Show SWF and prestiges post-game. Give a BP bonus to killers who faced a three-man or four-man. Grant the solo surv with a three-man a bonus as well. That's what I'd like to see done.
Lobby shopping and the resultant backfilling is the single biggest problem with their matchmaking system. We shouldn't be suggesting changes that will worsen that issue.
Why should killer get bp bonus against swf? Like, most of those swf dont play better than four solos. Stop guessing swf equal godmode.
-
That would be a total overkill. His gameplay is already one of the worst to face.
-
The killer looks lame, the power seems annoying, the perks are meh, the survivor is niche, her perks are trash, just the map looks nice. Killers get partly unreasonable buffs survivor get nothing.
Does not seem to be anything to be happy about as survivor.
-
The thing is, just because they ask about something it doesn't mean they do what is needed nor they would do anything at all. You see that regularly during PTBs. Look at invocation. 10 people said to make it like BNP, 30 said even thats not enough. What happened? They made it like BNP BUT even reduced charges. Surveys are even worse than that.
As someone whos work is about dealing with feedback regularly, its really annoying to see how they handle feedback here.

Because survivors were God mode without any skill needed for 5-6 years and only now that has changed. Who wants to be in an equal environment when he grew up literally in luxury all his life? Who wants killers that you can't outrun by predropping 20+ pallets, when such sweet m1 killers exist?
You obviously didnt play the game the last 5-6 years otherwise you wouldnt make such a false statement.

Completely unreasonable take.

i have a 50 - 60 second chase and 2 gens pop. 3 gens left with 1 hook. if i play nice its clearly a foolish choice, so in order to win i have totunnel, and survivors act like i committed this great sin, killer is literally against time. and if i chase someone else they flashlight rescue them, obviously the survivors feel great on pulling off a save but the killer is way behind schedule and becomes frustrated for being robbed. so why cant survivors ingrain that into their heads?
they say the tunneled survivor doesnt play, what does that mean? theyre running from the killer and clearly playing.as opposed to what? doing a gen? the generators need a rework because holding m2 is also boring, id say you have to look for parts scattered around the map in order to repair the gens such as gears , gasoline, etc, and reduce the time for gens, that would at least gives killers more time and spot survivors more often. but streamers shouldnt publicly shame killer players for tunneling, because even they do it too.
Thats definitely a skill issue on your end in several ways. First youre under the misconception that losing 2 gens in your first chase is a gameover without tunneling. Its safe not, as long as you have at least average gamesense and dont have to play vs better players. Second, if you get flasglighted often, its a skill issue on your end. Its preventable in several ways. Third its obvious youre biased as you said a killer is "robbed by a flashlight save", but he is just punished for playing poorly in this regard.
And if you think a survivor has much gameplay from being tunnled, what is it? running for another 10s to get downed again, hooked again and probably even proxy-camped too? Great gameplay there.

Matchmaking....just because I did good one match doesn't mean I'm going to do go the next so how about oh I don't know raise my matchmaking a tiny bit not a lot.
You still dont understand how mmr works.
-
Its still a noobtrap. Getting a chapter with two noobtraps and a masterpiece of a situational perk. Great job again.
-
Still a noobtrap. Devs just showed again that they have no clue whats good or bad in their game. Like, do they really thought they can fool everyone?
-
Clearly no sense for good perks. Head-On is the best exhaustion perk. No other perk can help to prevent hooks as good as head-on.

Yes, but they will loose more often. What do you think about the rest of my posting?
They wont lose more often. 5s ist still nothing to fear. We learned that already. So there is no need to think about killers being compensated for something that doesnt even matter to them.
-
Bring Bamboozle. Easy fix. But to be honest, thats why nobody is taking you serious.
-
It happens the same as before: killers will tunnel through DS. Thats what happens if you try to bandaid fix bad gamedesign with perks.
-
You have my blessing. Regression actually just makes bad players feeling powerful to an extent they think theyre good players. And games are just abyssmal to play.

A competitive game where similar sized teams face each other, should have 50/50.
This isn´t applyable to DbD though. Since its 1vs4, a traditional 1vs1 will always be unbalanced.
It doesnt matter at all if you play 1vs4 3vs2 oder 11vs11. Every competitive game has to have an equal chance on "winning" the game. Thats what 50:50 balance is about. What the game is actually doing is a killer fantasy where the survivor side not supposed to have an equal chance. If you think this is fair, you should really work on your sense of fairness.
-
The perk cannot be nerfed unless you want the perk to be never used again. The design itself is just stupid and should just never exist.

Probably not but it will need to be addressed and then we'll have some people claim that all survivor perks just get nerfed.
This can definitely not stay though.
That never happens on survivor side. Exploit fixes only get hated on killer side.

