Well it Is not easy for sure for people who play Once a longer while And just for short time / new players.
However I think the Real problem Is that older content allready has some issues or needs some rework And changes including many killers. But every 3 months we have new And Its just overwhelming to keep up to make offten new stuff but also keep coming back to old stuff thats just increasing in size And balance it. It Tales Ages simply.

Lets compare
Sabo save requires:
- Carried survivor has Boilover
- A survivor has Sabo and/or toolbox to sabo a targeted hook, not any.
- Another survivor has Sano and/or toolbox to sabo another targeted hook
- Third survivor has Breakout
- Take a hit
- Take a second hit
- Hook spawn offering
Survivors need to have at least 3 or 4 out of these 6 things to success.
Flashlight save requires:- A survivor has flashlight
- Background player
The effort and requirements for a Sabo save is far greater than Flashlight save. But somehow killers see Sabo save a problem. No, they dont. All you need Is someone with Sabo ability to disable Hook in front of the Killer to waste most of his time for free escape (easy with these buffs) or take Once hit And then Sabo. Its rly not complicated.
-
People who say that Sabo buffs Are good for more engament And Its not meta... Hell no. How Fun Is to put roadblock in front of your objective, downing someone And then Force to leave them on ground.. yay So much! Can't do my objective just slug And chase until gens Are done or everyone Is slugged to death for minutes.
-
Dont worry, buffing all toolboxes with 20~50% bonus Sabo Speed Is 100% not the case.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
I thought I see some gameplay where they are actually used against you, but no, only a complaint about the Patchnotes.
I have not seen sabo-toolboxes once yesterday. For something which seems to be busted (according to the Forums), quite odd.
Because people dont know about it yet. Time Will come.
Also I quess you think Its fine that we should buff allready best toolbox in the game And why not give different toolbox 100% extra Sabo Speed (50% buff) right? Seems fine. I dont see how this could Backfire in long Future And creator even more unfun Sabo matches where Killer can just slug for 4K.

He's still plays the same if you didn't spend time just scampering pallets
As for window vaults yes this is a bad change
All together this changes did not kill Chucky, coming as a p50 Chucky enjoyer
Well I am not Chucky enjoyer anymore after what they did to my doll.
-
I played againts him once since everyone is using someone else than Lich in my games.
We won pretty easily and he got only 1 kill because he tunneled at final gen. He couldn't even hook half the team. I don't find him oppresive (yet).
-
Oh that's why everyone is using Leatherface instead of Lich, now I got it. I was thinking why I see more Bubbas than new killer. I forgot about these changes.
-
Jumping back to DbD after a week+ of calm break to check new DLC reminds me again why did I stopped (#soloQ).
-
By removing scamper/making it useless (have to use Dash with very limited turn restriction makes it useless And most easy ablity to Dodge) makes Chucky more Bland And way more simplier than He was before. This itsnt a compliment, the opposite really.
All He does Now Is that He gets charge Attack every 12 seconds. Thats it. Boring And uninteresting, downgraded version. I want scamper back on pallets just make it last longer to vault over the pallet. Give him something man.
-
They should add scamper back. The problem is not that you could vault over pallet, it was the speed you could do that and the such a low window for survivor to react to it.
Window scamer removal is just horrible.
He feels so bland and one-thing only killer that they ruined him.
-
They are all pretty much niche. That item perk is bad tho.
-
How to ruin a Fun And strong Killer 101.

I’m buying Vecna day one cause I love dnd but I hope they nerf his special items. Like teleporting is insane and you can’t stop it. I’d say have it charge for a few seconds before it teleports but I don’t really care that much cause it’s Vecna and he’s cool
Wait what?! I didnt even know there legendary tier of magic items And Now I read about them on Wiki And they both sound insane lol.
-
Its only playable (not good) if you play Plague or maybe Legion on a small map. Even then it can be countered.
Its horrible perk that only does something small when you have everyone injured for longer period of time which almost never happends.

