  • So if I stack them theres 6 boxes? Damn...

  • @BigBrainMegMain said:

The green one gives them more time to take off their Trap.

    The Purple does not.

Stacking them both is good! But...the green one gives them a longer timer.

So, Purple with Tempered Timer is a beastly combo.

Ohhhh I was reading that wrong. Got you. Thanks 😊

No you don't. I've been playing without it on some killers and I do just fine!

You can lunge with it, very far in fact, much much further than a regular lunge. Just hold the button down like you would any other lunge.

Alright im pretty sure youre messing with me, but ill try it

  • Yeah i think thats pretty common, i run bbq and tt and see them do it

  • Its not swf, its gen speeds. Both of these games were swf

I'll wait why you name another economic system that puts profits above people, and continues to destroy thousands of lives, and wreck the ecosystem of our Earth for things that don't matter and get thrown away back into the same place they pulled it from.

I don't think they intended MoM to be so powerful but who knows for certain.

I just think its stupid and ridiculous to try and insert your politics on a video game forum. I could make you look stupid, thats nkt a hard thing to do to commies. This just isnt the place for it so instead Im just going to face palm again and then laugh.

Because if I had more matches like that I would be probably sitting at rank 17. It's impossible to pip with evader only and those points for killer dieversion are not enough for lightbringer. Besides it's making me mad that there's nothing much I can do and I can get abused just like that because somebody doesn't like me.

If youre getting face camped to death that often then you need to get better at chase and not getting caught right at tge beginning of the match

They are beginners playing at low ranks. Camping is fine it's a strategy just like gen rushing. But in red ranks camping killers are one game in 25 perhaps.

I get that, that was my point. Looking at these forums youd swear every killer was a first hook face camper

@Dead_by_Gadfly i am NW I live in California. And my all my friends live near me. so are dedicated server is in northern Cali and we live Southern California so we get 30ms and below but when we find a match we get players from East and overseas cause all of a sudden it jumps to 80ms and up and it’s annoying

Idk then man. I finally just saw ond, but it was a rank 20 and we had 4 gens done before they got their first hook. I wouldnt even blame a r1 for camping in that situation. You said youre playing with your friends, are you guys getting gens done stupid quick?

  • @VectorRises said:

@Dead_by_Gadfly I am a Rank eight about to hit seven I’m in the purple ranks I am seeing killers that are a higher rank than me still hook camping either these guys are farming with people to get that far or they just suck because even when I play against lower ranks they don’t do that it’s only the higher ones I’ve been seeing

Maybe its your region? Im in east us. You?

Ive been playing all yesterday and today, havent seen a single one

  • Im hoping it will be fine on next gen consoles.

  • @VectorRises said:

@Dead_by_Gadfly hook camping is where the killer hooks you and the stands directly in front of you and does nothing. My Xbox gt is VectorRises

Yeah i almost never see face camping anymore. My only guess is youre lower rank, youll see proxy camping in red ranks but theres usually a legit reason for it. But face camping is noob #########, thats yellow and green mostly.

  • @VectorRises said:

@Carlosylu i play Xbox as well. I have used the flashlight multiple times hitting killer in the face and he never drops the survivor and keeps going like nothing happens. If you can help me with that. I would appreciate it

This is timing, you need to finish blinding the killer when his animation ends from standing up. You cant stun him for the drop while hes in the middle of animation.

I just had a match where Huntress was on me for 3 gens, failed to get me to basement, on me for remaining 2 gens then face camped me during the EGC and later on downed me after the unhook and camped me lying on the ground. I don't think that people who que up just to play this way care about anything but to make someone mad. This is broken game mechanic that needs fixing and no penalty will discourage it

Dude, you kicked her ass and your team escaped, why are you mad? Did you want to hold m1 the whole game?

  • I dont underst and how so many of you see this so often and I almost never do. Its so rare

My main problem is I just find it difficult to control my left hand with enough dexterity to juke hits and look behind me while running. In order to compensate for my inability to run the Killer, I will do my best to get them as far away from the gens or hooked person as possible. I have gotten pretty decent at throwing the Killer off of my trail as well. I will also pop a gen across the map to get the Killer to come look for me so my teammates have time to heal or finish the gen they're working on.

I think stealth is a legit playstyle unlike some and does require some skill, I also think the truly best players can do both. Do whatever youre comfortable with 😊

  • @clem1710 said:

For the 360, make a simple m1 attack. The auto aim should do the job

Sorry but this is bad advice. If you do this youre going to get juked to high heaven by the better survivors that know how to cheese the auto aim.

Patience is key. Wait for it to end, smack them with quicj attack. You should be smelling their farts so lunge isnt necessary

  • @MisterNegatives said:

Hello fellow killer mains. How do you guys counter 360s/window techs/locker techs/ dumb tech and things like that??? I am looking for some tips because I am a rank 10 survivor main but I am starting to play a lot of killer.