If you cant understand what I mean I give up lol, this is abysmally simple to understand. I use game sense to guess where survivors are, YOU use game sense to guess which pallets are used. I cant make it any more simple than that lol.
You simply dont understand that as killer you have some kind of knowledge to rely on when guessing. As survivor you have nothing. Its just a gamble. Simple as that.
-
What does this have to do with CoL?

You aren't supposed to know which pallets are gone lol, what did people do before kates perks? Just like mi not supposed to know where survivors are. The perks fundamentally change that, but that's not the standard.
Thats now what game sense is, so your point is moot. Game sense is using intuition to make a best guess which pallets are gone not to KNOW which ones are gone. Just like if a survivor is unhooked by a gen and they don't heal I can make the deduction that they are doubling that gen. If that makes sense. So WoO showing you where everything is at removes all the skill from you having to remember which pallets were dropped or which ones are broke or which ones your mates gave up.
You said i need gamesense to know. Now you say i am not supposed to know. Your statemant makes just no sense. Also as killer with enough gamesense you can make guesses where survivors are. Its a totally different initial situation. You cannot do this as survivor, that would be just gambling. I cannot remember dopped pallets i dont even know that theyre dropped by someone else.
-
How can anyone say that surv is a good experience unless theyre extraordinary lucky with all the rng? Survs got half their roster trashed, killers got their roster buffed, they got free regression kicks, map reworks had all deadzones and overall stupid gen spawn. several tiles got trashed. matchmaking is beyond abyssmal. killer strategies are worse than ever. Did i forget anything? Survivor gameplay is in the worst spot it has ever been. And devs just show again and again how clueless they are in regards of anything.
-
@HexHuntressThighs said:

You can use game sense to know what pallets are used lol. Just like I can to know generally where survivors are. If you see a fellow survivor loopin on one side of the map and see that they’ve been on a 3 minute chase, game sense should tell you that the pallets in that area are most likely. If WoO isn’t game sense as a perk than neither is any aura read perk from killers.
So tell me exactly how i can know what pallets are gone?
-
First, the thing is stacking slowdowns for easy wins. Its pathetic. Its if survs would be able to stack four exhaustion perks. Second, why even would we need to balance gens? If killers would learn how to utilize their powers properly and use other perks, that would be benefit enough to them. But devs just make it more and more unskilled to play killer.
-

I run 4 aura read perks on Huntress and often survivors in EGC say I’m crutching on those perks, I need to learn game sense and that I’m bad for using them. But literally those same people are using Windows of OP! How is this not the same? Isn’t Window of OP literally game sense as a perk? Am I wrong?
How exactly is it game sense if you cant know whrere youre mates used up the pallets?

i faced a sabo squad so i couldnt hook. i slug and they have unbreakable, then when they get picked up , buckleup. then heal up and activate bloodpact. they knew my every move because of wiretap, then knew where my noed was. i managed to bleed one out and one got away because of buckle up and the other one i was chasing was given the hatch. and to top it all off, i got a entity displeased. what a f@%#%^# terrible experience. now i dont care if survivors get mad over camping and tunneling because survivors can be just as evil and dont give u a break, so neither should you.
Thats nothing to do with high mmr.

You can't remove tunneling in the current format without either some major buffs to some killers/perks or nerfs to maps. Like it is so cool when I decide to play an m1 and I get Iron Works 2 with 3 i pallet loops that are just unmindgameable.
You can. Buts devs are to scared to do this.
-
i also dont see the great deal on doing a p100. Ive all my survs at least on p12. Some on p23 for the lols. Alan just at 9 but probably on it before new skins ... ehm survs drop. But i guess i am bad player if i have no p100 character, right?
-
Still people defending tunneling without any reasoning in 2024. Sigh.
-
So just because someone is using a perk it means that the perk is OP? Fogwise OP i guess. Sigh.

Because survivors aren’t healing, they aren’t lighting boons, and they aren’t cleansing hexes. They’re focused on completing gens fast because killers are trying to turn matches into 3v1s quickly, which also makes sense.
So basically for each are killers at fault. Crying that survivors actually did heal was OP, Boons were OP. Just hexes were never much of a deal at all. Old ruin just got powered through. So nothing really changed, just that killers got buffed, survivors got nerfed and killer strategies are worse than ever, cause devs are ignorant on that matter for whatever reason.
-
How could the games have become faster as gentimes got increased and we have the worst possible regression meta?

Its entirely possible to have a 60% kill rate but a 50% win rate. Its what happens when you have 5 possible outcomes split into 3 different brackets, with a 40/20/40 L/D/W split. As long as their kill target is between 51 and 74 it is technically between a 2K and 3K average, it being 60 instead of 62.5 means that they want it closer to the 2K than the 3K (but still higher than a 2K average.)
The entire system is thrown off by the existance of draws for both sides causing the outcomes to become odd numbers. Not only that, but due to the lack of team outcome for survivors, it is not inherently a zero sum game. You can lose because you die but the killer can also lose because you were their only kill.
Winrate doesnt matter.
-
There wont by any surv that thinks being unfavored is a good idea. And there is absolutely no reasoning to have any average besides 50:50.
-
In fact the mechanic is much more favoring the killer. Still its stupid on both sides.

