I can make make sure that this is passed along to the team. Would it be possible to get a little more information about the matches in which you received "go next" warnings so we can better look into this?

Specifically, could you describe how the match went, approximately how long into the match were you tunneled, and whether any hook states were spread to other players during the period you were tunneled? Were you hooked first and then tunneled out before anyone else received hook states? With information like this, we can better understand what might be happening here.

Please stop trying to make this system work it NEVER WILL.

  • If survivor played better they would win more often as someone who plays solo survivor it blows my mind how truly terrible the general survivor player base is. It 's things like not doing a gen when a killer is in chase, hovering around a chase with a flashlight for a save that will never come (some people hover around a chase to just watch, it's happened to me). Somehow getting two tapped by an m1 killer when you can hold w and a least get at least 5 seconds, getting grabbed by a a killer with a terror radius, hiding in lockers at full heath and getting grabbed out of them, Saving in front of a killers face and expecting them not to chase the guy with one less heath state, or pressing 2 to slap another survivors butt when there is a survivor on hook and another in chase.

I have never seen a more sorry group of gamers then other survivors it's as if they've never played a video game before. And to the P100s who never bothered to get better and are consistently the worst on my teams and treat the game like it's VR chat please do a gen you'll have more fun when you are winning.

She is a 110% killer with no map pressure whatsoever and an okay chase. She is currently one of the weakest killers in the game and seriously needs beefy buffs.

Huntress weak now I know your baiting, She has a low kill rate because she is highly picked. giving a killer with an infinite distance projectile 115% speed tells me that your opinion with balance should be discarded. You know why she is highly picked because she's been over buffed and so boosted killers are playing her it's a real nurse situation.

  • @GlamourousLeviathan said:

The only killers that make sense being 110% are Hag and Spirit. Deathslinger, Huntress, Chucky, and Trickster should be 115%. It doesn't make sense these killers being 110% when there are 115% killer with much better chase powers and actual 4v1, like Artist, Blight, Plague, and Unknown.

Huntress 115, I want what ever you're smoking, she still needs her buffs reverted my guy.

  • because they aren't the same, this would be like saying we shouldn't have Jason in the game because we already have a tall beefy white guy slasher in Myers.

Okay so I was being to charitable when I said it was a bug. If you want people to use your new stuff and you have it cheaper for only some people they won't use it, and this is unlike every other bundle you guys have ever released where you can own part of it, I'm going to call BS either have a bundle for all or none don't punish people for playing your game longer, what are doing guys. If you guys are going to emulate Fortnite you have to emulate it fully and guess what bundles are available for everyone in Fortnite no matter how much you've purchased.

Honestly i didnt even think about that… yeah, it also helps to know where the chase is being done actually. Another point to WoO i suppose.

Same with a killer breaking a wall at the beginning of the game, WoO works as a pseudo Lethal Pursuer for survivors on maps like Dead dog

  • @albertoplus said:

Its kinda interesting to see people always try to embrace the "it only helps new players to know where pallets are" route to not get WoO nerfed, while in reality it also helps 5k hours players by knowing where their non-swf teammates did drop the pallets. Unless with hours played you get some kind of omnipresence and know exactly what are the killer and the chased survivor doing on every situation (dont think thats the case, because otherwise old Eruption would still have the incapacitated effect as players would knew exactly the moment the killer is going to hit the survivor and stop repairing the gen to not get incapacitated) then it also helps people with thousands of hours, and a lot.

Fun fact: recently Otz made a new "killer and survivor perks tier list". When i started the video i though that probably WoO would be for him some kind of D or E tier perk, but to my surprise he did put on the A category, just the next perk after the S perks, as a very very very strong perk.

The reasons? Exactly for what i said. Yes it helps newer players to know the pallet spawns, but it also helps everyone to know the pallets that have been thrown and destroyed already. You get chased, go into a loop tile that you know it spawns a pallet, but guess what? it was used already and the killer hits you. If you were wounded already then you go down and hooked, a mistake that knowing the pallet situation beforehand you could have prevented and extended the chase.

WoO is borderline overpowered and needs nerfs.

People also forget to mention this but if you really pay attention while using WoO as the perk has utility, you can tell where a chase is taking place if you pay attention to the HUD and see a pallet get dropped you know where at least a singular survivor and the killer are eliminating the need to run perks like empathy or bond (this fact alone should be enough to get WoO nerfed due to it outclassing those perks), people really underrate WoO like when people really underrated Dead Hard and something tells me with how loud everyone is about it not needing a nerf. it needs a nerf.

