But it'll only be a bandaid fix which is not the way the game's balance should be handled. Maybe make it a passive ability or something. Just not a perk. Killers shouldn't have to take a perk to counter bad design on the dev's part.

Wouldn't do too much, but would be welcomed especially when the game is lacking mindgames. But I doubt they'll add it.Yeah I bet they'll add more pallets because ya know, 20+ per map ain't enough for the poor rank 20 survs

I DC when survs gen rush. They want the match to end so badly so why not just finish the job? They're mad about losing a pip? I'm mad about waiting 10+minutes to find a match only to have it end in less than 5. Excuse me for wanting to have fun in this game.Gen rush is a serious problem in this game. It is the defacto weakness every killer has and it cannot be stopped or countered. The devs really need to rework the objective in this game in a way that lengthens the game while making it fun for both sides.
I agree. I jut wonder how they're gonna do it. I bet they'll mess it up tho. I mean anything Killer friendly in any sense seems to spell disaster for the devs. I mean look at Wraith's cube that Killers waited for for over a year and a half. What a damn joke.

To be fair hopefully the pallet changes will make looping an unviable tactic, but i doubt it.
Sadly the only option is to master the nurse, which is sad since thete are so many cool killers to work with that we have to ignore at higher rank due to looping.
Nope. Looping is still a stupidly viable tactic. I just get like 1 less loop SOMETIMES but no worries! There's about 30 more pallets to my left I can go to and keep on looping.
Oh good, i was worried for a second that the survivors would have to go on without safe zones in a horror survival game.
I know right? I mean what horror/survival game would make it's players struggle to survive? It's unfathomable. #sarcasm

Def agree, killers need to actually be intimidating, you should actually be kind of scared when you're in the terror radius. Instead, you just sigh and run in a circle until every gen is done or he gives up, or he hooks you and you get saved right away and escape. Killers should be borderline OP imo, instead of survivors being definitely OP. Way too many pallets, way too many infinite loops, gens finish way too fast, bloodlust is way too slow, etc. It should actually be rewarding to escape a match, instead of an expectation. And to anyone that says "oh, if you're getting looped, just chase a different survivor", well every survivor past rank 15 can pallet loop a killer for long enough to get 2 gens done. You just chase a different survivor to get looped again.
And adding tons of cosmetics instead of fixing these things and making certain perks, that are just plain unusable, actually usable, is a joke.
just my opinionWelcome to the mindset of the people behind DbD :chuffed:

Not sure if they are supposed to "escape" for that long, the Killer is supposed to get you that is why its 4v1 and you don't die instantly on a hook.
The survivors have to escape. The killer has to kill. Whoever does it better wins. What do you mean the survivors are not supposed to escape?
What you said would be the case if the game didn't give survivors so many crutches that they can run with every limb broken. gg ezpz

If people actually focused on trying to learn how to escape and less time running in circles maybe they'd figure it out. I never loop and I lose Killers all the time. The people that think Killers are impossible to lose or break the chase against are simply ill-experienced.
Breaking line of sight is always the number 1 rule to actually escaping a Killer. Breaking LoS and moving to a new location or double backing etc, doing some crazy mindgame during a pallet break or something rather than running in a straight line or just ducking into some nearby corner etc.
I can give you all the tips I want to escape a Killer. But until you attempt it yourself and learn how to do it yourself, you'll just continue to think looping is the only way.

You seriously need to take a massive step back.
I hate this hatch situation a lot & I think it's 100% unfair and not at all balanced, but I'm not going to demonize people who play killers.
Yeah I do read my own posts and I know the truth hurts but someone has to say it. I mean you seem to wonder why you have so many survs that run DS with a purple flashlight and tbag to try to pester the killer. You also see mot of the surv population having to run in circles around a pallet which ruins how the game was supposed to be played according to the devs since they said pallets were just for distancing yourself from the killer; not to play Nascar with. Sorry if you diagree with I say, but what I say is true. Hell, you have a good chunk of survs that want the game to stay as imbalanced as it is because it seems they want to say they're good at the game when it' actually the game itself carrying them. Survs are scum except for maybe like 5% that actually want the game fairly balanced and made. While the other 95% are complaining about the small pallet change and the small hatch change and are seeming to think they are ruining the game when the fact is it's just ruining their scum tactics. This game is supposed to be a horror game for the survivors, not a bully simulator.
And another reason why I say survs are scum is that a you scroll down this post, you see people that actually present logical and good ideas and actual points upon their posts and yet, they're downvoted by people like you just because they disagree and don't even provide why they downvoted. You survs are scum. Yall can downvote all you like, but people will still read and see what yall try so desperately to hide. Yall even downvoted Peanits who's a mod just because he stated that survs don't deserve a free win with the hatch. Yall are pathetic.

There is one main issue with that kind of system :
It would make people not to want to rank up. Especially since there is no rewards for doing so. Which could lead to even more bullying at low ranks for both sides. The real solution would be to make the game more noob-friendly.
For example, giving the perk "Windows of Opportunity" for free, or make it to appear in bloodwebs for the first 3 characters you level up, would help immensely. Which would ask for it to be a free perk tho, and give a new perk for Kate that would be more fitting to her since she's a DLC character, so meant for experience players.Along with that, you could simply tweak some meta perks that are very used at high ranks, while not destroying them for low ranks that do not play optimally with them anyway, would be a good step toward a decent balancing of the game.
Maker the game more noob friendly? That's EXACTLY what the devs have been doing which lead to the survs being as OP as they are.

