I always hate when I'm playing with randoms and one gets tunnelled. The second they get picked up and they don't hit DS I know they basically are dead.
-
Do remember though if you nerf spine chill then there's a strong chance people will stop running it.
Meaning more chance of facing the BT, Adrenaline, DS, Unbreakable, Soul Guard, Sprint Burst and Dead Hard perks.

I think for me the Blight was a letdown. I was so confused when he received critical acclaim for the community. His powers sucked. This killer was built for the better part of two years, I assumed he'd have bad ass plant like powers not take speed.
I think when he first came out he was a big let down. As I said before I think the lack of a trailer really didn't help build up hype for him.
As time has passed however I actually think he's a great addition to the game. I do wish there wasn't a noticable gap between pc and console Blight but you can't get everything right.
All I want is a trailer for the new killer a hour before the ptb.

Yeah, I'm cool with being called a cuss word, but it's when it has to do with my identity that I feel personally ashamed and upset. I like to be lowkey and just have fun, but I won't excuse racism, homophobia, and other slurs of the like.
Never should. Just always laugh it off mate.

As the saying goes "Treat others the way you want to be treated".
Personally I think people just have to take things less seriously. Words mean nothing on online games.

Wait...are you saying that if a survivor is trying to unhook another survivor, then I can just grab and pick up the unhooking survivor while theyโre still trying to perform the action??
Yes. You can interrupt survivor actions by tapping the attack button. Here's some of them:
- Survivor on a gen
- Survivor performing an unhook
- Survivor jumping into a locker
- Survivor medium/slow vaulting a window or pallet while injured.
- Survivor opening the exit
Make sure you tap the attack button. Holding it will count as a lunge. This is good to know if you actually don't want to grab them. You also need to touching them while you do this.
-
That level of griefing should be reportable but unfortunately the devs don't want to hand out bans for something as rare as that.
There's also the fact that at times you need to do this. Maybe your worried about DS, no hooks nearby, you may know they have flip-flop + unbreakable and also end game collapse challenge.
Tbh if even they said it was reportable they never look at their reports anyway. I've sent 3 reports within the past 3 weeks and none of them have been viewed on YouTube. Since YouTube shows your views and my videos are unlisted I can tell exactly when they're seen. It's funny because Overwatch and Fortnite actually will ban players within 5 minutes of the report on some occasions.

Poor Plague. I feel her chapter was definitely the most... Forgotten, aside from Jane, and her perks.
In terms of playing the character yes. In terms of the most meh I'd actually say Deathslinger

I'll be completely honest, I forgot she existed for a second there. Yeah, her skins really look all alike. I wish BHVR would show her some love, I think her concept and character are neat.
She had some amazing designs during the 4th year cosmetic contest but wasn't chosen. Got her on release and still have only ever used her P3.
-
I needed Infectious fright to do it. I didn't derank and I'm a terrible Billy. Took two games but here's my advice.
- Don't use that terrible very rare add-on that decreases your speed to 4.4mls
- Infectious Fright
- Enduring + Spirit Fury
- Add-on that decreases charge speed after a stun
- Bamboozle
This forces survivors to deal with your chainsaw while also allowing you to chain downs quickly together.
-
Imo Plagues skins are quite bad tbh

And how you know others "that do nothing" are not under same situation as you?
In the end theres no difference between someone who quits than to someone who does nothing. Both reduce the teammates win chances as the game is designed for 1vs4.
If this was a non team based or non competitive game i would agree with you but this is both.
When I say do nothing I mean going around the map with urban evasion, hiding in corners, not working on gens, etc.
Being afk is different.
Both reduce the teams chances of winning but as someone with over 3k hours I know when there's no point in playing. I don't care who the killer is or what they're running, just who my teammates are.
-
Swf. I like to talk which is why I play multiplayer games. Also I prefer players I know are reliable.

