  • I am not playing Hag even with +100% bonus, sorry. That killer is zZzzZzzZZzZzz… + gets destroyed againts SWF group who knows what they are doing.

    • Her hitbox is sometimes strange, you will sometimes miss hits that looked like they should have landed making you feel bad.
    • Playing without at least one anti-turrent addon againts Survivors who don't put turrents next to tunnels can be painfull to deal with. Feeling like you should play at least with the helmet addon or -2m range yellow addon on turrets.
    • Her counterplay is hold W, predrop if possible which is boring if Survivors play it well.
    • Her power isn't super unique, she shares elements with other killers. Only true unique thing is turrets that you don't even get to play with.
    • When you get out of your power by turrets, the chase is pretty much dead unless you are very close or its dead zone.
    • Pig
    • Freddy (rework idealy)
    • Shape
    • Dredge
    • Trapper
    • Bubba
    • Nemesis
    • Clown
    • Doc
    • Ghostface
    • Legion
    • Knight
    • Trickster
    • Wraith
  • I wish perks were changed way more offten. Seriously there are so many perks that would be suddenly decent and even usefull if they just buff their numbers. Some perks are bad by desing so they need a rework or major change.

There are many killers who need changes and addon passes or some addon changes.

There are many buffs SoloQ needs to be more enjoybale and playbale. You will never fix a gap between SWF and SoloQ of course but you can totaly make it way more close to each other to the point the difference won't be so big anymore (except for good teamplays).

(not official DbD data! Atm she is the 5th least player Killer according to community collected stats).

Well I always used to tell myself that I rly like Artist and I still like her, but…

She isn't that interesting to play offten times. She is bit tricky and can be difficult if you are trying to play her well (use power to do damage, not just trap loops that's boring and low skill). Her power comes down to, put a crow where you think the survivor is/will be or at loop and press again to shot when you think its ready. All you do whole match is to try to hit people and predict their movement. That can be cool and when I play her finaly I usualy have a decent time with her but there are so many killers and there are quite a few ones that are more fun and more simple to use to have same or better results with.

When you have this many killers in the game and someone is kinda avarage to play (fun and feel tier), unless you play this game many hours a day in the same role it will take a while before you will finaly pick her once.

I think Artist is a great example that killer sole power level isn't good enough to justify their playrate. Just because killer is strong it doesn't mean they will be played a lot. She is cool but also kinda one-dimensional.

Also while not a big deal, I find her add-ons to bit not interesting for the most part. Best add-ons are the cooldowns ones (brown and yellow) with extra repeal time, then the shoes that reduce the cooldown of slowdown that is also nice and then I quess that one that speards birds to near Survivors but that's kinda it.

TLDR: Artist gameplay is too one-dimensional, while there is a skill ceiling to her and she can be fun, her power is mostly just place crows and predict survivors movement and shot when prob ready. Strong, but not so interesting as other killers.

  • Nurse is one of the most unique Killers in the game, like it or not.

She is the ONLY killer from ALL 35+ killers that you have to play differently againts and as her. You have to change your playstyle.

She was nerfed like X times in row, like almost every year she gets nerfed. How much you people want? Do you want to make her just bad killer to play? She is one of the few killers if not the only one who even the most skilled Survivors have to respect (her power).

  • I think the true problem to this is that like 50%+ perks on both sides are so specific or just bad/weak to other perks in same cathegory that just shaking up things won't last long.

They need to start buffing weak perks in more serious and rapid way. Like 2-3 perks per 3 months with small buffs usualy is very bad ratio.

  • I mean when we get like 2 bad perks per 3 months to get small buffs... No wonder the meta is stale and same no metter how offten you change it.

When you've been around as long as I have, you start to see the same patterns emerge, year after year.

As soon as we nerf BGP, it'll take about two weeks before we're flooded with complaints about gen rushing. I don't see any other option at this point to satiate people, but BGP does get people doing something other than gens.

Nah men I would rather get "gen rushed" from time to time then to deal with sonic rescuers with 0 counterplay and low skill and bully squads.

