Use all your perk slots to keep yourself alive.
I run Detective’s Hunch and Inner Strength for super reliable healing. But I also run Blood Pact so I can find someone to heal me if the totems all get cleansed. Blood Pact has also helped me a ton because it creates an Obsession so the Killer has to respect Decisive Strike even when no one has it.
My last perk is almost always Dead Hard. But any exhaustion perk will do. Lithe is also pretty good in chases
I run DS, kindred, spine chill and dead hard. Then I bring a great medkit. I play whatever character has the best medkit options.
Seems to be i need to improve my looping if I want to escape more.

50% all the way to 1. I almost always prioritize WGLF stacks and play pretty aggressive. It doesn't matter what perks I use other than WGLF- the outcome is generally the same. Just know your tiles.
I would have a higher survival rate if I play more safe, but I would have quit this game a long time ago if I did.
That is fair! I don't play very safe either, however I don't have the looping skills to back it up.

40-50%. As solo survivor if you wanna pip should focus more on alturism thats where you get easiest emblem points from, so slap on empathy + medkit and take hits for your team8, borrow time for safe unhooks and I think maybe deliverance can work too, I am unsure
Thanks for the advice, I guess I concentrate on gennys and save as opportunity presents itself.

id say i have an escape ration of... idk 60% to 70%?
in case you're not currently using it, i highly recommend you run Kindred.
Its an amazing solo perk.
I do run kindred in my solo build. Damn you all seem to be surviving quite a bit!

Probably about 70-80% of the time, regardless of if I'm in a SWF or not.
That doesn't mean that solo queue isn't painful, or doesn't feel borderline unplayable, because that is definitely how it is.
I survive so much because I learnt how to loop (and try to be efficient, so much so that when doing the drop 10 pallets in chase challenge, it took about 20 survivals in a row lmao) and know that if I don't have information to determine where to go to heal if needed, I'll just sit on a gen and I'm always mindful of a 3 gen when deciding which to do, as it's auto-loss if that happens. It's why on Azarov's Resting Place, the first thing I do is check if the side I'm on has 2, 3, or 4 gens on it. (That make needs fixing tbh, I've had all 5 gens on a deadzone RNG at shackside) The principle sticks for most maps, but it's a bit less clear cut to determine how to avoid it.
But conversely, I find the same to be true of my killrate, so I chalk it all up to RNG.
Thanks! Looping is definitely my weakness and the main reason I went solo, don't want to rely on others to do it for me.
You sound like a hell of a teammate!

I like nontoxic chill streamers that are really good on both sides.
Or streamers that have really good interaction with their chats and make it a party.
So to learn and get better I watch Otz , fungoose.
If I just want to have fun and party and chat, I watch longlivmac.

I like to see these posts of Spirit players who openly admit Spirit will catch you in 6 seconds regardless of the skill or ability of those in play. It -is- a great and balanced killer indeed.
It’s still true though, well said.
Idk about regardless of skill. I couldn't have done that with her when I first started playing her.
But I have mained her since she came out when everyone said she was trash, so I feel quite competent with her now.

I do it eat it if it is early game. I try to trigger it as fast as possible. I'd much rather have that stun when it is no worse than any Pallet or Blind if I can. However, if it is at a point where it could cause me stress, and I don't have to pick the person up, why would I? I just set the timer.
No, that totally makes sense. I was just curious if that was standard strategy or situational.

