So I have had 3 matches as pinhead, the first two disconnected me but still have points. I know devs are aware and looking at this. The third one however I managed to play all the way through. I enjoy the killer. I feel he needs couple of buffs though.
- when teleporting to a survivor who is messing with a lament configuration, I feel. This needs to be faster teleporting. Either base kit or with an add on.
- when using possessed chain I would like it lasting longer base kit. (maybe even able to injure survivors it hits)
- pinhead needs to be faster himself. Not by much but a fraction as I feel like. He is relatively slow.
he is the same speed as trapper. 4.6

Nah. Haters are wrong. Dbd has gotten boring. Its literally the same ######### everyday.
-
Brutal/bamboozle since most survivors now just predrop pallets and shift+w

Survivors killing themselves on hook for their own bosted plays is always a sight to see.
Worse thing is Survivors trying to Kobe when you're trying to save them though, do that with me and I'll let you hit struggle. Don't go neglecting my points
Reminds me when i kobed infront of 2 survs coming to unhook me. I will never stop trying.

Just had a game where i used Lithe, and after activating it ingame, my spring burst never ended. I could keep that speed for the rest of the game.
Anyone else had this? Is it a common bug or what? Was fun as long as it lasted.
Posting here to make BHVR aware of it.
I had a simular bug years ago but for adrenaline. This means soon the hill glitch will be back?

I think 2k would be fine but eh..
So killers who can be nice, would instead be forced to kill and ruin others experience for event? I mean yes some killers do anyways but some killers are just farming bp and chilling this event

How do you plan to continue playing DbD?
Will you stay on Ps4 for a long time, do you want to switch to a Ps5 or to another console/PC? Would you switch only with crossprogression?
To the former ps4-player: What are you playing now? Are you happy with your decision? Which problems occurred?
I want to play on PC in the future (2022), but only with crossprogression.
Tbh i used some of my stimulus money to make the switch to pc.

Congratz. My hardest one was trickster cause when he first came out he was so bugged

Let me ask you this. How would you change killers side? Make them 4k for crown?

Running noed. The amount of salt survs give me after. Me getting a 4k cause of noed is yeees

Indeed. It's honestly more like 70/30 these days because I can't sit through the queue times for Survivor
Im 40/60. Surv side. Cause i have loads of friends playing. God we arent even 50/50 anymore. We failed the forums :(

I try to play 50/50 so that I can understand issues from both sides. It was a decision I made prior to joining the Forums, since I was a Survivor main.
I too play 50/50. 50/50 club?

I want to point out. Most maps totems arent well hidden. Also there are so many things to counter totems.

It is literally the free kill perk. No perk should get you a free kill just because you equip the perk. It should take skill to use. It's based on the survivors abilities to do bones, nothing the killer did.

I'm not a killer main and yet I experience far more toxicity as killer than as survivor, and as a survivor I even get toxicity from teammates so in theory the amount of complete dickheads should be much higher. But, no, something about this game really does make people okay with going out of their way to antagonise killers.
I said it before and ill say it again. Its because survivors literally feels safe. 3 chances to not die. 2 health states. If you have basic loop understanding then you can waste killer time. Not to mention the shift+w pradrop meta. Survs just feels too safe. And they control the pacing of the match. So they piss killers off cause they know it.
-
Oh i admit im carried by 2 if my surv perks. Sb and bt.

It will not be scrapped. So why putting energy into writing it should be scrapped?
MMR will be terrible, nobody wants it, still it will be released.
Breakable Walls are poorly excecuted, nobody likes them, still they are added to every Map.
And Overheat is pointless, still, the Devs worked on it.
All stuff which will stay in the game, once they have worked on it, it will stay.
I disagree on the Add Ons tho. Hillbilly does not need Add Ons to begin with and I rather have Add Ons which are not really useful than those who buff aspects like Chargetime or Cooldown, because those were problematic. And I dont really want those to return.
I actually want mmr...

"ShE nEeDs CoUnTeRpLaY"
Does she now? Interesting.
How do you counterplay deadhard for distance?
How do you counterplay optimal swf?
How do you counter iron will reliably?
How do you counter calm spirit as doctor?
How do you counter survivor exaustion perks reliably?
How do you counter a shift+w prepallet dropping survs?
Point is, things are broken on both sides. Is spirit strong? Yes. Does she excel at 1v1? Hell yea. But its a teambased game.
Idk. I just dont get the hate. I just use spine chill and hide when it lights up. When im in the chase. I just buy my team enough time as i can.
If i was to nerf spirit tho. I guess recharge speed addons should go.
-
Because they don't see the bigger picture.
If mmr happens, they can better balance killer. If they can better balance killer then maybe the people who ######### about spirit can get her nerfed. Also the weaker killers can get buffed.
But as i said, idiots cant see the bigger picture on why mmr is a good thing for longterm game.
-
Nah. Tbh the salt threads are interesting to read.

Killers and survivors should have unique passives to make each engagement more dynamic.

Best part of this. Sluzzy came on to show these amateurs how it is done.

I wasn't made aware that bodyblocking is voluntarily being tunneled. Huh. The more you know. As long as the obsession keeps healing and bodyblocking for his teammates, he can make life miserable for STBL users.
Only time bodyblocking gets you tunneled is bt bodyblocking.

