So many contradicting advice from multiple sources... I dunno who to follow anymore...
Here's some real advice play how you want and f everyone else. You wanna cleanse then cleanse it's all good. If you don't want too then don't. The games better when you play for you and have fun.

So if it's a killer that can catch you if they are good we throw a fit and DC? And if it's a killer that cant catch you. You complain they are boring? Lol you all are silly honestly here this should help ya

I think that every killer should have their own theme at this point. They recorded her from scratch, they could've given her a new theme too just for novelty

Well as one of the few players who has max grinded 2 accounts I feel I have something to say on this. No disrespect thou if you do or don't agree just my thoughts on it.
Idk about you but I haven't p3 anyone I see no reason to. go for it if that's what you want.
1 We're Gonna Live Forever is a thing I normally use it when the killer goes for a pick up to get those protection hit with relative safety.
2 I play killer and I used bbq&chili won't lie. But not playing both sides not only deprives you from experience and knowledge that helps you on both sides it is also a self inflicted less BP overall.
I came from a game were this grind is a joke like 1000% . It isn't so bad honestly and while I'd love to say they keep it to keep me entertained. The truth is it's all this game has that let's you feel like you have some progression.
-
Yay nurse is back 😍 time for me to get back to getting 0ks with her as I try to get good with her.
-
This is easy while I have several ideas here's 1. Borrowed time instead of it helping who you unhook it works on the person who brings it so if I bring it it doesn't matter who unhooks ill get it were if you don't bring it hey that's on you. It would help with unsafe unhooks to a degree.

Ya I kinda figured thou I've had it on till recently. Was wondering thanks for the replys.

I imagine they have to be stronger than non Boon perks yes? Dead Hard and Unbreakable aren't Boons, so how does one make a Boon better than them without breaking the game? It is simply not a good idea, at least not yet.
whos to say that some of the strong survivor perks wont become boon totems..
i dont recall anyone saying the boons have to be "new"

Current survivor chase/looping defences (pallets and vaults) are based on the idea of just being chased by 1 killer. I.e. one side has danger, the other side has safety. If 2 killers playing together were smart, they’d never separate so that once a survivor is found they’re both able to pincer attack the survivor at every pallet or vault every single time.
Every. Single. Time. Chases would last mere seconds. No matter how many survivors are working on gens, they wouldn’t be able to cope with the pace at which 2 killers never separating are downing survivors, because 2 killers playing this way renders pallets and vaults completely useless.
2v8 would require an ENTIRE rework of maps and the structures laying within, and looping would need a major overhaul where pallets and vaults are replaced with something else entirely for a survivor to cope with the possibility of 2 killers coming from both sides.
ive got a idea thou its kinda long but ill give you a quick rundown each killer spawns on diffrent areas like this kinda.
K K
s
with only survivors starting on the s with pipes only they can move thou and obective a is in k1 spot and objective b in k2 the killers cant interact but the 5 objectives require survivors to move back and forth to complete the objective so like obective in k1 may need 6 people to do were as objective 2 needs 3 and so on so they have to move around and adjust allowing people to work together to overpower the killers and encourage people to talk it thou were killers while they cant directly help each other till endgame can same as survivors share what info they have to stop the 10 survivors from escaping , perks only work on their respective kill ie k1 has noed so only killer 1 has noed. if killer 2 has ruin only k2 gens get ruin. with mutiple crosses so a killer cant just camp the entrance point. may be good may be bad just a idea,

I've mained Jake since I got this game 4 years ago, I decided to spend 4 pound and purchased Leon (not a RE fan) I just fancied a go with the flashbangs and he's a cool character imo.
3 games as him and I'm the first found and tunnelled in all 3, before I even got to use the first flashbang against each. Was PH, Legion and Wraith. The last 2 just didn't leave me alone although I gave the Legion the round around for a large part of my last life.
Do Leon's get hated on much? As killer im wary of his flashbangs but I don't see the need to pick on him
no offense to you or anyone but jill is the #1 and you can play w/e you want i will camp and tunnel someone playing jill cause they are not good enouph to be jill. match thrown out as soon as a jill in the lobby =P

Sigh. That's sadly a good point.
Honestly, I try so hard not to take sides in this game. I REALLY do. I hate how much negativity there is in this community. I always try to say "GG" (and to be fair that was the case with at least half a dozen matches in the last hour or two). I've seen killers say it back, if not even first. Yet survivors are the ones who scold other players or mock the killers. And I've been facecamped by killers a few times, yes, but I still defend the practice because that just leaves the other survivors to do gens. A survivor who literally just bails on his or her team, screws everybody else over just because they want the cheap win? It's disgusting. Ruining the game for other players just because you're selfish is such a sleazy way to play.
If someone says gg to me I always take it as get gud.