It's funny cuz i think they want the rift to be like fortnite's battle pass but fortnite has just stopped making their battle passes exclusive

That doesn't mean stuff like the the superstyles (Dbds deep rift equivalent) will be available, in fact fortnite has made it clear they won't be. I know people hate to hear this but, GaaS games do need to reward their long time players with exclusive things.

Name one trick you could do before that you cant anymore BECAUSE of Overheat

Don't change the subject. you got caught in a lie, as he was objectively nerfed.

I will not answer your question as I am not and have never been a Billy main nor do I desire to play the watered down version of him funky camera and all.

From one not Billy main to another you should stop speaking for them.

Ok.. Ive been finding enjoyment in Billy and lots of the tricks you could do before you can still do now, people werent playing Billy before the rework, they were playing his add ons. Devs said they wouldn't really touch his base kit and thats exactly what they did

Also a killer like Slinger who didnt really give much choices to the survivor was going to get changed, a rework would of probably been a better idea than a full on nerf tho

"Devs said they wouldn't really touch his base kit and thats exactly what they did"

    Why lie.

Adding two mechanics, (overheat and cooldown) are massive changes to his basekit, but I guess objectively nerfing his chainsaw isn't a basekit change? LOL you're hilarious.

  • Sorry had some bad info thought Guerrilla was like Sucker Punch Productions who struck out on their own a few times.

Turns out Sony most likely put Horizon out on the PC because they could sell a three year old game at full price on a new SKU and tease what the PS5 could do (as they added more graphic options).

Doesn't make it anymore likely that TLOU gets in as Sony seems to be just as protective of their IPs as Nintendo (Why Fatal Frame is a pipe dream in my opinion) unless Sony changes their stances on their IPs on other rival consoles I wouldn't get your hopes up.

You're better off bugging Microsoft as they are willing to have their franchises on other consoles would be interesting to see an Alan Wake paragraph or a Stalker chapter or whatever else is apart of the Microsoft homunculus.

Psst... if I were BHVR I would look at the other Third party studios like:

Sega (Condemned, House of the Dead)

    Rockstar (Manhunt)

    Capcom again (Dead Rising, DMC)

    Square Enix (Parasite Eve)

THQ Nordic (Alone in the Dark)

or figuratively raid the indies and look at games like: Outlast, Amnesia, FNAF, Metro, or hell even something like Postal would fit right in,

Two things can be true at the same time.

Yes things being incredibly hard is unfun.

But, so is things being incredibly easy.

You do realize that licensers can say one thing to a game and another to a different one, right?

Plus. VERY important detail to notice, it doesn't look like in Tom Clancy's the Division you play AS Leon or Jill or Nemesis, you simply wear the same clothes they have, on an original character

Who knows, maybe Capcom doesn't want LEON to have mixed cosmetics, but they don't care about a random character wearing some odd combination of clothes

If BHVR didn't have a penchant towards lying you might be on to something, but do really think Capcom cares about the integrity of it's characters when they put costumes like these into it's games.

    image.png image.png image.png image.png

and don't forget this same company that made Dead rising.

    image.png

A game in which grown men can squeeze into outfits made for a toddler.

You think they care THAT much?

  • So, I've done a bit more research and other games that have had recent crossovers with Resident Evil allow you to mix and match cosmetics more specifically Tom Clancy's the Division

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0682XSeXu3M

(every single cosmetic you see in the video is mixable)

So we know Capcom had nothing to do with the decision, so either BHVR pushed it on Capcom, or they are lying to our faces.

    I predict the later.

But, so much for preserving the characters eh @MandyTalk

    #Unlinkthesets

  • @Mandy said:

  • @Salty_Pearl said:

There's no reason for Jill or Leon's outfits to be sets, they were perfectly fine unlinked. While we are at it, how about unlinking all the other sets that don't need to be linked? COUGH TWINS COUGH

You know what the best part of that twins cosmetic?

It's that the ad for it does not have the linked symbol meaning it wasn't supposed to be linked.

I mean all the evidence is staring you in the face... and your response nah that's dumb.

    What?

  • @Dabihwow said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2210136#Comment_2210136

I agree for the most part saying either NEmesis or Mr.X should be the killer because their iconic is so no-brainer it literally takes next to no thought process at all. If you are just using the fact they are iconic as your best defense that's really terrible. Look at the licensed killers from before, and lets try to give them the reason why they should be in DBd without saying the word Iconic.

