  • Not sure who ever said 700% -.- but also Call of Bryne has no 'peak' - it is constant. The only thing you could add to get above the 500% on PTB is with Legions new ultra rare addon.

Yeah, Oercharge now needs 24 seconds to compensate its drawback, if survivors manage to tap the gen within these 24 seconds, it is actually worth running the perk than not having it. It only might be viable with Dragons Grip

"Is it additive, as in, does it start at 175% with a kick and then work its way up to 300% and then drop back down to 200% when Brine deactivates" is correct

If a teammate give you BT, adding 15sec of Endurance & Haste. You dont need 80sec Endurance for OTR. People barely use OTR before for other 2 effect.

Yes, if teammate doesnt have BT, OTR is useful. Pair BT with OTR, OTR is redundant.

I dont want Endurance stacks though, does OTR Endurance disable if healed?

Exactly. IF a mate is bringing BT, otherwise you have basekit BT. As this is the case, I don't think that there will be many BT picked next week ongoing. Still 15 seconds is not 80 seconds. As well, if you get hit with BT, you cant use DH anymore. Bad luck, but there are perks that dont stack, and what happens if perks stack was demonstrated on the PTB which was a disaster.

And again, just because you get hit within 15 seconds or even within 5 seconds, it doesn't make the perk useless. You don't need to run OTR for endurance only, as I said it has THREE effects!

And do you really count ingame like "this time I was hit early enough, could have gone without OTR"? I think extending the endurance effect to 80 seconds is pretty decent, if you get hit within 5/15/80 seconds doesn't matter, BT does the exact same thing. What if you don't run OTR and get hit after 16 seconds? Is BT a useless perk now because this happens once in a while?

And OTR endurance is not deactivated when you are healed to full. It deactivates on ??? actions (forgot the english word) which is sabotage, cleanse, heal others/self, repair and open gates. But this is the same deactivation condition like on DS, BT and basekit BT as well. While the other OTR effects (aura reading and 100% Iron Will) will be active for the entire 80 seconds, giving you protection against Nurses and BBQ for example (80 seconds can totally protect you against BBQ. Getting off hook, healed and find a gen while someone else goes on hook can totally happen within 80 seconds)

  • There is a mechanic against hardcore slugging. Dont swarm the slug. Mostly it is a problem, when all survivors rush in and try to heal instantly with the killer chasing nearby. This is a bad idea, you gve the killer slugging value if you let him chase and protect the slug at the same time. In these situations it is normally the survivors fault why slugging is useful. Go in when he picks up or just do gens, then it is not worth slugging

If you talk about complete slugging builds with Third Seal and Knockout etc, then let him have it. Try to break it at some point, this is a difficult thing to do but can be done. But I dont think that this is a big problem that needs to be adressed. Kinda same like mirror myers, rare thing, can be hard, can be countered. Nothing ro worry about

  • @C3Tooth said:

This is why I said OTR sounds strong, is just because the possible exploit it gives (with being healed and go back for body block, and tank double hit from both BT & OTR. If they either remove body block or endurance stack, BT is still stand above.

Now the endurance stack changed, you can see how OTR become useless, unless teammates dont bring BT and not take hit for you.

OTR is not useless. it extends the endurance effect from 5 sec to 80 sec and gives you 2 additional effects. how is that useless? thats like saying BT is useless, it does nothing else than extending the basekit duration. btw going back to full health and then body blocking 2 hits for a total duration of 80 sec is not "strong" but busted.

this is a totally healthy change.

  • it is not supposed to let you take 3 hits for anti tunnel. BT basekit only works for 5 sec, OTR for 80, that is self-BT but way better. for the rare situation that you get hit within 5 sec, you won't get an extra hit, but I wouldn't say that OTR is not working then. You still have aura reading immunity and 100% Iron Will, better than the original IW.

So I wouldn't ask for too much, OTR will already be the new DH, in regard of pickrate

  • I think that butchering perks is in general a bad design. The game as is will always cause killers to stack 2-4 slowdown perks and survivors meta will always be second chance perks. Only the perks will change when they adjust them, but not their purpose.

