I believe devs are not playing this game or they are very low level at game. This is why they are thinking killers are god and nerfing them.
Probably just play some survivor in the weekends.

Ruin lasts 25 seconds.
No i meant making Ruin basekit without it being a hex (but i get your point). Btw the campers and tunnelers will go down in numbers if that happens, cuz the killer will have more time to go for chases. Cuz right now if the killer spends more than a minute in a chase, there goes 1 gen, or even 2.

Are we gonna play with this way? Because this can go forever.

And who started this by their meaningless comment anyways?

Go and play different game then? Nobody told you play DbD
Nobody told you to give your opinion here but you did anyways right? I did the same thing.

It's not that big of a deal.
If you are not a camper or tunneling killer this won't matter.
So yes, do it.
How do you feel about basekit Ruin to help slowdown gens?

LOLed at killers compensated. You know who the devs are, right?
Yup, 15 hour survivor mains lol. That Boil Over buff they did which gave 25% wiggle progress, proved it.

If a basekit BT makes you quit the game as killer you must be pretty bad. My advice would be to learn how to play killer properly.
Thanks for your advice on how to play killer properly, survivor main.

This is a game, if you need to feel powerful is your problem, not the problem of other 4 people
It's a 4v1 game, obviously the "1" role should be powerful. It's a no brainer. But i bet survivors love being the power role in dbd.
-
@Veinslay said:
Making BT and/or DS basekit would allow teams to stack more prove thyself, windows, spine chill, adrenaline etc. Game would be even more survivor sided than it already is
Exactly, giving a 5th perk to survivors who are already the power role, will be hilarious lol. I really want them to do it so i can see this game die sooner than it already is.

you don't need to tell survivors to travel to different gens, they already do that. It's called avoiding a 3-gen.
Would you like to try again? <3
Atleast the first 2 gens can be done back to back on one side of map while easily avoiding the 3 gen. Try again, you're talking like a 10 hour survivor main who just learnt the phrase "3 gen"

In fairness to survivors, they can't exactly do anything about a killer hard-tunnelling them unless they bring one specific perk, or hope that their teammate brought the other specific perk that helps against tunnelling.
Tunnelling is a legitimate strategy for killers to employ, but because it's a legitimate strategy, there should be a basekit answer to it. That's my view, anyway.
They can body block for their team mates and go down instead. My point is that tunneling and "gen rushing" is basically the same thing, trying to complete your objective as fast as possible even if it ruins somebody else's experience.
-
Nope. *Adds 10 more breakable walls to each map*

I'm a killer main, and so...
For myself, It's The "Thankless Job" aspect of it. I already get enough of that BS at work, from people who ruthlessly tear into me for something that's not my fault, but they gotta vent their rage on someone, and while I understand that, I don't appreciate it. Then I come home, sometimes days after putting up with all that abuse to login for a few games of DbD in an attempt to escape all that soul crushing nonsense, but match after match, I get the same old treatment, if not harsher, simply for playing the role that this game can't exist without.
Is it so wrong for me to just want to have fun, relax, take up the challenge or present it to my opposition in the vain of good sportsmanship? sigh, instead I get bullied in game, harassed, abused in messages, and even threatened or told to commit suicide, just because I was trying to make the game equally fun and challenging for the survivors I go up against.
There's only so much a person can put up with before they decide the effort isn't worth it, and I've been playing this game as killer less, and less every month, because it just doesn't "feel" worth it anymore. Hell, even playing survivor still earns me Ire from my teammates because of perceived inadequacies on MY part, resulting in THEIR loss. Even if you put Game imbalances aside while playing killer, I welcomed everything the devs added as a new threat or challenge that I would have to deal with and try to overcome in order to win in stride, but sadly despite my best efforts... "It's a thankless job, but somebodies gotta do it!"... in the end, this has ultimately become the Killer Players/Mains creed, but that doesn't mean survivors should feel free to be bunch of egocentric and entitled brats to the ones who take up challenge of doing the job! Far too frequently they bemoan or assault Killers for doing what the game itself dictates they do in order to win, just as it does for them.... which is to say: WIN by any means necessary!
FFS Survivor mains, at least try playing killer for a month before you ruthlessly tear into them for doing their job! I just feel it's ridiculous for Survivor mains to continue treating the Killer players of the game like they're repugnant human garbage, just because they chose to play the role that makes this game work, and even worse... have the gall to ask: "Why doesn't anyone one want to play killer anymore?"
Yeah... If this game dies, I know who to put the blame on, and, "Spoiler Alert!" It's not the devs.
Treat your fellow players with respect, learn what they can do, strive to experience both sides and then adapt your playstyles accordingly, but above all have try to have FUN together, and in good sportsmanship. This game can't exist if your opposition can't present a challenge to you, and will die if no one wants to play the role they chose... so stop hating them for their win, stop berating them for your own faults/inadequacies, and start thinking about what you/your team could've done better, but overall respect the fact that without them, there wouldn't be a game in the first place.
Agreed with everything except for the part that it's not the devs fault. It is the devs fault, they made survivor the power role, they gave them second chance perks and made maps and loops mostly in their favour. Survivors won't be acting cocky if the game didn't give them that feeling of power and advantage. The killer should have been the power role, period.
-
Behavior has managed to make the role that is supposed to be scary and powerful into something really stressful and anxiety inducing to play as.

