Ah here we go again. You do not understand the purpose of EGC at all.

That would make any sense, if this game wasn't asymmetrical. In your "50/50" case, the killer draw because he did a 2K, two survivors won as survivors win by escaping by themselves, and two other survivor lost because they died.
There is not 50/50 in this game, as survivors are not a team and if you die and your other three teammates get out, you have lost anyway. And you can't compare if your opponents are "equal" because they are not equal by design. Not their gameplay, not the skill needed to play them, nothing. You are either good at looping the killer and better at mindgames than him, or you are not.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3698941#Comment_3698941
But that's a survivor problem, not a killer one. It's not the killer's fault if your teammates don't have enough game sense to make the right decision at the right time.
It doesnt matter if its an asymmetrical design or not. Assuming that equal skill doesnt exist is ignorant on a fundamental level. Also it doesnt matter if theyre equal or not by design, cause the game itself sets them on an equal stage: The one is as powerful as the four summed up as a team. Survivors are not solo players.

i disagree its entitlement, i would say this is survivor entitlement because u accept that it should work even when kissing a wall and still stunning the killer. thats the debate here. not out in the open. i did the correct play.
You did not do the right choice. Its not a flashlight. Its a flashbang. Entirely different technical situation. And you show again that you do not understand this. And you disagreeing does not make it any more right.
-
@YamamuraVideoRentals said:
The one thing that is absolutely true is that flashbangs shouldn't function through walls.
They technically do not function through walls.

its too easy to save, 3 seconds is too long, and if killers look at wall, they still get u with a flashbang, so whats the counterplay there? run lightborn? cmon.
Yeah, so if you have issues use Lightborn. Thats exactly whats this perk is meant for. Or use some aura read to scout the area (infectious, Darknes revealed or whatever). Like, if you do not want to adapt to a situation thats entirely avoidable by preparing for it in before, its just another case of killer entitlement.

How long is a long time? Being able to blind a killer facing a wall with a flashbang came around Chucky update.
Yeah, so this would be 6 month ago. And nothing was changed about flashbang, at least not officially. And it was never approved to be a bug, was it?
-
IF it would be completely impossible to avoid a flashbang, devs would have killswitched it long time ago. Also its quite amusing that people just now start complaining about something that hasnt changed in a long time. Also we have a great example of killer doublestandards here: while killers shouldnt run perks to counter other perks, its fine if survivors even have to run perks to counter basic gameplay.
And how many skill issue threads do you plan to open? Its like the third in a single day.
-
Or you just learn how to play against flashlights. Such claims are just showing youre dont know how to play vs flashlights nor you understand how impossible saves would be with such changes.
-

so ur saying i should shoot for 2 kills every match, doesnt sound like a win to me unless the game would say victory like 2 kills and 10 hooks as a win, what do u play and hours?
If you play vs equal opponents it needs to be a 50:50 game. Thats how balanced gameplay would work. Expecting to get 4ks at this level is just entitlement. That only works if youre far superior to your opponents. And to your quastion, I have several hours more than you and I am only playing Trapper (or Nurse if i want challenges easily done in single games).
It seems to be a skill issue on your end.
-
Was bound to happen sooner than later.
-
So then you have basically no understand of how to play killer properly. Cause it should be difficult to play vs good survivors, and not this free 4ks with stacked dlowdown on tunneling killers.
-
Would be pretty dumb. Why should survivors not be able to tank for their mates?
-
@Commander_Nefarious said:
survivors just complain about tunneling and slugging and camping and noed but dont realize its difficult to play killer. managing time, perks, choosing chases. its only 1 person vs 4.
survivors have each other to rely on but the killer is all alone, and have to be ur own ally
For how long do you play Dbd?
-
@Neaxolotl said:
You can literally look the projectile and dodge it past certain distance
If the killer does bad, yeah. Otherwise you get hit for sure.

So then the rubberbanding on PTB tells me dbd isnt suited for this engine.

When was he Killer biased in a unreasonable manner recently then?
I dont watch him anymore since he got killer biased, so i couldnt care less. But from reading about this idea i can tell he is stll unreasonable and killer biased. He once was a trusted player, but he ruined it all.

I'm guessing you don't even watch Tru3's content. His ideas are never biased to a side. They're constructive and aimed at game health. Obviously not every idea is a gold mine since he never usually fleshes out his ideas; but his endgame is a hell of a lot healthier than the current one. If I'm correct, Tru3's endgame also respawns in pallets that have been used in the trial.
Never biased. That was the case years ago, then he made a full turn towards being killer biased and being hardly unreasonable.