I say uncapped it all and just let people earn what they earn as long as people are having fun. Earn 8-25k not having fun or earn up to like 100k for being willing to drag it out and have some fun with no sweat.

There was another post about this a couple days ago, but I wanted to evaluate on it.
I wrote out passives for each survivor and wanted to know if this would actually work in the game. This would be the equivalent of killer powers but for survivors, and could bring more people to playing the less popular (ugly) survivors ;)
the passives were meant to synergies with their teachables and work with their lore/backstory
here are my ideas:
Survivor: Name of passive: effect of passive
Meg: Athlete: While not exhausted, walk 3% faster.
Dwight: hard worker: after working on a generator for 30 seconds, great skill check success zones are increased by 20% for that generator.
Claudette: Helping Hand: always see the aura of healing survivors, and increase healing speed by 5% in cooperative healing actions
Jake: nature’s blessing: after alerting 2 crows, the next crow will not be alerted and all other survivors will be revealed to you for 3 seconds.
Nea: On the run: whenever the killer gains a level of bloodlust, gain an extra 5% speed boost for 1.5 seconds
david: reckless: gain an extra 5% speed boost after being hit for 3 seconds
bill: commander: after reuniting with a survivor, that survivor gains 5% repairing, vaulting, and healing bonus for 30 seconds. This can only be activated once per survivor.
Ace: Risky and courageous: after unhooking a survivor gain 1% stackable luck for all survivors up to a total of 6%
Feng: in the zone: after 5 minutes of not being hooked, gain 10% repair speed bonus for the rest of the trial
laurie: let go: after being hooked twice gain 5% vault speed bonus for the rest of the trial
quentin: FOCUS: after not being chased for 30 seconds, reveal the closest generator for 3 seconds.
tapp: intel: when a survivor gets chased, reveal the killers character to you (tells you which killer it is).
Kate: By the campfire: while doing a cooperative action, reveal your aura to all other survivors.
adam: philosophy: after a survivor takes a protection hit gain a stackable 2% bonus to healing speed up to a total of 20%.
Jeff: rock and roll: while in a chase all other survivors repair 3% faster
jane: on air: for 12 seconds at the start of the trial, all survivors can see your aura
ash: saviour: after unhooking a survivor, that survivor moves 7% faster for 2 seconds
steve: let’s go: after escaping the trial all other survivors move 2% faster and vault 5% faster (only 1 Steve at a time)
nancy: Be Strong: when a survivor dies, gain a stackable 1% movement speed and vault speed increase
yui: drive on: after repairing the equivalent of 1 full generator, gain a 10% increase to unhooking and healing speed
zarina: Fascinated: when you discover a new portion of the map, see the aura of the closest generator for 10 seconds.
cheryl: dark past: after being unhooked see the aura of the killer for 1 second
felix: architect: always see the aura of all pallets and vault locations in the main building. If the map doesn’t have a main building then always see the aura of the closest pallet or vault location. This will deactivate if you vault or drop a pallet in a chase, and reactivate when you leave the chase.
elodie: strange new world: for 6 seconds at the start of a trial see the auras of chess, generator, and 1 dull totem for 3 seconds.
yun-Jin lee: musical: hear generators for an additional 8 metres
thanks for reading :)
me and my buddys will be playing jeff the best passive on that list.