And butchering perks is simply bad as it forces meta again. No variety. Ruin was still good when it works, if you choose to protect it with Undying to get a decent bit of value in the early game, that would be worth it. If someone wants to take the risk and gamble about how long it will be up.

Now: Ruin is worthless, still can't stack with gen kicking perks which have become stronger and even if you have a long lasting ruin, its effect will be worse. So why run it? Result: noone even dares to test it anymore and we will always see the Overcharge + Call of Bryne combo on every killer. Wonderfull, welcome to the new meta.

If boons were somehow nerfed and you barely see Ruin, maybe it would become less common that every survivor is a pro totem hunter and the few times you would see it, it would actually be of more value. But we will never know because noone will pick it now.

Same on DS and BT for example. Sure, adjust things to make them not meta anymore, but with the current changes (DS is useless now and BT is basekit, on top Iron will got nerfed) we will 100% see 80% Off the Record usage in the following few months to be the new meta. Why wouldn't you use it if it combines 2 perks in one that were common? And you don't even rely on your mates to bring BT anymore, just bring your new self-BT yourself. And hey, aura reading immunity on top. That's how you shake up the meta. Well done

  • I would like to see the classic skins of the characters before the rework tbh ^_^'

or at least the gamecube versions

  • How is a down within seconds not worth it? It wouldnt happen in this scenario and btw a really stupid "counterplay". This is like saying condemned is worthless because you can get rid of the tape midchase. This is a free down for the killer and in no way worthless.

Killer is weakest in the beginning of a match, there are potentially 4 survivors on gens. Having someone down/hooked means, one is on hook, one needs to go unhook/heal and probably one is in chase, meaning only one survivor is on gens from that on, 75% less gen progress going on.

This is exactly why Corrupt is strong even when you don't directly notice its value. But it means at match start there are NOT 4 survivors on a gen, they are most likely searching for one while you chase your first target. Having an early down means that you got the same vaule. If the survivor chooses to not mend to kill corrupt, it would be even better for you as you are about to down your second target as well. Which means one on the ground, one on the hook, 2 either being chased or busy with getting the team back up. That would be wonderful if that happens (from killer POV). Because the gens are not blocked, but who is working on gens anyway

  • Just based on the offerings? Wouldnt expect a full squad of sabo. But tbh badham isn't even the best for sabo, you could run any map then. Typically you go for RPD and abuse the library or Midwhich which has generally bad hook spawns

  • There is a Ghostbusters 4v1 announced, I think Epic exclusive but not sure

  • Totally disagree. So you think it is fine to run into a killer that is literal dogshit because noone can perform with the killer and compensate this fact by occassionally run into a nurse that ends games within 3 minutes no matter what u do? Sounds like a bad concept. Easier learning curve with viable power level is my pick

  • Cant say exactly but I think around 700 on my killers and probably 300-400 on my survivors. Top loaders are Jill (160) and Artist (250)

  • @dugman said:

Of course all of those tests were optimal scenarios for the killer where he knew exactly what direction the survivor was running and there were no line of sight blockers or vaults or pallet or other obstacles in the way. And he specifically tested mainly ranged killers in the video who could hit from just within their range in a few steps.

What Otz should do here is do control tests which are identical to the ones in the video but he counts off an additional two seconds before acting. Some of the killers would fair a bit worse (Demo would have to walk a bit before lunging for instance), some would be unaffected (Huntress would still hit with a hatchet pretty easily) and some would definitely be worse (Freddy and Clown would both be worse, and Trapper or Meyers or Doctor, etc, would have a bigger run for sure.)

yes, one point. but having a DS not even get you out of the very limited Phead range is quite a statement

    @rvzrvzrvz said:

Easy fix is to let it at 5 seconds, arguably even the endgame nerf is unnecessary, it's strong but perks like noed exist, someone explain to me why a free kill using M1 and facecamping is better than a free escape ?

because NOED can easily be countered, DS not

Never saw a complaint from a killer that it gave too much information. The best part was that it showed the direction the survivor was moving, now you get one ping and then silence.

if you have 10 crows fly up within 5 seconds and your screen is spammed with bubbles that block LOS, then this is something that killers indeed have complained about. That's why there is a cooldown of insanely long 5 seconds. This is not a nerf.

