, yet can't even say his old main would dominate on the map. Hm............

Its funny how hard you try to justify something thats evidentially untrue. It wasnt you lagging, it was the killer. Take a look at the HUD, its clearly the killer lag symbol. Stop pretending otherwise, it just makes you look even worse. Second, everbody that knows how the game is played would agree that the wraith is a bad player cause he missed several sure his. And he doesnt know how to play pallets at all.

  • How is it rat bevaviour if survivors can play stealthy?

  • Just bring back initial fog vial with 2 or three charges and everything is fine. And stop making knee-jerk reaction on killer doomposting.

  • @CautionaryMary said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4065545#Comment_4065545

It's funny because I see survivors say Myers is overbuffed, but here you are saying, "Why Myers?"

The point was to indicate that you can manipulate the killer into overextending and committing to tiles that they should not be doing due to a lack of patience.

Regardless, there are way more than three windows on the map that you can chain but if your response is to minimize, invalidate, and deflect you saying that you cannot do anything on the map at all then I have nothing more to conclude with you.

People think that killers are pitch perfect humans and unable to make mistakes and any time a survivor loops them, they have to be "bad". Strange mentality we have in the Dead By Daylight community.

Edit: it's kinda like chess players playing in chess, but if one person blunders, and you capitalize - it doesn't matter that you "won", the other person was "bad". This is the only game that I've seen this type of rhetoric be applied to looping a killer. Methinks people have an ego and cannot admit when they're simply outplayed whether killer or survivor.

You dont have any proof besides a video showcasing a really bad player with laggs.

  • @HommeBizarre said:

    Corners everywhere.

lots of god and safe pallets

If you are a 4.4M killer, don't bother. Stand in a corner and wait for the next game cuz all the survivors has to do to win is press W and maybe sometimes use a windows or throw a pallet.

I agree, the map is looking pretty good… but damn. Chasing a survivor feels like hell.

If you are not camping or tunneling you just get destroyed, and survivors don't even need to try to rush

3/4 pallets are unsafe, there are only 3 windows, no elevation. So far ive seen more killers winning then loosing on this map.

  • Its like saying "playing shooter is unreasonably difficult to play on console".

Hey, Dinadin - since we were talking about the new map earlier I wanted to drop somewhere here for survivors who are struggling (low-mid MMR especially, but honestly even high MMR can get tripped up on this layout).

Behavior doesn’t let me upload MP4s directly, so I tossed the clips on my YouTube just to make it easier to share.

This map basically forces you to play matador v. bull. You’re the matador, the killer is the bull. Traditional looping doesn’t work here, the geometry is too tight and the pallets are too unsafe, so the strongest option is often just holding W and taking the windows.

In the clips you’ll see me:

    • greeding pallets instead of panic‑dropping
    • holding W to avoid feeding Myers’ dash
    • forcing him to re‑commit multiple times
    • wasting his time instead of wasting resources

That alone bought enough time for gens to finish, and we ended up with a 4‑man out in SoloQ.

If you’re struggling on this map, don’t feel bad: looping and tile‑chaining are some of the hardest skill expressions in the game for survivor. I'm always happy to help fellow survivors learn the macro (game pacing) and micro (chase) side of things.

Clip in question + a bonus Wraith video on the same map:

    https://youtu.be/O2Y0Z05NW5U?si=edNNl08CuhFjsJGN

First, it doesnt matter what MMR level anyone has. Second, you video showcases a really bad Wraith player thats even lagging. I dont know whyx you even Mayers, one of the killers that struggle the most on cluttered maps. And "windows"? There are three windows in total, not worth even mentioning. There is nothing to learn from this video.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/465394/my-feedback-on-the-new-map-this-is-my-opinion-and-from-my-own-experiences-and-findings

Insane how many 50/50s are in the images, lol.

It's a great looking map, I think moving forward I would like the level of depth from the map itself reflected onto other maps. Fallen Refuge to me was a disaster, I still think it should have actually been a real prison map or something.

I feel like Lithe users would work the best on this map due to how many unsafe pallets there are - thank you for showing them in the images even if that wasn't your intention.

Edit: I'll even expand on this more. If a map, such as this requires you to have to be a Lithe user to get any reward out of it - it is by definition bad game design. A survivor should have not have to use an exhaustion perk (Lithe) just to create some mobility on this map.

