That's kind of a normal game? 2 or 3 Gen pops by first down is a given on most games, but you can still turn things around. I mean if 2 survivors can butt dance around the killer and stall the remaining of the game without dying in the process, then by all accounts blame mmr or maybe you just been doing good and need to drop some points, but I would hardly call this bully squad. It's actually a very efficient gameplay, which admittedly, is hard to beat
-
The same. Most flat-screen TVs that aren't 20 years old have sufficiently comprehensive brightness, contrast and saturation options to come close to what you can achieve on pc.
The same observation still applies. You won't be able to see any farther no matter what you do. But the strain on your eyes should lower. If your TV has and HDR mode, that is ideal as it can adjust your image when nightfall comes, then put everything back to how it was when it's over, so you don't end with weird image the rest of the game.
-
How's a Gen rush bully squad exactly?
-
Filters can make things less dark. That won't really help you see farther though, because during darkness everything outside a certain radius is simply obscured.
-
Unconcerned. I don't think it will affect me that much.

You can search my name on Twitter for alot of more, but its mostly YuiRin ship arts : D
I have 2 main styles, painting & sketchy, I use sketchy for DBD memes
Aww. Would love to see some funny wraith art on your style. I really like it.

I have alot lot lot of Artist drawings, because I use her to express myself : D
Do you have a gallery or something? Would love to see your work more.
-
I would actually like this, despite being out of character with DBD.
Definitely would spend money for the wraith skin.
-
Actually yes. Every match someone has bad connection. Sometimes it's even me. But I don't think the problem is actually my internet connection.
-
I think in general is harder for killer to express toxicity in a game given their tools, than it is for survivors. It's possible, sure, but to go as far to say that the killer's collective hive mind's toxicity is "through the roof" is a bit much.
Most of the toxicity in both sides is actually, typically shown in the end game chat. Easily avoided.
However you seem to consider a lot of things to be toxic or scummy, when they are actually not.
Sure, camping, tunneling and hatch camping aren't exactly classy, but they are all legitimate strategies to a varying degree of success.
BTW, you might not know this, but hatch camping serves to prevent the survivors from escaping the match through the gates, so as to ensure a 4k. Why would the killer want that is anybody's guess, but it's certainly not toxic.
-
I like this kind of posts where people assume killer mains are assimilated into the hive mind collective.
I did not camp before, nor do I do it now. Those who used to camp are likely inclined to do so now as well.
It all boils down to motivation and what works best for you.
-
Must be something she ate....
-
When someone DCs I just can't kill the others anymore.... So yeah, don't do it xD.
-
Maybe he likes playing villain? You guys are overthinking things.
-
Freddy. I really like the character. He is so evil and his theme is so eerie, but damn, playing with him is just so hard that even a chill player like me can't seem to enjoy him.
-
Would definitely buy a Dr evil and mini me skins for them.
-
I finally figured out why this forum feels so familiar.
It's largely composed of warhammer old world era dwarves, and this forum is actually a book of grudges. Way to adapt to the new world 👍

Well. Amazon prime is a pretty solid service. Just the free shipping and discounts for their store make it worthwhile. With the video service it's downright amazing.
The gaming part of it is just there. Free in game content for a bunch of games you might or might not play, but that definitely represent most of the big online games, plus a few free to keep games every month which often range from mediocre to fairly decent, with the occasional great mixed up. In recent times I got the mass effect legendary edition collection, assassin's creed origins and dead space 2 with all dlc through it, games which have not been available for free in any other pc platform so far and are all pretty darn good.
So this month I only got BPs as content for DBD. Quite a crappy reward, true. Am I disappointed? Not really. I'll take my BPs and merrily continue to enjoy the remainder of my prime subscription benefits.
I can't possibly fathom that someone would consider acquiring prime just for the gaming service or feel that the sub isn't worth it just because crappy DBD reward. Excep those who don't have it and don't quite get what the sub entails.
-
I guess it also has a lot to do with the fact that it's from a free character that readily available for any newish player. If as anl new player I have concerns about being able to heal myself and still not have an ample supply of good medkits and addons, I would most definitely turn my eye to self care and bring it as insurance.