And if you look at the change log, there are literally only QOL changes and buffs. and even the one nerf listed is a buff: lowering the range from max 48m to 36m. And if you know why Whispers lowers the activation range with each tier up, then you know why this is a buff.

Btw There was never a direction linked to this perk, only locations

  • @Zozzy said:

Survivors don't like not having basekit counters to killers. This has been going on since 2016 when they nerfed crows because spies from the shadows was deemed "op" even though survivors could equip calm spirit to counter it.

They made it so crouching would not scare the crows, reduced crow numbers and made it harder to scare them... 4 years later they gave sfts a cooldown thanks to even more complaints.

Counterplay for me but not for thee as they say.

I think they gave the cooldown to spies because killers were annoyed by getting machine gun fired with crow notifications on certain maps and the game for example had like 5 crows in total and now works fine with spies. Not the best example you put there

  • The power of selfcare is that you can heal when you need to. There are enough situations where you are unable to act, like gens in the open with no more pallets around and whatever. You can just use it wrong, like letting people die on hook while you heal (note: it still would be a waste to go for an injured unhook while killer is camping).

Healing takes 32 seconds, which is almost a half gen if you work on it injured instead. BUT extending your chase at least 20 seconds when you are able to take a hit, it gives 3 mates at least 20 seconds of time to recover or, if all 3 work on gens during your chase, finish 60 seconds worth of a gen.

In your scenario, healing against an instadown killer is pretty much wasted in many scenarios, so I would say, yeah, that is a bad perk for these guys because they misuse it. But selfcare in itself is not a bad perk. And in solo Q you either need something like Bond, a medkit or Selfcare, because not everyone if good enough to play No Mither style

  • @VonCrow said:

This is an asymmetric game. 4 vs 1 or 1 vs 4.

This means the side that is alone should be strong enough to win any 1 vs 1, but the team with 4 people can win if they work together. At least, if you want the game to be as balanced as possible.

What I mean by this is that if you were able to run the killer for 5 gens then playing killer would be absolutly miserable and no one would do it (the ammount of players playing killer is low enough already).

I would say that with an equal skill you shouldn't be able to run the killer for more than 2 gens, but the killer should drop you the moment he realizes that you know how to loop and he needs to focus on another weak survivor (if there is one).

so you think on equal skill the killer is about to get 3 hooks a game?

  • There shouldn't be loops that can be that efficient that a killer cant hit the survivor after the window is blocked by the entity. If you look good killer streams, they have chases like 40-50 seconds until they down someone. This is mostly the case when survivors are not stealthy enough and offer free chases while unhooking or being too close th the down etc.

These are the games where killers perform well without being too oppressive. If survivors are efficient on gens, it is still a close match in the end with almost everything from 1-4k possible. Being able to run a killer for 2 gens is already too much, unless you drop every pallet you pass, so that future chases are done way faster.

Just think of 12 hooks compared to 5 gens. Lets say a 10 hook 4k is fair enough, then 40 seconds (half a gen) is actually the value that fits with streamer observation

  • Same. I just don't like the turkey-ish appearance :D Fluff and design reminds me on the Darkness from the House on haunted hill movie, just... a bit worse :D

  • I think it is ok for the moment, I noticed several good matches against Dredge so far and since other stealth killers all have drawbacks when being stealthy (lullaby, slow uncloak or other audio signals) I think it is just fair atm to have something to work with on survivor side. And it is not asked too much imo that the Dredge has to work with LOS blockers to get a stealth hit.