I think he's more low B/top of C. The spread on the projectile is too slow to consistently hit survivors on mouse and keyboard controls. And 3 hits is really rough.
I think the effect when you apply gets removed too quickly. I would suggest either removing the extra lingering removal effect that persists once you lose line of sight of Unknown (still counts as if you were looking at him) or make it wear off few seconds extra.
-
Outside of Background Player, trash perks pretty much. Decent looking characters tho. They introduced most useless and yet not returned arch-perk type: "teamwork" which is like one of the worst if not worst archetype of perks.
-
Bubba can still proxi camp you and down the same person with endurance easily still, nothing was changed about that.
-
110% Killers are less fun to play for me honestly. So I am glad they aren't here.

This is fake ( image edited )
I would like that honestly.
It would be more harder for stealth killers if you hear splash sounds around you, but it would be cool like a part of a map being flooded. Maybe not a whole map but maybe some small part for starters.

I don't like these perks because they're just so boring.
The "Do X and gain Haste for 10 seconds" formula has been done ad nauseum at this point.
I do like few like the window one or Game Afoot but the problem is the numbers are too safe and unless you play full haste/action speed build they do nothing and even then these builds are rather gimmicky than good.

Look, there's really no nice way to say this. If you think that rework Sadako was fine and that she sucks now, you were being carried by how ridiculously strong she was against 90% of survivors in this game. You're asking to bring it back for the same reason survivors wish they could bring back all of their old stupid broken garbage like old Dead Hard and Circle of Healing. I feel very passionately about this because she's gone from one of my favorite killers to most hated killers to one of my favorites again.
Rework Sadako is one of the worst designs they have ever made. She was extremely flowcharty and braindead. You just spammed teleport to stack condemn on people. If you had the Mother's Comb, you got notified any time a survivor interacted with a TV, so you knew where they were and where to go to slap it out of their hands.
Her gameplay basically involved just picking one survivor and harassing them to make sure they can never interact with TVs while building condemned on them. Unless they weren't an absolutely cracked survivor, they were eventually going to make a mistake and go down and then die. Do this early enough and you could basically play the rest of the match without using your power at all, a 3v1 is an extremely hard for survivors to play against.
Survivors couldn't get tapes from TVs which were turned off, and they were always turned off because of how much she was teleport spamming. Survivors also can't see the auras of TVs like she can, so they had to just wander around the map to find one which wasn't turned off to get a tape, all while she's building condemn on them from her teleport spamming. Then they got a tape, she gets told where they are if she's running Mother's Comb or if she's just paying attention and notices a TV turn off by itself, then she runs over to hit them and there's a good chance they could be mori'ed right after that since destroying the tape built condemn.
She took significantly more effort to play against than to play as, especially since she herself had a low skill ceiling and skill floor. She had nothing other than flicker mindgames as a mechanic to get good with because of how much her macro game played itself for you. Go watch that video Otzdarva posted where he literally wins while playing one-handed because of how little effort it took.
Yet for all of this, she was terrible against great survivors who could actually loop you and were efficient with generators, since all they needed to do was hold a tape to be protected while they rushed gens and the member of their team she was targeting to keep from interacting with TVs threw every pallet on the map to delay her as long as possible. After a point she had no choice but to keep committing, because she had no condemn built on anybody else.
Before her rework she was one of my highest prestige killers at that time. I straight up abandoned her because I hated subjecting people to what an unfun experience it was to play against her. Meanwhile if you ever got a good survivor team, it was miserable in the opposite direction.
Sadako now, by comparison, is an excellently designed killer and likely the best designed macro play killer in the game. Building condemn is once again something the Sadako must put effort into, and survivors actually need to care about it. She takes effort and thought to play as and to play against. But the fact it takes effort and thought to play as her now makes me unsurprised that people who really liked the easy braindead version think she's useless.
I said bring her back with some nerf(s).
-
Sadako release version (1.0): D tier, top among worst killers in the game
Sadako 2.0 (first rework): A tier, the only killer that had bad chase power but had insane macro and slowdown potential. It was pretty unique since it was the only killer that didn't rely on chase power.
Sadako 3.0 (current): bottom C tier, just slightly better than original version in terms of chase but worse in terms of condement and power function.
Result: She needs buffs.
-
Survivors won't like to hear this but…
If you want killers to not tunnel and camp and slug and make base kit changes to that, you will have to lower the pressure on killer side as well. So that means extra time on objective(s) you know.

