Entity literally gave the normal human being called Sally the strongest power ever exist.

Keys need to be changed to have ability to instantly open chests.

I've said for awhile they need to make them not count. It won't eliminate slugging but I do think it'll help.
Killers feel winning because survivors die. Not really because of gaining MMR (its only because killing survivors by hooking also gain MMR so most people think they want to gain MMR)
You idea would make killers slugging and greatly rewarded.
Its why Im against MMR gaining by hook count. Because those who camp and get 3-4 kills with 3-4 hooks would drop MMR play against easier teams.

I actually want hatch to be removed. So the only way for 1 survivor to escape also required 5 Gens done.
So that, the game will be balanced around 5 gens done every single game (which technically how hatch works by now: close hatch to power gates, just minus the hatch part)

This one?

Aren’t they already map pressure + information? They hold up their hands when they see a survivor and abuse me trying to fix a gen or stay up in chase.
Its their path finding problem. And I think its the only thing that's need to be buffed (fixed).
Beside, I think there should be item chests that generate like Singu's. That give survivor a flash option that can blind zombie (not Nemesis), so that survivors can have something to fight back if they have no flashlight, flashbang, any means.

I just edited to fully answer the edit of @I_CAME, but as I say, the escape rate on the video counts all 4 survivors in the match including him, and the final escape rate is 64.8%. So, you should have at least watched the video as well.
And my point had nothing to do with balancing in the first place, but the correct answer is no, the game should not be balanced around the top or bottom of the barrel, no matter how much of the player base is on either of those sides.
what do you say about a Blight with 99% kill rate?
Is it because the Blight is matched with bad survivors like Hens team matched with worse killers?
Or Blight proved that killers is op like youre trying to make the point with Hens team?
No game should ever balance around 5% of players base. And ignore the 95%. Thats how the game dies. Beside, youre in the 95, not the 5. Want the game to balanced around the group that youre not belong is something else. -

More Zombies.
The devs said the original plan was to give Nemesis 4 zombies, but Unreal4 couldn't handle it, so we only got 2 zombies with Nemesis. But we're on Unreal5 now, so we can definitely handle 4 zombies, maybe even 5 or 6 with addons.I think with 4 zombies, they can create areas for each zombie patrolling, they cant pass their own boundary. So 4 zombies dont clutter into the same part of the map…
-
I still dont know why instead of adding more lockers to equally buff Trickster and Dredge. They directly buff Huntress who is the strongest out of 3.
-
Cons of tunneling is leading killers to high MMR where they should not be and give killers an illusion that they're belong in high MMR.

The whole point of Haemorrhage is to counter healing effects, including these. Haemorrhage has already been nerfed and now only lasts a limited time.
To say that Resurgence or Solidarity should be immune to Haemorrhage is like saying flashbangs should bypass Lightborn because they're from a perk and not regular flashlights.
Its difference though.
Direct healing like Botany, desperate measure… are good because they dont really need a condition, passive healing needs something to work. And because of direct healing work when you're healing, which Hae effect does not work on them when they're working ; but passive healing perks become total useless.
Not mention that if killer is coming right at you, Botany may let finish a healing because it heals faster, while Solidarity cant because it takes longer to heal, which healing is disrupted, which Hae effect works against Solidarity.
They need to find a way that Hae effect works to both kind of healing equally. Making Hae works only on passive healing whilte its already weak is why no one use them.

One thing I never understood were the Mangled changes. Why nerf Mangled, a flat 25% heal addition that makes the heal take 4 seconds longer, when Haemorrhage is the more powerful part.
The point is: Mangled should be as it was before and Haemorrhage should have a timer.
Mangled add a flat 4sec longer on all healing? Not by multiplying (shorter with Botany and even longer with Selfcare)?

Killers who weak in chase but have build-in slowdown are great design for me. Alien is one of them with Pig, Pinhead, Unknown.

botany+resurgence with a med-kit is like a 5 second heal under hook. with mangled, it is 6.5 second heal. hemorrhage needs to have some use. Especially now since 80 second hemorrhage duration is borderline useless.
Mangled needs to flat out add 4sec per healing (standard for a 16sec healing that increased to 20sec), not by multiplying. Its weakened if survivors use Botany (add 2.75sec), but painful long heal if survivors self heal, especially using Self care (add 12sec).
With how Hae effect works, its either useless or totally delete the healing progress is a few seconds. Hae have to be changed how it works, may be stop healing mid way cut down the total progress by 50% then stop, thats it.
Then remove the timer.

solidarity no, but resurgence might need a heamorrhage protection since sloppy and most add ons will still be in effect after the hook rescue unless the person was let go second stage.
Botany saves flat out 5.5sec per healing on a teammate. Solidarity save 8sec(old) and 11sec(new) that only if both of you and teammate are injured. If either you or teammate not injured, Solidarity doesnt work.
In some situation, given there is limited time to make a healing, 12sec for example, Botany would complete a healing, then the healthy survivor can go unhook or go somewhere needed, but not possible for Solidarity that have to commit healing for both survivor.
Honestly the buff Solidarity needed is immune to Hae effect, not the number. Resurgence can keep the 70%.