If it turns out that survivors get used to it and stealth is totally worthless, I think it might be worth taking another look. But on Sadako it was also said "she is fully visible, stealth is useless" but with and versus Sadako I notice enough free stealth hits right now. Aura reading ok, that might be something good, also because it counters Windows of Opportunity which helps you a lot in navigation during Nightfall. But I also think that would be a nice addition to a future addon pass rather than being basekit

  • @dugman said:

I agree that keys are a bit weak compared to the other items, but that being said I did have a survivor escape from me using a key about a week ago so it does happen. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, I also escaped once with a key since the change. But I guess that tells that you don't pick keys for hatch escapes anymore. You need addons or they are worthless

  • @Souplet said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2980731#Comment_2980731

2 survivors with 2 gens left looks like an undeserved escape but yeah, from survivors point of view it feels deserved i suppose

If you go against a proxy-camp tunneling spirit with mori and are down to 2 survivors, seeing how the other guy is left to bleed out for the sweaty 4k, then finding a key in game, directing your mate to the hatch with your aura, time it correctly during a phase to go for the pickup, take the hit to boost to the hatch and see your mate jump in behind you really feels deserved and I think actually was.

There are a lot of stories, good and bad. But I agree that the key change overall was necessary and healthy. But addonless keys being more useless than power struggle without synergizing perks is a bad thing as well. Give it a fun purpose like locking lockers. Invest 0.2 seconds to close it and make the killer check that gen locker for 2 more seconds or something else.

  • Meh, not sure. I mean I'm not a fan of the whole "remake train" that made it from Hollywood into the gaming world. I kinda liked the remakes of RE 1-3 because the characters were made of like 20 polygons and a reshape was really appreciated, containing enough new stuff to not feel completely identical. But my gamecube version of RE4 still feels really playable, so I don't think I will buy RE4. Definitely watching some streams to check how much it improved and if it feels like a new game enough to be worth it, but I'm not convinced currently

  • The most significant part of STBFL is that it counters the shift+W meta. You wiping your weapon for 2 seconds almost standing still while the survivor boosts away gives him a lot of distance. There was once a video comparing the clown's slowdown addon effects short before he got his antidote update. Just running in a straight line to catch up after a hit takes over 20 seconds. If you can cut that by half, it basically means that the survivor can't run across the entire map before he needs to start looping, he has to stop at the next loop possible because with 8 stacks you don't make it to the second next. And if the next pallet is already down, then at least you need to use exhaustion very early.

And this significant bonus already applies noticeably after the second hook with 4 stacks, assuming you don't find the obsession early. And then the obvious things of course, which survivors don't really can play around. Like team unhooks, especially at endgame. It is basically impossible to have someone unhooked and all get out by body blocking unless you hook someone right next to an open gate. Someone will always go back on the hook.

And I agree to others here, it is not overrated. My impression is that everybody knows it is stronger on certain killers, viable on a few less and roulette on most. And that you can't always decide to not hit your obsession and lose stacks, which lessens the value a lot. But it has high potential on the right killers

I have seen Mandy mentioning that P3-1 should be enough!

thank you, that is important information xD otherwise I would have to bring another 11 killers to lv 50 first

  • @MandyTalk another important question that came up, which I didnt find in the regular information. for the unique reward, do you need to have the character at P3-50 or is P3-1 enough? Do you have that information?

  • I dont think any status effect really needs an update. Blindness isnt even too bad because a lot of good perks like Detectives Hunch, Bond or Kindred are countered by it, or even using maps. It is more like what you have to do to inflict Blindness and how long it lasts, if it is worth it to pick.

Also Oblivious for example. The effect itself is quite nice and can give easy hits, but the problem is that the killer normally doesn't know who is oblivious and where that guy is, to land a hit. If you can somehow get a build that gives you the information, then the effect is very good

  • I dont know why you should question good manners at all. I think it is pretty self explanatory why someone would expect that. Tbh the world is full of **** and there is a reason why there is a term like "shitstorm" but no "lovestorm" or equal. And instead of just growing a thicker skin and telling everyone to do so we could instead just be more respectful. just my opinion

btw your post is kinda inconsistent. you ask why people care about good manners and finish with "say gg and move on". that toxicity is fine explained with a guy that rages on someone saying gg. am I the only one that doesnt get the red line?