  • One of the best killers they ever made. Fair (for the most part, that tunneling with Hindred after unhooking could be bit too much maybe), strong, skillfull and fun for both sides.

…and this will go over all the heads of those who try to comment on this discussion without watching the video.

Otz hit the nail on the head with his commentary here. This is exactly the type of trial that drives new and casual players away from the game.

It wouldnt be as much a problem if MMR protected players from this experience, but for whatever reason a player of any skill level could encounter this at any time.

Exactly. Us players who allready spend year(s)+ with this game we are kinda used to it because sometimes we all get wild matches or unbalanced stuff in the way.

Now imagine you are kinda new or returning player and you get such game where you get blinded on every single pick up and have to face every single second chance stuff in your way. Bro wouldn't prob last long if he gets anything more than 2 games like this and just says it's not worth it and leaves.

It was a decent year, absolutely. Also take into account Alan Wake made his appearance too.

I mentioned Alan with Cage there in the end, but to me its the least exciting license this year. Maybe once I finaly sit to his game(s) might care about him more.

meh. End transmission sucked as an anniversary chapter. Didn’t buy any of the characters and made for this was ridiculous. Alien chapter was cool: cool killer and cool survivor. bought both No complaints there as alien is very fun to play. I hate playing vs chucky and didn’t buy him so not a fan of that chapter. And then I only bought sable mainly for her perks. She’s a cool survivor but I don’t play her. And I’m not a fan of playing vs unknown and I didn’t buy him. So in my opinion only 1 good chapter. Hopefully this next year is good🙏

Interesting. What you don't like about Singu, Chucky and Unknown?

  • He needs some serious buffs first in base kit.

    Better a rework tho.

If you have comments, then just quote and ask ;)

I wonder why you don't like Dredge, Sadako and Xeno.

You dislike to VS ghostface, is it at least somewhat thanks to how bad his reveal mechanic works?

Why do you dislike Sadako and Freddy?

Dislike playing against Michael and nemmy but dull merchant and chucky is fun?? Wow okay

Mikeal comes to you from your fed fellow SoloQ memeber to insta mori you because he has 0 terror radius and tombstone. Huraa fun!

    bro what

SM, Chucky, Twins and Trickster. How

Tbf I think Twins would be lower if they would be played more than 0.03% players at any given time. You have one Twins in like 100+ games so it is like Christmass holiday to see them.

  • @D0NN1ED4RK0 said:

why is pyramid head this low 😭

Others playing him be like: "Me go tunnel, you go cage, me find you again, me hook you now again, die thanks!"

Me playing him: "Bro what is this camera movement...", "Man this feels so stiff and clunky and slow....".

There is exactly one killer that I refuse to play without addons.

Bubba without Chili is horrible. Nothing ever works.

Your tier colours are gnarly in these lists.

    Some interesting takes:

    • Singularity is odd given your avatar... I find them more fun to play. Finding nice high walls to PoD and then successfully chasing a survivor into that PoD for a goop has a Trapper like satisfying effect.
    • Pig because I'm biased 😏
    • Huntress annd Pyramid Head is an odd pair at the bottom to play against.
    • Also double F tier Pyramid Head, Hag and Myers 😳 Hag I kinda get abuse she is very unique, and can be rather oppessively camp orientated… Myers is weak, so I get that, even though I find him fun enough to not care either way. Pyramid Head though? Why the hate my guy? 🥺
    • Cheeky Skull Merchant I see... 😏 you’ll ruffle some feathers either that... tbf I actually do have fun against her and as her when people actually play. I guess if she hard counters what you want to do I can see the hate, but as someone who hasn't got a set idea what each killer should be... she seems fine to me.

Thanks for nice comment! :3 The colors are there because each tierlist talks about something else so its bit easier to not bland themselfs next to each other.