I couldn't tell you; I don't run it. I did briefly but found I didn't get a reliable enough return on it. Some people swear by it and there are some SWF that have it always as part of their combo. I can tell you as a Killer I just have a little timer on my desk and I hit it the second the person becomes unhooked so I know when I can pick them up again. :)
It is far better to have reliable teammates (Solo or SWF) than it is to have that Perk in my humble opinion.
Why Not just pick them up and eat it? At least in early game, I prefer to just eat it and get it out of the way.
Ofcourse as a Spirit main, I'm just going catch em again in 6 seconds, I could see slugging on slower killers tho.
-
Play how you want, for your own win conditions, for what is fun for you.
I personally enjoy multiple hook actions, chases won, gens defended.
4king is always the goal, but not my only win condition. If I put up a good fight , learned something, got better, well then, to me, I won something there as well.
Trust me, early on you will struggle as killer at higher ranks. But it is the experience of trying that will make you better. No perk setup will make you a better killer.
You only get better by trying, playing, experience.
-
Play as "fair" as I can without cucking myself.
I don't slug for a 4k, if you get hatch first, so be it.
-
Damn...I didn't know this.
Sorry David I slugged for an extended period of time when you were almost off and your friend sabo my hook.
Should of picked you up sooner...
The more you know...da do do de
-
Yeah when you DC, you lose all credibility to insult another players tactics.
-
If you facecamp me with 1gen left and you only got 2 hooks all game.
Well, as Pac said, "I aint mad at cha."

And how the heck is a killer rewarded? The killer gains nothing on a DC.
The survivors have the option to quit a game early if they want to do so. Suicide on a hook. Sure it's a dick move but that's done to avoid this exact penalty. And it's in the game already so survivors are free to do it all they want and queue up for another game immediately. A killer has to suffer through the entire game. They can't just up and open the gate and just leave the trial through some in game means. And that's what this is fixing.
I'll say it again, if you decide to play the game, if you ready up, then accept the challenge and present one.
Don't chicken ######### out because suddenly you are losing.
-
So......you want to not only condone but also reward killers for DCing when they are losing.
But we seem to frown upon survivors for suicideing on hook.
Simply put, if you ready up to play, if you agree to the challenge, then as I have said before, accept one and damn well present one!
-
The Gordon's fisherman???? That is hilarious!😁
Edit.I guess it's spelled Gortons, who knew
-
You can keep it.
Not fun game play for me. But each their own.
-
Docs I face at red ranks tend to be really good. He one of those killers I love to play as, and hate to play against.
-
My first game as a survivor, I actually got the hatch. My daughter and her friends got me to play a game with them , it was at Lerys, and they all died, I turned a corner and just jumped in the hatch. I told them this game was so EZ, lol.
My first game as a killer, was with Doc when he first came out. and Damn I got destroyed, trolled, don't think I hooked anyone. It was just so bad.
I have learned quite a few tricks since then tho, try trolling me now mothertruckers!!!!

Myers size leads you to believe he is the Rob Zombie version.
I think original Mikey actor was like 5 foot 10 and about 170 lbs.

Mori nerfs? You mean BHVR is about to balance their game? lol
Oh c'mon now, your bias is showing
-
Yes yes yes, a 100% yes.
U die instantly on hook anyway.
Especially with the new mori nerfs we all know are coming.
-
Yes, this drives me crazy. I can't tell you how many games we have pulled out in a 3 v1, that the guy that killed themselves on the hook could have also enjoyed.
But, OPs points are completely valid, you destroy the game for the other survivors and make it exponentially harder to win. Also, you steal a hook rescue and possibly a heal from those of us trying to pip. I know rank means little, but for some of us challenging ourselves to meet goals, you take that opportunity from us.
It is like I tell my friends when you lose three gens early, the game is still far from over. You can still 4k with 2 gennys left. Same with getting hooked early. Hang around, pun intended, and give the team a chance to make some plays.
Or at least let us get that save!
-
I do fine against spirit as well, but it is probably because I have mained her since she came out. You can predict her as much as she can you. Also her power has a long cooldown, learn how to use that against her.
Although, gen rush is definitely your best strategy.
-
Killer is only as difficult as your experience and skill level dictates.
Play PS4 solo survivor at red ranks and you will see and endless onslaught of 4k games with the occasional hatch escape.
Many of these killers are doing just fine.
It is really only 4 man talented SWFs that make the game extremely challenging for the killer.
-
I gotta say, I have mained spirit for over 2 years and she is Hella fun.
It's all in your perspective. 😎
-
Can't play my first love, sweet P3 Claudette.
I don't play an immersed style, but the hate is real. Rather not fight a mori every match, so Tapp is is.
I've been on an Ace kick recently as well.
-
Yeah, but they have no problem with Freddy being in the game.
Pretty much the most despicable back story.
Its just a game

And now she's a vengeful spirit who can blink around. Jack Torrance is literally a janitor wielding an axe.
No, He was a writer and school teacher that was possessed by the spirits/hotel and pushed to kill his family , so they could absorb Danny's power.