    @TheSubstitute said:

People do quit games over other people being toxic. The game would be healthier overall if all the people who think being toxic to their opponents is fine and 'it's no big deal' would quit playing instead.

It's just bullying and being miserable is all that it is. The fact there are less repercussions for it in a video game than there would be in real life is the only reason why so many people do it. That doesn't change what the behaviour is.

exactly. I think sitting in front of a monitor somehow makes people think they are invulnerable. this is not only in games but everywhere on the internet. just take the comments section of newspaper pages or something. you can compare it to the red button vs having to kill someone with a knife. same result, but with that distance you dont even know what you did, even though you "know" about what you just did.

Why am I getting pulled back into this thread?

The OP said before the change there was a maximum of 16 searches, because +box addons didn't exist right before the change, so the maximum number of boxes was 4 right before the change. However, before Pig's massive addon pass, the maximum number of boxes was 6, and since there was no RNG protection back then, one survivor absolutely could have gotten stuck with 6 searches for the same trap.

Have fun in the fog! Seriously, I'm done responding this time. If you're still having fun with Pig, then thumbs up to you! It really shouldn't affect your life at all if I think she's gutter trash now.

Ok, ignoring all of my other arguments, especially the one why you throw away your main if there are enough counter arguments. tbh this seems to me like you just want to be right, not to have a discussion

And j still think that the winner always has to consider the feeling of the loser (if they have sportsmanship) when a game ends in a one-sided stomp, the premise all this discussion is based on. I don't care about close or semi close games, i am talking about 4e with 0/1 hooks, 4ks at 5 gens, 10/0 in soccer, 25/0 in volleyball and so on.

The loser never wants to hear anything from the winner and the winner doesn't have anything productive to say to the loser.

Anything else is just for self satisfaction of the winners like "i was just nice/a good sport".

No, you didn't read the room/atmosphere and didn't consider the feelings of the loser.

But i guess i won't convince you about my pov from the loser side and you won't convince me about yours so let's just end it here.

"The loser never wants to hear anything from the winner and the winner doesn't have anything productive to say to the loser."

    • wrong, I even stated above that I feel exactly the other way. This is an assumption you generalize on your own feelings and as I said before, in soccer and other sports you see this behavior regularly.

And you ignore what I said about "gg" being a phrase used to express respect. Good Sportsmanship is about respect to each other, no matter about the outcome.

I can just repeat, everyone can feel about it how he wants, but the OP is about "gg is bad manner" and that is totally not the case. You say "everyone" but this is simply wrong. You may feel like being taunted but this is not what your opponent tries to express. This is actually not to discuss about. Saying gg in itself is no BM, it is a phrase to express respect. There is just a minority of d***s being ironically about it and actually use it as BM and a majority of bad losers interpreting it like this.

  • @Coffeecrashing How come you talk about the 5th box basekit change as a nerf and now refer to the old +box addons as a benefit? As stated in OP, there was a maximum of 16 searches, so even with 6 boxes you don't need to search six times on a single trap, 4 is maximum.

Also: "It’s increased search time, but decreased travel time." is just half of the cake. If survivors are forced to search an additional box, they are forced to travel to that box as well. You can't say "survivors now just travel 80% of the map max" and ignore the fact that before they sometimes, or too often, only had to travel 25% of the map.

If you don't want to play her anymore without even testing her just because of your assumptions, which have been argued against, then you give up pretty fast. Not sure why you don't take the other examples into account and rethinking if this is really a nerf and just throw away your main. But hey, your choice. We tried, I guess

  • @ThiccBudhha said:

Um... It is still a nerf? Like, all I care about is the headpop. It is not that difficult to understand why people are calling it a nerf.