    • Singularity is very unique killer and I rly like Singu but he is difficult and I need to have a mood for him. His counterplay feels pretty bad when Survivors use EMPs well and offten. Its like you have to tryhard with him and they just "haha hold M2 and bye power".
    • Pig can be fun when you run that two add-ons that makes your dash useable (the base kit buffs aren't enough for me).
    • Huntress is a weird pick for me, because I have nothing agains her, even after they buffed her (I am glad they did). But playing againts her is just kinda boring. The power is super simple and nothing interesting for me as Survivor going on againts her.
    • Pyramid Head is just king of tunneling and 80% of them I have faced will play the exact same way: torment someone —> tunnel them out ASAP and proxi camp / find fast cages to tunnel.
    • When it comes to F tier as to play as: Hag is just slow, small and only viable if you camp area of a map, not my style. If you don't have set up you are worse M1 killer that can't chase. Mikeal is only fun when you run OP addons on him, otherwise he is boring and weak (that's why also he is bad to go againts, he is either weak and boring or OP and kills someone with mori in 5 min because someone fed him early on). Pyramid Head is so clunky and the power to use feels so slow and animation where he shakes his camere while holding the sword is annoying to me.
    • SM I just like on both sides. She is simple but I like her. Ofc I dislike Gen Merchants (even some still try this to this date for some reason), when she plays for chases she can be pretty exciting. I like her haste, info and area denier.

Yea, be carefull around here. Mr_K knows this place and you should know your place! /s

How the heck do you not enjoy fighting Nemesis?

    • Zombies are RNG and can be annoying. You are trying to finish gen and suddenly zombie lady comes to visit you and refusese to go away until you drop a pallet on her. Also getting hit because zombie is just behind corner a wall standing without a sound warning mid chase is very fun! /s
    • Nemesis players usualy like to tunnel the hell out of anyone they catches first.
    • His power is just pre-drop pallet or get hit and hold W.
  • I just wish we can skip quickly pass this mid chapter because its nothing exciting in it.

  • Surge.

Like its okay for M1 Killers but its very map dependent and bit RNG on where you down a Survivor and even when it triggers its nothing huge anyway.

  • @fussy said:

    Easily worst update in years.

Not worst but so empty. For mid chapters where there is usualy no new content = more time for changes, this is quite dissapointing.

Like all we got is very few perk changes and Twins QoL buff and Blight prob nerf. And Haddofield small rework. Nothing exciting or super big.

  • @Withered8 said:

Hahahah don't you dare hold that remnant at my hook.

On a serious note though, where would you place dredge?

He is kinda weak. Not horrible, not the worst killer mind you, but weak againts any decent Survivor team and you rely on locker spawn and good addons.

For me he is High C tier (I have S,A,B,C,D).

  • The good about Twins changes: they reverted all this horrible changes that shoudn't pass even to PTB. Would take one testing match to see this is not way to go.

The sad about Twins changes: It took 2 years to do small QoL update.

  • Pyramid Head feels awfull to use power with in chase, so clunky.

Deathslinger feels good when you hit someone when they are hard to hit (like small opening on a big object or loop).

  • Well I will play devils advocate here.

Whenever I play fun/random builds, survivors don't usualy care or are even angry sometimes you play something off meta that is not "fun/fair" for them (Lightborn, Franklins, Mad Grip, etc.). Also the game is overall harder and Survivors will not care if you are playing nice or playing meta for the most part, there are lot of lame winners who will tbag you at exits even when you are doing them favor.

There are many Survivors and most of them also run meta. So the Killer should not play their best as well? Also what kind of perks should killer run then?

For example, I loved STBF but it got nuked and now its unplayable on majority of killers and on the ones few is maximum of "okay" perk at best. So this pushes people playing into more classic slowdown perks. You play NOED and people hate you for it, so again, you pick standart slowdowns because what else.

  • Its like half the perks on each side tbf.

  • image.png

Also I have idea if depending on which Killer you pick (strong having no extra and weak having +2) you would get extra points but these would not go beyond 15 points.

To incurage and not punish playing weaking killers.

  • @Devil_hit11 said:

otz rates her highly because iri seal+devotee amulet. 60 second of corrupt purge 5 times per match with deadlock is strong.

Oh yea in that case I can see her being strong.

But I am talking about not running her best addons.

I am strugguling with her even running like Apple addons which are considered pretty nice. Survivors in my games don't care about being injured, they will loop you to Oblivion unless you get your power in chase and that is limited and they can also juke it offten or hide behind objects.

