DS doesnt do anything at all. So why wasting a perk slot?

The game is literally designed such that, the longer the game goes on the killer is more threatening. As survivors finish gens, the killer has less gens to patrol, I.E. 3 genning. This is by design, at the start of the game the killer has to hunt and find the survivors, and they split up and work on different gens.
So if the killer gets tronger through the game, why would the killer need some extras during EGC (thats supposed to be neutral)?

the killer has nothing else to do and is up against a free escape since it's 15s of endurance + movement speed boost + whatever perks the survivor brought + other bodyblocking survivors. yes it should favor killer more at that point
So you have actuall no argument besides "it is how it is".

By design the killer is supposed to be stronger the further the game is.
What?

why is bt outside of the perk avalible in the endgame to begin with is the better question all the anti mechanics should be shut off during endgame
Why? Cause it should favor killer even more?

You think that if tunneling wasn't a thing survivors would suddenly start doing dull totems for no reason? Your argument is the same killers make in regards to tunneling. You think that if gens suddenly took twice as long killers would stop tunneling? The answer is no. Both things definitely need to be addressed and likely in different ways, but that is a bad argument.
Actually this is how it was during pre-tunneling era. People used those perks that they deemed to be good and fun. Not just the most efficient ones. Survivors always had those tools and never used them for a reason: it wasnt necessary wo have proper (good) games. I never said killers would stop tunneling if something else changed beside being unable to tunnel. Stop putting words into my mouth.

You said, quote
cause with the base game and even the first two DLCs there was no licence, but sure
which is flatly wrong. Many people would argue that Halloween, the very first paid dlc and also the very first license the game ever pulled, skyrocketed DbD's popularity.
"enjoyable content" alone doesn't mean squat if you can't attract an audience to begin with.
Fine, Halloween was the second DLC. Still, the player gain didnt came with right with the DLC, it came roughly a month later AND fainted as fast as it came and even went further down than before. So claiming that this licence skyrocketed DBDs popularity isnt truely right. Funnily the highest gain (early dbd) was probably around Spirit release. And then during Corona and RE release.
-
Dbd is one of the most simplistic games out there.

The very first paid DLC was Halloween.
so what?
-
"Since the beginning of DbD" … yeah cause with the base game and even the first two DLCs there was no licence, but sure. The game doesnt need licences, it needs enjoyable content. Always was and always will be like this.
-
Your problem is already a false take. Survivors rush gens (the wording itself is already falsely used here) only because of the killer tactics making games unfairly balanced. Youre just trying again to go against common sense here.
-
I dont think we need any more chapter from RE. Its a game series in itself, if people are such fanybos, just replay those games. There are stil a ton of good horror licences out there, so we really do not need a hoarding of RE chapters. Give people comsetics, I couldnt care less about that. But hell, no more chapters.
-
I dont see any issues with hatch challenges. Theyre pretty easy to do. I regularly escape with hatch every few games so its really not that uncommon that someone escapes through hatch. You can even just play for it leisurely or sweaty.

So you are half the thread? Nice hot take.
Maybe read more posts and not just what you want to read.

Exhaustion perks are fine. If anything some of them need certain buffs to even work properly.

Hello? Look in this very thread, and do a search on hackers. You'll see tons of complaints about them. So stop your hot takes.
Half of the thread says otherwise. And you do not see a ton of complains. Everytime someone encounters two cheaters its a rise, but it isnt.

That’s not exactly a fair take. You can stack gen speeds perks and toolboxes.
Eruption could use some love mostly do to how it affects the 8 gen kick limit.
So then there is no problem buffing those perks too, right?
-
As long as you can stack regression none perk needs any buffs.
-
This hasnt changed at all lately. I see one cheater every few month at all. People are totally overexagerating.
-
Hopefully we never get another part of RE. DbD shouldnt be a reservoir for other games. And escpecially not for new games. If youre a fan, go play the game itself.

Data is objective actually. If it fits within a desired outcome then its valid, as much as some people will dislike that fact because it doesnt fit their bias opinion. Emotional, bias whining is the furthest thing from objective there is and worthless when it comes to decision making.
The issue is: what is the data? Nobody knows how theyve filtered it, whats out, whats in? And theyve made clear the past years that you shouldnt trust any data theyre using, just because they revealed it.

The devs have said that Ghouls is strictly middle of the road statistically, and very slightly above average in the highest end play. He isn't being nerfed because he is objectively not OP.
Just that objectively only refers to the devs point of view. And not to the players point of view.

