(This was originally a reply to someone else but I believe it deserves its own post)
TO ALL PEOPLE THAT THINK SPIRIT IS OK IN HER CURRENT STATE
Imagine that the roles are reversed, when a survivor activates their power every 15 seconds they can go invisible, leave no way of tracking but know exactly where you (the killer) is because of sound, grass, corn etc. Now imagine if this happened at every loop, for every survivor. You wouldn’t want to play. Now imagine this happened more often in red ranks, every few games, or multiple consecutive games in a row. You wouldn’t like GUESSING where the survs go every chase, would you? Now that you have read this, please tell me how, as killer, you would counter the survivors?
Now switch the roles back.
Because I will be attacked and questioned because I have an opionion, I would like to state now that I am a killer main, because the ‘salty survivor main’ rep that survivor mains have right now was mostly a thing in the past when Nurse mains would do anything to keep their op addons and 5 blinks.
Being a ‘survivor main’ is now used to stereotype you to shrug off your VALID opinions because being a survivor main immediately makes you a whiny, crying baby in the eyes of quite a lot of killer mains. The irony is that survivors have had more taken away from them over the years (understandably so), because of killers crying about imbalance and unfairness. Now that Nurse is more fair, killers are latching on to their next big offendor (Spirit) and are doing anything to keep her the way she is, when all survivors are asking for is for a way to counter her, not nerf her into the ground.
If you are reading this and feel triggered, then you are indeed a Spirit main.
My best advice for all those people who are saying XY is OP, just play them and see it for yourself.
If you are too lazy to learn a counter, just play her and copy what others do, to give you a hard time.
The spirit has clear weaknesses and during her phasing she is blind without some perks or add-ons.
Spine Chill and Iron Will are good perks, especially against a spirit.
I acknowledge her strength, but to me it sounds more, that you are unwilling to adapt and change.
She is still just one killer vs 4 survivors. Learn to play to your strength in numbers. Focus on gens and keep her occupied.
She has no exposed in her base kit.
She is a m1 killer with mindgames.
Be smarter than her and use distraction against her.
-
I only can speculate, because I prefer Hag. But when I run survivor, I see basically no nurse beside the one of baby nurses.
I think, before the rework, she was some kind of prestigious killer, the hard to master, unstoppable if mastered kind. With the "promise" broken to not touch her base kit, I can imagine a lot of nurse players are salty and feel betrayed by BHVR and the devs. A lot of them dedicated a lot of time to learn her, prestige her and get everything on her. They didn't care too much about the add-on changes, because good Nurses often didn't even use add-ons. Omega-Blink or 5 Blink for the memes or to be extra sweaty against SWFs on red ranks.
Now this all is gone and even the Nurse, they worked all those years to become good at is out of the window. The nerf to her cool down add-ons (you could play pre-rework Nurse with them) possibly was the straw that broken the camel's back for most of them. Now they have to relearn her and all the investment in her is just gone.
But maybe @Peanits could give some statistical insight on how many Nurses are played after her rework until now. If it's just confirmation bias or if their numbers really dropped.
-
Your options: gens, they are all to close to the hatch? Congratulations your team 3 gened themselves. Kudos to the spirit to protect the right gens.
Are you injured and no luck with the chests and no healthcare/medkit...that's sad, otherwise, heal yourself, use fast vault to lure the spirit and run to the hatch by mindgaming her and use the boost from the one hit to reach the hatch.
If she closes the hatch, open the gates.
There are options you could have proactively approach to break the stalemate.
-
I would say, if a survivor reached the struggle face on the hook, either by second hook other means, he should be Mori-able, because he would be dead either way on the next hook.
Yes, I am aware, that this would somewhat nerf bodyblocks, hooksabo and DS. But those instances where a survivor gets hooked twice and still have DS are rare and a coordinated team could work around such a thing.
-
I don't like dead bodies in dead by daylight, simply because it doesn't fit the narrative. The game should represent an endless struggle of the survivors between hope and fear. They are doomed to repeat the cycle over and over again. It doesn't matter, how often you die or escape. You will end up at the campfire again and get dragged back into one realm of the entity to face one of her killers.
Dead bodies would suggest, that there is a way out. That death can be a solution and escape from the entity.