Be patient, take a step back, wait for it to end, smack them.

The one that gets me is the little juke they do that cheeses the auto aim, pisses me right tf off.

Nothing you can do to counter locker tech, if it happens to you once in a game, theyre going to do it again. When they try it again anticipate it and fake that youre going to open the locker, when the guy steps out go after him.

If you think theyre going to window tech as soon as you step through turn and look, if you dont see scratches go the other way

She is amazing on the new Cowboy map. Since I can't loop, Claudette is a God send.

Its literally just running in circles and staying as close to tge wall as possible. The only hard part is being able to judge when to throw the pallet and that comes with experience. When in doubt, just throw the pallet.

  • Its so weird that theres no in game voice communication. Just at a base level youd thjnk there would be and it would be proximity based.

That said id mute everyone everytime so idk πŸ˜‚

  • Ds, bt, unbreakable are all fine.

Freddy is not op, neither is doc or any other killer

People whine to much about these things while ignoring the real issue, gen speeds. Not that gens should be slower but that there needs to be something else between the survivors and the exit gates besides 400 seconds (which can be reduced significantly) and 1 person trying to stop them.

The Kate and Boil Over challenges both reward you with pieces to Dwight's story. It is very weird and forces players to buy or own Kate to unlock Dwight's full story. Unless Dwight's story includes Kate in it, I see no reason for her challenges to contain bits of his story.

Gotcha, I havent looked at any of the logs yet, I ssve those and binge watch all of them when I finish level 4, so ive never paid attentiin to what unlocks what. I agree thats a weird choice

  • Wait I just went and actually looked at the blood web, is this what you mean op

    20200528_111931.jpg

The blood web has 3 "starting points" you can just select dwight without doing kates, same at the top with huntress

I feel it's always been there but I swear it's way more common since we started dedicated.

I'm not trying to slate dedicated or anything, I do think it's a massive improvement over killer hosted p2p but I think for this 1 killer specifically it's a problem.

I'd almost be tempted to say with huntress to but I think I'm just bad with her so I can't make a comment.

It effects nurse heavily too. I want to throw my controller every time I see my weapon pass through a survivor with no hit

Ya must be smoking something. This has nothing to do with SWF, you just confirmed it yourself!! When the match starts, if there are 4 different survivors on 4 different gens, Most killers can only chase off one. If this survivor capitalizes on a few of the maps best loops (sometimes the killer has to oblige to take away that loop option if it’s a strong one)...that means the other 3 survivors will pop their gens in less than 1 minute 30 seconds. Looking at this mathematically, without even trying, 4 random survivors not SWF can have 60% game completion within the first 1 minute 30 seconds. This is NOT the fault of the survivors, they’re doing what they’re supposed to be doing. The problem is speed.

This. I showed this in another thread last night. These games were back to back, both groups were swf

    20200527_190510.jpg 20200527_190448.jpg

It should be pretty obvious which group was focused on gens and which wasnt. Its not about rank, its not about swf, its about gen speeds.

With that said I'll restate that increasing the base time of generators isnt a solution. The game needs non optional secondary objectives.

I have only seen the original Hachet. I'll check out the rest.

1.That is just something never addressed, another one of those famous F13 plot holes. I would put it down to bad writing. I am a longtime fan of the films, but they're in no way works of art.

    2. I believe the appearance of the boy at the end of part 1 was a dream. It was several years since his disapperance. Or it could of been some kind of supernatural vision. Who knows for sure. I always believed it was just a dream which gave the audience a final jump scare. At the start of part 2, not particularly long after the events of 1, he's a full grown adult when he catches up with and kills Alice.

    3. I think the amount of damage Jason takes is unrealistic for a normal human, but he can be killed, eventually as seen in part 4.

Overall, I don't believe the F13 films are very well written, and each new addition would usually have some telling inconsistency or plot hole. I think if we theorized everything about these films and characters, we could be here forever. πŸ˜„

Oh its for sure badly written. They were hauling ass in makjng them to continue cashing in. And didnt care much about plot holes. Like how hes got ling hair and beardy in part 2 but then bald and no hair in part 3 πŸ˜‚

All of it is just fun debste on how best to fill in those plot holes 😊

Yeah part 2 imo is better than part 1, part 3 takes a hit but is still fun, speaking about Hatchet of course. Im biased because i freaking love danielle harris

  • @Dr_Loomis said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1310504#Comment_1310504

One thing I will say: I always found the notion that Jason survived drowning, made a shack in the woods and lived off the land and NOBODY ever found him, for YEARS, even though police would be searching the lake and the surrounding area for the boy.