I disagree. Apart from Killers like Phead who were practically created to tunnel, and in the old days Rundying Blight with Alch ring, no other Killer has had a stereotype this strong. When SM is still one of the strongest 3 gen holders in the game and still consistently ranking as the Killer with the highest Kill Rate in the game, at what point is it, not a stereotype but rather a pattern that's just consistently noticed?
And when I say scummy, I mean playing in a toxic manner. Sure, holding down a 3 gen, tunneling, etc, isn't necessarily toxic, but when it's combined with random hitting on hook, BMing, and trash talk, then that's when it becomes toxic.
Obviously, they aren't some organized crime group, but when you create a Killer power that is so ridiculously easy to use to 3 gen then that usually ends up attracting some of the worst types of people to that Killer, leading to a vast majority of them being not so kind people.
3-gen is no more. They can try delay it but they can't hold the game anymore so She can't rly have that. Also any killer can camp gens and someone like Knight can push people away from distance while SM can't.
-
Nah, that would be too good and it would make funny-hardskillchecks go BUM build into annoying meta quickly.
Its not that that perk is weak because it can be good when you have build around it and you get at least 4 tokens because you force Survivors to focus and pay less attention around themselfs and that extra regression penalty is good.
Problem is, its Hex perk. Unless it has some extra survival ability or utility (like Face The Darkness or Play Thing, Pentimento, Noed), its destined to be RNG and not rly worth running. And you can't efford to run half the perks just for Hex to survive when you need other skillcheck oriented perks to make it worth.
Hexes in general need a bit of extra survival ability to make them worth while.
-
I think it showes problems were allready knew existed for very long time.
Tunneling is issue for Survivors and Gen speed is issue for killers.
How about we do something about that base kit and stop the semi-half-baked balance stand on few perks back to back.
-
Hell no. With Iri addons its even worse than before, feels cheap to get hit from him when he runs duo IRI.
-
You don't need to empathize with them, its not like they should be ashamed of themselfs for playing a killer they like.
I think every killer probably has some kind of stereotype and then some player on the other side has some bias towards them (mostly negative than positive experience).
For example for me, Pyramid Heads pretty much 95% of the time just ALWAYS tunnel the first person that gets tormented (usualy first chase) and ALWAYS goes back to cages and instatly downs them and kills them. You could say in a way that PH players are scummy? Sure, but also its effective so I get why people play like this and in the end its not like they are breaking games rules or something, so it is also not scummy. Its just a view point. Also I am sure there are PH players who don't tunnel the first people out when they get the chance.
SM aren't some orginized crime group that have goal to bully Survivors and make them suffer. They are just regular players like you and me who just wants to play some character for many reasons. I also played againts few SM who played pretty fair and nice.
-
I don't think he is nerfed until upcoming patch where they finaly nerfed his Iri add-ons which was the last OP thing about him, like most of my matches againts Blight were double Iris and it was so annoying and its so hard to counter it.
I think outside of his add-ons re-balancing, which he really needed, he is still S tier yet now fair I would say. Without any OP addons he is pretty good. I don't think he much changed outside of add-ons.
But hey I am not Blight main, I play Blight sometimes but I see him more for sure then play him.
-
How the hell is Trapper and Doc with 4% pickrate. I almost never see them. Must be low MMR.
Also notice how most of characters that are free are also most played.
The Unknown stats are better than I thought, 64% winrate is pretty good (but also he was new so people died to him more than usual at the start).
-
You have to go to custom lobby and switch to the side you want, pick the character, then put name of that character in search bar and then you can view it.
I know, amazing change.
-
Gearhead sucks because of the aura color makes you see big #########.
Discordance is okay but why would you pick it with many other better info perks.