The monster in Shining is not Jack. The monster is the Overlook Hotel.
But wasn't the monster in the Spirit's lore her father?

One of the biggest things I have learned since going solo survivoring, is that we all are on a team, but yet competing against each other to pip.
Had a Meg race me to an unhook, had to position myself to kinda block her so I could get there first.
As a swf, your like, "IM going to go for the save" everyone else stays on gens.
Solo is like, "damn I need these altruistic points"
So while it looks like we may be playing dumb and too altruistic, we are just trying to pip up.
-
Red rank Trapper!
The floor is lava!
-
Whoa....got a little heated quick.
Franklin's can be a good perk for killers. I am a medkit player so I hate losing it. But I do have my DH so that helps.
I will try to retrieve it if I know the killer is occupied but I am not throwing the game to get it back.
And also, ######### you survivors that take my medkit and won't give it back at the end of the game.
Idc that you depleted, just return it when/if you get the chance.
-
I used to play only swf, but I am currently doing a solo challenge.
Trying to see how high I can climb as strictly a solo survivor.
Needless to say, my escape rate has dropped drastically.
-
Blunts and bourbon, but each their own!
-
Ironically, just had a game vs blight.
We lost one but , got gennys done. Injured Claudette opening gates. I get behind to take a hit if Blight shows.
3 lights, horn blasting, blight swings, hitting claudette. #########, I had this covered. Then hits me, I run.
Hits other survivor, downs them, still trying the get gate open.
Hooks Claudette, picks up other survivor, must of seen me creeping for save. Drops and gets me, 4k ez.
#########, 2 milliseconds and we were out.
Gotta love this game, which I do.
-
Yeah but God loopers would take on this challenge stay in the TR and be a pain in the ass.
Throw in a flashlight and you could presumably eat a whole lot of killer's time!
-
Do you mean slugging for the 4k?
Or are you refering to when I down you and your buddy after you perform an unsafe unhook while injured and you both go down.
Then that injured meg goes down trying to do the genny right next to the two slugs and I got pop.
Down the noisy ass meg.
But who I feel bad for. Is that poor steave that has to cross the map and runs into a buzz saw trying to save these 3 fools.
4k ez thanks, from ######### camping slugging tunneling killer, that should have hooked the survivors he already had down instead of playing to win.
-
I respect your decision.
I am also trying to learn her on console, so far it hasn't gone well, but I have my moments.
Good luck!
-
I've had a few games against the same red rank trapper last night!
Thanks for the depip, Mr Trapper! 😁
-
The BS part is the survivors spamming you to do it in your face.
If you are going go through the hatch, go. No need to make the killer watch, we figure it out when you all disappear and the game ends.
Like school on Sunday, no class!
-
Honestly for me, stuck at rank 6 solo survivor, PS4, all I see are red rank killers.
I haven't seen a purple rank killer since hitting 6.
Shout out to you red ranks killers on PS4, you all are killing it!!

Well... perhaps because it's locked into a paid DLC and before you say anything, there are many poor countries out there, if you're able to purchase it then good for you
Second reason it's because perhaps survivors don't want to use the meta always and just have a fun game.
Personally if I don't see Obsession then there's no DS so why tunneling them if I am not at risk?
I got it out of the shrine
-
Congrats my friend!!
Awesome accomplishment!!

Makes sense sometimes I throw it on but usually these days I just play fun builds. As long as I stay in red which is usually not too tough I'm fine.
Yeah, I just started my solo career as a survivor. I am hard stuck at rank 6 ATM.
So maybe I'll let it go when I get better.
I will say for me, red rank killers every match has been a humbling experience.
-
@Mistikus , I think I missed your point in last post.
As far as broken loops are concerned at least.
If they show up on a map, its ok to run it, once. But to run to it after every single hit is kinda BS. You know the killer doesn't have time to chase that 6 times a game.