It has already been stated that some of these challenges are just placeholders for the time being and that we're keeping an eye on the feedback about them, which is why some of them seem extreme.
Sorry, but they aren't just "placeholders" they were tested in the PBE and got feedback on it and I am pretty sure, that if they wouldn't get such a backlash right now, they would have been implemented exactly as they are stated.
A simply comming soon would be a nice placeholder without upsetting the playerbase or simply put the number to ??? or X.
To me it looks like a 2 steps forward one step back maneuver to sell something atrocious while keeping face and selling it as: "look, we listen to you!"
But I don't blame the devs. I still believe they have the best intentions for their game and they get some pressure from some higher ups.
-
I love the hag!
She is ma sexy skeletal lady!
Healthy diet of liver and survivor salt.
I like her most warrior style. Skeleton painting, short hair, Monitor and Abuse or whatever fancies me and go for a nice survivor hunt.
One fun build I do on special occasions is Hag roulette. All hex perks: Haunted Grounds, Thrill of the Hunt, Devour Hope and Ruin. With Mint Rag and Shackles.
It's like Lisa backed a large birthday cake with all the candles lit. Just have fun grabbing all the naughty survivors.
-
To me he offers no niche to play.
He excells in nothing really.
Map pressure is okay
Chases are okay
Stealth is situational
Gen pressure is okay
But he isn't better than another killer.
He needs setup time for his portals, but unlike hag or trapper he doesn't really profit that much from them.
His Shred is a nice lunge, even can destroy pallets now, but so can Billy and he even has an instadown.
So if you have to chose between, Nurse, Spirit, Hillbilly, Hag, Huntress, Freddy and so on. Why would you want to play the Demogorgan?
Some basement build can be effective and 3 gen strata can work well on him, but the same can be accomplished by other killers but better.

You mock the developers, but you don't seem to realise that they spend their time working on the game, not playing it.
After a long day at work, the last thing they'd likely want to do is casually play the game they dedicate their career to working with.
They don't have time to spend thousands of hours playing the game and getting good at it.
Sorry, I just don't feel the love from the devs as they used too...
Yes the game was bugged and terrible imbalanced way back and a lot got fixed over time. But I miss the old community and communication we had with the devs. How they used to stream and interact, how passionate they talked about the game, killers and survivors.
Today's I hear no one really praise the blight event or the battlepass/rift. Yes, there were issues with past events, but they still we're fun to play.
Now it feels like a lifeless chore, something to be done, just to be done.
With every new addition to the game, they make the game less accessable to newer players, especially by paywalling anti-grind perks. Yes, right now they put BBQ in the Shrine. But everyone who misses the window or just started, don't has the shards to buy it, are out of luck.
I would rather love to see changes to the grind (less grind to be clear) and tie the lore to the characters. Like adept challenges can unlock hidden secrets or snippets of lore about a character. We already have something like the rift, it is called steam achievements! And we don't had to pay for them.
Just imagine, that after a regular and fun game you succeed in something and get some lore and insight, that makes you hunger for more, start to research and challenge yourself with amazing plays, winning and or helping your team or just do something goofy as a killer and regardless of the toxicity of the survivors, you will get a reward and get encourage to experiment with different fun playstyles, add-ons, perks to get more of the lore. Play as you like, not as you begin told or forced too.
Like, letting bleed out too many survivors on accident and the entity will get disappointed in you and takes away some of her entity based perks, like Bamboozle, Blood Warden, Whispers etc. Until you sacrifice a certain amount of survivors. It would be fun to figure such a thing out and to regain the favor of the entity.
A little lore pop up would be enough, but if you really pour love into it, you can animate a small clip, how the entity take some of your powers and later you are getting them back with a charm, that symbolizes her favor for you.
Such things would be cool. There would be a reason and a narrative behind it.
I could brainstorm all day about such scenarios but I ask myself, why can't the devs?
-
To be honest...I would love to get the thought process behind these decisions...but none of the devs will ever give us those, because I assume that's a marketing decision to lure in players first with doable challenges then ramp the difficulty up to the level of: in theory doable but not really, so people get frustrated to the point, that they start to throw more money at it, to complete the challenges.
I rather pay $11 for a lore dlc, well made, maybe with some nice animations and goodies like skins and charms that would reflect the lore and gives a pleasant experience, than the toxicity promoting, low level effort rift that we are getting for the same price or probably even more if you need to throw money at it in the end to access all the content.
-
I would love to see our devs streaming live, their attempt to finish the rift, solo.
Especially MCote, since watching him playing in Korea was such a delight.
I would even sub for 10.- just to see this.
Edit: we are talking of all the challenges on both sides, without outside help or communication within the rift timeframe.
-
Just play Freddy or Plague with Thanatophobia, Dying Light, PGTW and either a tracking perk like Whispers or Discordance/Surveillance or your Perk of choice. The game will grind to a halt. Put on pressure.
Extremely unfun to play against tho. Slow downs...so funny and interactive.