No, all I watch are killer mains on youtube and twitch, some of them comp players, some of them world record holders for their killer they main.
My post resorts to "Man im struggling in these matches. I'm also seeing similar sentiment from other killer mains all over reddit/youtube/twitter. Wait this person online says I need to get better at playing killer and im bad for resorting to tunneling and camping? Aw man. Wait they're a streamer too! Let me watch them a bit and maybe I can learn what they do…. oh their game play is terrible. They're vaulting a TL wall? Why are they not doubling back or trying to mind game at this tall rock they've been holding W at for a whole minute? They're losing all their 50's and getting pallet stunned so many times too. This is the person telling me im bad at killer and they get 4ks every game?"
Yeah pretty much that lol.So you actuall just agreed to what I said. Or are you implying that people who do not 4k as killer arent allowed to say that killer is easy?
-
People sweat no amtter what you call a mode.

3 Minute and 46 second match by the way. All 5 gens done and the exit gate was 99. Super fun! Truly!
BOTH are real and BOTH are very unfun. My matches all night are filled with sweat fest players on a Monday night. The MMR System truly is a work of art.
You may accept that youre just bad.

A common sentiment I see alot is "I get 4ks without tunneling and slugging and camping, killer is easy" and you check their post history and they mainly post survivor main takes, and some of them even admit like a week ago "i barely play killer but…". Anyway some of the people that have said they get 4ks without tunneling/slugging/camping are streamers. Perfect! Now I can get some video proof of this person in action and maybe I can learn something from this person, right? After all the best way to get better is to watch better players and see what they do (this applies to literally every video game). So I go to their twitch and check their vods and see how they play killer.
These "killer mains" are playing on default FOV, no hiding their red stain, not looping tiles correctly, barely hitting with their m2 power, getting pallet stun at every pallet, falling for window fakes, and even getting spun.
Can someone explain this to me? These "killer mains" are apparently really good and the rest of us need to get better at killer since we tunnel/camp/slug, but the way they play, they play like they just installed the game.So you just havent seen any skilled killer main til now? Thats all your posts resorts to?

Incredibly disappointed to see there are plans to nerf the newest killer, who is already is a very slow and easily countered character. Good survivors seem to have absolutely no issue dodging his ranged attacks as he is currently. Really sick of all the fun killers being made incredibly easy to counter - first can't even injure all the time, he needs three hits initially if not in world breaker mode!!
Not to mention the fact that if you go underground, people can run in straight away and unhook in your face and you're stuck in an incredibly long animation trying to resurface, then have an impossible task catching up because you're only 4.4. There needs to be less time you're punished for trying to use power around a hook AFTER the person has been unhooked. Understandable while they're still on it.
Please stop balancing killers around new players, it's pushing everyone to play blight and ghoul (who are 4.6 despite having much stronger powers than every single 4.4 killer btw) I honestly think 4.4 killers shouldn't exist, their powers should be balanced around 4.6.
So much false information is quite insane. The First obviously needs nerfs, cause good survivors cannot dodge its attacks against good killers. so just spamming attacks is a free win.
-
So WOO would be just useless.

With the way the voting works, when we can offer the "change your fate" option, we have been doing so, at this stage that's not an option as we are too far into the development process and the voting results have been pretty clear. Whilst I am sorry that you and others did not get the votes you wanted, that does not invalidate what others voted for.
Pretty many people arent satisfied with the actual design choices for the killer. I am also pretty disappointed, also that there are only two choices to begin with, while the designed had much more potential. I and many other people, from what ive heard so far, hoped for something more than this.

Some of you seem to not understand my original post. The whole point is there is no point in having a finisher mori with the abandon feature. Like once the last survivor abandons then the killer can abandon making moris pointless.
A lot of effort is clearly put into the mori animation its just weird that they have a mechanic in the game that could in theory mean the mori is never seen. (highly unlikely but in theory possible)https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4060037#Comment_4060037
Why should i be forced to push survivours out of the exit gate when ive seen you leave 1000s of times. Why should I be forced to watch you bag on the hatch which ive seen 1000s of times. We can all ask questions like this but its not the point of this post.https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4060033#Comment_4060033
Clearly because i said so. Now do as your told and be a good little survivor and watch my mori XD
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4060036#Comment_4060036
Well clearly I am serious if im asking the question but i thank you for your valuable input into the discussion. Honestly this is the most in depth and relevent reply to a forum post i think ever.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4060034#Comment_4060034
I would also love the teleport feature same with the instant mori on final down but as i said in my original post only if there is 1 survivor remaining in the trial.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4060046#Comment_4060046
I have not said its important to me you have clearly skim read the post and assumed its just an us vs them post.
The point of this is asking what is the point of finisher mori when the abandon feature is a thing."On the last survivor leaving the exit gate, that you should be teleported to it to watch them leave?"
I would honestly love this because it means I don't have to cross map to the other exit gate just to force them out as so many survivors live and die by the "Watch Me Leave" mentality that this feature would be amazing. Us killers can't abandon we have to sit and watch it whatever BM the survivors want to give
How is it a Humiliation ritual? thats a very weird attitude to take against the mori animations. This is just part of the game its like a reward for the final kill of the survivor. you wanna talk about humiliation ritual look at survivors who just bag at the exit gate to BM or killers who slug and "hump" on the ground. You do understand the difference between gameplay (chasing survivors out of the exit) and an animation, right?
-
Why should we be forced to watch something that weve seen for thousand times already and is literally just a waste of time?
-
Nah, we never get options that are literally basic in every other game. Or at least not within 5 years unless they can praise themselfs for them (like with aura changes now).
-
Would agree on some, but some others on the list probably not in a good way.

