WE DID IT! THE EVIL IS NO MORE!
-
-
As much as I love this, you know a lot of players would whine that the cosmetics are just slight recolors and not give a ######### that they are free
-
Bumping this because of the announcement from today.
-
Bubba is much easier to learn, and does have one major upside that Billy doesn't in that he can instadown multiple survivors at once, and thus making his camping game much better. But if you are an active killer that moves around the map (which is the far better/stronger playstyle) then hillbilly is the better option, destroying Bubba in terms of pure speed. He can patrol with ease, as well as catch up to survivors that are far off. Endgame against a hillbilly that can easily go from gate to gate in little to no time is utter hell, the fact his matter of transportation doubles as a way to instantly down is icing on the cake. Avoiding a good hillbilly is far more difficult than avoiding a good bubba.

Not if a killer is sitting there waiting for you to come out. It's happened to me before! Who's the potato now?
From the sounds of it, still you. If you sit in lockers for extended amounts of time, you are a potato teammate. It is as easy as that.
-
So you want to remove literally all counterplay with the perk? Gee sounds fair and balanced to me
-
Fellow Freddy main here, if you want some advice, pop on Surveillance. White gens are easier to see than red with the current auras, and it could also help you with info.
-
TBF, it was extremely overpowered. That icon scared the living crap out of me, I screamed so loud that I deafened everybody in a 6 mile radius
-
Dude, there aren't enough generators in the map. I must make more, but doctor prevents that. What a dick.
-
How does one pop infinite tombstone too quickly? Asking for a friend
-
Its a bit of an obscure one, but I would absolutely love Matt Cordell from the Maniac Cop movies as a killer
-
What do you mean? It takes years of honing your skill to backrev at literally every single loop

@Boss said:
Sounds cool, but i don't think they'd do the "You will see their aura for an increased time of 1/2/3 seconds." thing.
Tinkerer got reworked simply because it had to be changed every Killer.
OoO would have to be changed every Killer Power/Add-on/Perk that allows Survivor Aura reading.
A set amount of seconds would probably be what they'd go with.
The main reason I included that would be so there would be a difference between tier 1-2-3. Maybe instead have it so it has a smaller cooldown per higher tier? Not sure if we need more cooldowns in the game though
-
You need to have Pyramid Head on your menu screen, so select him in the killer menu, back out to the menu, and then when he is standing there (You should see his back turned and holding his giant knife) what you want to do is press this
up up down down left right left right B A start
-
If you are doing it for the sole purpose of making sure the other side has a bad time, then I would consider it pretty toxic.

well sounds great but whats the point of distortion then?
can we not just REMOVE that perk? i mean its annoying and unbalanced. and im not even a killer main and hate this perk more then anything. just make it something different and NEW perk!!
Distortion hides your aura, as well as removing your scratch marks for a considerable amount of time, so it would still have a place.
And, you cannot 'delete' perks, especially ones from paid DLCs lol
-
@caz_ said:
so what i understand is you can see the killer just if he looks at you? pretty much the current state just reversed? OR do you mean IF the killer has a aura perk you can see him but he cant see you? im a bit confused lol
If the killer is running an aura reading perk (BBQ, or Bitter Murmur) you both see each other's aura

Because your idea made great balance, useful for solo and doesn't make massive abuse for 4man swf free wallhack
Also counter BBQ and great combo for Distortion
Can someone tag devs or something?
I don't think you can tag devs? Even if we could, I would rather not bother them with it, lets just hope they somehow find the thread
-
So, it looks like everybody is pretty supportive of this change, thanks guys!

The point is that killers have a responsibility to survivors to provide an enjoyable gameplay experience, for some unknowable reason, whereas survivors are just trying to play the game, man.
This is literally one of the dumbest things I have ever read. The killer is trying to play the game just the same as you, they are not some NPC, nor is it their job to make sure you have fun. Likewise for survivor. The amount of entitlement is laughable.
-
Tunneling is often seen as being bad because it deprives some players of actually playing the match, it can be a good strategy but it is often better for you as the killer, and the survivors you are fighting if you go for the person who unhooked the other player, instead of the player who just got off the hook. Play the game however you like though.
Also, if a survivor is dragging you on a loop too long, leave them. Your best bet is to spread damage, often times 3 or more injured players is better pressure than 1 person on a hook. Try and get people into areas where they don't have many defenses, or target the players who are bad at looping/losing the killer
-
"Should I learn how to fight this killer? Naaaaaah, complaining is much easier. I will do that instead."
-
I think blindness should hide the killer's red stain, that would make it more powerful without being too intense, and can actually help the killer in the chase.
-
You cannot loop Freddy like a standard M1 killer, Freddy's appeal with snares is that he shortens a loop. If there is a loop that can be ran around 3 times, and you fight a Nightmare who properly places his snares, it can only be looped twice. Think of it like fighting Doctor, trying to stun him is often not in the cards. The number 1 way to beat Freddy in loops is to get good at shifting to other loops. Often times Freddys pay more to dropping snares than they do to the actual survivor they are supposed to be chasing, sticking to a single loop and just praying it goes well is how you lose.
Also, here is a fun tip people don't know, if a Freddy puts a snare right against a window vault, or pallet vault, you can still fast vault.
Freddy's often struggle on L wall T walls, and maps with complex and plentiful loops often prove to be very difficult for him. If you are good at looping, you have literally nothing to worry about. You can't panic when fighting him, that is what he wants.
-
Naaaaah, I am good. DBD may be imperfect and needs a lot of fixes, but I like it here.