@Dreamnomad said:
Sure, if you buy everything full price then you'll be out around 110 dollars. But they have sales frequently. Hell, the game is on sale RIGHT NOW! Also, many of the killers and survivors can be unlocked for free with iridescent shards. So if you purchased the game and characters that can only be purchased with money on sale then you would spend:
Game: 9.99
Ash: 2.99
Halloween Chapter: 4.19
Stranger Things: 11.99
Leatherface: 2.99
Saw Chapter: 4.19
Ghostface: 2.99
Nightmare on Elm Street: 4.19
Grand Total: $43.52
So let's not make it sound like the game is ridiculously overpriced and inaccessible. It isn't. The battlepass stuff is completely optional and pretty reasonable too. You can even play for the season and see how far you would get. If you play enough to earn back the 1000 auric cells it costs, you can buy it and immediately get your 1000 auric cells back. Now if you search my posts you'll see that I'm often critical of BVHR. But I'm also fair with my criticism. In this case you are the one being unreasonable.
Don't open Pandora's box!
If you go after sale prices you have to compare DBD to other games for $43.52 and I bet with you, for that price you will find other games with more depth and value in the steam store.
And don't pull a Mcote on me and tell me to play CiV.
We are all here and are invested enough to write about a game we like, but don't tell me, that the monetization is not getting out of hand.
There is a nice clip from extracredit about player's trust and how the wrong focus overtime can kill a game even if the sales figures seems to look fine.
Keep in mind, there will always be idiots paying every price they can afford.
But most of the fans will at some point just give up and move on.

We do not want DLC to make you stronger. That's never has been the goal. You should be buying DLC killers because they're fun, not because you want to win.
Then make BBQ&Chilli a free perk for all killers so there is no pay to ease the grind. Same goes for Ruin, PGTW, Nurses Calling. In your own statistics it is shown that that are the most used perks and some almost essential at higher level at play, or give us an alternative to earn the perks, beside the roulette that is the shrine of secrets.
-
I never dodge a lobby. I don't see the reason why. If you dodge, what's the point of playing the game in the first place? Go play something else, better suited for your needs.
If I assume it's a tough match, because if their skins, loadout and I see they are all friends, I have the option to bring a Mori, take my best killer and put on my own sweaty pants and best loadouts.
Sometimes I overestimated them and I can relax and toy with them or it will be a fun tough match for all of us.
As survivor it really doesn't matter. If you have a cool team just go in and have fun and if not, make the best of it and grab as many points you can.

Ever played against a 3 gen hostage doc on the game map?

Not exactly sure what you mean. The stuff we're looking to test in the PTB is always free. Freddy was free in the PTB when he was reworked, all of the Stranger Things characters were free as well, and everyone was given 2,000 Auric Cells on the PTB to test out the Rift.
If you mean why isn't everything free, it's because the PTB is for testing purposes. Say we're testing the Freddy rework. We wouldn't want people to go in and give The Clown or The Plague a try just because they're free. That would be counterproductive when we need feedback for Freddy. We need to keep the tests as focused as possible.
Because if everything is free, we can test everything. And with more data we could catch more bugs, that had nothing to do with the specific killer, but still was influenced by all the changes the new killer/content has brought.
Why else would killers, that hasn't been touched, suddenly have different interactions, sound or bugs?
It would also help to test Perks on all the killers and test their interactions to iron out all possible strange interactions or bugs beforehand.
On PTB you still have to level up the character and only can bring 1m BP, but to get everything you would need around 7.5m.
Another big plus for a PBE like PTB would be the testing of different game modes, something that could innovate the game. Let us try stupid things like 8v2 with 10 gens or other bs.