Yeah it's an over the top grind.
I always thought an extra perk slot or adding some basic perk to your base kit would be a cool incentive to prestige. Nothing meta or OP, but for survivors maybe it would add something like Kindred, Bond, or Deja Vu to your basekit once you fully prestiged or one for each prestige level. Same with killers, except it would add basic perks like bitter murmur, deerstalker, or iron grasp to your base kit for each prestige level or just one when you fully prestige. I dont think it would any more unbalanced than things already are for survivors since you'd be giving them a perk to their base kit that they get when they play swf anyway and for killers you'd be giving them some basic perks to their base kit that otherwise never get played anyway.
IMO the cosmetic isn't worth it when there's already other great cosmetics you can just buy.
Or make killers/survs have a passive ability which gets stronger with each prestige level.

Add 1-2 new totems that burn green. Some add-ons on killers will be reworked to turn into the Hex add-ons. One of these include: Fragrant Tuft Of Hair (Myers). I find it incredibly boring when a Myers has infinite Evil Within III which there is basically no counter-play other than don’t get caught, though, it is supposed to be INFINITE, it will be infinite if no survivors cleanse that totem.
.... you do realize you can do almost all the gens bedore myers can get that off? Not to mention he has to stalk almost all 4 survivors to full?

Bamboozle is such a meta, I can't even think of any other better perk on most killers. Sure, Nurses and Spirits don't need it but there are plenty of killers who can't get downs without it and the perk serves them kills.
Yea? Does it?
-
I mean i can think of more. But seriously survs need to chill with the whole "this is op pls nerf". Or my favorite "this is boring"
-
This has to be bait. Cause i can think of 5 killer perks better than bamboozle.

Isn't that... like... a good thing, technically? You want to keep the killer on you anyways.
Not to mention that if the obsession is being tunneled, the Killer loses their stacks. If the Killer refuses to chase the obsession, the obsession can punish this by bodyblocking the Killer and rushing gens when they know the Killer won't stop them.
Shh... dont teach them things have work around and strats. /s

Thanks for all the feedback you’ve been providing thus far on the MMR Test that’s going on.
We’ve made adjustments since the previous tests and this has meant that the data collected was reset for this particular test. In view of that, you might find more disparity between your matches initially (especially with killers that you’ve not played much of recently) but with continued play these matches should balance out as the system adjusts to what is happening live, resulting in more balanced matches.
We will be continuing to monitor and welcome your further feedback.
Holy #########, the devs did actually throw out the data for this test.
Interesting.
-
@Orion said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2259144#Comment_2259144
To be clear, you're saying that:
- MMR necessarily has to start everyone at zero
- The devs have been gathering MMR data for months in preparation for this test
- Despite having months of data, they decided to reset everyone's MMR anyway (i.e.: throw away months of data-gathering) so everyone starts at 0 anyway
Do I have that right? Does that seem reasonable to you?
While you make good points let me counter.
While mmr doesnt have to start at zero, it does have to start at a baseline which can equal to zero. While yes, they gathered data for months, what could they possibly do with that data with match making all over the place? Therefore is highly likely your mmr would be zero. Esp on killers you hardly play.
No, i dont think they threw away that data, but i believe that data cant be used in this test because of the fact matchmaking was all over the place. Their data gathering can mean a bunch of things, from mmr ratings, to rating changes, to even guage what killers preform how good where. Or even how to score the mmr. Just killing shouldnt do it. Or just escaping.
What im saying is likely, the mmr has to start at a baseline. Always. Baseline can = zero (like wow mmr for example) and each match you win you gain mmr to face more skilled opponents.
So let me ask you a question: do you think its likely, they gathered data to give people ratings on the matches during the test (which if they did. They failed) or a bunch of things in mmr, like the best way to score mmr gains and losses and everyone starts at a baseline mmr? (Baseline = zero)
-
@MadLordJack said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2259111#Comment_2259111
What exactly do you think that means? Are you really so embarrassed at being wrong that you're going to play the semantics game?
Semantics are in every argument. What it means is gathering data. How are they gathering data if they dont have a point to start trom? That point to start from would have to be baseline. Baseline = 0.
If youre gonna come at me with such a weaksauce argument and then try to attack my character, do better. If not. Then pls do not waste my time.

Yes, but OP is referring to all killers, not just from killers you don't play often.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2259120#Comment_2259120
So why should we take you at your word when the devs have said that's not how it works?
How many games you play that has mmr? If you played loads, than you would know my argument isnt that off.

that was the first thing I tried was killers I rarely and I truly mean rarely used and still got nothing but rank 1-2's with a couple 3's sprinkled in here and there. Which is what i play on a normal basis with my mains/any killer so what's the difference? Sounds like you either get sweatfest or easy mode both suck and I was already on break from the game but wanted to check out the MMR.
Those survs could of been near those killers mmr. Which happens. Unfortunately. For example last night i got a nurse where i destroyed with a sabobuild. Turns out they were rank 10. (Ranks dont matter) game before that i got destroyed by a clown. Its gonna take a min to get stablized
-
@gibblywibblywoo said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/256133/hard-fact-about-mmr
I think they should have given a starting number of points based on current rank or rank at last reset or something. Would have been nice.
I really don't want to have to play 10 games against absolute potatos every time I play a different killer.
Thats valid but like placement matches happen in most mmr games. So you may get potatoes. You may get gods.

Literally launching dbd will ruin the new player experience. Who are we kidding. The tutorial is out of date. Game is way complex then what can actually be taught. And way to much grind and perks. But yes. Mmr will ruin it.

According to the devs, the system is supposed to have taken in measurements before it was activated. Where do you get "MMR starts at 0" from?
Because every game has mmr starts at zero? Can you post where the devs said that about mmr?
