You must have really bad luck or your not very good survivor because I can’t remember the last time I got camped or hardly ever get tunneled. Get slugged sometimes but that’s what Unbreakable is for.
Good for you. The tunneling is real on PS4.
But either way I'm not going to hate on the killer for doing this. I think it is a bad strategy because you are probably going to let 3 people get out why you tunnel 1 person out of the game. But that's the killer's choice.
At least you get to practice that looping. Which is really the best way to beat tunneling.

To be honest I’ve never found a key in a chest but guess I’d use it if the killer was tunneling ppl. Not saying it’s right or wrong using a key just me personally I don’t use them or as killer a mori.
No I am the same. I never bring in either one myself.
But if I find one and come across the hatch I'll take it. But I won't change my gameplay to do it. Just happens by accident.
I did find a pink key and a purple key in the same match once running plounderers. Showed my teammate the purple and kept the pink. Didn't need em tho. We got out the exit gates at the end. Just put it back in my inventory

When I play survivor I will not use a key to escape unless the killer has ebony Mori. Maybe that’s why he wouldn’t use it
Not even if you find one in a chest? I would never bring one in. But if I find it in a chest. And things are going badly, I will use it then.
-
Yeah it just needs to deactivate once a survivor does a genny. That's it. Its 80 seconds to do a genny. 60 seconds of that shouldn't be for free.
If your doing a genny you are not being tunneled.

The game is all about killer fun now. BHVR caves to peer pressure from the forums since its mostly killers complaining and demanding buffs.
Hey theres a new asymetrical resident evil game out though. You should give that a try.
Is this sarcasm, I can't tell. So many post state how it is always about survivors fun.
Either way they had to make changes to keep the game competitive against swf.
Swf is not going anywhere, it is the backbone of the player base. As such killers where at a disadvantage and needed a more level playing field in order to compete. And also to encourage them to continue to play killer and not just leave.
So in theory, this actually keeps killers in the game, which allows swfs to find matches, which makes them happy. Once again, the devs cater to survivors happiness !
-
We really got to stop making posts that just attack and degrade the other side.
I like the post that said "play both sides to have a truly valid opinion."
But this is silly. Both sides have complaints and perspectives. We should discuss these things and not just attack others of a different opinion.
Isn't that why we are on the forums?

Ahhhhhh, I get it. My question is why doesn't doc lose bloodlust after using his shock. He is the only killer that gets to keep blood lust when using his power?

These entitled survivor mains. You are NOT entitled to survive. Killers however ARE entitled to kill.
Just adapt and git gud. Bring Yuis perk so you can pick pallets back up. I don’t see a problem here.
Now watch out for my instasaw hillbilly with spirit fury ending and noed. Better rush those gens and totems boy.
Why would you insult people calling them entitled and then turn around and say killers are entitled to kills?
I dont get the point you are arguing.
I'm not talking about the changes, but why you feel I side is entitled and to the other it's and insult.

Freddy has everything. An anti-loop ability, map pressure, and the oblivious status effect which directly counters Borrowed Time and slows down gen progress when paired with jump ropes. Pair all this with perks like PGTW, Surveillance, and Thanatophobia...you’re in for a very long drawn out boring game.
He’s strong but I believe he has just a bit too much going for him at his base-kit. He shouldn’t be able to snare-lust at pallets so effectively as @BigTimeGamer has stated.
- He shouldn’t be able to snare-lust at pallets. Snares shouldn’t be able to just be spammed over and over again and rely on bloodlust and the survivor being hindered to get your downs. This is the reason people claim Freddy is a “braindead” killer.
- Either make it so survivors can wake up at any alarm clock or remove microsleep and have it so survivors are only pulled into the dream world if they get injured.
- Being in the dream world should not ignore Borrowed Time.
That’s the only changes I’d make.
Freddy loses bloodlust when placing a trap. I checked in kyf after being told the opposite. But let me know if you get a different result.