@bjorksnas said:
Why does it seem like every other post here recently about toxicity, or whats wrong with dbd, or what the devs should buff / nerf / change next is posted by a new account as their first post.
Half the time they don't even come back to respond to the comments its like someone on some other platform god mad enough they came here to make it seem more of a widespread problem or someone keeps making alts for some reason.
Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me
Its not a new phenomenon. For years -especially killer biased- players did make alternate accounts to upvote specific toppings or repeat them week after week.
-
Yeah, how about no? Not surprising that something this killer-biased is coming from True to begin with. Its completely flawed.

It does it's job. It's not supposed to make tunneling impossible, it's supposed to make it much more costly for the killer, of which it does.
High mmr and comp players don't run this perk because it's bad, there's a reason.
Here we go again. Ive never seen many "probably" high-mmr players running DS. Also you cannot argue with some player playing by their own made up rules. DS ist not a good perk. Thats been common sense for years now. It ddidnt do anything and it wont do anything useful. Most killer can olay easily against those measly seconds of a stun.

Removing techs will only make the game more "flat" and it will lower significantly the skill ceiling.
So the skill ceiling is using something thats not intended to gain unfair advantages? IThose are total one-sided mechanics, that just shouldnt existz. Stop defensing something thats not defendable.
-
@haktas said:
Other exhaust perks giving 150% speed boost for 3 seconds but this perk giving 200% for 5 seconds.
Why did you buff this? Swfs abusing this perk with flashlights, flashbangs, sabotages and ftp+bu
Its not an abuse, its the only wanted synergy.
-
You dont have to be deaf to not hear the hatch. If youre in chase with several killers their chasemusic is so damn loud you cant hear anything else.
-
@Blueberry said:
You're downplaying a perk that will be in the top 10 used perks now and meta every game. The perk is very, very good.
If you have the game sense of a newbie, thats right. Otherwise you know It will be still not doing the job.
-
Whats even intereseting in having to face something thats plainly unfair? Unintended techs just make the game more miserable. Thats it.
-
So you can still be productive even though running a head-on build. Killers are a different matter, they cry about everything. I had a wesker some days ago, not doing well by loosing three gens without many hooks. Getting one head-on from behind while not in a chase, running after me for like 5s than going afk. In endgame he complained about how toxic I am and that I make the game terrible for him and wishes me dull merchants. While i played head-on, bond, quick n quiet and lucky star. And to be honest in all those years i repreatedly saw killer complaining about head-ons (no bully squads). that already comical.

What? DS is comfortably meta at the moment. It's an S tier perk already, so that's why it's strange to see it getting buffs
DS was kinda meta pre-nerf, but still sucked at doing what it should do. atm its far away from meta.

Pluto tech is when you trap/bodyblock/pinch blight on his first rush, not allowing him any collision and forcing him into fatigue.

good survivors knows that it is still a great perk … stoped reading there, cause thats obviously wrong.
-
Another survivor perk kill. Pretty good job so far. Its always the same. Survivor perks get changed and completely destroyed for casual gameplay. and the most sad thing: this was to be expected from most. Devs just show again lacking insight.
-
Cause it would be completely against any logic. Easiest situation to understand how stupid this is: you get unhooked and get healed with WWMI immediately. As soon as killer is back you get hit, lost your DS and get tunneled to death.
-
@Man_of_triangles said:
It's mandatory on the weaker killers. Definitely really frustrating to see it on something like a Blight.
Its definitely not mandatory.

For what reason?
-
If there is no understanding it doesnt even matter if you play the game.

Bhvr chaning a meta survivor perk always mean it gets trashed. History repeats itself always.

Tunneling sucks, but its hard to change the game to prevent tunneling without it being abused. This is kinda a band-aid to tunneling, giving everyone an anti tunnel perk without the need for outside DLCs
Bad excuse. Noone ever even tried t fix it properly, though several ideas were given. And band-aid-fixing anything is always a bad idea, and has never work properly too.
-
Hopefully they dont make another anti-tunneling perk. it means tunneling is still a thing and you have to waste a slot.
-
I havent seen a single game where survivors got as much points as those unless they were farming the entire game. Looks fake.

