You can have "one of those days". Especially if you try to do great skill checks all the time. Merciless storm is not that frequent nowadays so people still get surprised by it. In any case skill checks should be fine for most of the time.
-
In these cases I always wonder what decision they would make to sunset the first episode.
There are always those who do not like sequels. Especially with the introduction of side objectives the sequel could turn out to be an entirely different game.
So with all the enhancements you say what would happen to DbD 1?
I did not follow what happened to Overwatch 1 so some of you guys already know what companies do in such cases in the genre.
-
I couldn't care less what the game was 7 years ago. I began playing 2 years ago. My timeline with DbD starts then.
-
It's É-Lo-Dee as it is French.
-
"Taking the haste away cause low skill killers can't get easy hits or want to learn to beak loops".
As if MFT was the only perk giving haste. MFT alone does not make anyone stronger. It is usually used with Balanced Landing or Sprint Burst.
"Only that it might give you the chance to valt successfully, killers still had a major speed advantage."
Again, see above. Yes, you can vault then Lithe gives you 50% more speed. How is that fair?
Oh, and Mister, I never whine. But I appreciate the devs push survivors to a different mix of perks as everybody has to use MFT and the above-mentioned perks these days.
-
Moving little while crouched does not change anything, either. If you hide behind the same object where you can't leave as the killer is near the crows will appear, regardless.
-
No, it was an overused and very annoying perk.

Genuine question: what do you do if you don't flappy arm? Do you just....wait? 😂
I pretend that I try to get off. But before the meter fills I stop. 😜

@Tsulan said:
Flapping the arms was originally used to show the others, that the killer is camping. Then people started to flap their arms out of boredom. Beating the purpose.
While we are at it, could we also stop attempting to self unhook when the teammate is about to arrive? I didn´t come from the other end of the map, so you could kobe in front of me.
I still use it for the same purpose. If I see the killer or they are proxy camping by moving the arms I am trying to shoo away my fellow team mates.
-
Which is why it is not really mean as completing the page is possible easily.

Thanks a bunch! 🤩

I wonder. If I was playing Killer and decided it was memes before dreams, stopped playing and just messed around, would Survivors stop to facilitate my weirdness or would they use the opportunity to crank out another generator or two and then teabag me at the exit gate? You're getting antsy at Killers for not doing something that you know full well 99% of Survivors wouldn't do either.
You know how many do not get it?
I wonder if it is because they 1) do not get it 2) don't care just want to do the gens or 3) killers pretended to be acting like that and then punished the team.
-
Cool idea! But then we have to "buff" Jeff a little otherwise he'll be forgotten forever in the Fog.
-
I'm not. 😁
One of them gave up when I smacked a pallet in his face. 😎
-
What's this feature?
-
I noticed more killers give up during the event because of genrush.
The last two were both Singularity.

No way yo detect lurkers anymore with the new background player. Survivors can literally (no joke!) cross half of an ENTIRE MAP in 5 seconds now (map dependant, of course).
While it is annoying as a Killer it is also very annoying from the Survivors' perspective.
Some keep following the Killer until the chase is done. Only to do the save while that time could have been spent with gens.
But this is probably due to the many blind challenges out there.
-
It is an annoying little map but a lot of gens are out in the open and putting a couple of pallets between fences or tables doesn't help the survivors that much. I prefer this one to the old one.

Proof? Sorry but this is kind of a big deal if it's true. I feel like it's much more likely that servers are just crashing at the worst times.
I think servers are having a lot of issues right now. Me personally i've getting kicked from matches and getting dc penalties for it as well as bad ping in matches. BHVR seriously needs to sort them out.
DDOS attacks? Or perhaps those are against streamers only.
I find it hard to believe. It's "just" server issues.

do you think the last killer ever that bhvr will make in dbd (when it comes to that point) will be the entity itself?
Hm when saying last it is as if they knew when they were going to become bankrupt.
A shadow-like creature as the servant of the entity with tentacles, however, would be interesting as a killer.
A risky attempt as it would bring us a bit "closer" and perhaps it is best to keep the majority of things about it hidden.
-
I was lucky and got it the 2nd try. Not wasted anything just let others open the Void.

For such powerfull effect to destroy Killer's pressure and hook stage/kill its bizare how easy and offten it can be done.
Not only you have extra nice window of you not needing to be precise at all, just aim not too late at the Killer and Its GG EZI, but also the fact that Background Player is like Sonic speed for 5 seconds makes countering them in the open pretty Impossible againts team of cordinated Survivors.
If you laugh at Killers for running lightborn, just remember Flashlights were made much easier to use then ever and Background Player exists that keeps getting buffed.
This is not true, at all. A lot of killers can quickly look sideways. I'm mostly blinded if there are 2-3 kids I cannot anticipate (all at once).
Also, rarity (with rare add-ons) can affect strengths. The "spooky" torches are quite decent during the event, hence the abundance of their use.

wait i didnt know about this
I meant they explode, naturally. I anticipate where survivors will be but my bottles land on obstacles.
-
"the trees are made of soap. even blight cant traverse he will spend time sliding all game"
I hate it when my bottles (Clown) remain up there midway...