In this scenario there was no winning option. All 3 gens were super close to each other. That's a forced 3gen with no counterplay.
Funny how all the NO comments are from killer mains.
Sorry if you don't like the answer, but "no counterplay" and "impossible to win" is not the same as holding the game hostage. Besides, honestly, I would hardly call that situation unwinnable. 4 healthy survivors with few or no hook states can definitely brute force their way through this.
Perhaps it would be different if it were trapper or hag, but against plague, it's definitely possible, although not easy.
-
You can't have someone banned because they won't let you win....
You can progress the game. Go in, try to finish the Gen, succeed or die trying.
-
It largely depends on the killer. High mobility killers can do well with 1 strong slowdown. More methodical killers like trapper require more to deal with competent survivors.
-
I dunno if it's meta or not, but I definitely see it a lot.
Why I don't see it more? Perhaps because it does requires you to change your playstile significantly to really take full value from it, but its effect is so strong it can unilaterally end a chase.
Fearmonger actually sinergizes with it, if you're playing to use it mid chase all you need to do is touch a Gen to get a short-lived exhaustion and be able to move normally, then you just prepare your exhaustion when you foresee a chase.
Much better than having to walk everywhere or wait for the full 40 sec exhaustion before being able to move normally.

Well, you are nice. If a killer lets me get my challenge I always let them hook me. In two different games today I had the killer down me while I was grabbing a glyph. Not only that, but they proceeded to tunnel me out after. Maybe they just play that way but I suspect it was a big "F you" to me to say "Nope, you're not getting that glyph this match.
I'm definitely not the only nice killer out there. I won't go as far as to say the majority of players are nice, but certainly a significant amount?
I mean this worked on my second attempt, give it a try, just call a killer, camp a pallet and point at it.
-
Point to a pallet and stand still. This is how I got it and as killer I'll let you stun me 4 times if you do this. I do expect a hook afterwards.
-
Aside from cheaters, I think it's perfectly fine. It's definitely a strong perk, but now it does requires skill. If someone can pull this on me legitimately, I can't even be mad. However most players I have seen using it, they just actively ram into you to force its use, which 95% of time isn't as good as simply trying to escape in the usual manner.
-
She is still too awkward for me to enjoy playing with her.
It's annoying not being able to see who you're trying to chase and they knowing exactly where you are even though they should not be able to.
-
If they point at a pallet then not try to run I'll let them stun me 4 times. Back to normal afterwards.
-
When did I lose control of situation?...
-
And now they know.....

They would have died anyway if you killed two teammates at 4 gens. Sure, you betrayed their trust, but surely they earned more bloodpoints that way and did not lie on the ground for 4 minutes unable to do anything, so I don't think your situation is comparable.
I like your glass half full perspective :)
-
There was this one time when I killed 2 survivors at 4 gens, and then proceeded to... Not kill other 2. We goofed around, broke some pallets (on my head) let them do flashy saves and fix all the gens... Then as they wandered around with me readying to leave, looking at me with trusting eyes I.... Knocked one down and hooked him, killing him on the spot. The girl... She tried to run, but there were no pallets left of course. So I chased her and quickly downed her with NOED. Then hooked and killed her as well.
From their perspective I was a terrible person, a monstrous, cruel abomination, devoid of human feelings. In true, I had a challenge that asked me to do this. Behavior made me do it.
But in truth, behind the monitor, I did chuckled a bit, mildly enjoying the bad wolf role playing. Am I a deranged, sociopathic detritus of human waste,so devoid of satisfaction in my life that all I have left is to torture digital people on the internet?
I'm sure they thought so. But I don't think I am. I'm still the same dude who let's 2 people go in about 80% of my matches and tries to help obvious newbs to learn how to loop a little better.
Tldr: you really can't very easily judge a person just by how he is in a video game where he plays the villain.
-
Not really. I mean you see it in the movies. Cheeky protagonist that manage to briefly fight back against their pursuer by dropping something on them or flashing a bright light at their face. Of course they don't harm it in any way nor they really stop it, oftentimes simply piss them off, but still, that moment of rebellion is their's to grasp to and treasure. And, sometimes, just enough to actually make it out alive.
-
The point of playing is to have fun. There you go :)

