This is my thought, too. Nothing about Claudette's lore leads me to think she'd even wear a thong, much less have it showing out of her pants.
Do Meg and Jake's 80s attires match their lore, do David and The Doctors Naval Outfits match their lore, do any of the Greek skins. I don't know if that reasoning works. If the lore thing was applied to everyone it would.

I refuse to camp
If I lost I'll stand by the exit gate waiting to open it. If I hook someone during EGC I'm not standing there waiting for them to die. Don't judge a book by it's cover😁
But... you haven't lost. Why give up?

Can we stop blaming the other side for bugs. when everyone knows where the scorn should be pointed towards.

Reminds me of the old basement glitch where survivors literally couldn't see or escape the basement if they were hooked there, and killers constantly abusing it with agitation builds, and defending their exploiting of the glitch. Good times...
It is really unfortunate that bug happened to line up with an archive challenge (within the last two weeks of an archive).

no one was asking for a battlepass system
They had done polls prior about what things people would like added to the game. The Battlepass type option was very highly voted among those. Many many people were asking for a battlepass system, you just weren't one of them.
no one forced them to release a battlepass when it clearly wasn't even ready (example: first battlepass has a completely purple arcade cabinet charm - it looks awful, it would have been easy to make it look passable by giving it some sort of texture that isn't literally all purple)
You're totally right, that one mediocre charm is evidence that the battlepass wasn't remotely ready for release. All the other cosmetics, the lore entries, the archives, the cutscenes, how could any of that be released on schedule when this charm looks bad.
Dude the fact that half of the battlepasses are just charms (most of them recolors) shows how half baked these battlepasses are. They could replace the charms with anything including bloodpoints and suddenly the battlepasses look better (let's not forget that every other battlepass gives away their free in-game currencies).

To be fair with object the killer can see them also if looking around.
My fear of a perk like this is that totems should be a second objective imo and one which players should want to do. By making these more risky it removes that want and makes players more likely to just do gens.
No hex perk bar devour hope is that big of a deal leaving it uncleansed in reality.
While I understand its something the community asked for with the hex moving to other dull totems and I think that part is fine and quite a fun addition. I personally dont think it needed the aura reading part as its good enough without it.
Me personally I don't see this perk becoming meta as hex builds are incredibly unreliable (I personally prefer Obsession perks on my killers). But, my point being to the guy I was responding to originally is that survivors do have objectively strong aura reading perks.

Oh you want a casual mode. Not really unpopular but it works.
Essentially, although I was thinking more of a valve like sever/lobby list.

Kill Your Friends needs open matchmaking.

Imagine a survivor perk that instantly gives the killer location any time a totem is worked on.
I can! It's called Object of Obsession and you only need to look in the direction of the killer for it to proc.

Since when have the Devs desperately wanted DbD to become an esport? They've funded 1 tournament since the game has launched which was a complete disaster, and their latest killer and map designs tell me they're going for a cool visual and casual experience than a competitive and balanced one.
They are doing one in two days.
-
I also do not see the logic of leaving something that has been an industry standard since the PS2, and I ask myself that question a lot when I play DBD.

They can dream all they want, there's way too much RNG in the game for it to be viable as an esport. Some totem spawn are a joke, most are easy to find, while in some indoor map like Lery you can get some pretty strong one. That's not counting loops.
Dude the fact that you missed my first post where I say this game needs a map editor in kyf is telling.
-
Yeah looking into news about the transfer it went well. unlike Friday the 13th both sides seem to be in good spirits.

Yeah, and DBD is not a competitive game. Comparing it to Fighting games is simply wrong.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1547574#Comment_1547574
"Because DbD was not BUILT for voice comms. It didn't even have a grouping system. That was added after, when players complained."
Can we for once stop with this? Devs have said that SWF was planned from the beginning but they only had time to either implement SWF or KYF from the start, and they went for KYF.
Even thinking about Developers creating a Multiplayer Game where you cannot play with friends is...eh. SWF was always planned. The non-existence of SWF in the first version does not mean the opposite.
@Topic:
Multiple things against built-in voice communication:
Languages-->Not everyone speaks the same Language. It MIGHT work for the US, because there should be only one language, but not for Europe, we have quite a bunch of Countries and not everyone speaks English well. It is quite common to see Russian Language in the EU Chat for example.
Existing Voice Comms-->If someone is SWF, they will already use Discord. And they wont switch to DBD Voice Comms. If they are a 3 man SWF, they might not want to talk to the Solo. But the Solo is now without communication in a game balanced around communication. (of course the same applys to Language - why should the 3 Italian players talk English with the Russian player?)
Solo Experience-->Not everyone wants to play with friends or talk while playing. There are players who want an immersive experience. Forcing Voice Comms on them either means they are not able to do it, or, once again, are without communication in a game balanced around communication.
And well, Devs also stated that they are not planning to add Voice Comms.
YES, but BHVR so desperately want it to be an ESPORT (fighting games are apart of that) and the frustrating part is they CAN do it but they are too indecisive in adding functions that could help it. If I could run a tournament for DBD I would, but the tools aren't in the game. That includes voice chat for the survivor team (coming from a killer main).