Also I hate how you hit them with your power, they even do their scream or cough sound "ehh ehh!" and nothing happends like what the hell.

  • Freddy is the only one and only who needs full rework.

  • MMR in this game tells you pretty much nothing about skill.

Nothing metters other than how many kills you got and how many escaped. Its pointless to care about it because it doesnt count any context or important facts that play each match. Killer ablity, killer addons, Survivor items, Survivor addons, power level of perks on each side, map, map size, map RNG, how gen speed was, if killer tunneled or camped, if someone gave up or guit, etc.

Old Emblem system was MUCH better but still far from perfect.

  • No, at least not without some heavy rule restrictions which are allready present in for example DbDLegue (prob the most famous competetive DbD org).

You have to limit the map pool, you have to ban like 1/3+ of perks on each side, you have to ban some add-ons or maps/etc. for each specific killer. Some weak killers need more bans on survivors to make them at least playable, etc.

Its like self-locked world that you have to build, a cube if you will to make it somewhat work with 100+ rules and bans.

  • @ReverseVelocity said:

I think he needs buffs, I agree with all of these except the movement speed when charging and the locked locker duration ones.

Increasing the movement speed while charging would make it kind of obnoxious at zoning, which is already the least fun part about Dredge.

I don't think a full second should be shaved off of the locked locker exit duration, maybe 0.5s though. Locking a locker needs to be meaningful.

Haddie Calendar (yellow add-on) allready gives you -1 sec to open lockers and its one of his most popular add-ons for a good reason. Lockers would be still meaningfull to lock, also for Survivors it cost like 1-2 sec to lock them so their time invesment is very tiny and it hinders more the killer than the survivor.

With the Remnant change, this is for him to feel better in chase and have a better chance to deal with more bigger loops. His zoning wouldn't be much worse since the counterplay and gameplay is the same, it would all just happend bit faster.

  • I stopped reading after "4.4 m/s".

Just no. I don't want old slow Trickster, you can keep that one in the past, thanks.

  • WIthout addon pictures and seeing the current version I can't judge these.

  • @VomitMommy said:

It's funny how Deathslinger pick rate increased and I am pretty sure, it is mostly for that Iron Maiden skin.

Nope. Most (casual) people won't drop 15$ for skin and suddenly play lot Deathslinger.

Its because of the Tome Challenges. As always with every Tome that features a killer(s) they will rise in pickrate. Always. Then they will drop down to their avarage after the Tome ends and new begins. Its boosted number in a way.

  • What's up with the sudden rise of ideas to punish killers for winning or being in a good spot?

  • DH doesnt need any buffs, including small ones.

  • Pretty good changes. Prob not all of them at once but most of them would be pretty good. Maybe the last 2 would be bit too much.

  • @Neaxolotl said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3700019#Comment_3700019

That's impossible, you can't make individual players good no matter how you try

    • Show Survivor perks in loading screen for each other.
    • Remove the bubble after Survivor gets hooked to obscure the Killer position.
    • Kindred base kit (only see Killer and Survivor within 16 meter range).
    • Survivor can't try to suicide on hook in 1st stage of hook (still can use perks that let you self unhook)

Just to name a few key ones. With these I am 100% sure the % escape rate would increase a bit and overall soloQ experience would be very improved.

However this will never happend. Devs hate Kindred base kit for some very odd reason lmao.

  • Then killers would be force to slug and find the final Survivor. This would punish the killer for playing well or when Survivors trowing the game.

  • NOED in a meta where Adrenaline is used by minimum of ~2 Survivors is no shock.

Also if someone runs end-game build and don't have much slowdown, its pretty fair. That slowdown would be prob better anyway than NOED.

  • Only buff Survivors really need is to make SoloQ more playable.

  • Can you… help me…. lift this??

    Is this… your… yours?

  • I am always using Lightborn these days when I play Killer because all these flashlight buffs (flashbangs, no counter in wall, background player being busted, extra window for ezi miss timing, etc.) make it just unfair at this point.