Agreed, I think it's probably a Wendigo of some sorts but not from Until Dawn. I didn't like their take on the creature, it wasn't entirely accurate to actual depictions of the Wendigo, it looked more like Golem or Rakes' cousin
Hope this killer acts differently from the rest. I like the fact Nurse, Plague, Pig and Pyramid Head changes up the gameplay a bit.
-
Curse Rotted Greatwood lol
I genuinely have no idea. All I want is for them to release the actual trailer BEFORE the ptb. Build up some hype rather than just make the killer feel lackluster.
For me Deathslinger felt meh due to no trailer before ptb. Blight felt meh but was ok due to the fact we already had information about him before the ptb. Oni and Pyramid Head had trailers before the ptb and they got a lot of hype before we even played them. Those chapters felt 10x better because of it.

I dont agree.
If everyone quits when they feel is pointless this is exactly what can happen.
That others that might be trying their best are punished instead.
If you knew personal reasons could arise, then don't play for the same reason.
I will always feel this only contributes to an unnecessary selfish environment.
It all depends on the person that's playing at the time. You can't control what's way they are going to play, that's just multiplayer games for you. It's why I always feel the need to play swf because I know all the players are reliable.
I live on a farm with someone who is elderly. There are times that I can't help but leave early to help him. I don't want to build up DC's because of something that's out of my control. Thankfully I'm normally in a swf so they understand and are good enough to get maybe 1 or more escapes without me.
However if I'm playing extremely well and my teammates are basically doing nothing to help me then I'd see no reason playing that game. If I loop the killer for 2 minutes and no gens are done and people are just hiding from the killer I'd say I have the right to kill myself on hook.
-
Btw if you quote people then you don't need to tag them. It will notify me that you replied to me.
Yea I do. I'd rather people don't do it and I personally don't do it unless I feel it's a pointless game to play. I don't mean that like 'oh it's a freddy with double slowdown add-ons and slowdown perks I must kill themself'. I will play basically every game unless I see a reason to not do play it, like my example.
If someone needs to leave the lobby for personal reasons then I think it's fair that they kill themselves on the hook.

Why do you allocate pink and purple keys into different tiers?
@notameatybassriff98 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1737103#Comment_1737103
both keys do the same thing, ask any dbd player and theyll tell you how bad alex's is, both maps are good, i put ranger second because it only gives you two heals with no addons or sc, both green and yellow flashlights both are technically the same, and this wasn't made based on rarity but how useful it is. Also commodius was the only toolbox that is viable rn
Fair enough with your reasoning. My reasoning is different due because of the potential perks and add-ons. I'm basing my picks off what I want to take out of the trial with me.
Alex's Toolbox: It's only good for sabo builds but it's extremely good at them. I like to run sabo builds from time to time so I find it more important to keep.
Flashlights: There is very little difference in them true. Tbh I'd actually probably move them both up to 2nd. They're very important and probably my favourite items to get from a chest.
Commodious: It's a good toolbox but not something I'd take over the other items I listed. It isn't the fastest for gens and not the best for sabo either.
Maps: A green map only tracks gens without add-ons which imo makes it pretty low on my list of things to take from the trial. Rainbow however can help find totems, exits and hatch.
Keys: Yea I understand your reasoning. Mines is that if I took it from a chest would I keep the purple one over the items I placed above it? No. In terms of items that are useful when looted it could be one of the best.
Ranger Medkits: Still the best in the game.
I'd say you should mention in your top post that this is based off no add-on or perks working with the item.
-
Very well played lol wish I could understand what they were saying.
-
I have a lot on this I'd change lol
- Alex Toolbox should top.
- Green flashlight should be 2nd from top.
- Commodious should be 2nd from top.
- Green map should be 2nd from bottom.
- Rainbow map should be top.
- Purple key should be second from top.
- Ranger Medkit should be top.
-
Its horrible facing a team with a key but what I will say is that it's actually good they brought the offering.
It gives you the killer the information of where the hatch is going to spawn. Means you can prepare early to stop them escaping.