They did punish them.
They shrunk the maps so they will have to watch us do gennys while they camp!

Are you really defending mori spamming?
Like c'mon, is this bait?
Doubtful you are getting much support there.

Haha. So true!

If you nerf Noed nerf Adrenline. Noed has a damn counter you do the bones. Adrenline has no counter. Yes most people who use Noed tend to suck but its in survivors hands on whether it activates.
Adrenaline has a counter, just kill them before they get gennys done.
-
Or perhaps it is referring to the fact that once you hit struggle phase. Regardless of how much struggle you had left when saved, you are still on death hook next. No more struggle.
-
Not sure if you are referring to when just one survivor is left. If that is the case, then yes. The last survivor left, when hooked, instantly depletes the bar.
-
I would like to see ebony go. Ivory becomes ultra rare. And cypress becomes basekit.
That way killer has a chance to see their animations every game. And we wont have the op advantage that an ebony can be.
-
Should have saved this for like post 200 or so.
-
As a a guy that 4ks with my spirit almost every game, I'm pretty excited.
As a survivor that struggles with looping, little less so.
I just agree that now we should look at bloodlust soon.
-
Cj tech?
-
I'd say get rid of ebony. Make ivory ultra rare. And cypress basekit.
Then allow keys to only let one survivor out per key.
-
It's really only strong at the end game.
But my guess is right after the noed nerf!
-
Might want to search that chest on my way out, or cleanse that noed!

The statement "If the killer has no luck in hooking many survivors before the doors are activated" refutes the assumption that ""NOED isn't rewarding for bad gameplay".
Exactly my friend. Her own post screams killer is playing poorly.
Just have to Hope there was some totem hidden so well the survivors didn't find it, and maybe I can get a kill!

Or, as it was plainly stated. It's fine. It's an endgame build. Maybe people apply pressure early game and get one or two easy hooks PLANNING for the endgame.
Just because you think killers should go tryhard from the start and after 5 gens give up, doesnt make it the only way to play.
Dont run BBQ. Dont run enduring or franklins or bamboozle. They all inhibit your ability to improve by handing you aura reading, less stuns, less items, and short loops. All things that you should just git gud at. Right?
See why the "NoED is a crutch it makes you worse" sounds stupid? Because EVERY perk does that. They pick up slack in areas you're not good at. That's the ######### point.
Unless you want everyone to go perkless.
Yeah and noed picks up the area the killer is not good at.
It's called the whole game!
-
Yes it certainly helps to see the game from both sides. It makes you more understanding of why a certain tactic may have been used in that situation.
But I feel to truly get it. You have to play both sides competitively. Not just doing dailies or memeing around. But take each side in to at least purple ranks.

Where did I ever in my post say keys are to strong or ask for a nerf or even ask for everyone’s opinion. I said some ppl can escape without doin much same also goes with a killer and a Mori they can win without doing much. All I was saying about the keys is it’s not always hard work to escape with one that’s not sayin they are to strong or need a nerf that’s staying a fact I’ve seen in games and also didn’t say I was mad at crappy teammates. Your confusing me with other ppl as another post from someone else on here talks about adding time to open not how they do now with insta open. I said get rid of both then maybe ppl can stop complaining maybe re reread my posts again I never ask for nerfs or say things are op I always say it’s a game I try to have fun and that’s it.
Yeah I see I quoted the wrong person in my original post. Once again sorry for the confusion!

Again you survivors are making up your own rules that killers have no need to listen to. Why would you equip an addon that lets you kill people early and then only use it when the person is going to die on a hook anyways? No duh killers are gonna kill you as soon as they can. It's their job.
Survivors don't need an early escape when the hatch already exists and even if that closes you most likely still have a 50/50 to escape. Sure the key will "counter" the mori, but you shouldn't be able to. You are suppposed to be weak and vulnerable hence why there are more of you. If you want all this power and made up rules then you might as well make the game 4 killers and 4 survivors.
Not you survivors, my friend. I have 7 devotions as killer. Only 1 as survivor. I switched recently.
We are not entitled to an escape. We just want to play the game. Not get tunneled and moried right out from the start. Which in my opinion is the lowest skill a killer can demonstrate. That is why I have 112 ebonys. I choose not to use them because of how unfun they are.
Same reason I dont run ds as a survivor.