Urban evasion, DS, probe thyself & sprint boost
Indeed you are easy to chase. With Urban Evasion and SB you telling me, you don't want to be found and don't want to be chased, but after the SB is on cool down you have nothing that would help you to avoid a hit or exploit loops, like DH or BL. Thanks to Prove Thyself you are also easily found with Discordance or gen patrolling, what voids UE to a degree.
That also means, that when you finish a gen, you either use your SB to get away and losing your Exhaustion Perk or try to UE your way away. With no Spine Chill or Alert you need a really good map awareness and notion of where the killer is, to not bump into him.
The new Fixated Perk might be helpful in your stealth oriented build instead of Prove Thyself.
It would let you move faster and helps you to mindgame the killer with the scratch marks and UE.
Just keep in mind, most good killers have good ears and can hear you, especially when you are injured by a surprise hit.
Wish you good luck and have fun in the fog.
-
What are you running?
-
Next to Unbreakable there is also another Perk...No Mither!
You are asking for a solution that already exist, but you prioritize other things over Unbreakable and by doing this, you yourself are saying, slugging doesn't happen that often, that it would justify Unbreakable in your selection of Perks.
So what is it now?
Is it you, who don't want to use Unbreakable or is slugging really that big of a deal (2 min bleed out timer)?
-
Just have fun with Franklin's =)
-
The one and only game mechanic that is reversed for some reason is the time management within the game.
For some strange reason the survivors are the once dictating the progress of the game and the killer has to disturb and slow them.
In theory the survivors could spend ages on gens, if they want to, there is no overarching threat that forces them to do gens.
That's why killers that are able to quickly end chases and put pressure on the survivors, force them to use up their resources or entirely denying them, the best killers in the game and often unfun to vs them.
So the survivors don't have any other option then to rush gens themselves. That's their weapon to pressure the killer and force the killer into mistakes to be exploited.
So why do we blame the survivors? They just play optimally and react to the pressure of the killer with their own.
If we want a paced game, we need a clock/timer, if the survivors survive for X min they win, if they all get killed/sacrificed/died before, the killer wins.
Is that the alternative we really want?
-
@KillermainBTWm8 said:
"As a Killer, your goal is to sacrifice as many Survivors as possible". "As a Survivor, your goal is to escape and avoid being caught and killed."
First of all I respect all your opinions on this topic but I'm going to share my reasoning on why people shouldn't worry about pipping as a "win" condition. The two quotes I just stated above are my first reasoning as to why pipping is not a win condition. Nowhere does it say that you have to gain "pips" to win. It says that your goal is to sacrifice or escape. Nothing more. All pips really are stated to do in game are to make sure you are ranked within a certain skill group of players. To separate the noobs from the red ranks mainly. My second argument is that if your a survivor/killer and everyone is equally skilled then you can still win and get a black pip. That doesn't mean you lost or tied. You still won because you completed both your objectives. People who think pipping counts as winning can you please leave your thoughts on why you think so? Feedback is always appreciated.
The problem where all falls apart is, when you are a highly efficient player, killer or survivor, you end the game to fast and risk a black pip or even a depip.
Now the entire balance of ranked is out the window and you face players on a too low skill level and not some of your own, who would know how to counter your high efficiency gameplay with their own.
So you get stuck in a rank where it is too easy for you and frustrating for your opponent.
Not health.
-
Well it totally depends who you ask.
In core it's to kill or survive.
Other's like to pip, so they can rank up.
Overall BP are important.
The sportsman would say, as long as you have fun.
Ultimately you have to decide for yourself.
-
It totally depends on your actions, when you dance right in my face and banking on your 1 min invulnability I smack you down, especially if you bs me with jumping in a locker. Most often such a behavior is rewarded with overaltruistic SWFs and an easy 4k. Otherwise I wouldn't care.
Only when, I let you go, let you heal, case you down and you still have DS is BS.
-
I think the devs can do very little about the Battle Pass, it's more a set decision from the management.
-
Paying for convenience is the most sinister way to monetize something, because you deliberately create a system with the intention to frustrate the casual user to a point they just go ######### it, take my money and let me skip this hassle.
Instead of creating a good, enjoyable and engaging system.
Just ask yourself, is the battle pass something that helps the players to enjoy the game or just to create artificial exclusivity and cash grab? Will it allow future fans of the game to enjoy the system as well or they are just out of luck, because they didn't knew about DBD before?
-
I never understood why those "I main X and never play Y" was a thing.
To truly main a side you need to play also the other to get an understanding for them.
As a survivor you need to know how a killer work to counter them.
As a killer you know how a survivor reacts and what pathing and objectives they have.
I ultimately enjoy killer more, because I fight a clock and have to outsmart my opponent.
As survivor it is mostly m1 simulator and you honestly don't want much interaction with the killer.