Surprising?
In my case it made me stop playing the game.
OoO is only going to delay it, these players seem to have an i give up at first chance mindset due to X.
This has to be prevented from devs side, either by better punishments or encouragements. But would be interesting to understand what is making these players to act like that first.
On an interesting side note i always run Kindred, so they can know if teammates are going for the rescue, others repairing...
Unfortunately it's the risk you take when playing solo survivor. You need to add players and create a swf.
Problem is they can't punish people for killing themselves on hook. I know last year I got chased for 2 mins and when I got hooked I saw something disgusting. 3 urban evasion survivors. No gens were done and I went "Nope I'm outta here" lol
-
Btw if anyone has their Devotion 11 and level 8 I'd be every happy to see it ๐
-
I don't know who brought this post back from the grave but I definitely didn't expect to see it today lol
It's pretty interesting to see how long people have played this game. I don't think the devs know how lucky they are that they got this loyal of a fan base.
It's kinda sad that I was Devotion 8 when I created this post 5 months ago. Now I'm Devotion 11 level 9 lol

Imagine experiencing what happened on those matches if you already find it odd just by the duration.
If I genuinely played 6 matches in 1 hour I'd stop playing survivor lol at that rate solo survivor is even worse than before. I also would be disappointed in myself having chases that short that the game only lasts 5 minutes, 6 times in a row.
I'd say if your actually having those sort of problems then bring Object of Obsession. Make sure your chased first and let the babies work on gens.

Face camping, camping at Hook, is obviously the same thing ya bell. The problem isny with red rank killers. It's low level killers. A red rank killer having to camp is even worse! Meant to be the best players ๐ What's a toxic survivor? Also a key is virtually useless at the beginning of the match anyway which is what I'm talking about... killers camping at the hook on their first survivor hook. And any others if they're successful in hooking. Am no the one with the consumption of information problem ๐๐
Face camping and camping at the hook aren't the same thing ๐๐ hopefully someone will come here and help confirm this to you.
Let me explain to you the difference ๐
-- Camping the hook: The killer is staying relatively close to the hook. They usually stay within 16m of the hook. This can also be called proxying the hook. This can be so they down any survivor going for the unhook.
-- Face camping: The killer is staring directly at the survivor to make sure that no one is able to unhook them. They're sole intention is for you to die. They don't care about killing anyone else just you.
After reading the rest of your message I just have to assume your trolling ๐ there's no way what I'm reading is actually serious lol
You can reply whatever you want and I'll leave it unopposed. What to let the kid have the last word ๐ hope you enjoy your games and remember to not be toxic to any killers you can't loop for longer than 10 seconds ๐

one game is in average 10min so its possible.
That doesn't include the roughly 3 minutes you may need to wait to exit and find another game. It's plausible but having 6 games in 1 hour just seems a bit much.

Aye, cause you can decide what rank of killer you want to play ๐ are you capable of consuming information? I don't play as killer... I don't camp. I'm complaining about killers facecamping, to the point I can't unhook a survivor. Doesn't make me camp, just stops me from completing one of the 3 objectives of the game. Gen, unhook, exit gate. And when is it ever necessary to face camp? Only when you canny kill a survivor... Ever?
You do realise in your top post you never mentioned face camping right? Maybe you should present your information better so others can consume it correctly ๐ Makes a big difference mate lol
If you don't play as killer you can't possibly understand why some killers feel the need to camp. If you got to red ranks you'd understand why at times there's a need to do it.
Here's some examples where face camping is fair game:
- Survivor was toxic
- Survivor has a key and the hatch is near you
- Exit door is right next to them and it's 99%
So I hope you consumed that information well mate ๐

@PlayerLUE said:
You finding the time extremely weird means that you have experienced it aswell?
I gave my best.
Be enough or not to last is still better than those that suicide on first hook are choosing to give.
No lol I would say that unless the killer downs all 4 survivors and kills them in 5 minutes then there's no way you can play 6 games in that time.
I've had people kill themselves or dc immediately to start the game and it still lasts at least 10 minutes.
-
Not good enough to play is a bold statement lol
Maybe play killer at red ranks and don't complain if your forced to camp. I never facecamp and try not to proxy the hook unless necessary.
-
You must have given up pretty early in those 6 games also. 6 games in 1 hour is extremely weird, even if someone suicides on the hook.