Here is a streak of about 50, it takes practice as well as lots of luck, but it is fully possible

I think the rights to Scream the Series is in a strange spot since the rights change. We also already have a rain poncho with the Devilface mask
-
Yeah, gonna be real with ya mate, nobody cares if you stay or leave. If you wanna leave, go.
-
I love it when somebody joins the forums just to complain, really warms my heart.
But to answer your question, red ranks everywhere kinda do this as it is the sweatiest area in the game. In my experience though, I don't see a lot of camping, more so tunneling.
-
It is coming out the same day we get a Neon Maniacs, 976-Evil, and Ghoulies chapter. It is gonna be big.
-
I am not a fan of tunneling Freddys (but then, when is a tunenling killer ever fun?) But for the most part I don't have any problems fighting him, he makes chases more interesting as a good Freddy tries to force you to leave a loop or risk getting hit, so it is always fun to drag a Krueger all the way around the map. Most of the time when you hear people complain they are from people that are just bad at looping and therefore hate antiloop killers in general.
-
The people who do this are also the kinds of people who DC before the game starts if they see Hawkins, Gideon or Mori offering.
-
At this point, I think I would accept about anything over the current mending feature, it is just incredibly boring to sit and hold a single button doing literally nothing. At least with generators and healing we have skillchecks, but with mending it is just hold one button for X amount of time.
I think adding some extra little things to it, that might make it more a threat/risk would be interesting even if I don't 100% think your idea would work, but you clearly put a lot of thought into it.

DO YOU EVEN PLAY DBD?????
No mither makes you injured the whole game, Unbreakable does not.... so why compare the two perks when they are irrelevant.
No no, but you say getting up from the dying state once is the most OP thing, and no mither is a perk that allows you to do it as much as you want must be even more OP. They are very very relevant to one another.

Well, im not an english speaker so I don’t care if I make mistakes at least I can present my ideas in multiple languages.
And how the heck you gonna win a game against good SWFs without slugging ????? Its impossible. Yet again you proofed you are a baby survivor.
Even then, Unbreakable only allows them to get up once. By your logic, No Mither is the most OP perk because it allows you to get up over and over. You have little to no idea what you are talking about.

You just proofed that you are a baby survivor and don’t even know why Unbreakable is OP.
The reason why Unbreakable OP is because it makes you recover faster at all times and also you can 99% it.
If the killer doesn't slug, it does not matter if you recover 30% faster. And that does not make it OP in the slightest... Overpowered means you have no ways to actually combat it, or countering it is an extreme task in itself. If you slug a lot then Unbreakable counters you, but being countered does not make it OP, all it means is you should try and adjust your playstyle to better play against it (Do not slug as much or if you believe somebody has Unbreakable try and keep an eye on your slug, something like Deerstalker helps with this.)
Also, if you are going to insult me, you might want to make sure you are not making a fool of yourself. "Proofed."

Thanataphobia is still the same as it was when the game came out. None of the slowdown perks have got a rework but the game has changed so much since 2016 that those slowdown perks really need to be looked at. This is coming from a killer Main
Thanatophobia has gotten changes since 2016, most recently in 2018. It was a buff that increased the values because it was severely underperforming. Look at the 2.6.0 update for the numbers. Most slowdown perks were not in 2016 either, other than Ruin. Which as we all know got a massive change. And most other slowdown perks require input from the killer (Pop, Thrilling Tremors, Overcharge, Dead Man's Switch) so if you make nerf them, they will not be run. Because why should that gives me little to no actual benefit?