I dont know if its because im ancient and I know where the term free to play comes from , or its just people cant seem to understand the actual words they are speaking ...
There are two types of online games , subscription based , and free to play . These are not terms referring to the cost of the program . You dont go buy the newest expansion of WoW and say im subscribing it , no your buying it . So why is it so hard for people to understand that if you are not paying a monthly fee to play a online game with a real support system that that is free to play . I mean look at the words themselves for crist sake , Free = no cost , to , play , not free to buy or purchase .
Try to understand things from a developers side , all the things you want cost money for them to do , balances , nerfs , rebalancing this or that , dedicated servers , new content . those things takes 100's and 1000's of labor hours a day , A DAY . Those hours cost money , thus games are in one of two classes , subscription or free to play .
Now think about this , would you rather have free content with dcl's or expansions still costing you to buy like every other game on the market , and pay a $15 subscription price per month , or would you rather deal with being able to sit back get some things for free but not all and deal with micro transactions . There is also the third option and that seems to be what a lot of people on this forum have been acting like and that is they want everything free and the company to go bankrupt in the next few months .
This will be my last post on this matter as I feel like im trying to lead 100's of dodo's away from extinction and we Hopefully all know how that turned out ...
What are you talking about? DBD is not free to play, it is pay to play like Guild Wars.
You buy the games and expansion and can play the content you payed for. They even have additional income path with in-game shop and now the try to cash in additional with a battle pass.
Unlike a free to play game like Fortnite, where you can pay up for more cosmetics and earn the battle pass with gameplay and not only with money. So if we could buy the premium pass with shards that would be great.
-
I was about to suggest to make his Feral Frenzy (FF) more powerful, but the longer I think of it, the more problems surface.
To me the Legion is an interesting concept, but as it is, never should have been interduced to the game.
If his FF can down people, he would be really frustrating to play against, because he removes all the tools from the toolbox of a survivor.
You cannot vault or use pallets, you cannot run, unless you run in a straight line away from him and then try to lose him. His Killer Instinct nullifies all stealth play. And Mending in itself isn't a fun mechanics, yet another bar to watch until full.
The only counter to his FF is a timed pallet stun to knock him out of it, but with Enduring and Spirit Fury this counterplay gets countered too...
He needs a full rework in for of Freddy.
Maybe his power can come from destroying pallets, hitting gens and survivors and after a certain amount of tokens they get into Frenzy and everyone is exposed for a certain amount of time.
This would represent teens rioting and demolishing property until they snap and start killing. Like in the story with that failed store heist.
In that way hitting multiple survivors helps you gathering tokens for the Red Out and can down them instantly.
But still, you would lack the counterplay options for survivors.
-
So we are getting Stridor, Nurse's Calling and Infectious Fright as light versions on her add-ons?
Losing out on blinks and range as well increase power cool down by 3.5 seconds?
-
Hag and Myers. Just imagine a stalking Hag and suddenly the entire team is exposed, I dare you now to trigger a trap!
Or Hag and Bubba, if you end up in the basement, better DC or #########. You are not gonna leave. She can flail her arms around like the chainsaw.
Trapper and Hag, step in the trap and killer can teleport to you.
-
I love the hag and her synergy with MYC.
So naturally I put down a trap, when I hook someone, if not pre-trap the hook in my preparations.
So is it my fault that you don't crouch for the unhook or don't use your flashlight besides clicking at me? I don't think so.
And about the unhooked...if you run around like a headless chicken and trigger a trap, you go down with a teleport hit, even before I realize that's you again.
Sometimes I take pity on those headless chickens and let them go, but more often they just run around the map to again run back into me...in that case I will smack you.
-
Once I played a game of late game Nurse with Insidious, NOED, Blood Warden and BBQ.
Just find a dull totem in a corner of the map and guard it, while they pump out gens and then cause mayhem.