If decisive gets nerfed, a perk that I rarely use, I'll be glad to get a rework on Noed, another perk I rarely use.
We are in agreement. I like fungoose's idea for noed. Get a token for each survivor you failed to hook during game. Each hit when noed is active eliminates a token. When all tokens are gone, totem self destructs.

Ok, let's switch it to decisive. You fail in a chase twice in a short amount of time, you get rewarded by stunning the killer, even if he wasn't camping or tunneling and unluckily found you.
Decisive is an unbalanced and unfair perk. I won't defend it.

Noed rework request
No longer a hex.
Is now base game for all killers
Now also has unlimited aura reading
Extended lunge range by 12M for all basic attacks
And the exit gates are blocked for 20minutes use of hatch is instant death instead
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/141535/noed-nerf-rework-request
New noed can be disabled if no survivor brings adrenaline DS DH or toolbox
Idk why survivors feel so entitled to escape that literally anything killers do needs a nerf. Like seriously its not like noed auto sacs you when the gates are powered he still has to find-chase-hit and hook you without anyone flash lighting or sabo 2 seconds.
C'mon killers have been non stopped buffed since ruin nerf. Look they even eliminated the loop on ironworks. Killers are in a much better place then this time last year.

Nah moris are cool. Killers are power role so its ok if they murder survivors. But survivors have enough second chances with perks....and well they already get three chances if you play how everyone wants so they don't need keys.
C'mon now, ebony is op and often unfun. I have faced very few killers that actually use it on death hook, which I can respect. But mostly it's just tunnel dude down, mori him, rinse and repeat.
Keys counter mori. At least at some point you can find the hatch and escape the tunneling mori killer by finding hatch and not sitting on gens like a lame duck with no counter.
Also I am fine with ivory, and all for cypress being basekit.

I never said I wanted the keys and said in another post I wouldn’t mind if either key and Mori were gone. Also didn’t complain about one person escaping was just sayin stuff I had seen as killer and survivor in matches and how I’ve seen other survivors not do anything the entire match basically but hide and escaped. When I play killer idc how many kills I get as long as I had fun playing the game that’s what matters to me sometimes I play better sometimes survivors do the fun and bloodpoints are all I really care about.
I reread your post and you do state that you believe keys are too strong. You also state you wish they were nerfed, and needed time to open the hatch as opposed to how they are now.
Which is why I was pointing out that an ebony is stronger than a key.
If your mad at a survivor for getting out using a key, that you feel didn't do anything. That is not the fault of the key, but more a complaint against crappy teammates that get lucky at the end. This will not often be the case.
You also asked what do we think. I was telling you what I think. That is as long as ebony is a thing, keys are fine. Get rid of ebony and you can have keys. Just my thoughts, which you asked for.

1st of all, people's judgement isn't what you are. 2nd, throwing garbage on the streets makes you an shole, playing the game as it is intended to be played, don't. survivors complain too much about situations they/their teamates put themselves on. and I'm talking from a main solo survivor pov.
Yeah I gotta agree here. If I get farmed in front of the killet with no BT, I'm not mad at what decision the killer makes. I'm mad at the bad gameplay my teammates made.
Had a NEA do this to me twice in a row. No Bt, didn't take the hit. Killer just tunnels me out of the game. Then she using point emoji at the killer. I'm like you set him up with the ally oop , he just slammed it home.
Worst part, if she let me hang a second, I had adrenaline and would have had a chance when last genny popped.
-
It really depends on what is happening in the game. If there are 5 gennys left and I know one is being worked where I went to. I'm going to try and do a quick search, maybe a pop kick.
If I head back and see wounded survivor I will down them. I don't like to tunnel, but after being farmed sooo many times by rando survivors. I will no longer allow a bad saver to be rewarded with a safe hook rescue. So wounded guy gets slugged or I'll just pick you up and eat ds. It's the other guy I want now!
-
I love playing as freddy, for awhile, but yes he can get stale after a bit. He is strong and ofcourse iconic, so that is a enticing in itself.
I dont mind playing against freddy unless someone is going for that "almost forever " build with their ebony. Then it's like "what's the point?"