Easy fix. Revert him back. I and a lot of Freddy mains would be very happy.
We don’t hate the rework. They did an excellent job. But speaking for myself I desperately miss old Freddy.
Dude, I would be so extremely happy if I got to play my old Freddy again.

Bro, do u know how much 60 sec are? Just slug? U don't even know what u are talking about, and what wait 60s then pick up? And at the same time pressure gens and survivors wont heal downed survivor? Sure its that easy, u complain about Pop, do u know how gens are flying? At the star of the game if u choose wrong direction u are left with 4 gens. U clearly don't play killer, i would bet u arent even rank 10
A slugged person is a person not doing generators, thus adding to your pressure as a killer. As are players going out of their way to heal said downed players, so right there you got 2 people not working on generators. This is called spreading damage as killer.
Also, bro? Can you actually read? I was the guy defending pop when you responded to me. Don't claim people don't know what they are talking about if you have no inklng of an idea yourself.
I am a red rank killer, and have been playing since 2017. Not that it matters since ranks are close to meaningless, even the devs have stated this and every half decent player echoes this fact. I have a discord group where I teach players how to play the game effectively. If the 5s stun from Ds is what ruins your game and makes you lose, then you clearly have a lot more problems with your playstyle.

I would bet BBQ and PGTW is used on Freddy substantially more than the other perks on those killers. By your logic of justifying PGTW, it would be the equivalent of the struggle timer being longer if gens are being done quickly. Just because one objective is done well shouldn't enable the objective being removed on the other side.
So, basically all gen regression and slowdown perks should be removed because it is unfair for killers to get rewarded for doing well. Should kicking gens be removed too?
Also, camaraderie exists, so there is a perk that extends struggle timer, so maybe not the best example to use.

DC and Unbreakable are op, imagine if killers have so much second chance's, u can tell BBQ and Pop are op, but we all know they arent, when u use pop, survivors just touch gen for second and it stops, people use Pop bcs of the gen rush, and even top tier killers have so much problems with it. People complain they see same killers over and over again and want to nerf them, u don't even ask yourself why. Keep nerfing killers and the game will die, it already takes a lot of time to find the match
Ds and unbrekable are not Op. You can counter DS with slugging. You can only use unbreakable once as well. They are not overpowered because they synergize well with each other. DS is often overestimated to the point where you'd think it forced killers to crash the second it was used. Unbreakable can be a bit of a risk to use as well since if the killer does not slug, it has literally no use.

Removing 20 seconds is a lot of time in DBD. If it wasn't OP, why does every Freddy use them?
By that logic, DS and unbreakable are OP because the majority of survivors use them.
Save the Best for Last is OP because every Demogoron uses it.
Play with your food is OP because every Bubba uses it.
Thanatophobia is OP because every Plague and Legion uses it.
Nurse's Calling is OP because every Ghostface uses it.
20 seconds is a bit, but it is far from OP. That is the basically the equivalent of 2 missed skillchecks. If you ever lost because the killer had 'pop' it was because the killer was getting a lot of hooks. If the killer is getting a lot of hooks, it is because the killer is doing well, or that your team is not doing well.
-
@Sluzzy said:
You said he wasn't overpowered but then said he has so much in his kit and all Freddy's use certain perks. I'll say it for you:. He is overpowered.
Teleporting across the map to remove objective progress is grossly unfair on top of it.
As much as I hate to say it, he either needs reworked again to be "fair" or BBQ and PGTW both needs nerfed. No more aura reading to be exact.
He is far from uncounterable, BBQ is one of the easiest perks in the game to counter (lockers are everywhere my friend) and Pop takes 25% off a gen, and since the standard gen for a solo person is 80 seconds, that is 20 seconds of progress. Even less so if there are more people there to help you. So you are getting this incredibly upset over 20 seconds.
People who say Freddy is overpowered often are just bad at loops, so instead of learning to get better or try and counter a killer they dislike they instead give up, pull out an excuse to explain why they lost.
-
So, it is a very strange perk and it feels killer dependent as some get much better use out of it than either. It is more of a fun perk than one that will win you the game. If you are this far in leveling her up, you might as well finish the job.
If your profile picture is anything to go by, dark devotion can be pretty good on hillbilly, even more so on Bubba
-
For every prestige you have, Matt Cote will give you 1 kiss on the cheek
-
Sounds like a server issue, as the hatch often gives killer priority
-
The heck is up with your colors?
-
Nobody likes fighting toxic players, I am gonna bet you included, so why act like a dick?
-
I do not blame you for DCing, the guy was holding the game hostage if he was just blocking you before EGC with no interest in downing you. Hopefully you reported.
But yeah, just avoid the room tbh. It is a beginner's trap.