No no no, the best wraith build is Brutal, Iron Maiden, bamboozle, and unrelenting with double shadow dance add-ons
Gosh, imagine not freaking running his best loadout
Not sure I understood your answer?
-
Meh.
Enduring, spirit fury, bamboozle and pain resonance is my favorite wraith build.
Along coxcombed and all seeing or shadow dance and serpent
-
Agreed. Of course with an opt out option
-
While I generally agree with you, I would like to add that, for me, 4k with 1 Gen left is not "a very close" match. You stomped them. Not super massively crushed them, but that's definitely a stomp, and likely not very fun from the survivor perspective.
A close match for both sides would be 2 dead or 1 dead and one hooked by the time gates are powered and then pushing for the 3 or 4k while they try to open the gates, or perhaps they actually pull a 2 or 3 escape. That's a close match. It can go both ways at any point.
And while I agree that survivors are not actually entitled to any form of mercy and that in your case they even purposely ebbed you into your course of action, I can also empathize with the survivors you beat into submission, which is why I usually let the last 2 go.
Still, your position is very valid, just wanted to add my grain of sand.
-
I only do this when I get a Cheryl as pyramid head.
Then I go find her and accompany her for the whole trial.
Any other survivor who gets near I attack, but I won't chase unless they linger.
-
Taught, like in the school? Did I miss DBD 101?
-
No.
-
I refuse to play survivor without it.
-
I might be wrong here, but I think this is how it's supposed to work?
I mean if you could just partially clear the pallet, drop it and then teleport to the safe side of the pallet, you would essentially be gaining unfair distance. So from a balance viewpoint, you drop the pallet when you actually are on the safe side of it. If you don't, you get punished by being put back all the way to the unsafe side.
Of course from a mechanical and logical viewpoint, it should be "split the difference". You would move to the side that represents the less distance travel from where you are standing, but, as I said, from a balance viewpoint that would be utter nonsense and extremely unfair.
Still, I understand your frustration and I wish you the best luck learning when is safe and when is not :)
-
1?
Admittedly I spend 90% of my game time as killer and play survivor to complete challenges and dailies, which skews my gameplay range from somewhat inefficient to downright silly.
-
Perhaps a more adequate title for this post would have been "its ok to tunnel"
Otherwise it might appear you're simply trying to shame killers in a passive aggressive manner.

Most of the time yes but not always
If a killer chooses to defend a 3 gen from the start then there is nothing the survivors can do about it.
Not what OP is descibing here where the killer chooses a tunneling strategy to then switch to a 3 gen one but i do want to break the stagnation of a 3 gen always being the survivors fault
If the killer chooses to go for 3-4 gen from the start then the survivors have to deal with it. No planning or perks are going to change that
Perhaps. But then you get into the 3 Gen with 4 healthy survivors, and maybe 1 or 2 hooks. 4 semi decent survivors can definitely brute force through this.
-
3?
The good thing is that survivors play differently around loops because they are aware of your power, which often leads to opportunities for stabbing them.
-
So survivors can go hide on a locker or behind a rock in a corner for 20 seconds?

On...Wraith?
You and I are facing very different opponents, or you're so much better than me that I can't even fathom it.
4x souped up flashlights on Wraith against people who move in pairs and are well coordinated - I either get lightburned before you can decloak or basically have to decloak far away to avoid getting burned in about a second (burns stack).
You can maybe hit one as they hoof it towards the lockers, which - especially on DDS - are always within reach unless they're doing the gen in the extreme 'bush' corner or on top of the northern house. The central structure is incredibly safe. Then they are in the locker, and there's no way to prevent the blind.
I run Bamboozle on some killers, but not Wraith - I find that I desperately need lethality, a fast transition from chase to chase and slowdown, so I tend to run either a full hex build (Devour, Undying, Retribution, Penti) or STBFL, Devour, CoB, Discordance.
I've only faced two groups like that on Wraith, and they were ridiculously hard to beat. I think one was a 1k and one a 0k.
The thing about wraith and flashlights is that they can only really attempt a burn when you are de cloaking. So I starte as usual, but then abort and spin behind them. This ends up with them using up a lot of battery without any effect and me blocking their path as I uncloak.
I wish I could show you. I have actually been playing wraith tonight to see if I run into one of these to record the match, but alas, they are not around when they are needed.
-
All of them are worthwhile. Each has merits. Some have ######### perks but are strong or fun to play as, such as pyramid head and oni.
Some are pretty weak, but pack at least one strong or useful perk, like clown, ghost face and Myers.
Most are a combination of both.
From the entire roster, the less worthy one in my opinion is freddy. He is one of the weakest killers, his perks are serviceable but gimmicky and definitely not life changing, and he is licensed, so you gotta fork out cash for him. I still got him though, so if you like him, go ahead.