So the only way that killers can kill anyone is by ignoring the one thing survivors have to survive (Pallets)? Do you even play survivor?
We allready had that with Sadako 2.0 and it ended that Survivors still complained about her so she got reworked again (nerfed).
She was the ONLY killer to put A tier that had bad chase power.
-
Well to be fair, most licensed DLCs are hit rather than a miss and with original chapters its rather the opposite offten (generaly speaking).
But also its bit sad that creativity goes to die a bit since majority of new content will be licensed payed. Also decreases the value of shards a bit for saving.
-
I would be very hyped for Nightmare rework/changes on roadmap.
-
There are perks that counter other perks and powers that counter perks.
Ruin counters these two perks but ruin can be countered by some survivor anti-totem perks as well. What's the deal here? Sounds pretty fair to me.
-
Hunt or be Hunted
4 players. Everyone starts as Survivor. Item is spawned in the middle of map and is revealed to all players. Who ever picks it first, becomes the killer (Trapper with no power) after 3 seconds of cooldown. There are no generators and pallets respawn after 120 seconds excluding Main Building and Shack pallets. Entity blockers will block window after 2 vaults.
Then 8 min countdown starts (visible to everyone on top screen). Survivors can't be downes or injured but each hit from the killer will gain 1 point. When countdown ends the player with most points wins.
To become the killer, stun or blind the killer by any means to switch positions. Chests spawn only 2 but each grants flashlight (33%) or flashbang (66%).
-
What I would do is:
Scamper time = 1.3 —> 1.6 sec.
Cooldown of power time = 18 —→ 15 sec.
-
I would rather if they increase the scammer time by like 20-25% to give some more fair window for the Survivor to react to or give a small distance. Scammer is worthless since using it only during Slice & Dice is 99% wasted, you can't hit anybody with this pretty much unless they have no clue what to do.
-
I am sorry but significant buffs to push killers to A tier?
The only Killer who got huge buff and was put into top A is Hillbilly.
The rest of buffs were nice, sure, but they are rather small scale. Pig is still weak, now reguire two dash add-ons to make her chase power useable. Doc is pretty much same just less add-on depandent so he is still like bottom B/top C. Deathslinger got small buff. Twins got QoL buffs but they were allready strong. Bubba gets his addons base kit which is very nice but the overall power level still is same or pretty close as of now if you would use his best addons.
While nerfing key killer perks definitely hurts these who need it the most.
-
If its nother recycled sameish power... Better be not, this is fantasy IP, so be creative and magical even with the power please!
-
Great killer changes maybe except the Hindred on Weskers power should be bit higher (5-6%).
Perk changes are kinda wild. Gen slowdown across the boad nerfed but that just puts weaker killers into worse situation. DS nerf is lazy and they should just add "If killer hooks someone else, its disabled." and keep the 5 sec stun. Wawing spiders might legit be overpowered, 60 sec (can be faster) to get every gen -10sec perma is busted. Background player didn't need buff to compensete insane speed boost. Grim doesnt need nerf. Pop was before 20% and was buffed back to 30% because it was weak, then why not try 25%?
No changes to bad perks except for overbuffed Spiders.
Toolboxes don't need sabo buffs. This just puts killers into slugging which is never fun for anybody.
Borgo change is great.
-
While its not easy to do, it is still skill issue.
-
Oh yes let me use that perk that has longer cooldown than dowloading new bug fix patch for the game, has easy skillcheck that most people can hit and is also kinda random.
-
You can't ban people for tbagging you.
-
Billy is fine.
If killers like Nurse and Blight exist than Billy is super balanced anyway.
-
Only thing Blight needs is to nerf that stupid two Iri add-ons.
-
Nooooooooooooooooooooo.
Some core mechanics of the game should NEVER be a perk, item, offering, etc. that can change it.
Imagine something like this for the killer. "Get kill and revert finished gen back to 0%." or "Hook all survivors once and revert progress of finished gen". Like hell no.
-
Where is that energy perk killswitch??