Don’t forget they literally just had a Survivor Mid Chapter with Alan Wake and a very strong perk. But I guess they won’t be happy until they get a new broken perk like MFT that rewards them for getting injured or a new CoH that lets them reset as much as they want.
Are you referring to CoL? A week after release literally noone is playing that perk anymore. But sure its a strong perk. Sigh.

Greatest fake change since 3gen-fake and people are relly crying about it?

they nerf sbfl/ they make sadako trash tier killer (and soon Pig join her) they killed mangled/3-gen strategy/camping/the most good killer perks (survivor perks only being buff for almost 5 years). Survivors already escape in 80% times maybe they should staft buff the killers again (and not nerf just like Pig again) so what do you think?
Kinda sad how you can write soo much wrong stuff with so such less words.
-
bvhr will never change anything regarding mmr as they would have to admit that they were totally clueless.
-
Just every blue moon survivors may get something. Its fine dealing with some killers for buffs, but it always has to be clear on why that aspect got buffed. Like, I cant udnerstand why Clown nor Huntress get more ressources. Its already hard enough to dodge/outplay the killers into reloading, which takes actual skill or a bad killer. Now those survs with skill get it right into their face. Looping a killer for too long is obviously hated by the devs. Who cares for skillful surv play? Just let them day on sight. Everything fine for killers.

The meme has to carry on.

That's a very pessimistic take considering they addressed recently :
- Face camp.
- Trigen strats.
I don't see why tunneling wouldn't get any basekit mechanic counter in the future in that regard.
But even as a survivors main I vehemently stand against an anti-tunnel mechanic that works all trial long (should only work early game) without the introduction of a gen slowdown mechanic basekit.
Asking for an all game long anti-tunnel mechanic only is asking for a murder of the killer main experience.
Yes I make it sounds dramatic, but I don't want to imagine how bad the low/mid tier killers experience against the sweatiest SWF and even good solo Q survivors would be.
Anti-Facecamp just increased proxy-camping ecen more. Also it is exploitable by killers when they "fixed" it to be not "exploitable" for survivors.
Anti-3Gens just shortened 3-gen situations by some amount if the killer doesnt know what to do. didnt fix 3-gen cause at all.
Both are just band-aids and do not fix anything at the root. Thats all bvhr ever did, band-aid fixing and ruining the gameplay with their perk overhaul. You dont make it sound dramatic, you tell us something that wont ever happen, just to pretend drama.

This is only the meta because it’s necessary
Not at all.
-
Making survivor immune is the only way to prevent tunneling. But bhvr will never add something that would benefit the gameplay overall. Instead trash surivor perks again and make regression meta even worth. thats the way of bhvr for years now.
-
Its just slightly better than before. Still the designs are mostly really awful.

When Sloppy Butcher gets nerfed, killers will have no good general perks. Unless you want to count NOED.
How much time does Mangled add to a heal, again? 4 seconds?
Nerfing Sloppy/Mangled is something thats inevitable.

I’ve been playing this game since 2018 and have close to 5000 hours total. I recently returned after break, and man has the fun been sucked out.
It doesn’t matter if your chases are short. Unless you pick a section of the map to defend right at the beginning, you are going to lose if they decide to do the gens. Then there’s the killers. I tried xeno for the first time and it was an awful experience. A large chunk of its power is controlled by survivors and the tail requires pinpoint precision, meanwhile survivors get to plop down a turret whenever they feel like it. On top of that, a huge amount of loops don’t even let you use the power because they are too high.
This game’s problem is the same that it has always been: survivors have too many resources and second chances, on top of chained tiles and safe pallets. I legitimately don’t understand how anyone says that killer is easy. It was significantly easier when I started playing because even though survivors had major dirt, killer stuff could at least come close to matching it. Now every killer has been neutered to oblivion in the name of survivor fun.
This game needs to be balanced as a 1v4. Individual survivors hold far too much power for most killers to handle. It feels damn near impossible to win with certain killers and rng spawns.
Thats comedy, right? RIGHT?

I have to disagree.
So how did they try to fix anything? And dont come up with band-aid fixes. Thats the best proof they never tried, cause otherwise they would have looked for solutions and not band-aids. Its just fake attempts.

I think BHVR has done everything they can to reduce camping/tunneling/slugging. There comes a time where we need to accept the fact that players are gonna play however they want to play no matter how we feel about it.
They never even tried.