Whats the funny part between Ironwill and BTB?
Because of Ironwill nerf, survivors didnt use the perk anymore. So its extremely rare to find a survivor that not grunting, which killers never expect BTB in play. And instantly lose track to survivor because they were grunting, then they dont.
The buffing back on Ironwill will make killers learn to play against silent survivors and use eyes more than sounds (which they can practice more frequently because now many survivors will use Ironwill), and BTB suddenly become weaker, despite not being touched.
Its similar to Unbreakable, almost became useless because DS hard nerf in 6.1.0

Blindness: I see so your bothered by the blindness for slugged and hooked. That's understandable.
Hinder Hunting: So because of 1 perk an entire build can be useless. You don't see an issue with that?
Patrol Gens: I don't think "killers" who say to walk away when they see the hearbeat say to do it every single time. At least I'm not saying that. Also assuming that no one is found that would be beneficial to survivors cause they aren't all sitting on the same gen. If they do get found then the others can do gens while one gets chased. I don't see how this can be bad for survivors in these situations.
Average size of a map isn't really reliable given how varied the map sizes are.
I love using 4 healing perks on Rebecca, and sometimes I face against Plague. Do killers have an issue with that?
I use 4 flashlight related perks on Haddie and killers have Lightborne. I dont see survivors complain about it
I have 4 aura perks on Jeff and killers have Mind breaker or UW. I dont complain about it either.
Perks are like rock paper scissors. You got 4 of them. If you pick 4 rocks just to meet a paper. Its not the paper thats strong. Its you picking 4 rocks. -

I honestly don't get all the fuss over this perk. Otz's argument essentially boils down to feeling bad for finding the same Survivor over and over again. I mean… OK? It's unfortunate when that happens, but so what? Doesn't mean the perk needs to change because some players run it to stay hidden while others don't and get found.
There are perks and items in the game to facilitate different Survivor play styles and playing stealthy by avoiding interaction with the Killer is one of them.
Sure, Distortion doesn't help the team and can sometimes harm it. But then again Sprint Burst, Lithe, Windows of Opportunity and more than a dozen other perks that I could mention don't help the team either. Most people run perks to keep themselves alive, since we all have our strengths and weaknesses after all. Some players put their own chances to escape above others. That's just how it goes in Solo Q and going into a match expecting others to play like they're in a SWF is just so unrealistic (that doesn't mean I don't think BHVR could do more to help Solo Q work as a team if they want to. They absolute could and should).
Anyway, I don't understand why this perk in particular gets singled out so often for criticism. I don't think it needs to change at all.
Its not unfortunate. 2 survivors sit on Gen, killer comes with aura reading.
- Distortion user knows they're being watched, the other doesnt.
- When killer comes, they dont see Distortion user's aura, dont see Distortion user's scratch mark as if Distortion user not exist. Only see aura and scratch mark of the other survivor.

For the blindness part: Even if you made it work on hooks It wouldn't really be that bad. It wouldn't be great obviously since it completely blocks BBQ and Chili but I don' think it would be that crazy. Also maybe it's cause I haven't played survivor recently, but what exactly was the issue with Ultimate Weapon's blindness? Besides the frequency of course.
For the Hinder hunting part: I'm sorry I didn't read that correctly that is my bad. While it doesn't hinder the killer's ability to hunt other survivors, what exactly is preventing all the survivors from bringing distortion?
For the Patrol Gens part: You say that but it doesn't work as easily as it sounds. Most killers have a 32 meter radius which gives survivors time to hide. There is also the issue that a lot of maps have big gen spread, which, I get why but it doesn't really make finding survivors that were doing gens simple if your using a lot of time finding a survivor that might not even be there. Survivors also have a 3rd person view while killer has a 1rst person view. Survivor can hide behind objects and see the killer while killer has a more limited view and can't see things as well.
The most annoying part of UW for me is blind the ability to see slugged and hooked teammates. Unlike killers, I dont mind if it blocks 30 aura perks.
For the Hinder hunting part: I'm sorry I didn't read that correctly that is my bad. While it doesn't hinder the killer's ability to hunt other survivors, what exactly is preventing all the survivors from bringing distortion?
Then the game become 3v12 perks. If killers use more than 1 aura perk and have 4 Distortion, its killers' fault.
For the Patrol Gens part: You say that but it doesn't work as easily as it sounds. Most killers have a 32 meter radius which gives survivors time to hide
I always love seeing killers say survivors can walk away when the visual heart beat starts to show you. But no one ever think about if survivors keep leaving Gen when 32m TR starts, they dont do Gens which is definitely killer's advantage.
Average maps' size is ~9000m square, 32m TR is ~3000m square. Covering about 1/3 the map.