I know people like Dead Hard (I don't use it personally and I believe the 2 uses is a detriment to its usability compared to other exhaustion perks) but even in a situation where a survivor can pull off a Dead Hard - you will still go run into another 50/50 and die. I've only escaped once or twice on this map due to how badly the pallet geometry is. I say that as a person who does use Lithe, but even Lithe can't save you.

You Lithe the unsafe pallet, go elsewhere - you're back at an unsafe pallet. Overcome? Same situation. Dramaturgy? Same situation. I honestly think this is the worst map for looping bar none.

You cant use Lithe there at all. Most pallets are so bad, that killers can easily lunge after you vault.

  • You found the only three windows on the map and really complain about pallets partly 10m away?

  • @Adam_Francis_Main said:

Point tech and heal tech remain untouched, yet killer power techs like hug tech and flicks are being removed.

Survivor techs like heal techs are abused making the already strong survivor endgame even stronger. How come this is not being addressed?

How come we even try to compare something being an issue all game while the other one is a niche situation, hardly ever happening at all?

  • @RpTheHotrod said:

We showed how broken fast track was, why on earth did you push it through to live? Why even have a PTB? We already have gens going by way too quick, now a gen can be completed in 20 seconds AND the killer has no idea if a generator at 0% is actually effectively at 50% or higher. On top of it, it strongly encourages killers to slug since hooks once again are punishment against the killer. Why do you insist on punishing killers for hooking?

Nobody showd that this perk is broken. People like you want to claim its broken. Thats a huge difference.

  • Ah, thats why its hardly used at all right now. Why do killer players always doom posting on at least one perk every update?

  • Still not worth anything. Why do you ask for more feedback when you already got an obliterating amount since you butchered them?

  • Who cares? It doesnt mean anything and it doesnt change anything.

  • @DemonicDemons said:

I know this keeps getting brought up and it's obviously for a good reason, I just ran a game, two people had only one gen speed perk each no toolboxes, the perk that gives 6% boost to gen repair, they finished a generator per minute, within 5 minutes all gens were done, keep in mind I'm running Oni, arguably the fastest killer in the game, I didn't get a kill. If I can't get a kill as the Oni what do you think my experience is on killers that are far slower, Myers, Krasue, Cannibal, Trapper, Ghost face and Deathslinger?

It's miserable, I don't know what the heck is going on but honestly, the killer experience has degraded into one of the worst gaming experiences I have ever had and I don't get what is happening because when I'm survivor we don't finish a gen per minute on our own and I run full gen rush perks plus the toolbox. Something needs to change and hopefully fast, I'm getting into games as a survivor, one of us run the killer for 2 gens before they even get a down and I'm watching killers quit repeatedly, listen to your community, you've taken killer nerfs too far.

So if the only tool they had was Deja-Vu then what did you do all game? Youre whole post just reads as "I didnt do anything right, but I will complain about something that isnt an issue". You just tell us nothing about what happened in the game with proof, though you say "I have the video". Why dont you show it? Cause it would obviously unmask your sloppy gameplay. Oni didnt get any nerfs. Killer gameplay hasnt been nerfed too. The killer experience is still the easiest role and there is actually no way to deny this. Why do you think that the community craves for nerfs to "killer strats" and the most prevalant overtuned killers for years now?

  • @Carth said:

Survivors : ermm it should be normal to get to endgame with more survivors alive and games where killers get 2+ survivors out before gates are powered are stomps/tunnel fests and it should be more common to get to end game with more survivors alive to be fair.

This isn't an extra. This is removing an extra the survivors got because its antithetical to the design of the game. Survivors should not have an easy time saving in the endgame just because they get a ton of basekit mechanics that shouldn't be there.

There's a reason perks like DS and OTR all disable in endgame too.

Surv do not have an easy time during endgame unless killer screwed up its own game. Stop claiming something nobody said and thats just untrue.

It literally can win you the match, however you need to be good. If you use DS and go down after 30 seconds of course it wont do anything. Ds has literally changed the outcome of a lot of comp matches, saying it doesn't do anything is like saying an instrument is useless because you don't know how to play it.

comp isnt even a legit gamemode. It doesnt matter to aynone what some people with selfmade rules do. DS is useless against the most of the roster. Thare is no way to deny this.