I hate that most obsession perks are "Leave the obsession alone" perks. That's the opposite of an obsession gosh dangit. Why. Why?!
I think this is an homage to the horror trope of the final girl.
In horror movies the killer often is obsessed with one girl and she usually lives to the end.
A fun movie that illustrates this nicely is "Behind the Mask the rise of Leslie Vernon".
-
It really depends on the killer, Nurse you will get better if you don't use add-ons and no extra blinks, because it would teach you to mess up. Trapper on the other hand almost need the bags for extra traps.
I would advise to play the killer at first raw, without any add-ons, then, after a few games test some add-ons and see for yourself what accomplishes your playstyle.
Just be careful with add-ons that totally alters the killer, like jump scare Myers with Scratched Mirror or Body Blocker Hag etc. Those can be fun, but I wouldn't recommend it for someone who wants to learn a killer.
-
I see a lot of DS, Adrenaline and Dead Hard, but not a single BT.
The game offer plenty of tools to deal with camping and tunneling.
If you refuse to use them, it's only you to blame.
It is also your fault to reward the killer with a 3k for camping.
If he really just camps, enjoy your free escape and sacrifice one teammate. If you really would care you would have brought BT.
-
The Emblem System right now:
As Survivor: If you are too good, you depip.
As Killer: If you are too good, you depip.
Yes it could also be, that the otherside just is bad that match, but still you would depip without grinding for some points or toying with your opponent...what is a tad toxic imo.
The Emblem System also don't account for alternative playstyles and meme-builds that work by tackling other aspects of the game.
My best advice, enjoy your free derank and have fun with easier games and faster queue times.

Go work your way up to rank 1 with wraith only then, if it's that easy. Sure, solo survivors with one or two potatoes can be wrecked by every killer, but against teams, nurse and spirit, nurse and spirit.

-
I love MYC, first you get rewarded for hitting the unhooker and you get a 60s timer to determine when DS will run out if you slugged the unhooked. Nice bonus.
-
Shred is amazing for chases and breaking pallets and also to gain distance. You can "fly" like a Hillbilly by using the same ramps, just shorter obviously. Ever get charged over obstacle by a Demogorgan? Scary I tell you.
Portal need some setup, but once your are used to it they are amazing to put on map pressure. With the killer instinct feature you also can check gens, totems ect. if you place your portals smart.
Good survivors can juke his lunge and Shred, but also can get caught off guard by how far it can jump.
-
As I bought the game way back and queued up for the first time as killer I thought my game freezed. I waited 25 min.
After some research I found out, that's normal for this game and now I am happy that it's only 3-15 min.
Still would love to see a timer or clock, telling me the estimated time.

I'm considering on getting hag next... Should I do it? I mean, I don't plan on getting Demise, Saw, and Ash's dlc's.
There is no reason not to, Ruin is a good perk, Third Seal & Devour Hope are fun and Hag is amazing to play, if you love to prepare ahead and outsmart your opponent.
I would recommend to grab yourself MYC when it is in the shrine and just have fun.

I could see a use of Second Wind in a coordinated SWF, there is also a nice combo with Adrenaline and DS.
But in reality Inner Strength, Self Care, Medkits are just amazing alternatives.
Nurses Calling is a common Perk on high ranking Killers and the option to split up and acting independently, and as far as I am aware Sloppy has no effect on Inner Strength, but I can be wrong on this, don't quote me!
But still, instead of healing and exposing yourself to NC you are save within a locker and protected from every Aura Perk. Amazing combinable with Q&Q and Head-on. So even if the killer would come, you can get a head start in the worse case.
Medkits are an amazing alternative, because they can be faster or instant and free up a perk slot.
So Second Wind would only be an option to a hardcore gen rush squad, but they would still prefer Adrenaline and pump those gens out ASAP.
If you really want to use Second Wind reliable I would pair it with We will make it, and still you need to be hooked and rescued...2 things I personally rather avoid if possible and as solo you cannot 100% rely on your teammates...yes you also could take Deliverance to ensure the unhook...but now you have dedicated 3 perk slots for a single perk to work once, not counting in facing one shot killers (they don't care)

