BHVR only brings up data when it favors their decision. They've always been like this. They only take the positive feedback or listen to the parts they want to hear. They want to hear "oh wow good job BHVR!!!", but obviously that's usually not the case. The only reason they even considered tweaking the Billy changes was because people were tired of them making dumb decisions. Massive backlash is what it takes for them to even reconsider. I love the game but it's obvious that the balance team has no clue what they're doing.
-
This list is awful. Clown is really the only I would say needs a rework. By rework I'm assuming they're getting their entire kit changed. Most killers just need small buffs. Also the obligatory Freddy and Spirit aren't okay, but honestly that argument just falls on deaf ears since, y'know, "survivor op".
-
I have to agree with op, since I've also wanted this change. Right now the shrine is nothing but a BP dump for me. But for newer players this would mean they could have a chance to survive and also reduce the grind significantly. DBD's grind is the result of an outdated bloodweb economy, when there were only about 30 perks. We have around 60 now I'm pretty sure, and that's only on the killer side. Also a new player isn't going to want to spend nearly 200$ just to get all of the characters, this is excluding cosmetics and the rift. BHVR probably won't do this since they probably bank on the fact that players have to pay for all the good perks.

@BubbaMain64 I would die for Lust to be a killer :( and the older Eldric Brother to be Survivor. I'd pay instantly!
I was honestly thinking Gluttony but all of them except maybe Greed could work. I just don't know how they would translate anime into DBD appearance wise. I'm sure they'd go for something between their anime look and a human look.
-
There's a difference in "strong" and unfair. Many people don't mind strong things such as Oni or Nurse. But a first hook mori or a Freddy with Swing Chains and Paint brush? These things just tip the game to one side so heavily that survivors can't have fun anymore and basically just have to slam gens. Both sides complain equally as much, its up to you to realize this and try to move past your bias.
-
If you honestly want to learn you may have to throw a few games. Just experiment and see what does/doesn't work. It's usually what I do.
-
I honestly don't know what anime characters would fit. I like horror manga but I can never get my hands on it. The only thing I could think of is one of the homonculi from FMA. I think the problem really is with how over the top anime usually is. Having a killer that just punches a survivor into the wall and collapsing a building on them or have them power all the way up would be hilarious though.
-
Are you kidding? Flashlights are easy to get. Put on Iron Will and Empathy and you're unstoppable.
-
Can't wait to play in competitive DBD Stadia tournies. 16 trillion dollars as 1st place reward and key to the city.
-
I think this is also a way to look at some of the more annoying things in game. Like against certain killer or on a certain map what had the highest chances of resulting in a DC? I know some people will just say "x is boring" as an excuse, but I do think it can give valuable data under the circumstances. Of course this is assuming BHVR isn't doing their classic only listen to the positives.

She brought Fire Up.

That would be way cooler but I think it would break the game. Not balance wise but I mean it quite literally would ######### up the game. As a Demo main I love the idea though, I just want to keep the shred above all else.

Hmm, Thats Killers was be nerfed. u need practice the game and know how avoid hims. and its not the killers its the person whos playing with the killer.
Just because they were nerfed doesn't mean that they're fixed. Spirit still has no counter play and Freddy is way too strong. All that happened to Spirit was a few add-on changes and a vault animation, that does nothing to fix the actual underlying issue.
-
Change happens, whether good or bad. It happens to everything. If DBD never changes then the game will just be stale. There are some killers who do still need to be changed such as Spirit and Freddy since they're super easy to play and two of the best killers in the game.
-
I love it being gone. I never have to play on Ormond, Haddonfield or Midwich ever again.
-
I had a DBD gf for like 15 seconds one time. Somebody should make that into a movie.
-
They did about the same thing with splinters and it was just really buggy and bad. You wouldn't get perks on the killers too so it wasn't a good showcase at all.
-
There was a week where I had super bad internet connection but still needed to grind out my rift so a lot of people called me a lag-switcher. It was annoying for me too since there would be lag spikes that literally let the survivor escape for free with a ton of distance, and you can't use any killer power. The lag spike thing still happens pretty often where the survivor just runs straight ahead and disappears. The best part is that it leaves scratch marks where they ran so you absolutely lose them.
-
The game can end in 4 minutes by the way too. So if you chase one person for longer than a minute then you lose. Honestly I think all survivors should play this way so that it gets fixed. You can't blame the survivors for playing correctly, but also how is the killer going to pressure 3 different people that fast? They can't, its impossible. Unless if you make a noed comeback or something then you just lose because you lose. There's nothing that you can do better in that situation.
-
Don't forget the Groaning Store House can also have 2 of the god windows open. And Gas Heaven can have to back entrance.
They were fixes, but that doesn't mean that the problem is solved.