You can still punish that by bringing borrowed time, there is no reason the unhooked survivor should have 2 layers of protection(ds and borrowed time).
ya well i feel borrowed time should work as it does except on the person who brings it. that would end unsafe unhooks cause if they unhook safe ok but if they unhook you in the killers face you get bt. that said it would not save someone your unhooking just yourself.
-
@KingFrost said:
Yeah, it's hard going for adepts when you can't have an exhaustion perk to help you escape from the hook. You have to HOPE your teammates have BT. Best thing you can do is probably just avoid the killer most of the match, and work on gens when it's safe. Maybe do totems instead, since the killer can't see where those are.
You know idk why bt doesn't work on the one who brought it on unhook vs depending on others to bring it. Would help with unsafe unhooks

I actually kinda agree with him there. I don’t think it’s a double standard. If you listen before the match starts and he’s not talking to anyone else from his team and he’s solo I just turn the volume down on my phone.
If it was me I'd just look at there perks and destroy them if they lack ds as you know they do or don't have it. It's on them for streaming tunnel ftw

For this game to be "balanced" most killer mains are asking to be able to kill 4 survivors most matches...
Even if you get 4 kills HALF of your matches and 2 kills your other matches, that averages out to 3 kills per match. That means 3 out of every 4 survivors won't make it!!!
In what world is that "balanced"?
In solo q, I don't know if our squad makes it out alive even 10% of the time. And in a full squad we maybe make it out 20% of the time.
When you get a killer with certain perks and add-ons, like Freddy, Spirit, even the Hag with her traps, these killers can be virtually impossible to beat.
Then we have killer mains on here whining all day because they are getting t-bagged...
If you aren't getting 2 to 4 kills every match (meaning the game is balanced towards killer) then you absolutely suck.
Of course we should nerf DS, and if we keep the game in the state it's in, n I'm okay, but please, if you are going to nerf anything survivor, nerf the traps of the Hag, nerf Freddy or the Spirit.
Yes we have a problem with q times. That's the only reason why they cater so much to killers. They have to or the game won't survive so I'm okay with it. But killers: a successful match isn't 4k or bust, and again, if you aren't getting 2k or more in most matches, you suck, even my friend who's new to the game can play underpowered killers and get 2 kills each match
and everything i said applys to you as well. when people dc or hook suicide what do you think happens to the kill numbers? or if you end up with me in your match? the devs can balance all they want but you cant force me to do a gen if i dont want too. just like 90% of players are too lazy to do bones... i like to run dh and noed and im in red rank and let me say the salt is good for my popcorn
-
@YourNightmare said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/234212/killers-stop-expecting-a-4k
Killer mains are toxic in this game. They want it easy that's why they only and exclusively play OP killers. They 3 to 4k most of the times in red rank but they call their preferred killers "balanced" (spirit, huntress, PH, Gunslinger, Hag etc...).
When devs release stats showing the kill rate is 70%+, the killers lobby come here yelling : stats doesn't mean anything blabla.
But then they see that stats shows nurse at 60% kill rate and they use those stats to ask for a buff :). While we all know that playing nurse on console (with a gamepad) is impossible... tanking the stats for her and all killers that rely on aiming.
A balanced game would mean a kill rate of 2k for the highest rank. What i see playing soloQ is that the kill rate is way way way higher than that 50%.
In red ranks, the escape rate is 25% lol... it's a ######### joke.
An average of 2k should be a good game for both side. getting 3k/4k should be hard and only the best killers whould get these.
We don't need to have plenty of noob killers in red rank that don't even play, they just camp and tunnel for the most part. The others are using broken killers.
Do the devs know how frustrating it is to play against a killer that has no counterplay ? Like you know facing this killer, if the player is average to good you won't be able to give a good chase. Well it is so frustrating that survivors suicide all the time.
Major wrong behaviors in a game : camping, tunneling, DC, suicides, teamkill (in FPS) is a sign of a terrible game design. There will always be this kind of bhvr in video games as humans are playing them but when it is the majority of the community that mimic the same patern and when you see suicide after suicide, camp after camp in every trials you play, the natural move from a smart and good company would be to fix those issues by balancing/reworking the game (remove the possibility of tunnel/camp early) and reworking the killers that cause problems.
The solution is not to implement a ban system lol... Next step will be to ban suicides or to auto struggle to avoid the possibility to suicide ? So then you will have AFK survivors in every trials that refuse to play and move because the killer is not fair or because it's an OP killer.
Then next step ? AutoDC/Ban AFK players ? Then players won't play the game anymore.
so sir how do you account for me? What I mean is I load the up and I refuse to do a gen. Yea it hurts us as a team but idc I’m having fun doing bones healing and looking for chest. And once in a while I’ll be chased. Point is my games effect the kill numbers.and I’m sure I’m not the only 1.
-
@NoelleMina said:
I agree there should be an obsession every match, no matter the perks.
However, DS is only being changed to make it less-abusable and more anti-tunnel. And as you may know, if you’re being tunneled you can’t hop on a generator. The thing I see iffy is healing, maybe.
On another note, I do think they should do something about generators and perks that increase their speed. But, I’m afraid that might even present it’s own set of problems.
Who knows. I’m not a game designer, I just want this game to be healthy.
hey just gonna say that just because you chase me doesnt mean i CANT get on a gen and get hit downed or grabbed.