Solution: once the 5 gens are done, something in the basement appears that lets the killer work on it the same way doors work. Except this timer is visible to everyone somehow, after 2 minutes, the game ends, survivors die and killer gets points for sacrifices.
If the survivors see the timer ticking down, that means that the killer is in the basement and that its time to run to an exit.
It takes 35 seconds to open a gate and exit, this leave more than enough time to find a gate. If you want to [BAD WORD] around thats fine, but if you are too late then you die.
Escape preventing/slowing perks could be disabled while timer is ticking.dying light, Freddy, swing chains=YOUR SCREWED

I don't think it's that unfair, actually. Being the last one alive doesn't warrant a free escape. If the killer finds it first, that's fair game, he beat you to it. If you manage to get another generator done, you get another shot at it.I think if you have survived thus far as to have the hatch as an option being the last survivor in the trial it should be not only a skill test for the survivor, but a skill test for the killer as well. Its not fun when theres no hope of escaping. Why not level the playing field a little at this point? Some of the suggestions i've seen could make it more fun for both the killers AND survivors.
Being the last survivor isn't necessarily a feat, though. If things are going poorly and I hide in a corner, I'll be the last one alive, but it doesn't mean that I should be on a level playing field with the killer. The difference is that the killer has to earn it. They don't just end up killing the other three survivors by chance. At that point, they've done tremendously well and to put them on a level field with someone who just happened to be the last to die seems unfair to me.
It IS unfair. I'm glad that you have a brain.

They want their side to have an advantage. It’s just human nature. I play 50/50, but I’m not free of bias, no one is. Always remember someone’s intention when they post balance suggestions. Form your own opinions, whether they’re are not reasonable or otherwise is your choice.I read the comments and your dealings with said people, and I have to say you are correct. I may be trying to get the game balanced fairly for the killers and that may be my bias, but at least my bias has actual reasoning behind it with the history of the devs and their way of 'balancing' the game. But the one thing I have to argue on is that I'm not biased for one side or the other, I'm just biased against the imbalance this game has, and I want real balance. I want it to where I am actually a little shook to try and mess with the killer instead of where I can just bully the crap out of them and get away clean. That shouldn't be a thing at all.

Having self-care as an infinite use perk is very powerful on its own since it doesn't make you rely on your teammates or to scavenge for a med kit at any time. I feel like self-care should be one of the perks that should be used only if you really need to, similar to how Unbreakable only allows you do get up once, but still keeps the fast recovery rate. It shouldn't allow the survivor to be completely dependent without the aid of other survivors, and should only count on the perk when it's most needed, such as when there are no survivors able to assist you or when you're that last survivor in the trial.I feel like the perk should either be token based or charge based. Having it token based can make it rely on helping teammates by completing altruistic actions, similar to WGLF and having a max stack of tokens. In turn, the perk could have moderately faster healing speed that current self-care, but fully healing yourself or having another survivor finish healing you when you're over 75% healed can consume a token, and you'll have to complete more altruistic actions to gain another token, and the survivor will start the match with either 1 or 0 tokens depending on the tier. Having it charge based would only let you heal for a certain amount of time and could be recharged by either healing teammates or collecting a med kit of rare quality or higher, making the perk not infinite but not very limited.
Let me know what other changes to the perk could be done to help actually balance it out. The goal is to not make the perk as crutch as it currently is and to not make it a staple perk for survivors for easier games. The game should be team-based and be centered around benefiting you for helping others and increasing the odds of survival instead of allowing survivors to lone-wolf the game by simply bringing in this perk. I feel like the game should be an actual challenge for the survivor instead of making it a huge challenge to the killer.
I've already suggested this change numerous times in the past. I'm not even sure if the devs listen.

I think part of the problem is many people main one side or the other, and thus, understandably, want a game that is more fun for their side. Many of the new update mechanics were very punishing for survivors, especially those who maybe are not the top class, or those who were but were used to certain mechanics being in favor of them. As it was it was really entirely up to the players teamwork which side won, and if both sides were of equal skill but the survivors worked together, it was stacked in their favor everytime. How do I know this? Because almost every game I work with my team we win, or at least half of us do. When we don't work together we fall apart. As a killer I notice this too, I main Freddy and yet I'm steadily climbing ranks, and I have to ask, why? Freddy is the worst killer and I am no god, I miss my lunges and midgame myself, not to count how often I fall for stuns or let myself get genrushed doing a single chase. Yet every few rounds I win. And I notice its because they don't work together. And that's how its supposed to be really. The game is meant to be stacked towards the killer, and even though I main survivor, the rounds most hard-won are the most rewarding. The emblem system even encourages this, easy wins tend to not give much reward. So the fact that this mechanic challenges survivors and makes it so losing your team is a bad thing is great, even from a survivor perspective, because it encourages better team play. It encourages you to maybe go that extra mile, maybe your teammates will learn to hide better, maybe you will start bringing flashlights or bodyblocking, maybe someone starts running bond so they dont accidentally scrape the killer onto others. You are meant to adapt! But I digress
Thank you for the compliment, really though I just love having discussions like this, getting input and viewing the problem from multiple people and angles helps us all see better the pros and cons of how it currently is and brainstorm how to make it better
I'm a killer main and I've stated this kind of bias in the past. I want fair changes. I want balance. It doesn't take a genius to see that survivors are stupid OP. Especially when I can go from playing killer, outplaying the survs, and somehow they win, and I only safety pip at most, and then go to surv and win without even breaking a sweat and even decide to bully the killer because why not? The devs want me to be OP enough to bully the poor soul. I want actual balance. I am tired of the survs being the power role when the advertisement for this game falsly states killers are the power role.

It's fairly simple actually. The killer has a choice to either camp the hatch or patrol gens. When you're the last survivor left you have plenty of gens to choose from. Just do some work on all to confuse the killer. This fix is after all ment to fix the whole hatch stand off. And as it is right now most killers lose those points because survivors can just pretend to be AFK on hatch and who the hell wants to waste 30+ minutes standing on the hatch?