I don't disagree. As a PH main I would take a change on his M2 (which I have stated before on this post). I just don't think either are OP and it doesn't mean they don't have counterplay. Both missing with their power can lead to a large gap between the killer and survivor, but if survivors are going to play them the same way they play wraith (for example) then of course they are going to complain.
I personally find doc, freddy and spirit far more oppressive as a survivor that these two.
Yea Doc, Spirit and Freddy are undoubtedly the best M1 killers. But the problem comes from the interaction. Survivors just spend the whole chase running forward instead of actually having meaningful interaction against Deathslinger. And PH just denies you from using anything. There is no chance to actually outplay the killer in a pallet loop or juke them into near misses. You just hope they mess up. You hope the Deathslinger misses. You hope your pallet fake works on PH. There's a difference in outplaying somebody and just getting lucky. And having to be lucky all the time has no meaningful interaction.
-
Do gens or leave them. It's usually not worth saving one guy if the killer is hardcore camping. Especially in the early game. I always hate when my teammates do everything BESIDES gens just to save me or someone being face camped. They give the killer pressure and kills. Meaning that they're going to do it more often since they were rewarded for it. Removing hook grabs removes risk for healthy survivors and means you can't interrupt them anymore. So it's a guaranteed unhook no matter what.

I think most of them just want the points or don't know what they're doing. It's always something that I question too, since you basically waste all the time you just had to run away.
-
I mean if we're using Scott as an example, he explains clearly why it's a problem. It's not that they're op, it's just that it leads to stale gameplay. PH's intended use of his power sucks, but with his zoning he can secure a lot of hits for basically pressing a button. Deathslinger can do the same and has a power you can barely react to. A chase with a Deathslinger is like Nurse but without all of the fun aspects. You just keep distance and LOS between the two of you since you can't actually loop him. But he never catches up and its just you holding w the whole match. PH is just cheap hits for free since "oooh I'm gonna do it oooh just kidding I didn't do it :))" smack. That's all PH's game play boils down too. PH needs his power changed to be more appealing to use and remove the zoning. At the current moment in time that's all he really has going for him.
Scott's video:
-
If it isn't broken within the first 30 seconds, the killer was far enough away to get a stack, along with other variables? It isn't a lazy perk. In fact its probably one the most rewarding ones to use. I love playing against a Devour Hope killer to be completely honest. It ramps up the stakes without feeling like the killer just wins for free now.
-
He's vertically challenged. In all honestly though, the power drain should pause when going up or down. Even better would be to let him put trails on elevated surfaces.
-
Low tier killers op.

Things that either don't exist, or that most killers cannot do because of how terribly designed they are.
For killers like Bubba and Clown? Definitely. But basically the rest of the roster is playable. The problem isn't that most killers are designed terribly, the problem is most killer players are terrible at the game. There's only 2 really strong loops left in the game, which is the Coldwind blimp and the Game's outdated tiles near the bathroom. Besides Ormond, Haddonfield, and Midwich, you always have a chance to apply pressure unless you get REALLY bad rng for tiles. Which is not all the time. I need to clarify that because many killers will treat it like its constant. It's the mentality that's the problem. You have to recognize your mistakes or else you cannot improve. Blaming the game doesn't help you improve. Killer is all about decision making and planning. Watch videos on how to combat common loops. Be tricky in chases, don't do what they expect you to. Enduring, STBF, Brutal and Bamboozle are your friend. You don't get pressure for free. You have to be aggressive. Slug people and don't take long chases unless you know you're about to get a down. If somebody gives you trouble in chases save them for last and pick off the weaker ones or even wait until they're in a bad spot and you can get an easy hit. Bad killers exist due to a refusal of accepting their mistakes. When you think you're doing nothing wrong you get frustrated. Then you blame the other side. Then it leads into the us vs them mentality. The irony of it all is, I see way more entitled killer mains complaining about entitled survivors and how broken things are, far more than actual entitled survivor mains.