So true. My god do they tunnel. Or try to. If I'm lucky enough to take aggro...
I've had so many rage quit when they can't catch me lately. It's getting sad indeed.
If they ever do fix the bug, welp...rip their playstyle. They'll have to try harder I suppose.
Make no mistake he downed me quickly. But before the 3rd hook the 4th and 5th gens were already in progress.
-
Not sure why he needs a rework as under normal circumstances he is fine.
These days even Blights tunnel which is a very sad thing.

They should add fog to the map so from a distance you can’t see survivors but survivors can’t see you. Makes the map scarier and atmospheric
Or they could just modify the fog add-on so that it can become useful.

I want the old Borgo back!
-
Since I despise the first two as a killer I'll never use them as a survivor. I agree with Calm Spirit, though.
-
Thanks a bunch!
-
I'm completely lost as a killer on the new Borgo...
-
Thank God for those objects!
-
Xeno.
If you think of it as the Queen commanding a vast number of Xeno soldiers at her disposal.
-
Do you have a link for purchase or - if they are available legit free - download?
-
Is there an edit option here? I picked "prove thyself" as recently I have seen / used it but "Bond" is definitely the most useful and so far has helped me with many coop challenges.
-
Status effect: If I understand correctly it would continue if the area is left. So I am no longer exposed but once I leave the boon area I have that 9 seconds left.
The Gateway option sounds cool but it would give a new mechanic to the game which should be thoroughly thought through beforehand (always wanted to use these 3 in a sentence lol).
-
Arlo because the other first names are more common.
-
OK I voted. Mainly because Xeno is out and it is very difficult to see it when on 4 legs. If a killer could "hide" in the form of puddles that would be crazy scary.
-
I love these polls but - if you don't mind my asking - what does "versing" mean in this context?
As a non-native English speaker I only think of music or literature when it comes to verses.

if you read my points you will see the one to fake running one direction then doubling back.
A blight that is in middle of "hug tech" either looking at ground or onto whatever wall they are trying to hug are easy to dodge. you just have to run earlier from where you think he will be coming. you can even fake and double back if they see you while doing the tech.
Also trying holding W when blight is doing the hug. youd be suprised how many times you will leave him stuck there trying to do his trick while you gained distance to another loop or safety. i do it all time against blights and works everytime.
Dont forget spinning...many survivors do it and its effective against blight
Can you spin without a controller, though?
-
Bots are not band-aid as they engage in chases and assist with gens and healing. I can waste my time with them and the rest of the team can still win. On killer side this has already been fixed (I don't feel bad winning against 3 and probably this is the reason why much fewer killers give the hatch). On survivors side the unhook attempts to remove yourself from the game could use a work around, but what?
-
Hm... good question. When it comes to coolest it's definitely Wes.
But creepiest? Never thought of that before.
My pick is Cenobite. And only layer 2. The change when it comes to layer 3 and chase is too great. I find layer 2 very unsettling.
-
I got two stacks for the Unbroken iri when killers DC-ed.
-
I don't like most of it. The secondary objective is interesting, though.
"More pallets and jungle gyms. Better defense options for survivors. More interesting chases."
Chases become more of a hassle and aggravating as a task if you give more pallets or - as you refer to it - defense options to survivors.
And Artist is my personal favourite after Clown. :)
-
Garden of Joy. I love its aesthetics.

Go ahead and say what you want about it being efficient but I wait 10 minutes to queue into a game just to be tunneled with lethal/UW and killed at 5 gens in the first 2 minutes of the game while being hit on hook for no reason. It's been 7/7 games now. Haven't even had a chance to touch a gen or get in a chase. Killer sits just outside the hook radius and waits for someone to come and then tunnels down.
Y'all really have fun playing like that? I'm not asking you to throw the game and let survivors win just why be so sweaty dude? It's not for money? Chill out
Sadly, that's the current for many of us. For me, at least, minus long waiting times.
Killer experience: 2 gens done after first chase / hook.
SoloQ experience: 0-1 gens done after first chase / hook.
-
I'm sorry, Mister, but I find Blight difficult to learn to play. Plus, I like the SoloQ experience due to its thrill when running from the killer.
Additionally, not sure if by flick you mean hug, but Blight's hugging can be very strong especially near cars / pickups in Autohaven. A lot of us do try and fail as many Blight players are expert at using this killer (i.e. might have more hours with him than my total hours with the game due to the current MMR algorithm).
I prefer reading tips / guides from less patronising ("this will blow your mind") individuals. Also, you can try adding your suggestions without referring to streamers with 10K hours. You don't have to rely on Otz - I'm sure many of are interested in reading the list.

you can drop the wes spray to use your toolbox, and then pick it up again afterwards.
I did notice that it can be done, thank you.
-
What a great idea! I'd love to see a ghost killer and please no licensed content. Make it original so that it can be as crazy as possible.
-
It's Monday and also national holiday here. Matches are pretty great and so far I have escaped 4 times with Ace (out of 5-6 matches). This included doing event interactions (not just me but the entire team including the killer). This is probably attributed to the fact that it is not late in the evening and the weekend is over so SWFs are currently in hibernation.