Michael Myers: He is the literal embodiment of evil, and one of the first-ever slashers, and brought true terror.

Leatherface: he was the very first Slasher in existence

Freddy Krueger: He gives people the fear of falling asleep and is stands among the other slashers

Pig: She represents the twisted sadism that only few can endure even though shes not Jigsaw

GF: He literally is the Deadpool of the slashers ( by Deadpool I mean he constantly pokes fun at the slasher series) all the more while still being scary about

Demo: Its a literal ######### monster, that is from a popular Tv show, plus he's a good puppy dog

Pyramid Head: THe literal embodiment of damnation, and punishment, how can you not add that.

Now looking at Nemesis and Mr.X, they have next to nothing on what I just listed

You're just going to ignore the press release where the game's director literally states the content coming to dbd will be iconic

Behaviour Interactive and Capcom announce a Dead by Daylight crossover during the April 2021 Resident Evil Showcase, with more details to come.

    again specifically this paragraph:

"In a press release sent out from Dead by Daylight following the reveal, Creative Director Dave Richard said it is "an absolute honor and joy to welcome the original survival horror game" into The Entity's universe, and that players can expect "iconic content and novel ways to sacrifice or survive inspired by the renowned franchise.""

How is it a terrible argument when the devs literally state that's what's happening.

  • @LazyPayday said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2209773#Comment_2209773

Two new killers would definitely be surprising, but I doubt it. They can't handle one ambiguous killer without breaking the game (Twins), you really think they'd make two different powers? Especially with characters that resemble each other so closely you could easily just make one a skin and no one would complain. It would explain why Trickster was so bland though.

    @Elena said:

The word "iconic" has started to become thrown around in the Dead by Daylight community, a lot of people use it to support their argument about why a killer may be "iconic" enough to come into Dead by Daylight.

    @Dabihwow said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2209214#Comment_2209214

Yeah I've realized that and tbh, it shouldn't be used when trying to argument why you want this killer or that survivor. There actions and terror they bring should be used for why they should come in. I want to see someone show that without saying the word iconic

The reason why people are using Iconic as an argument is due to this press release in which the devs state they will be taking Iconic content from the series.

    https://gamerant.com/dead-by-daylight-resident-evil-crossover-june-2021/

    specifically this paragraph

"In a press release sent out from Dead by Daylight following the reveal, Creative Director Dave Richard said it is "an absolute honor and joy to welcome the original survival horror game" into The Entity's universe, and that players can expect "iconic content and novel ways to sacrifice or survive inspired by the renowned franchise.""

That's true, but I hope you're wrong. If you can slot 5 different legendary skins on a killer and have them all fit, it means you have a very generic killer whose power lacks personality. Even if they did go for a generic Tyrant though they'd probably choose the RE2 one because he's far more popular since two years ago. The RE1 Tyrant would end up being the skin.

The problem with the Mr.X (I know just to differentiate the two) Is the massive Arm Tyrant has as a weapon. If it's Tyrant I do hope they don't have him be a generic m1 killer (Personally I could see a transformation power similar to oni in that you activate it, maybe permeant buffs as he mutates through the match There's a lot they could do, but I get the concern)

Mr. X is basically a regular tyrant, just a finished, mass-produced one.

I have a feeling the killer will actually be The Tyrant from RE:1 (even matches the naming convention).

Just to add to the speculation If it was The Tyrant, the amount of cosmetics they could make is high as there is basically a tyrant (or something like one) in every RE game.

First and foremost, I'm going to ask you to refer to me with my full name, "GoodBoyKaru". "Karu" is for people I like, and people I like only. You know, friends

You and I both know we aren't idoits

Debatable. Take that as you wish.

You know exactly what I am arguing...

Something entirely irrelevant to my original points so, yeah, I'm gonna keep being a pedantic ######### about it.

Also Karu who gets decided what is relevant in a conversation about bugs. Somebody is literally telling BHVR get their [BAD WORD] together and your Argument is they don't have to while yes you are "correct" you don't effect how correct everyone else is so please get of your high horse.

Okay so firstly it's a donkey.

Secondly, in the overall scheme of bugs, sure. But that's not what I'm arguing for. I'm arguing for my original point which is that there hasn't been a bugfix patch for half a month so no new bugs would've been fixed in this time. Would you like to write it in bright pink next time or is this adequate?