Any survivors worth their salt can do totems, gens and escape. The problem solo players have isn't with totems or just NOED, it is with the abysmal ranking and matchmaking. The game should not be pairing up good players with bad teammates nor should the game be made easier for bad players.
I agree I’ve got a ghostface vid that shows this.

@ukenicky said:
The real problem with NOED is that it absolutely is unhealthy and unbalanced vs solo queue teams which already have it rough.
Swfs have a much higher chance of coordinating to cleanse all totems or leave 1 behind for someone to go and cleanse when NOED procs after last gen. Solo queue? Lol I wouldn't expect even red rank solo queue survivors to coordinate that well tbh.
I don't want noed nerfed into uselessness but I also think it's unfair in its current form because what's stopping an already very good Killer player from running it and abusing its power?
I'm sorry but I can't get over people downplaying its power, it isn't just insta downs it's also a nifty haste effect which is highly underrated. If a killer has already secured one or two kills by mid to late game NOED is just like overkill.
Idk, like when I play killer I just don't feel comfortable using it it feels dirty lol but if other killers think it's fair and balanced and should be used then go off I guess. I'll admit I play way more survivor than I do killer but I try to meet in the middle for both sides and I honestly do think it could do with some sort of reworking where it keeps a lot of its power though
if the killer played good you wont get to endgame....

I've said Spirit and Freddy need nerfs and changes. And face camping is lame. Sorry survivor main.
1. BBQ and Chili has four counters
Go in a locker, Hide behind a generator, be within 40 meters, walk one way then a different direction. It's bad if you can't do one of those.
2. Corrupt Intervention
Play stealthy simple
3. PGTW has 45 seconds can't be used twice in a short amount of time. And don't tap a gen simple.
4. A Nurse's Calling minus a few maps you'll see the killer coming. No worries
Random point to make there's another counter just run distortion first time they hook someone you know whether you need to hide or not

Right now, killers are curb-stomping survivors. Sure there is a hit-box issue causing part of it, but even before that, survivors, I felt, were underpowered. I just started keeping track of every game I play on DBD so we have data to actually see what's happening to survivors. There will need to be a lot more games statistics recorded to get an accurate view of what's happening. But even before this, I rarely saw 2 survivors escape. With how easy Killers have it right now, it's definitely not the time to nerf anything survivor sided.,
lol sir i just had a game were i wish i could kick someone out cause they cant hit a basic skill check....
its not hard but let me tell you bring the killer to me cause you cant be bothered to learn one of the most simple mechanics in almost any game..... and wonder why i don't care about helping others

There's no problem with DH I've never lost a game because someone used DH. I just can't believe how many people are salty about DH. Especially with the desync issues where I can literally hit a survivor around a corner. Learn how to chase, learn how to force a survivor out of position, and just get better at the game.
I'm saying it now if you have a problem with DH as a killer then you just aren't good at killer and you should probably spend less time complaining and more time working on improving. In my eyes killers who complain about DH are the equivalent of a salty face camper that loses every game. Get Good.
Also yeah I do play survivor about 40% and killer about 60% and no I don't use DH I used balanced landing as balanced gets me out of situations more frequently than DH ever did. So call this bait call me a survivor main do what you please. The fact remains that if you have issues with DH as a killer you gotta get better at the game.
i have no issues with DH. i just wonder what metric you use to say your skilled?