Ultimate Weapon is assuming that the survivor is even in range.
Doesn't Residual Manifest do what you just described with a flashlight? If the match started without aura reading it's rough but otherwise, once you look around, it's not too difficult to remember.
I mean. It does hinder the killer from hunting the survivor. You can't find them.
Not having aura reading on killer is a problem . You don't see survivor where are you gonna go? Your going to stay where you know 1 is and 1 will (probably) show up. The hook. I can see how not having distortion could be a problem if your being targeted specifically which is why I prefer the idea of distortion getting tokens back while in chase. It would prevent the people who ONLY hide and don't do gens from hiding all game and would make situations of getting targeted less of a problem.
Both sides have problems with distortion not just survivor.
Doesn't Residual Manifest do what you just described with a flashlight? If the match started without aura reading it's rough but otherwise, once you look around, it's not too difficult to remember.
The perk blinds you when you're in chase with RM survivor. Your goal is to hit them, not seeing other survivors or Gen's aura.
My point made is the blindness happens when you just hook a survivor, its the moment you need to find Gens to patrol and survivors to hunt.
I mean. It does hinder the killer from hunting the survivor. You can't find them.
Let's try again, slowly: A survivor using Distortion does not hinder killers ability to hunt other survivors.

Patrol Gens that you know there are progression on it. Gen's aura is basekit for killer.

But your build is a choice of yours
Doesn't answer the question. Will killers ever get a perk that keeps survivors permanently exhausted (without being hex etc)? Will they get a perk that always turns a deep wound into actual downed state? Not to mention there are no survivor builds created only about one of these. Having one single perk disabling the whole playstyle and builds and forcing the killer to stand AFK in the basement for the whole trial once they don't find anyone with Lethal Pursuer is not a healthy game design.
Lightborne removes flashing mechanic.
Plague removes healing mechanic.
Ultimate weapon removes ~30 aura perks. For some reason you dont mention this but rather bring Exhaustion - the strongest survivors' mechanic to make a comparison to make up the point a perk deny a killer's mechanic is strong. Its like someone hits you on the shoulders then you hit them to the face saying "now you know how much pain I got", no its not the same.
Lethal pursuit killer with 4 Distortion survivors, after 10sec, the game become 3 vs 12 perks. Unless killers use 2 or more aura perks. Again, its killers' fault to use only aura perks.
-
@Junylar said:
If survivors have one single perk that turns off half of killer perks, can we have the same for killers? Like a perk that keeps all survivors permanently exhausted or something? Without it being a hex, of course, since Distortion is not a boon either.
Ultimate weapon disable a quater of survivors' perks. PLUS the basekit slugged and hooked teammates.
Give survivor a perk that after being hooked, gives killer blindness for 30sec and killers will see how much a pain when basekit aura get removed.
For Distortion.
A survivor using Distortion does not hinder killers ability to hunt other survivors. It requires all of them use Distortion to make killer cant use aura perks. But even then, killers use 4 aura perk is not survivors' fault.
The aura reading from killers is NOT that much of the problem, its that survivors who dont use Distortion DONT have a clue that they're being wall hacked. And constantly being the target if they're the only one not using Distortion.
Its survivors who should complain about Distortion, not killers.

Please stop blaming Otz for game changes that you don't personally like, the man is a content creator, and a very good one. He creates content and gives feedback on the game, however that doesn't mean that his feedback is listened to above everyone else - we listen and read pretty much everything.

Bad math is bad.
40% escape rate means survivors average 40 wins per 100 attempts (25 matches) while killers get a 60% kill rate, so they'll average 60 kills in 25 matches, or 2.4 kills a match. 2 kills is a draw, 3 is a win, so in theory there is a 40% chance of a killer to win any given match.
Also, including the mess of afk and 8 hook killers, a 60% kill rate translates closer to 70-80%.
There's a reason I don't use toxic tactics, and often keep my music running as killer... it's so easy it's almost boring most matches.
Everyone aware that the math is bad.