But that's the actual storyline πŸ˜‚ according to the film-makers, we have to believe that and we have to believe Jason is the most resistant man that ever lived.

There has been other human killers who have withstood ridiculous anounts of punishment:

Maniac Cop: impaled on pole through stomach and crashes van in to water. He manages to climb out and is back and about in no time. (he later become undead through voodoo resurrection)

Victor Crowley (Hatchet): Gets shot, hit with a shovel, stabbed with a pitchfork, set on fire and then impaled on a pole...shortly afterwards he's back on the hunt.

It's the old "He's not dead yet" retro horror approach of presenting the unrelenting villain.

Victor Crowley is also undead, did you watch all 3 of them?

They never say any of that in the movies. The only thing we know for sure is 1) he drowned znd his body was never found. Which raises the question how do they even know he drowned unless someone saw him drowning.

    2) hes seen at the end of part 1 as a little boy (though this could have easily been a dream)

    3) hes walking around as a full adult murdering people and taking an impossible amount of damage.

What happens in between those things is left fully to interpretation and up for debate. And Im ignoring Jason Goes to Hell for sake of argument, because that one ends discussion

  • @Boss said:

I was kinda surprised at the new Killer shack.

Not only is it bricks there, but no see-through?

    That might be big.

It might be different for different maps. It looks like most of the shots came from badhem, and a bricked shack makes sense on that map. Red Forest a legit shack makes more sense. Thematically speaking. Like how Dead Doggs is different than the rest

  • @Dr_Loomis Just as an aside I spoke to Sean Cunningham once and tried to get him to admit Jason was undead and he refused to do so, so that lends some credence to your argument, BUT Sean has always refused to comment one way or the other so πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1310418#Comment_1310418

I think they upped his resiliency to make the film more exciting. Although yes, normally outside 'movie land' a normal person would of died from those injuries or certainly have been incapacitated.

But you have to look at other films:

Take Friday 13th part V - A New Beginning: The killer, a human, Roy Burns is struck by a speeding tractor. Moments later he's chasing his prey again.

What about the original Halloween? Michael Myers gets stabbed in the neck with a knitting needle, then in the eye with a metal coat hanger, then in the chest with a kitchen knife, then gets shot six times before falling off a balcony on to the ground below...and moments later he's up and about.

This was done with no indication he was anything else than a normal human. The whole Cult of Thorn nonsense wasn't even a thought at this point.

It's been done in so many films, not only horror. It's all about making a relentless antagonist, regardless of ignoring their mortality.

Roy is at least a little believable, unlikely but not impossible.

Michael is the boogeyman and the embodiment of pure evil. Hes not a regular man and also cannot be killed. Undead isnt the right word for him, but pure evil is. And evil never dies 😊 Loomis tells you this several times throughout the movie.

Jason was always dead, he died in that lake back when he was a kid. He slept for awhile and then woke up, the lightning in part 6 woke him up again.

Not every one is me, I get it. I can easily tell a good survivor from a bad, killer as well obviously. I tend to let new survivors go more then not and I dont abuse loops with new killers. I simply lose them and let them get on to the next. Either way, I'm enjoying the diversity of games I'm having now.

I can tell the difference too but a bad red rank should get wrecked and a yellow should be helped along. Thats just my outlook tho

Always undead? He survived drowning and was just a regular fella (except for living in the woods and chopping people up). He then got killed by a young Tommy Jarvis in part IV and got brought back via a lightening bolt in part VI. From then on he's undead.

As for the sleeeeeepy Jaaaaason sequence...he looked very comfortable getting a bit of shut eye.

What kind of person survives being hung and catching an axe to tge face. Watch parts 2 through 4 again back to back and keep in mind those three movies occur over a span of just a few days. Theres no way that dude wasnt already a walking corpse

I get that, but as soon as you do they know what youre doing and are out. Ive seen it work, ive done it myself, but its not consistent. Its funny when it works ngl.

I have to say I really do enjoy the variety of competition in games now. I'm rank 1 survivor and killer and it's honestly nice to be able to enjoy and have fun against lower ranks on occasion. To not have to tunnel / camp every game. In comparison to every game has to be a sweat fest it's great!

I agree at r1 it is nice when playing either side. Theres two issues though.

Number 1 you dont always know as kilker if theyre yellows or just really bad reds. If the rank system was better that would be fine, or if I knew the ranks going in I could take it easy, but since neither is true occasionally I slaughter a group of noobs and feel bad about it. Thats not good for them or their experience.

The other side of that is dropping me in with a noob killer, while Im having fun im sure hes not

  • Its not that blood warden is a bad perk its that its easily countered by 99ing the gate, which is a broken mechanic imo. It should regress slowly back to 50.