How could the community be responsible for a really poorly developed SBMMR system? Nobody in this community ever asked for a detrimental kill/escape based matchmaking. Instead the community explained several times that this system lacks everything it needs to be used for matchmaking. As killer it is by far too easy to get an mmr that doesnt match your real skill level due to how handholding this game is towards killer players. On the other side, survivors could only get a higher mmr if they played regularly on a equal skilled 4-man, otherwise it matches you with people that barely understand how to walk. And if youre not in such an swf youre stuck with low skilled teammates getting trashed in most games, leading you to be stuck in low-mmr, cause devs never even considered mmr-resets. The funny thing is: the only reliable balance indicator is acutally those 1% high mmr matches, cause thats the only games with equal skill level through all players in the match. the other 99% is always a gamble of skill for each player.
The old emblem system just needed some tweaks. It had everything to analyse how skilled people actually were. Thats why games one week after rank reset were the most fair games to be played in entire dbd history.
Devs are completely at fault and lack the will to change it. And the game is in its worst balance state than ever. And mmr is one of the biggest factors in that, cause how do you even balance a game that has no skill-balance in matchmaking?

Yep there absolutly should be a bleed out button and a throw them out button. Letting survs bleed out for fun is vile and no one can defend it.
I hate that the most common answer to killers is that they should push them out. That's the one thing they want you to do and the sole reason why they stick around So thanks for acknowledging that both is stupid
So you deliberetely waste your own time for not giving the survivor a brief moment of attention? Couldnt be more unreasonable.

Keep in mind this is a party game. And even Cote said they want the killer to feel like this powerful force to be rekon with. It's also why in a recent interview he was fine with nurse being this OP killer that's very fast at getting downs when played well. It puts the survivors in a horror setting where the pressure gets very high. But they seem to be fine with their 60/40 win split I guess. Although I wish they could do better at making the experience better on both sides
People still dont understand the difference of horror and unfairness.

Tunneling has always been considered an issue. It's why basekit BT was added, because killers just downing survivors immediately off hook was a problem.
Though I have to question why you are on a discussion board if you have no interest in actually discussing anything and immediately dismissive of anything you don't agree with.
Basekit BT came into the game 2022, but surely you can tell me how thats related to 6 years ago. Just accept you have no arguments. I dont need to discuss if someone has no arguments.

Tunneling has always existed in DBD and likewise people have always complained about it.
Post from 2018
https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/a9my7k/why_is_tunneling_bad/
Just because someone complained about it 6 years ago doesnt mean it was an issue. Its basically a selfullfilling prophecy by now. Someone started it and others followed it by being as unreasonable as the ones before. You just dig a hole for yourself even deeper. Just stop pretending tunneling is anything worth for this game to be played. You have no arguments.
-
@Crowman said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3681249#Comment_3681249
Tunneling is simply a result of the game being an elimination game. If killers are unable to eliminate survivors then you would have to change the entire game to focus on killers endlessly hooking survivors and survivors endlessly completing generators. No more escapes and no more kills.
That would mean tunneling has been a issue since the beginning, but it hasnt. Again no argument. The rest doesnt make sense at all. Just saying something for no reason.
-
@Crowman said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3680676#Comment_3680676
The killer's role is to eliminate survivors from the match. If you want to make it harder for killers to complete their objective, then they need better tools to defend gens. However, those tools have already seen nerfs because survivors also don't like it when killers focus on defending gens either.
The problem is many people just want to nerf everything killers can do to generate pressure which will only leave the killer role into a spot where it's no fun to play. Tunneling is extremely common nowadays, because a lot of alternatives have already been nerfed.
The problem is that people like you are still trying to defend tunneling and this regression meta while having zero arguments. The only thing you repeat is "it is needed" and "winning is the only fun". Tunneling is common cause it is the cheapest way to win consistently without needing much skill. Dozens of things have changed in favor of killers on a noticeable level. Zero arguments!
-
@Crowman said:
Always about the "survivor fun", but no one everyone wants to address that killers need to enjoy the game too. If you want to heavily nerf the killer's ability to eliminate survivors then killers are going to need to be stronger in defending gens.
So killer fun is winning? Cause thats what you make it look like. Buff arent necessary needed as well as tunneling isnt necessary to have fun games nor winnable games.
-
Thats called skill issue.
-
Devs never even tried to solve camping at all. They were baited into the thought that facecamping was such a big deal that they completely forget that proxy-camping always was the real deal. What did anti-facecamp even change? those who did it just now know how far away they have to stay to ignore the mechanic entirely and still can easily force a instant trade at least.