it is useless if they don’t bring an item but since killers can see the survivors in the lobby they can just lobby dodge in none have an item
I mentioned it. Like Lightborne, killers can use the perk ONLY if there are at least 2 flashlights. Same to this perk, they ONLY use if there are 3-4 items. So bringing the case where survivors dont bring item just to justify the perk is weak or useless is silly, using this perk when there is 1-2 items is on killers' fault, not the perk is weak.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Obviously diehard Killer Mains will defend the Perk. This just shows that the Perk is overtuned. That people call it weak is just a joke.
I usually bring Items I find to the corners of the Map, but the more it is used, the more the gameplay revolves away from the main Objective. And doing a "side objective" of basically delivering Items into a Corner where they dont provide Aura Read all the time is also neither healthy nor fun.
the perk (or perk combo) is in a strange spot. Its useless if survivors dont bring item, yes.
though killers totally not to use the perk if there are 1-2 items. But only if there are 4 of them for maximize the effect. If a perk can deny the usage of 4 items that can save alot of time. I dont think its that bad.
@VantablackPharaoh91 said:
Or maybe… you're relying too much on items to carry you? For Entity's sake half of the items Survivors have aren't even that good and you can ALWAYS get more, how the heck is aura reading after you drop an item even that big a deal?
Because you're that scared of losing an item because you need it to crutch on? Why not just… you know… run PERKS instead of ITEMS if it's a big deal?
Because you can't get around it with Distortion? Friend you can't get around loads of things with Distortion. Calm down, this is way weaker minor non-offensive pressure than stacked Pain-Pop-Grim-DMS EVER was, and a hell of a lot less painful.
Why do you NEED to crutch on items so hard, you will throw the game to retrieve it because of two little perks that mean the KIller is running two less annoying things such as… I dunno… Pop-Pain Res which is still meta?
Why on earth are Killers always expected to learn, adapt, and try new things when Survs get strong stuff… but when something comes out that is strong for them, Survivors never ever want to adapt to it themselves and IMMEDIATELY call for nerfs? It was Alien, then Ultimate Weapon (which did need it), then Chucky, then Unknown, then gen control, then Vecna, now it's this. Always something, keep moving the goalposts, why can Survivors have nice things and never have to adapt but Killers cannot and always have to change constantly? That's not fair. Both sides need to learn to adapt. Personally as Survivor I adapt and change up my builds frequently the second there's something new for Killers. And as Killer, I've also needed to adapt more and more as stronger things for Survivor come out. This is part of the game.
Survivors get to have their same meta forever, but Killers have had to adapt more and more and more enough times over the course of 8. Friggin'. Years.
It is Survivor side's turn now.
I dont know how many nice things survivors get in the past and in the future.
But it will never beat the nice thing Devs give to killers: decisions to brought up 20% of kill rate it used to be.
Can you image if Devs increase the Gen time to 200sec per Gen but at the same time wants the kill rate dropped to 40%? That nice thing of 200sec Gen now sounds not so nice.

Gonna take more than a few seconds.
Assuming you aren't being chased, you need to do the following:
Remember where your teammates dropped their items at.
Run to that place on the map.
Pick up the item.
Run to a corner.
Drop the item.
Travel back to do something useful.
I know that we are only allowed to exist in incredibly biased niches, per DBD law, but I do think a lot of Killer players really underestimate more derived forms of slowdown. That's not insignificant and it will happen a couple of times during a match.
Couple that with some very good aura-reading and you've got a very nice build, especially on Killers like Vecna, Huntress, DS, etc etc who get value from aura-reading.
I think unless there are 3-4 items laying on the ground, 1-2 items arent worth the time it buy for 2 perks.
Though people always underestimate the time it takes to do anything as survivors, like they just teleport to an item then teleport to a corner then teleport back to a Gen.
But of course killers can not to use those 2 perks when there are 1-2 items but only for at least 3 of them to make sure their combo works. Which definitely can be annoying to play against. The best counter to the perks combo is the same as Lightborne, its not about not bringing items/flashlight, but everyone bringing items/flashlight then remove their items at 0:06

It's just math.
16 hook states x 40% escape rate x 4 (SWF) = 2560% escape rate.
It takes at least 10 seconds to hook a survivor and 45 seconds minimum PER HIT x 4 (SWF) x 16 hooks / 60 minutes = 30 hours to play for 16 hooks against a top MMR SWF.
The problem? The average MMR day/night cycle is 24 hours. 24-30 x 4 (SWF) = -24 hours. Because they're on comms, they're a day ahead of killers. It's math.
I hate how a SWF know Im going to play DBD at 21:06 tomorrow as Trapper with Plaything and Pentimento so they would log in at 21:05 using Map items with Boon to counter. One of them even use Plot twist with Nomither to deny my Corrupted intervention.

What catch up mechanic killer has?
2-3 hooks with 4 Gens done lead to 3-4K in the end happens much more often than 1 teammate dead at 4 Gens remaining resulting 3 escapes.
I feel everyone understand the reason why after playing for 50 hours.