Can you help me then? I only have plague perks and wraith perks as well as bbq and agitation. what perk build should I go for?
BBQ, Agitation, Corrupt Intervention and Ruin if you know how to use it, otherwise Bloodhound if you have trouble to follow survivors in a chase.
The idea behind this build:
With Corrupt Intervention you block the farthest gens and gives you some time to setup your parameter.
Agitation helps you to bring downed survivors back to your turf.
BBQ is nice for the BP and handy to see what the other survivors are doing. So you can plan your next steps.
Ruin can help you on lower levels to slow down the game, fantastic if the totem is in your turf, but don't go out of your way to protect it.
Alternative Bloodhound can help you find slippery survivors.
Use the time you get from CI to get cosy, bring downed survivors back to your web with Agitation and either be happy about Ruin as long as it last and can use failed skillchecks to find early survivors.
Don't get too attached to gens, just protect your last 3 in your turf as good as possible. Your setup time and traps really can help you with it. Just he consistent with your trap placement.
Good luck and have fun

Honestly, just an appreciation thread for Hag. 2nd best killer in the game (😜), Best mori in the game, best booty in the game, best cosmetics in game... I could go on and on......
SCREW IT I WILL!
The mentality part of hags game has an absolute ASTRONOMICAL skill cap (a little bit of an exaggeration, but you get the point). Just take a look: !
- Traps from loop to window, into another loop. Love when you exactly KNOW where a survivor is going to take a certain path. Other combos can also include unhooked savings into vaults/pallets, 2 traps loop into jungle gym (not an often occurrence, but very now and then you’ll get a loop that connects into the dreaded jungle gym -fast vault- WINDOW. It’s nice to get one closer to the window, one opposite side and directly inside.
- Shack is NEVER a problem.
- Flashlights don’t HAVE to be a problem. As long as your traps are connected and aren’t placed wrong, you will not have a problem! Flashlights are typically used at pallets and hooked survivors. (Again, typically! Some Experience survivors will take down different traps, but you can always adjust as long as you have your area controlled. Speaking of which..)
- Area of control is absolutely astounding! Definitely one of the most important ones to remember! Goal is to protect at LEAST 4 gens IF possible. But 5 is preferable, if not 6. There is usually a gen you want to let go (I.e gen in barn).
- She isn’t add on dependable!
- Certain perks are INCREDIBLE on her! Especially Save The Best For Last! STBFL is definitely recommended! I also love Monitor & Abuse on her, Sloppy/Thana or Dying light combo, Dark devotion, Pop of course and really any Hex perks!
- She can be hard to see at times! (Why M&A works well)
- Shes gorgeous!
- A lot of survivors aren’t imitated by her (allowing hag to wreck havoc).
- Speed isn’t a hinderance FFS!!! Look at Spirit and Nurse 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
- SWF isn’t any different going up against as a pose to another killer. If they are running through your traps purposely? GOOD! They are wasting time. And as you know, you have your area locked down and your perk synergy is ending careers!
Probably missing a few things, but that’s how many positives there are with Hag. I don’t see a negative at all when I play her.
You know what? Hag is better than Nurse 😜
What can I say? Welcome Brother!
Ever tried Franklin's just for fun?
Nice way do lure greedy survivors.
You forgot to mention her amazing synergy with MYC.
If you ever really want to play as a demon use MYC and Mint Rag and Shackles. There is no such thing as a save unhook. But I wouldn't recommend it as a standard build, because it's too easy and mean (and you mostly depip due to efficiency and dcing survivors).
I really love how versatile she is and you can almost run everything on her.
And she also have great and fun add-ons.
Hag is love!
CYA in the fog.

I almost never use Ruin.
I dislike the concept of the Perk, it gives me nothing to play with.
I rather hunt and pressure the survivors myself, force them into unfavorable situations and let them Make Their Choice.

Is ridiculous, is imposible to juke, it can hit you from a massive distance, it lasts long enough to actually be able to hit everybody.
If it was good for 1 hit it would be fair. Ridiculously bad design.
How often did you played as plague?

We get rank resets ever so often, so you will be able to play with your friends on a closer rank.
If you are that kind of a monster survivor that will reach rank 1 in no time, just embrace the challenge and help your friends to get better themselves, you apparently are an absolute beast as survivor and should be able to help your friends. You can coach them over voice and support them. If they face higher killers, see it as a challenge, in the worst case they still have you to help them out, help them understand the killer, their powers and counterplay better and they will naturally grow with your encouragement.
This new system is way better than the old one, because before a sole rookie killer was getting bullied by way to high rank survivors with no one at their side to help them or figure out what to do in that situation.
Kudos to the devs for that decision.