You've managed to, once more, completely miss my point. Try reading it again and, here's a tip, aim for the northern hemisphere because you'll hit a lot closer. As fun as this has been, I'm gonna end the conversation here because honestly it's like talking to a wall, except the wall doesn't try to contradict you by talking about something completely different.

    Have a good day :)

Not once has my conversation drifted. My points has been form the start BHVR get your ######### together.

I have read your posts multiple times and get bits and pieces nothing definitive maybe your just terrible at explaining your points unless your point is literally they are BHVR so what they say goes. In which case what a terrible argument.

For someone who argues in bad faith all the time GoodBoy doesn't seem to fit but your constant bad faith arguments are incredible to watch as I never expect a coherent point from you but please explain your point in a single sentence so I can understand if you don't want me thinking your only point is that they are BHVR so what they say goes unless that is your point in which case don't because this

"more bugs are made and the bugs you want fixed aren't but bugs are fixed when the game is updated. with the exception of the stun bug, that is."

is a more complicated way to say

"They are BHVR so what they say goes"

Oh and Karu (you don't get to complain with the amount of insults you throw around) You being a "pedantic #########" And getting to the point of Arguing over what we are arguing about isn't pedantic it's acting in bad faith and is a terrible flaw in your character.

And you want to know how I know because the comment that I made that you are trying to pass of as pedantic is something you tried to argue yet failed to do so effectively.

and to end it BHVR get your ######### together.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

But BHVR aren't the companies behind BFV. They're BHVR. And all other companies have failed where they've succeeded so their failures to fix bugs? Their lack of balance? It's clearly working.

To use a real example that happened Ubisoft have Disabled multiple characters in Rainbow 6 Siege some for weeks at time until the bug is fixed maybe we should steal business practices from Successful multiplayer genre's. (Stop excusing BHVR when the competition in their genre is worse then them (HSH devs) When their competition in other PvP multiplayer games is lightyears ahead).

Yeah just disable palelts alltogether. Or disable killers. Or disable lunging. What an amazing idea.

Also Your point doesn't negate his points as you are trying to (argue?) (convince yourself of?) the companies perspective when @BananaBlooD95 is essentially saying get your S together

I wasn't attempting to argue against their points because they hold no relevant to the topic. Do keep up xo

Then by all means look inside the spaghetti code, held together with blueprints and fix the chest bug or breakdown bug without removing Huntress' hatchets and making Trickster moonwalk whenever he throws knives, whilst now turning chests sideways. People "jokes" about the spaghetti code in this game for a reason- that's the very reason it's so buggy.

The thing about programming is you don't see what's wrong with it just by looking- there could be one semi-colon missing, or one thing indented slightly wrong, and the entire thing falls apart.

But if it's so easy- good news! BHVR are hiring specifically for DBD (or were until recently) and they pay exceptionally well for the development industry so give it a go.

But it isn't as easy as it looks, or sounds, especially with the blueprint base. Changing one thing there would genuinely break half the game. The foundation of DBD is made honeycomb and, as such, will break very easily.

Karu I will ask you to not argue in bad faith as You and I both know we aren't idoits

    and when I am saying:

"If we are going to use an example Imagine if in Battlefield 5 Sniper Bullets just didn't drop. that's the pallet bug. As I said all hands on deck it would be fixed in a day."

    before this:

"To use a real example that happened Ubisoft have Disabled multiple characters in Rainbow 6 Siege some for weeks at time until the bug is fixed maybe we should steal business practices from Successful multiplayer genre's. (Stop excusing BHVR when the competition in their genre is worse then them (HSH devs) When their competition in other PvP multiplayer games is lightyears ahead)."

You know exactly what I am arguing. So don't intentional misconstrue my arguments by saying BS like

"Yeah just disable palelts alltogether. Or disable killers {Nice job sneaking the one that BHVR might actually have to do with all the others}. Or disable lunging. What an amazing idea."

Also Karu who gets decided what is relevant in a conversation about bugs. Somebody is literally telling BHVR get their ######### together and your Argument is they don't have to while yes you are "correct" you don't effect how correct everyone else is so please get off of your high horse.

People have been fine to respond to me for coming up 3 years and 8,575 posts so I see no reason to change.

The person I was replying to with the patch notes missed my point by about a continent so I saw no reason to discuss it as it held no relevance (which, btw, yours doesn't :p)

If this was any other game company other then the pallet bug (which if we are being honest here should be all hands on deck until it's fixed) they would be disabled.