What?! In what way is an average search buff from 2.5 to 3 negatively affecting the chance of a headpop? And just btw, the party hats never were meant to be free kills in the first place. No.1 effect is game slowdown. If you want somehow reliable kills with it, you still can run Tampered Timers + the duration addon combo. But having a killer that gets free kills for the cost of a 4 second pickup animation instead of a 2 second animation would be silly.

Interesting to consider that very high skill SWFs will now know to count and announce searches to plan around who will have to dedicate more or can dedicate less time to searching. Especially in matches where you get a 4/4/3/1 - that last survivor may likely greed pretty hard knowing they just have the one search.

An even higher skill Pig may be able to count searches as well, in some contexts - it's really juicy info to have and will add a lot of strategic considerations at the upper layers of MMR pig matches

Yeah, so we have one single and rare occurrence that only in full SWF will be giving a good info to the team. Should I agree to revert an overall good rework to get back to a worse state? And what about the case that the last pick is a 4? Like the whole team is running scared like "don't touch the last gen or Im dead", right? I think this is still kinda balanced, right?

  • @burt0r said:

And still doesn't change the feeling of the loser in any of those cases.

Good for the winners that they are good sports but they still don't consider the mood of the loser in not wanting any pity or like in the other thread much less advice.

Again, this is the loser's decision to eat it like that. If someone comes to them expressing respect and they react like bad losers, it is up to the loser to feel bad and ignore the respect, it is not BM to say gg.

Tbh I would rather say it is respectless to say nothing, would feel like they express "not worth talking to them, they were no competition".

GG literally means "good game", do you really believe someone getting looped for 5 gens straight and then seeing the guy he has been chasing for 5 minutes go away is having a good game? He isnt having fun, he is being humilliated, I dont blame him or the other players, I blame the MMR for making such a match but that person is not having fun at all and there is no need to say "good game" to someone being beaten that bad, it sounds condescending, you know what most people respond to those kind of ggs? "yeah for you" then they get barraged by "ez" "baby" "noob" and stuff like that, people saying "gg" after a stomp usually say it to add insult to injury.

Whats the winning side meant to say on my opinion after a stomp? you already answered for me: "have a nice day", "good luck next match" or "sorry this matchmaking wasnt right", those things are not bad manners, you are not rubbing anything nor suggesting getting massacred is entertaining in any way, either you give them best wishes or emphatize they got screwed by an error on a system, Ive even seen a "bg, this wasnt a fair match" and nobody got tilted at anyone.

Take on account, Im talking ONLY about matches where one side dominates the other entirely like OP talked about, as I already said, close matches or similar a "gg" is not condescending in any way, both teams played and one has to win but if its close "gg" can be interpreted as "you were a challenge to beat".

You can read it that way, but I think it is totally wrong to insinuate BM if someone says gg. Best example is OhTofu who ALWAYS says gg after every match, no matter how much he oth they got stomped. You can say that you don't regard a game to be good if it goes like this, but "gg" is a phrase more than anything "literal" to say after a match, and insinuating bad intentions for saying this is simply wrong if you say it is teh default way of interpretation. Sure there are people that mean it as salty comment, but saying gg is not by definition BM

Funny that saying nothing is suddenly "lowering their head like they are guilty".

    No one said that.

"Be graceful in Victory and defeat" aka say GG as the loser and read the mood as the winner and just move on.

And DBD doesn't have to be pro for this. The similarity stays, be it in DBD, lol, r6s and all pvp games, sports/video/cards/boars/whatever.

yeah, the similarity stays as well for winning teams reaching out a hand to the losers as gesture of respect

  • @HectorBrando said:

If its a stomp? its bad manners, its like winning 10-0 in football and telling the other team "good game", it wasnt a good game, it wasnt even a game, it was an humilliation. If the losing team says it first or its a win but a close game or at least somewhat balanced? its not bad manners then.