I think sets of 2 are ok. Anything beyond had best be like a giant blob that cannot be seperated. But I get what you mean. I want seperate head + body cosmetics for survivors, but I also really want dresses that don't have weird seams
But also, this thread was not asking for that. It was asking what sets you wanted to see, if none, just don't say anything and waste anybody's time. Make your own thread.
That's what I want to see out of them though.
-
Mindbreaker is used in over 80% of matches, this has caused us to reevaluate the perk.
-
Them not being a set so we can use our cosmetics how we want to.

Yes I have, and SC let's me know he's coming way before his TR... And he's never right next to me. I hear him coming and still have time to get away. Do you use headphones?
M&A Deathslinger has no tells other than breathing. Even then he's right on your ass. Sure, you could look out for him, but by the time you see him you're most likely about to get capped. A M&A Deathslinger is probably some of the best stealth in the game since, as I stated, there are no sound ques for him until you're right next to him. Pig has her sheathing, Myers dry heaves into the microphone, and Ghostface has his wooshy sound. All of these exist for a reason. It's so that survivors have some way to know you're beside them and they can try to do something based off of that. Pair that with him having the upper hand in every chase to nearly a Spirit level, and he's probably one of the most annoying things to go against.

Count yourself Lucky. If Freddy was removed it would force some of the bad killers down a lot of ranks. He's quite literally the most lame brain killer ever. He require no skill to play. No knowledge about looping to win chases. Has addons for slowdown and while Forever Freddy was nerfed. You can still heavily slow the game down. I still see a heavy amount of hookcides against him much higher than any other killer.
On the other hand. I hope you get your Quinten.
Agreed.
-
He definitely is, you can do so much with his power its unbelievable. Check out some of the guides for him. I'm All Ears is good for learning if that's your sole focus, since he does take a lot of time to properly play. Try to think of inventive ways to use shred and see what works. That's what I did.
-
Farmer and Ardetha are my two favs. I don't really hate any. Most are just really boring to watch since it's just royalty free music over layed on the game audio. I feel bad for Ussylis though, he can't do anything without being called a toxic scumbag lmao.

SWF is not that hard to deal with. Some of you are just legitimately bad. I kill a majority of them and usually take out 2 at the very least of a good team. Not everybody you face is a try hard swf, in 2 years of maining killer I've only run into 4 or 5 of these death squad teams. But of course you didn't get a free 4k so that means SWF is broken. Yes, it is harder than a solo team, but it's not to the degree everyone paints it as. SWF isn't a boogie man that you have no chance against. You need to play better.
-
I don't think that his stalk should be an infinite source, since EW3 is far more threatening to a team, as opposed to Ghostface's stalk where he only attacks one person for 40 seconds. A lot of Micheal's can pop their tier 3 fast and I think you get it 7 times.
-
Wait do you mean you don't find getting quick-scoped in a milisecond fun?

I would think a chasing ability that promotes aggressive game-play would suit him. His ability charges after blank seconds of chasing, where he has increased recovery time (i.e blade wipe, pallet break, pick up, etc) for a short period of time. When in this ability he can't be stunned by pallets, but does a short animation of him throwing the pallet back upwards when it lands on him. Maybe around 2 seconds or a little less? I think it'd be interesting and not too punishing, while also not too weak. Survivors still have the pallet but the stun time is halved, so they can't just loop around the same structure repeatedly. Along with a small dash that can be activated to close distance. Like maybe 3 or less seconds of increased movement speed that can be used for a small portion of the power gauge. 15% of it? Maybe 10%. I also think having a mobility power would be nice. It's just him traveling through fog, but he can only see auras of things and makes a unique, faint sound when nearby. Maybe howling wind or something like that. I don't think something like that really deserves a time limit but there could be one. These are all just suggestions so take it with a grain of salt. I know there's probably a bunch of problems with it.

No shes perfectly balanced people don't like her because the most common method of play, looping has no effect on a good Spirit.
Which means you can't do anything. Loops are how you counter killers. Standing in a field or crouching in a corner not only kills you, but also your team. If you unhook there's a good chance the killer is coming back to pressure you and your teammate. So if you can't loop her she basically wins for free. But if you don't take pressure off your teammate then you're down another man, which in turn makes the match easier for the Spirit. You don't have anything to react to and she always knows where you are. How is any of this balanced? It's death no matter what.