Then give it to any other company. We can look at a bunch of other examples of companies that tried. Gun Media with F13th? Game died. Chongming Studio with Soul At Stake? Game never even got started in the Western market (which, btw, DBD is very popular in the Eastern Market). Elastic Games with Last Year? Game died. YGGDRAZIL GROUP with HSH:S? Not out of Early Access so I don't feel like making a comment on it.

DBD, despite it's flaws, is the only game that has survived under BHVRs care. So, sure, give it to another company and watch it die.

No BHVR NEEDS to GET it's PRIOTIES IN CHECK Like other companies,

If we are going to use an example Imagine if in Battlefield 5 Sniper Bullets just didn't drop. that's the pallet bug. As I said all hands on deck it would be fixed in a day.

I don't want another company I want BHVR TO BE BETTER.

Also Your point doesn't negate his points as you are trying to (argue?) (convince yourself of?) the companies perspective when @BananaBlooD95 is essentially saying get your S together

Do me a favour, my guy, and use the eyes that Mother Nature gave you (or ears, with a text reader, in case you're blind) to actually read the things I say in the thread, would you?

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/JZS8R2U4Q84B/image.png

Bugs get fixed. They may not be the bugs you want fixed but bugs do get fixed when the game is updated.

My point is that chests are bugged and the game hasn't been updated since 4.6.1, which was half a month ago. The way OP worded their thread title ("Still finding keys nearly every chest search") implies they think something would've changed when there's been no fixes to it.

It's amazing what you can do if you actually pay attention to what other's are saying. I'd reccommend it sometime.

Should they have been priority? Yes. Were they? Maybe- it's entirely possible they were and just couldn't be fixed (even if they thought they had in one case)- or maybe not. That doesn't contradict my point in the slightest.

    Sit down.

May be if you cut the snark you would be a more pleasant person, just a word of advice.

When you are responding someone who made a point and then you intentionally missed the point and just posted patch notes, sure is an own.

Again to spell the point out for you THESE FIXES SHOULD'VE/SHOULD BE THE NUMBER 1 PRIOITY.

If this was any other game company other then the pallet bug (which if we are being honest here should be all hands on deck until it's fixed) they would be disabled.

With the exception of the Pallet Stun Bug, these were fixed.

    Patch 4.6.2... doesn't exist.

Patch 4.7.0 has yet to release.

    So... your point?

    His Point is pretty obvious:

Three huge bugs that were in the game before 4.6.1 those being

    1. No stun on pallet drop when the killer lunge
    2. Breakdown break hooks for the rest of the game
    3. Chest now have a better chance at giving keys than Plunderer's Instinct

Are still in the game when these should've been priority number one for 4.6.1.

What's your point? That they are working on other things?

Because if that's your point it's a bad one because prioritization exists.

His points still make a lot of sense though. I still play billy and enjoy him but his overheat needs some tuning

It's obvious they didn't watch the video

Trickster buffs, OoO nerf, Demo buffs, Huntress buffs, key nerf, twins buffs, soul guard nerf, BT nerf, Zanshin buff, and the Devs official announcement that they absolutely hate solo que. Also called them tying a totem counter to a mediocre perk.

"OH WAIT, Zanshin buff. yeah you are right totally killer sided how could they buff the most OP perk in the game. Killers are gonna start 5king at this rate." (did you even read the last post he made as Zagrid undercuts one of your points right there)

Demo "buffs" yeah the "three" but really two buffs he got to teleportation really make up for nerfing most of his add-ons. (A one second "buff" to his undetectable status will do nothing)

Huntress Add-on pass is a mix of nerfs and buffs overall she hasn't changed.

Key "nerf" changes nothing about how keys are used and will not change the core problems with it.

Twins "buffs" are to two add-ons while nerfing basekit.

BT was nerfed by 3 seconds after getting an astronomically stronger effect.

The devs have admitted that the Soul Guard nerf means nothing to anyone using it normally. "Realistically, this won’t affect the vast majority of cases. This change is purely to prevent stacking healing speeds and Soul Guard from getting out of hand."

OoO is being reworked let's wait before we call it a "nerf".

Also Trickster buffs should not be considered apart of this patch as they have come out... Today.

Devs hating solo que is conjecture.

To the last point I think you and the other two people who really care about the totem counter are justified it's just you may have to pick your battles.