Most times I see a winning side writing "gg" after a clear stomp is almost always an attempt to fish salt.

good sportsmen dont mean it salty, you see handshakes regularly in pro sports, no matter where. but the dbd community is not pro in any way, 80% are salty lil b****s. I mean, are you not allowed to say anything? U really mean that? U have to wait for the losing team first? Like you may not say "have a nice day" or "good luck next match" you would always read it like "hope you find your skill next match, tehe"?

what is the winning side meant to say in your opinion? "sorry we stomped you, we are ass for doing so, we should have played with you, letting you hope for as long as possible before we strike the winning goal"? or just say nothing, lowering heads like they are guilty of anything?

  • I would love to see more people say gg when they lost. it might be BM if the killer is facecamping on 5 gens left or tunneling that hard to get his first kill on 3rd hook in the game, or when clicky tbags say gg afterwards. but it is absolutely, I would even say, recommended to say gg if it was a normal, fair game. as said above, this is purely sportsmanship. after a fair game of soccer, denying the handshake is BM, not the handshake if you played way better than the other team.

I would not really call it "bad manners". But I would question if the person who said "gg" would have also said it if they would have lost.

Because it is quite obvious that a Survivor Team who had a DC and lost a game at 5 Gens due to that or a Killer who got 2 Hook in total did not have a good game. So saying "gg" in those situations is wrong IMO.

But some people just say it after every game so it is not really to rub anything in.

If the other side had a bad game, I usually wait if they say anything. If a Killer got only 4 Hooks and way stomped, but they still say "gg", I say "gg" as well. Same if Survivors did not have a good game, if they still say "gg", I will say it as well. But I wont be the first one to say it if the other side had a bad game.

"would have said it if they would have lost" is already a problem in this community. expecting the worst and reacting to it before it happens. is at least what I noticed too often. if the other side had a bad game, you can still say gg. this is not like saying "nananana naaa naaa". at least the other(s) played the game, getting some good chases and enjoy as much as possible, instead of just idling in the corner or making noise. as long as there is no B; in game, there is no need to expect BM on someone saying gg.

  • Blight - broken techs and will most likely be either horrible for survivor players (current state) or for killer players (I guess future state) because as is he is totally OP with 0 counterplay (imo due to his gigantic rush hitbox) and if they remove that, he will be the bouncy bob that is easy to outplay, just how current blights play that dont know how to use his power.

Trapper - yes, trapper. 0 interaction power. he is a normal M1 killer and occassionally the chase ends early. Feels like "yeah, you outplayed me cuz I picked the wrong path." As much fun as playing against DH.

I wouldn't even pick a third one but I guess if I had to, it would be Trickster. His "imbalance" of "you cant do anything" to "he cant do anything" depending on which tiles you are at seems also kinda boring to interact. it's either "im dead" or " leave or waste a minute here", barely situations where you get nice gameplay and 'yay' or 'wp' moments

  • The ~1.4 million BP fits my experience. If you want to get the good addons to play them I also had characters with 1,7 million to get from 1 to 50 but I guess with the new prestige system announcement, this is not what anyone still wants to do

  • On RE and ED I kinda think that the main characters are tough badasses that are made to survive stuff like that. So maybe objectively they might have had the greatest suffering, but as a normal person having to go through deadly nightmares and all you can do to avoid it is staying awake (which is a true torture already, finished with almost secure death) is somehow my pick

For now though it's probably best to not prestige though right? If we prestige now we lose all of our perks. But with the patch that won't happen.

I would think getting every character to 50 and then stopping until the patch would be the ideal situation?

Not, if you want to have the reward. But if you don't want to have the reward... but you don't know what it will be... that's my point

  • well, there are like 100 perks in the pool. meaning 300 perks you need to collect in the bloobweb. if you are not even getting 3 perks per web yet... anyone wanna do precise maths or is it clear already?