@Yankus said:
I have over 4k hours on killer and still get bullied sometimes. I've watched Otz get bullied. It happens and it sucks. I used to play in a sweaty SWF and I know how competitive and toxic those guys were. I ended up not playing with them anymore after I got tired of how much ######### they talked to every killer.
And the thing is, the game has given them the power to act toxic. They only act toxic and cocky near loops in their favour (which is a lot of loops in the map) and when they know they have second chance perks equipped.
-
Another reason is that the game lacks killers. So if a killer isn't available for a group of survivors, they will throw an inexperienced killer their way regardless of mmr, and they'll get bullied.
-

Killer can be some of the most frustrating experiences in gaming period and I really shouldn't be playing it. But I'm not very smart so I keep playing it, getting frustrated, and doing something stupid I immediately regret before quitting forever until I play again.
Glad you agree! No matter what kinda mentality i go in with, i always end up getting frustrated, especially when my outplays and negated by Dead Hards (for example, used pig's ambush as an anti-loop, but the survivor pressed E on time so it doesn't matter).

@Piruluk said:
So you are saying that killers should be able to down any good survivor within 20-30 seconds.
Essentially asking the game balanced around 4 SWF with assumed perfect survivor players
So are you suggesting they should reduce gen speed instead?

Yeah? And survivors get to go against facecamping Bubba for over four and a half years - who is literally impossible to hook rescue against. Is he being looked at too?
That's just one killer, in particular matches. Dead Hard is almost every survivor, and definitely almost every match.
-
Who the hell even came up with this abomination of a perk? Probably some 10 hour survivor mains in the dev team.

Circle of Healing was just nerfed again yesterday, Dead Hard is getting looked at, and playing and enjoying the killer role are two different things. Maybe try survivor for a while?
Edit: typo.
Dead Hard is being looked at. Just being looked at, for years.

As a survivor main I'll reply to some points -
- Certain killers will camp and tunnel me regardless of BM or not. I can run a Bubba for 4 gens straight (yes I'ma use a lot of pallets, but what do you expect). They'll catch me at the end or near the end and face camp me on hook like its their personal victory. Even when I don't BM or do anything to deserve it. Point is - some people take pleasure in playing like this and ruining someone's chance of survival.
- Only killers I actually teabag are the ones who camp/tunnel and fail horribly. Like they had one duty, and they failed at it. If I get out or get to the exit gates, you failed. And I will make sure to let you know you failed. Employ cheap tactics and fail, you definitely deserve to be made fun of.
- I never teabag or flashlight bait killers if I know they're playing fair. The problem is, A LOT of killers proxy camp or immediately come back to the hook when you save or get saved by someone, despite you taking your time or waiting for the killer to go away. These killers for the most part fall into the same category as #2. They aren't great killers, they know it, and they want the easiest kill possible which is either the person who just came off the hook or the person who just unhooked them and TRIED to heal them.
Also teammates can suck. I had a match for exxample today, where 1 guy did everything he could to help others who were caught and brought to hook, he'd flashlight and disable the hook they're being brought to. Guess what? He was tunneled out. And when I tried to help my fellow teammate at end-game who had been hooked while gate was opened, I still went for the save. Got them to safety but the killer got on me, and the 3rd teammate was just standing behind a wall watching. I made it to the exit gate and got downed, I would have made it if the 3rd teammate (who was fully healed) just bodyblocked. But they were more selfish and just wanted to get out alive. So instead of 3 people getting out alive, 2 people did.
Etc etc.
Stop being a survivor main for like 2 weeks and play killer, you'll realize why the (strategic) proxy camp and tunneling happens. That 8 hooks and 4 man escape thing isn't fun, cuz the killer looses to gen speed.