It’s kind of incredible at this point. On the rare occasions I turn on my messages and roll the dice, I almost feel disgusted if someone compliments my killer play. How am I suppose to burn Mori or slug if the survivor community suddenly starts to act like decent human beings. No, please continue to annoy and harass me so that I may relieve myself of the mental burden brought upon the ass kicking I must deliver. The Entity provides 🙏
This is why I always send that Gg Wp. Even after tunneled and facecamped to death while the killer shakes their head at me for two minutes.
Maybe they will see that it is another human being on the other side next time. At least they know we are not all toxic in this game.

You don’t have to do all 5 gens for a key to be used the more in the team that die the less gems need to be done before the hatch appears. So if you team isn’t that good you can use a key without doing much. When a killer takes out 3 of 4 and they only got two gens done and the killer closes the hatch but it gets opened with a key that’s a free win. Survivors did little killer did everything they were supposed to and yes I’ve seen that happen from both sides.
At that point, who cares? One guy escapes via the hatch and you got a 3k. I think that's a win in most people's perspective.
Ebony mori is much more powerful than a key. That also promotes an unfun tactics, usually a tunneling and mori off first hook.
You want the keys give up the ebony mori. And I will even agree that cypress mori becomes basekit.
-
What is considered a normal amount of death threats?
-
Fungoose was a clown main for a bit. He mained plague got 116 games in a row with 4ks, no addons or ruin in red ranks with her.

I'm sure it would slow some people down, but most people who have played this game for a long time will memorize each generator spawn point, and it wouldn't take long to find one.
On a related note, I would argue that the setup in that screenshot is great for the killer. Four gens right next to each other like that are very easy to protect. While yes, they'll find and get to them faster, you'll be able to keep them off all four very easily.
I saw it that way myself. You could just set up shop in the middle of those four gennys and have a good shot at keeping them off em.

Kindred is awesome. I run it when swfing, gives me so much information in a split second and is great for coordinating saves.
Also little tip, if spirit is pink she is faking her phase. When she stops glowing pink she is phasing.

I was able to play for 2 days but now it is happening again....only as a survivor because it's working as a killer....infinite loading screen and no party creation possible.
We get that more frequently then we would like. Didn't have any problems last night, about to try today. Fingers crossed
-
Gen speeds are fine. Its map size that is the problem. It's like 80 seconds to complete a genny. That combined with regression and other killer perks can prolong it even further.
The problem being how far some of them are spaced not how long they take to complete.
Also losing two gens early is not the end of the game. Often end up 4kIng with 3 gennys left
-
It is so much more fun to play with friends. I know there are good solos out there, but also plenty of potatoes. I can't tell you how many times we have been farmed by solo this week.
Like do they even hear the heartbeat coming right at us? Uh look no BT. This 5 seconds after I'm hooked. Like do gennys.
No thanks, minimum of 3 man swf or I'm playing killer. Shout out to all the good competent solo players out there. We love when we get you in our lobby.
-
You want to rework a perk that you say yourself is unreliable?
I mean I'd say it works maybe 50% of the time. I'm all for getting that to 100%!
-
Awesome comments guys! Thanks just wanted to start a discussion and respect all the feedback. Even the bits that felt a little salty.
Just fyi to those of you that took it a bit seriously. I wasn't saying dodge the lobby or flashlights were op. Was just saying what ever a killers preference was to play, better your odds of not getting dodged by leaving a few items behind.