  • I even got "gg" censored once. And I already once opened a thread to collect BS censors by everyone to show how broken the filter is. Also you cant type in different languages because random stuff is censored for no reason

And it got no response at all. Noone cares about the filter. Funny that it annoys harder than it suppresses bad language. And when bad language is used you basically know what was to be said anyway, while the normal chat is not readable at all xD

    Yes and no.

She needs help elsewhere, for sure - her stealth, for instance, may as well not exist and why the hell does she need a lullaby?

However, Condemn needs some changes. As it stands, unless you're playing against complete cucumbers, it should never become a threat and if it does, it's super easy to get rid of.

The issue is that an instant mori is just too strong to be allowed to happen often. It should be something you gain much faster, forcing you to interact with tapes more - and if it reaches maximum, you get KI'd and Exposed, with a mori on the final hook - PH style.

As a whole, Sadako is among the worst killers ever released. Not a single part of her kit is that impactful, or has much synergy. It feels like Dredge is everything she was supposed to be.

I said as PTB feedback that the comdemned status should trigger other effects to make survivors want to get rid of it. Making it more lethal would easily feel or be unfair. Just think of the pig addons to force it, afk pig and all that. That would not be a good change. Make it like increasing effects as more stacks you get. Like fake Sadakos approaching you, fake teleport or lullaby sounds or TV teleports to scare you away from gens, random status effects like blindness or oblivious that happen more frequently depending on yourt stack count...

Or at least add these effects on addons for the next addon pass on Sadako. But at least one of these effects I would like to see basekit, to make it more viable by default. But definitely dont make the condemned thing more lethal.

And again, dont forget that this "midchase tape insert" grants a free down. a free hook state. this is not nothing. and collecting tapes doesnt give you that much tbh. since the update, you have only 25 seconds to get the tape away. otherwise you only remove a single stack, as the tape gives you an additional stack and if you need more than 25 seconds, you get another one. also picking up a second tape while holding one is not really an option now anymore or your effort is almost negated and you stay on the same stack count.

If survivors dont care about getting tapes away, that also allows sadako to keep her mobility up, which is pretty nice to be honest. If survivors remove tapes to counter MYC (or remote camping), or just to keep you away from gens, you will notice. Without those survivors you will always have a 3gen vs Sadako. Had that multiple times

I agree that Sadako isnt the strongest killer and could need some help, but dont make Condemned more lethal.

We'll be giving out more information as time gets closer to when this is released.

Well, this was not what I asked for :(

I guess it will just be hit or miss with my prestige decisions

I'm mostly curious about when the patch will drop. I have a feeling the reason they're doing a Blood Hunt right now is because they'll drop the Prestige Rework with the anniversary on the 16th. Which would be a shame if the unique rewards are worth grinding for, or something feel like you "missed out" if you don't get them.

It is said "summer" and as the anniversary content was mostly part of the PTB I dont think that the prestige patch will be next month. Earliest I would guess is the next midchapter patch

  • @Havi said:

Does it worth to prestige a character? I'm newbie in the game (just about 300 hours) but I just want to do it with Meg Thomas so that I could get whatever they are going to give away

If it really is worth to prestige to lv 3 now to get the unique reward with the next bigger patch is not clear yet. thats why I asked for details here because they did not say yet what the reward will be. if the reward is not worth it, I would not prestige until the patch is out, because you avoid losing all your progress.

on the other hand, once they announce what the reward will be, it might be too close to get another like 5 million BP to get from prestige 0 to prestige 3 -.-

I think DBD is objectively fine because I know what it is. It's the best 7/10 game ever made HAHA. Can't expect every game to be the best ever made but while saying that the biggest issue is the devs over time didn't process the game which is why it's stale now. Games like Fortnite are live service just like DBD but the main difference is that Fortnite continues to add stuff to the game whether it's new games modes, updates, un vaulting weapons keeping the game fresh while creating No Build Modes to appease newer and returning players. DBD just chooses not to be the ultimate party horror game and that's what frustrates me the most since it has all the licenses to do it...

How is DBD not adding new stuff... 🤔

  • If you put in NOED you should list Dead Hard as well 🤪