That does sound nightmarish to me, sweaty matches can be fun but it really depends. I feel like if it's well matched, the match has great energy. But if it's pure sweat, then I'd rather not with MMR LMAO.
At high mmr it is just Nurse and Blight every game cuz they're the only ones that can compete. And as killer you'll get Dead Hard, DS, BT, IronWill/COH on all 4 survivors. It's a very frustating experience. That's why the community hates mmr, mmr has no place in an unbalanced game like dbd. They recently "reworked" mmr but things are still the same (if you didn't know).
-
Be happy you don't have mmr in mobile, every match is a sweat fest with it. Especially playing killer is much harder as you get teams that do all gens in 4 mins with full meta builds, as a result killers start going afk to reduce their mmr.

They get greedy at Loops BECAUSE they have Dead Hard. They did NOT get greedy and negated their mistake. They did NOT screw up. A good Survivor with DH does not make a mistake, they do the extra Loop because they know they can get away with it.
Even if they didn't get greedy, survivors get mindgamed a lot in loops, mind games that they were'nt ready for. And all they have to do is press E at the right moment to negate the killer's mindgame. Lets not pretend DH is not the best second chance perk for survivors.
-
@Tiufal said:
Its quite fascinating while being completely hilarious, that killer players still have that common misconception, that they "outplayed" a survivor, who used his DH to get to a loop. You didnt. Not even a bit.
The survivor did get outplayed, they get greedy at loops and take stupid risks because they know damn well that if they do screw up, their screw up can get fixed by the single press of a button.
-
The devs will never touch Dead Hard. Cuz who's gonna buy them Feng skins if they do?
-
@Phasmamain said:
Can we finally just stop with the narrative that they changed ruin because it was used too much? That was the smallest of a myriad of reasons it was changed
They literally mentioned it in the patch note that Ruin is getting used to 90% of red rank matches, hence it needed changing.
-
I wonder why survivors have to wait 20 mins to find a killer. Maybe it has something to do with killers being treated like ######### by the survivors and by the devs? But yeah lets just punish killers even more, that'll fix stuff right?
-
@Mr_K said:
Where are you finding these killers? I have a couple challenges that require being near the killer for a set time.
Probably because my mmr as survivor is low.
-
Dead hard will never be touched by the devs. It's every survivor's favourite perk cuz it's the best get out of jail free card. I really wanna see how long these "good survivors" would last in a chase without dh.
-
I meant 700 hours guys, not 700k!
-
@Azshhh said:
Clementine & Lee skins would also be awesome
Oh yeah them too! But Clem is below 18 i guess, so i don't think she'll be put into dbd.

@Rezblaze said:
Can we stop with these toxic ass threads?
"Wah wah the devs bad"
There's literally hundreds of threads dedicated to that complaint alone, not even anything productive or constructive here besides the dumbness of the "hire fans" argument as though they wouldn't be doing the exact thing they are doing now even if they did (because none of them probably know how to code).
Survivor main is afraid that the first thing Tru3 and Otz would do is remove Dead Hard.
-
Had a match in Ormund as Myers, had to snuff out the same totem like 8 times lol, cost me 2 gens walking up over there to snuff it out all the time.
-
The devs are scared shitless of displeasing survivor mains since they are like 80% of the player base. And dead hard is survivor mains favourite second chance perk. So i don't think they're gonna change it all lol, no matter what they say.
-

So you switched roles from killer to hooker?
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/PDSLTF04SLGT/image.jpeg
Behavior forcing killers to play like chicken sh*ts lol. This game had so much potential, it's pretty much the only game in it's category. But still they managed to destroy it just because they've always wanted to please survivors, balance around rank 20s, second chance perks etc. Cuz survivors are the ones who buy cosmetics more right?
-
@Bwsted said:
Lose the match on purpose so your mmr doesn't get too high and you can actually have fun?
Mmr is implemented terribly. But what the quoted lines me is that you want easier trials while still winning. There are no free meals. You want to win your games, you gonna have to work for it.
Fun is subjective. If you want easier matches, you need to win less. The more you're able to win, the more you deserve to go against better survivors. Same for survivors who want easy games.
Don't get me wrong guys, i don't want an easy win. I just don't want squads who complete all gens in 5 mins, take me to Coldwind Farm, and use every second chance perk available especially Dead Hard. There is very little a killer can do against that tbh.

The devs are too stubborn and egoistic to remove sbmm lol, even though sbmm made them bleed players. But we playing hockey anyways so.

If you want to turn the 15 minute survivor queues to 30 mins, go ahead and nerf her.

Just don't play killer in dbd lol. Why do you wanna torture yourself like that? Mathieu Cote said it best, play survivor or play some other game.

Same for me, 4 dead hards every game, coldwind farm offerings, insane loopers and when you finally mindgame them, boom, press E to escape.