Devs just buffed Bubba, nerfed Billy and changed 4 perks. I've had some tinkerer plays already.
The cake is a lie.
Coming from a fighting game community. This game is nowhere near competitively viable. There need to be a ton of features added to get it close. For example a map editor would be nice to make maps reliable for comp. play would be the bare minimum required for this game to have any competitive base.

How can you stop people from using external comms tho? Do you want devs to scan your software or what?
Btw, "just rebalancing some perks" is not that easy. Most of aura reading perks will became completely useless, while other perks will became stupidly powerful. Easy example. Distortion. Through the match user of this perk might be like "Oh, he don't have bbq". Or "He have NC".
Or, another example. Head on. People will be like "Killer on me, help!" and then his teammate will be "run to this locker, I'll stun him to buy you time".
I'm not even mentioning OoO and meta stuff. Not even mentioning scenarios which don't even involve perks.
And, believe me, I can go on. For a long time.
Maybe it's time for a massive meta change. Personally I'm sick of this area we are in where the devs won't commit to the direction for the future of the game. Whether they want to keep it a casual or start going down a competitive path and don't care which they choose, but they need to choose one. can't have your cake and eat it.
-
As a Pig main myself I agree with the other Pig mains. However, that also doesn't mean be an idiot. The amount of times I have seen a survivor complain that I'm a "Typical Pig Player" because they did a head trap right next to me with my Terror Radius up is insane, and any good player will get you off that box if you are close to them.
-
Fire Up OP.
Sarcasm aside. Having played both killers I would say Plague is more interesting to play especially after her buff and her perks are objectively better and have more utility.
-
Either it's Rank reset or you are getting matched with a SWF that has a green rank (the game probably matched you with this guy) and a red rank.
-
Why are we directing this guy to an FAQ that doesn't answer his question. All it says is that windows store and steam keep post game chat not if it will be added to other platforms in the future. They don't confirm or deny the feature.

TBH lets talk Auras shall we!! Please.
Auras are not a "natural" thing in gaming because it becomes an outline of the player or the killer on the map. Something that is not visually rendered in by the game's Graphics engine. So we have a large discussion coming up here.
Problems with "Auras": This can come off as WALL HACKING. For when any playable character's body is outlined beyond render'd objects. For Example BBQ and Chili, Bond, and a bunch of others. What makes this dangerous for this game is. It becomes CRUTCHING when any point in time a player can see one another.
Dynamically. What makes this game more or less difficult? I run things like HEX: the third seal. In order to hinder survivor rescues to a degree. If a player is in coms with their 4-man team. guess what. it is very likely that this perk is not useful at all.
Sandbaggers excessively use bond. That is another issue in this game.
----
So what degree do we have here. Where Auras make the game too easy for players? Should we actually talk about hardcore modes where Aura playing isn't allowed? It might be feasible?
Dude Auras were in the base game. The meta on both sides is clearly geared towards aura reading. Survivor not as much, but ask any solo survivor and they will tell kindred should be base. If you want to call a integral game mechanic cheating be my guest. Just remember if Auras weren't a thing we would be looking at an incredibly different game.
-
Yes once it's cleansed you still build tokens, but the effect no longer persists.
-
Just to add on to the discussion I have noticed when I play killers that I don't main like Billy or Nurse I got games where people had hours around mine. It's was when I played my mains it got egregious and I was only able to pub stomp people who just picked the game up. Did some experiments unfortunately forgot to record my data there, but I would like to see if any other killers have been having the same issue or would be willing to run experiments of their own.

The amount of people that didn't catch on to this and thought you were being serious is kinda sad.
I don't know maybe they should have put /s as it is very hard to tell that people are being sarcastic in text. And maybe instead of insulting people for being unable to understand nuance in text you actually add something to the conversation then "lol people are dumb".

That's my point Genius.
No my point is there is no license. they don't have to ask anyone to put The Minotaur in the game. unless "All these are great additions, but sadly the License holders were either too lazy or wouldn't allow it." meant something entirely different. or if you are being sarcastic maybe put a /s next time ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

They couldn't change the sounds because of the Licensing.
They couldn't add a new voice because of the licensing.
They couldn't add a new mori animation because the license holders won't allow BHVR.
They couldn't change the name from Oni to The Minotaur because believe me, the License holders wouldn't allow it.
All these are great additions, but sadly the License holders were either too lazy or wouldn't allow it.
Hate to brake it to you but There are no Licenses for Greek myths. They are historical, nobody owns the Minotaur as a concept so you can't use that as an excuse.