They tried to do that, remember? Extreme hiding prevention, anti-tunnel, anti-slug, go next punishments?
Everyone exploded with toxicity and instead of nuanced adjustments, we got a few sledgehammers and ground up everything into a pulp.
They literally tried, and the community screamed no.
Lets be honest, this wasnt even a try. They instantly turned tail cause killers did what they always do if theyre in danger to lose their easy games: shitstorming socialmedia.

I'm tempted to agree, but out of curiosity, can you think of a way to make DbD Fun for everyone? I've been trying lately and I can't come up with a way to do it, given the competitive nature of the game. It's particularly rough for the survivors, as even if there's only one kill a match that's always 25% of the survivors sitting on the hook doing not much but dying. Assuming you could find a way to get Killer to be happy with only killing one and that being fun, you're still isolating 20% of the matches players into oblivion.
Legitimately, any ideas? I'm curious, but I can't come up with much that has any sticking power. It doesnt matter if people are satisfied with one kill or not. Its about the core mechanics that are actually just pain out of hell. Just get rid of tunneling, camping and slugging and look how the core game works out. But BHVR is just afraid of making the game fun for everyone, so they hard cater to killer since years.
-
It never was in the first place.
-
@CompetitifDBD said:

Sure people in high mmr dont know how to counter a killer thats out for like a decade. people never stop to amaze with such takes like yours.
-
The toxic game mechanics attract such people. BHVR is totally at fault cause they just promotes those playstyles instead of getting rid of them to have a fun game for everyone.
-
Dont know why we have to go through all those false claims and poor common knowledge every week with 1-post accounts.
-
There arent 25+ pallets on all maps. Stop pretending this, its already known not be be on every map. Also, yesterday I played a game on Dead Sands. And, oh surprise, there was 1/4 of the map without any pallet. Deadzones even still exist.

Yes, they can, but it's a temporary mode, and if it bothers you so much, why not add a rating and not a rating (unless, of course, you consider the increased game wait time)
Now, back to your message: you literally said that simply playing as a killer in 2v8 is equal to playing SWF, which is stupid comparisonMost people playing 2vs8 as killer are SWF on comms. So its accurtely the same. For your own sake, stop entagnling yourself in contradictions you cannot undo. Youre just tryharding to go against common sense here.

Yes, I believe that people who are so sweaty as to form teams and use an app unrelated to the game to gain an in-game advantage not intended by the game should be considered competitive mode
Please give me an example of why I'm wrongHow can anyone believe that playing with friends is sweaty? There is absolutely no logic behind this. And therefor it doesnt make anymore sense to discuss basing an such ridicoulous take.

I believe you do have to tunnel, camp, slug if you play at high mmr. But the real pros at the top will 100% lose if they dont.
But BHVR also cannot balance everything for the top people and I'm not a top guy anyway. But the point I want to make is that somewhere out there I believe there is a MMR level where is required.
Like I said, noone has to. Its common knowledge.

I didn't say ban SWF. You can still play with friends, but only in ranked mode
So if the killer wants to play against swf, he will go to the ranked mode, and if not, to casual
Or if u as solo survivor dont want meet sandbag swf u can go in casualAnd even logical fact that you are using a third-party application to gain an in-game advantage already takes you out of the casual category
So you just dont care for all the people not being a comp SWF, who are the vast majority of SWF. There is no logic behind your take.

As a Killer Main, you definitely catch some flak for tunneling, camping, etc I know this to be true, not every game tho but if you play 10 games I have not doubt you will get 1 nasty thrown your way. But this also means you have to tunnel/camp/slug every game which well.. i find it boring to do that.
Noone has to tunnel/camp or slug. Its a common mistake weve been hearing for years and it never was treu at any point.