Itโs actually both Urban Evasion and Iron Will that help during chases. Iโve had countless moments where Iโve been getting chased at a jungle gym and Iโve been able to start running in one direction and then quickly crawl in the opposite and lose the killer. It wouldnโt have been possible without UE as I would have been crawling too slow.
I recently had a match against a Rank 1 Billy who kept trying to chainsaw me at close range, I made him hit a wall and then crawled away behind a rock. He had no idea where I went and kept circling around trying to find me but because I had now gained quite a lot of distance and left no scratch marks, he just gave up and left. Most killers wonโt expect UE and theyโll assume you jumped into a locker which just buys you more time to get away from the area whilst they check every locker in sight.
The perk isnโt for everyone, but I know for a fact itโs helped me out in plenty of chases and Iโve made plays that wouldnโt have been successful without it.
Well if it has then fair enough ๐
Btw I'm quite pleased I called out the Iron Will lol
-
I've always done this. Simple reason is because I want the points for unhooking myself.
It's only toxic if you take it that way. If you let me go second state then don't complain about losing if you end up going down to 3 survivors left lol
-
I've seen it used more now than I did before the change.
-
I'd say they could have a really cool chapter with the AHS series. Though I'd say it would be better if they instead just created AHS skins for each killer.
Clown - Twisty
Legion - Bloody face
Probably way more if someone wants to suggest them.
-
You want unhook points and so do they. I always go for it and am not mad if anyone does on me.
I actually find it funny if it works or if they mess up and go second state.

I have 4k hours in the game. Just started using UE recently for luls and it's legit really strong. Ive dipped out of so many chases mid chase. Made some amazing BT saves against camping killers. If you use a perk effectively it is good. I play killer at rank 1 and it's definitely not a 100% win like you claim. Even self care can be amazing when used at the right time. And of course a 4 man isn't going to use it, duh. They don't need it because they are all running the same meta perks.
There is no problem with urban evasion. Do you know how many times I've seen survivors dead hard or sprint burst into a wall??? It's not the perk it's the person using it. Urban is no different.
I can't imagine you dipping out of chases using Urban Evasion unless your running Iron Will with it. In this scenario I'd give the credit to Iron Will and not Urban.
Don't get how you can make amazing BT saves against a camping killer unless it's Hag. It's faster to run in a save them if their camping so I'm near certain you mean Hag.
Your right when you say it's the person running the perk but typically better players will use perks that are better at high ranks. They don't run all the same meta perks it's just that there's no reason to run urban over other, better stealth perks.
If it's doing you a great job then that's actually great. Maybe you will be one of the few players running Urban that will actually make it look good.
-
I'd say not. Reason is there is multiple gen slowdown perks a killer can run.
Survivor doesn't have any anti-tunnel perks except DS. The only other example is another survivor having BT but your relying on someone else to help you in that scenario.
-

"I'm tired of matches where my decisions and skill are meaningless up until I have to face camp someone to hopefully get a 1k."
Your decisions and skill are not meaningless, but it is not enough. SWF does not make players godlike all of the sudden. Most SWFs are just playing with their friends - or do you think you go against Tournament Squads all the time?
There will never be an option that Killers will not get matched against SWFs, because they would just opt-out, which leads to long Queue Times for Killers and long Queue Times for SWFs. And those SWFs who still want to play together will be sweaty enough to dodge Lobbies, meaning, you will still go against SWFs, but not against chill ones anymore.
Stop blaming your losses on SWFs.
This.
I would like to add that making every single game guaranteed solo q players just gives you can easy win everygame. The only real challenge this game has is a swf.

I've had this on my P3 level 50 characters. This only happens with the last 25-30 perks I have left.

It should be even more apparent if he has Infectious Fright.
